  1. Site URL: https://virginsuncare.com I am trying to get my background video to play with sound on Squarespace Version 7.1. Is there any code to interject somewhere that will allow this? The sounds comes through perfectly when using just a Video Block but it doesn't come through at all when embedding the video into the background. I would really appreciate any guidance here. Thank you!
  2. Hey guys, this code I have found/put together from what i know, but when previewing in mobile, my hidden audio block doesn't autoplay. Can anyone help please? <script> window.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', function() { //wait for document load var audio = document.querySelector('.sqs-audio-embed'); //select the audio block var checkOnLoad = function() { if (window.pageYOffset > 200) { } else { audio.play(); } {audio.loop = true;} }; if (audio) { var url = audio.getAttribute('data-url'); //get the audio src Y.one(audio).ancestor('.sqs-block-audio').setStyle('display','none'); audio = new Audio(url); window.addEventListener('load', checkOnLoad); //listen for window load and toggle audio state checkOnLoad(); } }) </script>
  3. Site URL: https://www.auxart.net I can add a video but the sound will not be read. Is there any CSS code I could use to have a video with audio playing as my banner background? Also the video is sometimes not read on mobile devices depending of the browser versions. Any ideas on how I can counter that? Thanks very much! Sarah
  4. Hi there, Does anyone know of a way to capture clicks/listens to an audio block? Is there a capability within Squarespace for this? I know there isn't for podcast tracking but I'm wondering if a capture for just a regular audio block is possible. Thank you!
  5. Site URL: http://richardmcreynolds.com/listen Hello, I am creating audio players for my website. They are almost where I want them to be, I was just wondering what is the code to change the colour of the bar that shows how far you are through a track? Thanks Rich
  6. My Spotify playlist doesn't update on my website when I add new tracks to the playlist. Any help would be great!
  7. Hello, I am attempting to change the code for my Audio Blocks in the Fiver template to match my site colors (I use the audio blocks to post episodes of a podcast.) I was able to change the background color of the main bar and the color of the tile font but can not seem to change the author text color, play button or progress bar (one trick was to realize the title font was set for the LIGHT setting, not the DARK setting of Audio block). Was hoping for some suggestions. Here's the code I've been using and thank you in advance Tim. .sqs-widgets-audio-player { background: #2f518f !important; background: -webkit-linear-gradient( #2f518f) !important; border: 02px solid #fff952 !important; border-radius: 0px 0px 0px 0px; color: #fff952; } .audio-author { color: #fff952 !important; } .audio-title { color: #fff952 !important; } .volume .bar.active { border-right-color: #fff952 !important; } .volume .bar { border-right-color: #fff952 !important; } .progress { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #707070 !important; } .controls { color: #fff952 !important; }
  8. Site URL: https://tiranube.com Hi squarespacers. The name of my company is quite exotic (TIRANUBE). I asked a fellow voice artist to record "the right pronunciation", and I'd like to have a button in my home page that read "This is who you pronounce it:" with a small speaker icon. Ideally, when you click it, and you'd hear a 95kb .mp3 my friend sent me. Thing is, I don't know what would be the best way to make this happen? HTML5 + CSS? Do I need to write some Javascript code? Or is there a simpler way to accomplish this feat :)? THANK YOU
  9. I'm currently in need of adding a streaming radio player to my site from Code Canyon. the code has 2 sections: 1st section: <div id="myradiodivcontainer" style='height:65px; width:100%; -webkit-border-top-left-radius: 0; -webkit-border-top-right-radius: 0; -webkit-border-bottom-right-radius: 0; -webkit-border-bottom-left-radius: 0; -moz-border-radius-topleft: 0; -moz-border-radius-topright: 0; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 0; -moz-border-radius-bottomleft: 0; border-top-left-radius: 0; border-top-right-radius: 0; border-bottom-right-radius: 0; border-bottom-left-radius: 0; border: 0px none rgb(255, 255, 255);'> <div style="overflow:hidden; height:0px; width:0px;"><a href="https://www.flashradio.info" title="native html internet radio player plugin">NATIVE INTERNET WEB RADIO PLAYER PLUGIN FOR SHOUTCAST, ICECAST AND RADIONOMY</a> powered by <a href="https://www.sodah.de" title="wordpress webdesign mainz">Sodah Webdesign Mainz</a></div> </div> 2nd Section: <script> $("#myradiodivcontainer").flashradio({ token: "hidden", userinterface: "small", backgroundcolor: "", themecolor: "#ff0000", themefontcolor: "#ffffff", startvolume: "100", radioname: "Sphere Radio", scroll: "auto", autoplay: "true", useanalyzer: "fake", analyzertype: "4", usecover: "true", usestreamcorsproxy: "false", affiliatetoken: "1000lIPN", debug: "false", ownsongtitleurl: "", radiocover: "", songgooglefontname: "", songfontname: "", titlegooglefontname: "", titlefontname: "", corsproxy: "php", streamprefix: "", mountpoint: "", radiouid: "", apikey: "", radiojar: "nu9cq4mt92quv", streamid: "1", streampath: "/live", streamtype: "radiojar", streamurl: "http://stream.radiojar.com/nu9cq4mt92quv", songinformationinterval: "5000", }); </script> I have read that I should add code for jquery library to make the player function and regardless where I add the library code, it's not working. I've tried the global header and footer. I've also tried adding the code on the specific page we want to use (http://www.thesphere.tv/radio); still the code block will not populate the radio player. I have tried different variations of jquery library: src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.4.1/jquery.min.js"></script> or <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.4.1.min.js" integrity="sha256-CSXorXvZcTkaix6Yvo6HppcZGetbYMGWSFlBw8HfCJo=" crossorigin="anonymous"></script> Same issue. Perhaps I'm not adding the div code to the right block or place or the script code is not going into the right place. I'm lost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Hey there! I've been looking for ages for a way to do this in Squarespace: a before/after player. All audio mixing/mastering engineers, as well as post-production houses would explode out of sheer joy if this suddenly became possible. As seen in the image I attached, the player would start both audios (before and after files) simultaneously and use volume of each to create a crossfade. Click on "before" and hear the "before" audio clip, while the "after" clip is silently playing. Click on "after" and crossfade between the two audio files, with the "before" clip playing silently. One player would work for 2 files. There should be a visual indicator that the buffers are full before the user triggers "play". Apparently this could be done with Javascript. Is this plugin possible within Squarespace? Thanks a lot!
  11. Site URL: https://www.christopherflemingsmith.com/ Hello! I have placed a short .Mp3 on my website - and it plays fine. BUT, it only plays ONCE. I have to reload the page in order for the audio to replay. Request: How do I make it so that my audio file can be stopped, scrubbed back/ahead, and replayed - WITHOUT having to refresh my browser? I need listeners to be able to review my Voice Acting demo with as much flexibility as possible. *Note: Audio file currently on site is TEST AUDIO Thank you in advance! Christopher Los Angeles, CA
  12. Site URL: https://banjo-recorder-36fe.squarespace.com Hi there. I would like to prevent audio blocks from playing on a new window while on mobile, version 7.1. Is there any way to do it across the website on Custom CSS or Code Injection? Kind regards, Miguel
  13. Tried various audio code blocks for audio URL (that uses a mp3 file upload in squarespace), all of them hide and autoplay when in Squarespace, but don't play when visiting site directly. Anyone know any workarounds? the normal audio block does not autoplay w/ code I've tried, thanks!
  14. Site URL: https://www.aimco.org.au my embed code looks like this <div id='buzzsprout-small-player-1735946'></div><script type='text/javascript' charset='utf-8' src='https://www.buzzsprout.com/1735946.js?container_id=buzzsprout-small-player-1735946&player=small'></script> but it wont work in the external file link on an audio block. I'm obviously doing something wrong, but don't know what! would apprecaite some help thanks Heather
  15. For a live theatre piece - I'm looking to have a squarespace site playback a handful of different radio streams. I'm happy to discover that the audio block can play live radio. Seems to work 99% perfectly. While latency is mostly noncritical - I would love for the "pause" button to instead "stop" the stream. So hitting "play" afterwords doesn't put you egregiously out of sync ( a little bit is fine). Curious if there's a custom bit of code to do this - or something parralel / similiar. Thanks in advance.
  16. I am creating a site for someone who does podcasting. We need to be able to add their podcast audio to the blog article list page, so the user doesnt have to click into each article to listen to the next episode. Does anyone know of a way I can add audio or an embed code into the excerpt or another way to get audio or embed code to display on the blog list page?
  17. Site URL: https://www.kctracks.com/learning-tracks Greetings all! I'm stuck in a rut. I did a lot of custom CSS on my site on my own and felt pretty good about my customization skills. Now I'm trying to implement something that is beyond my scope and it's stalled me for weeks. I wanted to reach out to see if any creative coders out there could point me toward a solution or plugin or anything. Without using too many words, basically, my website's store looks like this and I would really love if I could get it to have the feature found HERE. The function where you hover over a product image, an audio player appears, and you can hear an audio file play without leaving the product page. I've tried inserting audio blocks and hiding them. Inserting HTML into code blocks with <audio>. I just cannot figure out how to get a specific audio file to attach to a specific image/product wrapper and be invisibly "floating above" said product. I really appreciate any form of insight or rudimentary concepts of ideas. Best, -Keegan
  18. Site URL: https://www.lanouvellecompagnie.com/au-coeur-des-tenebres Hi everybody, I have a question regarding the possibility to stop the reading of an audio file when another source with audio is launched on the same page. Basically, this page is a presentation of an artistic project. I'd like to offer to visitors the possibility to listen to a soundtrack excerpt, so they can get in the mood while they're reading the description texts. For this I can either add an audio block or a soundcloud block into the first section on my page. Then, a video excerpt is proposed after the texts. I timed a two minutes reading before visitors get to the video, so this will be the lenght of the audio excerpt. But as everybody has a different reading, I wonder if there is any way the audio player can automaticly stop (or pause) when the video is being played. As I said, the audio player can either be an audio block or a soundcloud player. I'ld like the video to be played through Vimeo player, but I can use another one if needed. Moreover, I'ld like to not use autoplay and give choice to the visitor to listen to the excerpt or not. (the audio and video files are just exemples, at the moment). Thanks for your time !
  19. Site URL: http://www.elliothigger.com Hey everyone! I'm trying to add audio that plays automatically over images on a site. The idea is that as an image comes on to the screen, audio would start to play (no hitting a button needed, and no button would even be visible to hit). The audio would continue to play for the duration that a user maintains the image on the screen. As they move to the next image, a new audio clip would fade in (a fade would need to be added as well). Any ideas on how to achieve this? PS - I'll be building a new site for this project from scratch. It said I had to submit a site to ask this question so I used that one. I apologize if that's confusing in any way. Thanks!
  20. Site URL: https://theearthissue.com/strange-flowers Password to site is: whatsthepassword Also is in this jsfiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/cokLej8s/1/ Want to turn audio player into a circle with just start and stop functionality. can get it nearly there but cannot remove extra bit on the right hand side.
  21. Hello! Hope all of you are keeping safe & well, I'm looking for some options to gather analytics from audio files. Some basic data such as the number of plays etc would be great. Does anyone know of any options for this? As far as I am aware, it is not possible to gather this type of analytic data using the standard Squarespace Audio Blocks but perhaps there is a 3rd party plugin for this? Thank you in advance 🙂
  22. HI! I'm a building a site for a podcast. My goal is to enable listening to audio and reading a text at the same time, therefore I need to make my audio player move with the scrolling of the page. I have seen a couple of codes like this : #id { position: fixed; bottom: 0; right: 0; z-index: 999; } But nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Thank you!
  23. Site URL: https://www.abcdefghuman.com From my new Squarespace website, how do I autoplay my own MP3 composition with no visible MP3 player? I've seen various random solutions on this forum but some date back to 2014, so am hoping there is a new code out there, that I can efficiently inject into the main header. Cheers
  24. Is there a way to add an audio player above the add to cart? I know you add one using the additional info but there is no way to move it.
  25. Site URL: https://www.1999worldwide.com/music Here's the audio widget: .sqs-widgets-audio-player {box-shadow: 2px 5px 15px rgba(0,0,0,0.2); background:linear-gradient(to right, lightblue,pink)!important; border-radius: 35px!important} .sqs-widgets-audio-player .title-wrapper .title, .sqs-widgets-audio-player .artistName, .sqs-widgets-audio-player .time {color: #fff!important} .sqs-widgets-audio-player .action .play-button {border-left-color: #fff!important} .sqs-widgets-audio-player .action .pause{border-color: #fff!important} Here's what I am trying to accomplish: .sqs-widgets-audio-player:first-child {background:#E50026!important;} .sqs-widgets-audio-player:nth-child (2) {background:#006AFE!important;} .sqs-widgets-audio-player:nth-child (3) {background:#10A786!important;} .sqs-widgets-audio-player:last-child {background:#FFCD1C!important;} Here's the problem: The global color of the audio blocks will only correspond the last-child Please help, Thank you!
