  1. Hello all, I have added CSS to create a blur effect on the header and it works great. However, it seems that the line "background-filter" is causing the mobile menu to stop functioning on android devices (it works fine on iphone). Specifically when you click the hamburger icon, it changes to an X but the menu itself won't expand. I have tried a few adjustments to the CSS including adding a -webkit-background-filter line but nothing seems to work unless I completely remove that line. Any ideas? My header code snippet is below. Website URL is www.adeptmedicalgroup.com
  2. So on desktop Mobile preview, everything is where I'd like it to be, see 1st pic. Notice you can see the menu in the header. However, on the actual mobile website (using Android built-in browser and Chrome--not sure if it matters), it'll load the content portion and at first I didn't noticed but then if you "swipe left" slightly, there's this weird white column. It's only meant to scroll down. That's when I also noticed the menu from header is also "missing" but it's not. It's actually on the top right corner of the white column. If anyone can help me out that would be great! If it involves any custom coding please walk me through it. I noticed coding in other thread but I wouldn't even know where to enter it! I'm hoping it's something simple or some button I forgot to click.
  3. Hello! So, a few weeks ago, I revamped my website to the point where it is now. Everything looked great, all the previews were how I wanted them to be. Today, I randomly decided to check out my website on my phone and it looks nothing like the preview does in the /config loadout when I am working on my site. I hadn't looked at it until now cause the previews were showing everything in order. Could I get someone to look at this and Let me know if it does look messed up on your end as well Help me figure out how to fix this Thank you! P.S. - Here's what things look like on my end The preview of the mobile site via the /config page on my computer How it looks like when I go to the site on my phone
  4. Hi there, So I have found a new bug with my site (it never ends hahah). My hamburger drop-down menu on my mobile header works perfectly fine on all Apple devices and when clicked, will expand to show my different page links. I provided a screenshot from my iPhone to show you what it should look like on all mobile devices. However, when my site is viewed on a Samsung device, the hamburger drop-down menu does not fully expand to show the page links. I will provide a photo of my site on a Samsung Galaxy phone to show you what it looks like when the hamburger drop-down is clicked on there. I am a novice programmer and I have coded my whole site by myself but this one is stumping me. I think it is a spacing issue or possibly related to the viewport. Help! Site: robinclip.com Password: squarespace Thank you
  5. Hey! So I have two questions and I'm going to post them both to save spamming the forum. My website is: http://choypingclarkeng.com/ 1: I want to make the Chinese text on this page into a different font/size etc. You can see it also isn't really in line with the English text either. https://www.choypingclarkeng.com/theatremaking/wwww 2: On my Mac, the font I want for the main links shows up for the Chinese text. I've adjusted this in code injection to make it look right. However on my Windows laptop and Android phone, the Chinese text is in a different font/size/etc. And on my Android: Is there a way to fix this so it will look like the style I want? It's really annoying! Thank you.
  6. We've been up and running with Squarespace for about six months now. We're a pet retailer with three physical shops in the UK and now an online shop. Overall, Squarespace has been a top class experience, however we've noticed a few missing functions we really need: 1 - The ability to select a Fulfilment Profile when creating a product on the mobile app Our staff post products using the mobile app because they can take photos on their phones of the animals in-store and do it there and then. They don't have access to a laptop and the desktop version. Annoyingly, the mobile app doesn't currently let them choose a Fulfilment Profile, which means I or someone else has to separately set the Fulfilment Profile for each product/animal afterwards on a laptop. Which makes a one-person task a two-person task for each animal posted. 2 - The ability to select store categories when creating a product on the mobile app for Android Our staff with Android phones can't set store categories when they publish products. It only appears to be available on the iOS app. Which again means I or someone else on a laptop or with iOS has to set the categories for each product after a staff member has published it. 3 - The ability to set a separate SEO page title for store category pages Our animal category pages are named for visitors when they're on the site and browsing e.g. Geckos, Leopard Geckos, Crested Geckos. However, we know that we could appear in better positions on search engines and attract more valuable clickthroughs if we had separate SEO titles like Geckos For Sale, Leopard Geckos For Sale. But currently we can only set one category name for both. 4 - The ability to use Clearpay with local pickup orders My guess is Clearpay needs a customer address in order to accept an application, so for local pickup orders the customer doesn't provide an address therefore Clearpay isn't available to them. Our products are live animals, so many customers will pick up in store. However, many of our customers want to use Clearpay. Couldn't Squarespace or Clearpay ask for an address for local pickup orders if the customer chooses Clearpay at checkout, explaining that it's necessary for the Clearpay application? That way, anyone who doesn't choose Clearpay doesn't enter an address, while anyone who chooses it does - having seen a notice explaining why it's now required. We've contacted Squarespace multiple times and requested these fundamental features, but when or whether they get implemented, who knows! Just wondering if anyone else needs these functions as much as we do? Or if anyone's found workarounds? Cheers!
  7. Hi, I experience that the hamburger menu on Android phones is not displayed correct. Anyone out there who know how to adjust this? Thanks in advance - any input is appreciated 🙂 Marlene
  8. I used LTC Bodoni 175 for my site. It works on desktop and iOS, but not on Android mobile view. What can I do to fix the font on Android mobile view? Thanks!
  9. Hey Guys www.rhadleonardi.com.au Can you test my site for seed says its slow in GT, but think thats all s.s sites, it manly design for phone, I cant really get the porfolio the way I want but have to live with as I can delete thoguth about moving it to a new page. Cheers
  10. The font seems to be loading on desktop everywhere (not only the desktops where the font has been installed). Safari on iOS loads the font aswell but chrome on android does not. Does anyone know what I might've done wrong? (worked out in Wordpress and fonts have been uploaded in the fonts folder)
  11. When going to the e-mail form (via the e-mail icon) on the website when viewed on Android in Portrait mode, I am unable to scroll in order to access the Submit button. If I zoom in even a little bit, I am then able to scroll. Once I zoom out and scroll back to the top of the form, I again cannot scroll down to access the Submit button. There is no issue when accessing the form in Landscape mode on the phone. This occurs on both Chrome and Edge.
  12. Hello Everyone! https://rvsb.squarespace.com/ Site password = 2022RVSB I'm having trouble understanding the cause of a change to site formatting that only occurs on Android / Google Chrome and Firefox browsers On the squarespace mobile site editor, as well as my iphone, I don't see the same issues. Does anyone have insight as to why this occurs? Any solutions? I appreciate the help! Two screenshots you can see from the SqSpace mobile editor, looks the same on my iphone. Other two screenshots, from Android device using Google Chrome.
  13. Would someone be willing to look at the following pages to see how best to go about the alignment issues that occur when viewing these pages in mobile view. The desktop view is good but some funky stuff happens in mobile. Thanks in advance for your help!!!
  14. Site URL: https://www.worldapart.tv Hi Everyone, I've put together a website for a client but he has come back to say that some of his contacts with Android phones cant view the website. I checked on an Android phone today and all I get is a blank screen? I have this code installed in the custom CSS to adjust the hamburger icon and menu: a { text-decoration: none !important; } @media screen and (min-width:768px) { h1 { } /* hide header navigation */ .header-nav { display: none; } /* Hide header buttons */ .header-actions { display: none; } /* show burger menu*/ .header-burger { display: flex; } /* burger */ .burger-inner>div { width: 40% !important; height: 3px !Important; } .header--menu-open .header-menu .header-menu-nav a { font-size: 20px; } /* Show overlay mobile menu */ .header--menu-open .header-menu { opacity: 1; visibility: visible; } } I can't see that this is the cause but posting in case. The homepage is a full screen video streamed from Vimeo. I have no idea what the issue is as it loads fine on my iPhone and MacBook? Appreciate help with this. Jason
  15. Site URL: https://whiskanddish.com.au I've recently launched this website, and have been informed that some of the images are cropping on Android devices (see below screenshot) Is there a bit of code I can use to stop this from happening? It looks perfect on iOS devices. www.whiskanddish.com.au Thank you!
  16. Over the past 18 months we have been able to save our small business by having a beautiful online store with Squarespace. We had people buy gift cards through their and we now have people order from all over the country. It's been a lifesaver - and while we use a different POS for in-store purchases with the Commerce app we have been able to quickly update any in-store purchases and get easy notifications for any purchases coming in from the website so we can pull inventory before it sells in-store. We have also been able to redeem the online gift cards through the app, which has allowed us to "use them" in-store. It's been really good. However, now with the Commerce app being removed, we can no longer use the online gift cards in store and we cannot get notifications to our phones and iPad when orders come in. We can only see them in email. In addition, I have an Android phone which won't even allow we to do sales with the app in-person and even though I just downloaded the new app I cannot even update inventory through it, as it crashes immediately if I try to do anything with the inventory. Heading into the holiday season, with COVID back on the rise, I am really concerned that taking away the Commerce app is going to negatively impact our already small business. Why is such a change being made when the new app clearly doesn't have the features that the current one has? Why are you taking away options for businesses at this time? In talking to a rep they told me I should have a computer ready in case someone wants to use an online gift card in store and they should have to put their entire order in that way instead of me being able to redeem it how I have been. How does this seem like a reasonable workaround for this - when there already was a system that worked? If anyone knows someone who has figured out a workaround please let me know. We need to find a way to make this work and I'm really frustrated that Squarespace has been non-responsive.
  17. Me and a buddy are looking for a platform to develop some ideas, problem is that the idea we're focused on at the moment turns out to be fairly complex and requires quie a few features such as geolocation, social functions, payment options etc. Having a limited budget we can't afford right now a full development of native apps both on Android and iOS
  18. Hey there, I embedded the acuity scheduling booking system into my Wordpress site. Appears to work fine on most devices apart from one user who has a samsung galaxy S10+. She reports that when she tries to use the booking system, when she needs to add her contact details the form becomes too big for the screen and requires tricky scrolling to enter details and move between input fields. I also have an android (Huawei) and I don't have this problem. Any support with this would be much appreciated. Thanks booking video.mp4
  19. Site URL: https://www.zertifai.com/ The background that I am using for my website doesn't show properly on Android. It's either all black, or the first section is black. It shows properly on desktop and iPhone. Any idea what could be going on and how to solve this?
  20. Site URL: https://burgundy-onion-29xp.squarespace.com/ Hi, I'm building a very simple site, mainly for use on mobile that has a few images with hyperlinks off to various external websites. With one of the images I want to embed code, so that when the user taps the image it triggers their camera app to open, to then enable them to scan a QR code which will take them to an external link. Does anyone know how I can do this? By way of explanation - as a business we label clients assets with QR codes. The client can then scan the QR code with their phone and see a report about that asset.
  21. Up until recently we've used the commerce android app to take Point of Sale credit card payments. The commerce app has been deprecated and it pointed me to the squarespace app. The android squarespace app has a commerce tab but no longer has the "Sell Now" button. Weirdly, the iOS version of the squarespace app DOES have the "Sell Now" button. How do I use the android app to do Point of Sale?
  22. Site URL: https://www.perrondo.com/ Hello, I hope you are well! I am reaching out for some sort of help. It is about the behaviour of my site on Mobile. I made some small changes in the design. After I went to check on Mobile (Androïde) and notice a bug. At the first viewing, everyting is fine. But when I leave a gallery and try to come back to it, all the photos are gone. 😞 I have tried to fix this by changing the Summary block for a Gallery block, just don't work. Also making a page with Images Blocks and Textes Blocks still the same bug on my Mobile. I have been discussing this matter with SS customer care. They recommend the fix I mention above, which don't work. They also said it is a technical bug on their side with androïde mobile. Seems as if it has been there for 2 weeks now. They cannot tell how long or even if they can fix it. So I am looking for a work around solution. Maybe you have a clue. Thank you for helping out. Or directing me to someone who can. Dominique
  23. Site URL: https://www.stacyhavener.com/ My client's site (https://www.stacyhavener.com/) is loading the background image in the header area a little weird on Android. Android users report the image is "snapping" or "flashing." Some (but not all) Android users also see the text load twice. As in it displays, then seems to "blink" and display again. I've looked through the best practices. I've downsized the images, cropped them more tightly, and removed site animation. Can anyone give pointers on what I could try to do to solve this? Thanks so much!
  24. Site URL: https://ax-maxwell.squarespace.com password: axmaxwell Hello, I need help in optimizing my website for mobile view. In the works page, I want to show one column of video only in mobile view instead 2 columns. And I want it in 4:3 aspect ratio. I am using a summary block if this information helps. Note: The desktop version stays the same, only the mobile view. Also, how do I make it so that when I choose a filter it automatically disappears? Right now, when I choose a filter, the menu still shows and I have to press X. Thank you very much!
  25. Site URL: https://thunderfoxmusic.com Hi, I'm pretty new to Custom CSS and have been using it based off the advice found on forums. I'm trying to display a different fixed position background image for desktop and mobile for viewing optimisation. I've managed to get it working on desktop, and I got it working on mobile by placing a mobile-friendly background image behind the original background image, then coding for the foreground image to be transparent when viewed on mobile. It works fine in the mobile preview in the site builder, and it also works fine viewed on android phones. It doesn't, however, appear to work on iPhones which just display the desktop optimized image but zoomed in significantly. I've attached a screenshot of the view from an android (the one which fits the screen) and the view from an iPhone - below is the code that I'm using to achieve this (NOTE: I changed the 'max-width' paramater from 767 px to 950 px as I thought this might solve the issue but it hasn't. It also hasn't messed up the android view) [data-section-id="5e4e0b259625b1547470a01f"] .section-background { background-image: url("https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e4ce6ee2218e34cd31829d3/86c35289-8a3c-49d4-9d77-82583188abdf/ke17ZwdGBToddI8pDm48kHsP6h8ITLpzppVA9b8GOgt7gQa3H78H3Y0txjaiv_0fDoOvxcdMmMKkDsyUqMSsMWxHk725yiiHCCLfrh8O1z5QPOohDIaIeljMHgDF5CVlOqpeNLcJ80NK65_fV7S1UQnys2-58Jn-eukW1UFae4kMRF6JsQQSjrbz6STkd2Ul9Aa7pjcgczeZz4RiAJynZQ/standing+seamless.jpg"); background-size: cover; background-attachment: fixed; } @media only screen and (max-width:950px) { [data-section-id="5e4e0b259625b1547470a01f"] .section-background img { visibility: hidden; } [data-section-id="5e4e0b259625b1547470a01f"] .section-background { background-image: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e4ce6ee2218e34cd31829d3/t/60ca068e80d4337c06eb2e36/1623852694300/standing+seamless+3to5+vertical+smaller.jpg); background-size: cover; background-position: center center; background-repeat: no-repeat; } } Thank you!!
