  1. Hey everyone! We are building a site in 7.1 and are not sure how to add anchor links like we are used to in 7.0, does anyone have a solution to this? We want to link a bit of text up at the top of our homepage to a section towards the bottom of our homepage. Thanks!
  2. I installed an anchor link on my homepage in Squarespace 7.1 and when i click the link it jumps to the section instead of scrolling down to it. I'm using a CODE block with a DIV ID in the section I want to scroll to. see code below: <div id="pp"></div> and for the text link I put: /homepage/#pp It doesn't scroll, it just loads the section that has the Code Block with ID. Any help is appreciated. Thx
  3. Hello,I've pasted a long essay (with footnotes) on a single page in the Miller template. I’m anchor-linking the 25 footnote numbers to the corresponding footnotes at the bottom of the page. So far so good, BUT I'd like for readers to be able to click the number of the bottom-page footnote to return them to the original footnoted text. Is it possible to create a two-way anchor link (as with the red hyperlinked Kindle footnotes in the attached image)? Thank you!
  4. Site URL: https://opticair.co.uk/ Using the Sonora template, I have my home page set up as several sections, with anchor links within a fixed position primary navigation to enable the user to quickly navigate around the page, with a tidy scrolling visual effect. This would work (and has worked) fine if this were the only page on my site, using the link format '#section-name' to take the user to 'domain.co.uk#section-name'. There are additional pages in my site, which the user can access through links within the body of the home page and on which the primary navigation is obviously still displayed. However, the primary navigation links in the format '#section-name' do not work from this page as they attempt to take the user to 'domain.co.uk/subpage#section-name' and the sections do not exist within the sub page. I addressed this by changing the primary navigation link format to '/home#section-name', which solves the problem when navigating from the sub page. However, now when using the links whilst already on the home page, the link takes the user to the correct section, but the scrolling effect does not always show. On the first click of a primary navigation link (whichever link) after loading the site, the page reloads, rather than scrolling, with the appended '/home' (from 'domain.co.uk' to 'domain.co.uk/home#section-name'), landing the user at the correct section. Upon clicking any further links, the scrolling effect shows correctly as the '/home' page is already loaded in the address bar. What I would like to achieve is that when using the primary navigation when already viewing the home page, the content always scrolls, whether it is the first click of a link or not. When clicking the link from any other page, it already correctly loads the home page at the required section; no scrolling is required here as the user is actually navigating to another page. Two possible solutions I can think of are either to force the site home page to always show its full 'domain.co.uk/home' url upon loading, rather than just 'domain.co.uk', or to make the primary navigation links dynamic so that on the home page they take the format '#section-name' but on all other pages they take the format '/home#section-name'. I do not know how to implement either of these ideas. I have also considered having the sub page content open in something like a lightbox, rather than a separate page, to avoid navigating away from the home page at all, but I expect the site to grow and this will not be suitable for all future content, so I would rather address this by other means. Can anyone help with implementing either of my suggested solutions, or does anyone have any other solutions? I have tried to be thorough but this seems like a lot of explanation for a simple issue! Hopefully there is a simple solution. Thanks in advance.
  5. Site URL: https://www.taffguard.com/sizing-and-configurations/ On the linked page, I have four anchor links, which can be accessed with the buttons on the right side of the page. I cannot convince the fourth, "Pocket Filter Configuration" to work. I've tried copying the working links' code and just replacing the ID, I've tried entering the code manually, and I've tried variations on the code, and I get no results.
  6. Site URL: https://pacific-demo.squarespace.com/ I'm having difficulty working with jump links. What I want to achieve is a navigation like the Pacific family templates. They allow for the use of jump links embedded in the navigation bar. I'm struggling to find a way to implement this functionality with a more customised fixed header layout. Specifically, I want to have a left aligned logo, and right aligned navigation/page links. I feel like this shouldn't be too difficult, but I can't find a work around. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Thanks
  7. Hi there, I've just switched templates on my website and now my code blocks won't run properly. The browser link is correct but it's like it won't load. If I mark and enter manually the popups works like it always did. I've already switched off Ajax Loading so instead of not just working it won't throw you back to a preview site for whatever reason =/ Anyone got any tips? I've tried altering my code but it's not permanent solves that are useful.. I know Squarespace is the culprit but what am I doing wrong after I activated this new template?
  8. Site URL: http://www.mitchbakker.com I am running into an issue (Brine Template) where the Home Page (/home) Primary Nav Menu utilizes Anchor Links (#example), which properly auto scrolls to a place on the Home Page with content relating to #example, but then clicking through to a new "Example" page (/example), ends up retaining the same Primary Nav Menu...which then is broken (because #example only works on the Home Page (/home)). Essentially, I'm wondering how best to implement Relative Links in Squarespace? How are you folks utilizing an anchor link in a nav menu, and then redirecting back to the home page after that? If you visit the site soon after this posting, you'll find that the closest solution I can come up with is to include: /home#blog in the Nav Menu, so that it at least redirects back home. But even then, it's not going to that section on the Home Page for some reason X) Thoughts? Thanks, folks!
  9. I want certain links to jump to certain sections on a page. For example, I have a section called "evaluation". I added a code block containing only <p id="evaluation"></p> and made it really small and put it inside the evaluation section of the page. I have a link to understandingimpact.com/services/#evaluation. The link goes to the evaluation section of the services page, but it jumps to close to the bottom of the evaluation section, not the top. My code block is tiny and right at the top so I don't know why this is happening. I have three sections on this page, each with a code block establishing an id, and all of the links jump to the bottom of the section I want them to go to, instead of the top where the code block is.
  10. Hello, I created anchor links on my website that work fine on desktop and tablet, but when you switch to mobile the anchor links become a hamburger menu and when you enter that menu none of the anchor links work. Has anyone else experienced this?
  11. I built a single scroll site using Brine with anchor links tied to my main nav links for the continuous scroll effect. To change the parallax images on the team section for mobile, I created duplicate mobile only pages that are hidden from the desktop view with custom CSS. The mobile team page has the same TEAM anchor link, but the mobile nav won't read it (maybe because the other one is hidden?). Is there a way I can hide the TEAM link in mobile and create a separate nav link (maybe titled Or Team) tied to a new anchor point in the mobile only page? Or another workaround for this? Hope that makes sense! For reference: https://www.publichousepictures.com/
