Make Slideshow Full Page Height in Bedford
chrissygray posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://chihuahua-indigo-nax8.squarespace.com I'm trying to make the homepage banner stretch to the bottom of the screen. I thought this was an issue of removing the pre-footer and footer, however the code that I've used to do this does not remove the white space that's currently below the slideshow. I've been testing this by changing the colors of the pre-footer and footer and have founds that neither are part of the white space. How can I make the slideshow banner stretch to the bottom of the screen without any white space? Help would be greatly appreciated!- 1 reply

Site URL: https://www.herocards.us I'd like advice on the best way to create a page (Bedford template) filled with links that are sortable by category. My site has story pages for individual U.S. service members, and it's growing rapidly. My thought is to have a one-stop page that links for each service member, numbered consecutively. Ideally, the user would click Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Space Force, and the list would reflect their choice. No need for images or descriptions. Just a page that fills with the names, which link to the service member’s individual page. It's simple enough to do a long list of text links. But I need help on how to make the sortable categories.

Site URL: https://chihuahua-indigo-nax8.squarespace.com I'm trying to remove the prefooter and footer completely from this site: https://chihuahua-indigo-nax8.squarespace.com When I use the code below, however, a black bar shows up in the place of the prefooter/footer. #prefooter, #footer { display: none!important; } I'm trying to remove the area completely so the photos extend to the bottom of the page. Thank you!

CSS removed banner event image but hides the navigation menu
SarahO posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.firstblessing.org/2022-events/2022/6/25/west-university-church-of-christ-houston I have added the following CSS to remove banner images from my individual events. .collection-type-events.view-item .banner-thumbnail-wrapper { display: none; } However, it also changes the solid gray header background to white making it seem like my navigation menu has disappeared even though it hasn't. The event text is moved up into the header area - you can barely see the top of it overlaying the text "must be registered individually". Question is how do I modify the CSS to restore the solid gray header and move the event content down so you can see the navigation menu as shown on this page - https://www.firstblessing.org/2022-events -
Make image title text larger in grid layout
YearwoodGraphicDesign posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://jaysimala.com/home Does anyone have a fix on how to make the title text on images in the grid format larger? I'm using the Bedford template and 7.0 -
Site URL: https://www.firstblessing.org/2022-events My client is currently using an events page on a Squarespace 7.0 site. It is the Bedford template so it doesn't allow me to add any other blocks because it doesn't have any of the usual insertion points. They would like to utilize the Advanced Map Block plugin to show a map of the different locations for their events on the events page. Is this something that can be accomplished with CSS code or Javascript?

Site URL: https://www.ai-konic-graphics.com IMG_1070.MOV Even experienced designers/coders need help sometimes. I have the smallest issue with the mobile portion of my website. This seems to only happens on the “services” page in the navigation. When you scroll to read the contents on the page is gets narrow as you scroll towards the bottom. I even set mobile CSS styling so they are exact.

Site URL: http://cow-clavichord-482z.squarespace.com Hey there! I'm working on a website for a client using the Bedford template 7.0. -- They requested a slideshow in their banner area which I was able to create using a gallery. With the help of Tuan, he helped me resize the images of the gallery to look good on mobile. My clients concern now is fixing the font or rather the placement of "Living Solutions" on the mobile platform. They want it to be one line across similar to how it is the desktop version. I've also posted the code that I was given to resize the images for the gallery. password conexmasters

Bedford: How to make Footer area shorter
mrlukecampbell posted a question in Coding and Customization
I am currently working on a site for my church using the Bedford theme and am wanting to make the footer shorter than it automatically is within the theme. Every HTML/CSS trick I've tried has successfully shrunk the container, but as a result has pushed the text box for the footer down, off the canvas. Any idea how I can shrink the footer space while not cutting off the text box? Thanks in advance!- 8 replies

Site URL: https://www.firstblessing.org/2022-events I'm currently using an Events page on the Bedford template and would like the option to add text to the top of the page (above the first event) to remind people to verify they are registering for the correct event but I don't have the option to add any of the usual blocks as none of the usual insertion points are present. I would also like to add a search box so people can search events based on location but again - no insertion points. Is there CSS code that I can use on this page for these options?

In this template I can't find the section-id to target the code. I also tried markdown blocks, but then I don't know how to get it into two coloums. Center the DESKTOP navigation in Bedford 7.0
CBGreenhouses posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.cedarbuiltgreenhouses.com/ Tuan, my friend, I know you are out there and will help me yet again.😄 I have switched the site over to the Bedford style but I want the white text "HOME" to "Testimonials" to appear in the center of the page. I would like the contact & About button to stay at the far right. I noticed you have tried to tackle this problem before but were unsuccessful. It seems they got displayed as a hamburger: https://forum.squarespace.com/topic/168758-center-align-logo-with-bedford-70-template/ https://forum.squarespace.com/topic/145081-center-logo-and-navigation-in-bedford/ I believe that the "Site title container Width" has something to do with this. Please see my attached photos where I changed the size. 275 to 150 px. You can see the blue box area at the top changes but the navigation does not snap to the center. If possible I would like the Nav Button to stay at the far right. I believe in you Tuan! Thanks for your help always.
