  1. Site URL: http://www.scottmurry.com Hi friends, I'm exploring the idea of setting up a product on my page—but would like to make it a "Name Your Own Price" option. Patrons could in turn choose to pay $1 to $1,000 for a downloadable item. I see variable pricing options, but not something in which people can enter how much they'd like to pay. Any experience in setting up this format on squarespace? Thank you, Scott
  2. Site URL: https://www.beatdrop.ca/beat-drop-single-course Hi, How would I be able to create our service product form so that when someone chooses a certain class, that the corresponding date(s) will appear under our "Start Date" section? All of our class dates show up in our Start Date dropdown and it gets quite confusing. I've attached screenshots. i.e. If I choose DJ101 and I only want to see the dates we've set up for this class and not all dates for every class we have on the form.
  3. I have a product (a modular bed frame) that has a lot of options (size, wood, height, leg style, finish, etc.) which makes for a product that has hundreds of potential variants. It seems that Squarespace is quite limited in the way it handles inputing product variants/options. As in each and every possibility must be input manually and separately. Is there a plugin that helps with that? Or some technique that I am overlooking? Other platforms have much more highly developed variant engines. Is this functionality something that could be added to a squarespace back end by a developer?
  4. Site URL: https://www.churchandstate.co/products/ My client has products that are made in very limited quantity, so some items only have a single size. The problem is, they want to show the variant drop down even when they only have a single size/color available. How can this be implemented?
  5. Site URL: https://www.embraceyourspace.co.uk/ Hi there, My client has asked if I can adjust the height of the parallax banners at the top of each page of their website for mobile, as it currently fills about 80% of the mobile screen. I've tried a few simple bits of CSS code but have had no luck in targeting the height of the banner. (Image attached showing what I'm trying to achieve) I'm almost certain there's a simple solution but can't find it. Any help would be appreciated!
  6. Site URL: http://www.shapelyevents.com/shop Hello, please help! again. I am to switch my site from squarespace 7.0 to 7.1. In that I realize that I have to start from scratch. I'm starting with my store and i'm trying to get my inventory from one site to another using the csv sheet as recommended. I exported it from my current live squarespace store. I HAVE NOT EDITED IT. LEFT IT AS IS! When i try to import it on the new platform, 7.1, i'm getting an error message and nothing is changing. I would hat to have to manually add all these items. I dont understand why there's an error if I havent changed anything. Things to note: - I am still in my trial period. I haven't made the site live as yet being that I wanted to build it then launch it when I can swap it out with the current one. Is this a factor? because I'm also getting a pop up telling me that certain features are only available in a commerce plan but I would think I could be able to build out my store using the imported csv before I launch it. I've attached photos of my process and what I'm getting. Someone...anyone...please help.
  7. Hi! I just started exploring moving from WP/woocommerce to Squarespace. Feels promising so far 🙂 But I have a question! We have a couple of product that has multiple color variants. Adding them was easy, but I noticed that all variant Images also show up as thumbnails at the item page. Is there a way to hide variant Images from the item gällery? Example below all the Images except the last one is variants and I would like them hidden. (they should only appear as full size when you choose the color combo from the drop down.) Is this possible to do? Br Johan
  8. Hello, very simple. I need to sell a box at 30 USD containing 4 micro plants. I need the give customers the possibility to choose the variety and # of that variety of the selected plants they want in the box. So imagine, Customer A wants 2 onions and 2 carrots & Customer B wants 1 onion, 1 carrot, 2 zucchini. How can I set up this? Beware, no more than 4 plants can be added by the customer, considering he is paying the total price for 4 plants. Thanks for helping! Gianluca
  9. I have a number of variants set up on in my products pages and rather than showing "unavailable" for variants that don't exist I would like to be able to use CSS code injection to change the text that reads "Unavailable" as product price when someone selects a combination that currently isn't offered. I'll likely change it to "Custom - Please Inquire" or something similar. We have standard products but will do custom products when asked. I found the div but don't know quite how to change it based on the used input: <div class="product-price">Unavailable</div> link to product: https://www.lockandmortice.com/residentialcollection/mara-table Thanks!
  10. Hey Guys, I have a juice company, and we are trying to create an advanced checkout option. Right now all of our packages will be a 3-day juice cleanse which includes 6 different bottles. You can either pick from our premade options (with our recipes), or there will be a customized option, where you can select between 30 different ingredients and make your own flavor. Is there anyway to make a drop down for each of the 6 bottles, but only have a custom checkbox section pop up if they select customized product in the dropdown menu? We only need the checkbox to appear when they want to do a custom, since all of our other flavors are already premade recipes. Or maybe someone has a better idea on how to achieve this? PLEASE if anyone can help that would be amazing.
  11. My site- motocrane.com is generally comprised of dark banners with white Body Text. However, the product variant drop-downs have a white background, so the white body text is not readable. How do I change my product variant text to black without affecting the rest of the site style?
  12. Is there any way I can change or add a code to edit the drag down option when there are multiple color products? Or to make it more visible.
  13. How do I change the categories in the dimensions section. It's set at length, width and height but length doesn't really work for me it needs to be depth?
  14. The default is in lbs (pounds) but I sell very small items that are in grams or fractions of grams. Customers are expecting grams and not .01 lbs when it's 8g
  15. Hi, I'm working on a site for a client that sells three subscription products. For the cheapest product, there is a one-time set up fee. Is there a way to have the set up fee product automatically added to the cart if they select this variant or product (can set it up either way to be separate pages or variants). I don't want the set up fee to be a separate step in the process and it doesn't look like I have the ability to make month 1 subscription fee different than any following months. Appreciate any help that you can offer!
  16. I am using Supply template (I am kinda a newb) and the Product detail is displaying the Variants as if they are also Products (with full size images stacked). I only want to see the Product that I am selecting and have the Variants appear in the selection pull down menu. There is nothing to control this in the Site Styles. The details about the template merely mention that Product images are in fact stacked. Is there a way with code injection to hide the variant images from the Product Detail? Thanks in advance.
  17. How am I able to setup my Squarespace store to my Facebook catalogue that will include all my variant sizes, materials and prices for each product? So far I have gone through with setting up the data feeds with my store but it's only displaying a single price per product without the variants.
  18. This is the first time I have set up a shop for a client. They want to create 3 month subscriptions to a farm box with the option of weekly or fortnightly delivery. They have given me 550 possible product variations that people can select from. Eg. they want people to be able to 'customise' their farm box that can contain everything from eggs (choice of 1-10 dozen), honey (2 different sizes), walnuts, relishes, sauces etc. I had started setting it up but quickly discovered the 100 variant limit. How on earth do I set this up??!!!
  19. I have two listings where one variant is essentially to add personalisation to the product, the quantity is the same as that of the main product, but then it increases the overall quantity (doubling it)....15 Aprons15 Personalisation Additions +£5 I don’t want the overall quantity as 30...I want it at 15. How can i sort this out?
  20. Hello - I am looking to migrate my online store over the squarespace where I have many other sites already. The problem is the variant limit of 100. Let me give an example of one of our products. 30 different color options and each color you can choose your size from a 1 to a 6. So technically that is 180 options. But if ever color has the same 6 options, isn't there a way to do this without making 180 variants (which I know isn't even possible with the 100 variant maximum)?? Can anyone help? I'd really like to make squarespace work for our store. Thanks!Brian
  21. Hi, I have complex product variants set up (small, medium and large) and then quantities (bundle of 100, bundle of 200 and so on) and I want to hide certain options from the quantities list and only display those relevant to the consumer. unfortunately squarespace doesn't allow this as standard. Here is my code (in a code block under "additional info" in the inventory product). This works fine in Chrome but not in Safari or iOS. In Safari the dropdown menus don't update to show the customer's choice (eg small, bundle of 100). Does anyone know what the issue in Safari is? <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $("select[data-variant-option-name='size']").change(function () { console.log($(this).val()); if ($(this).val() == 'small') { $("select[data-variant-option-name='pack of']") .find("option") .remove() .end() .val("Select pack of"); var selectSize = {"Select pack of":"Select pack of","bundle of 100":"bundle of 100","bundle of 200":"bundle of 200", "box of 1000":"box of 1000"} $.each(selectSize, function(key, value) { $("select[data-variant-option-name='pack of']") .append($("<option></option>") .prop("value",key) .text(value)); }); }; console.log($(this).val()); if ($(this).val() == 'medium') { $("select[data-variant-option-name='pack of']") .find("option") .remove() .end() .val("Select pack of"); var selectSize = {"Select pack of":"Select pack of","bundle of 50":"bundle of 50","bundle of 100":"bundle of 100", "box of 500":"box of 500"} $.each(selectSize, function(key, value) { $("select[data-variant-option-name='pack of']") .append($("<option></option>") .prop("value",key) .text(value)); }); }; console.log($(this).val()); if ($(this).val() == 'large') { $("select[data-variant-option-name='pack of']") .find("option") .remove() .end() .val("Select pack of"); var selectSize = {"Select pack of":"Select pack of","bundle of 50":"bundle of 50","box of 200":"box of 200"} $.each(selectSize, function(key, value) { $("select[data-variant-option-name='pack of']") .append($("<option></option>") .prop("value",key) .text(value)); }); }; }); }); </script>
  22. I'm opening a store where I sell variations on the same product. Basically there's the basic product, but for an extra fee it can be painted, then for another fee it can have finishing work done, etc. The extra options stack like this: Unpainted base version - $20 Painted version - $30 Painted version w/ finishing - $40 Right now I have them listed as different variats on each product page, but that makes inventory tracking difficult since all the different options start with that unpainted base version. Is there any way to set a single master stock quantity no matter which variation someone selects?
  23. Hello Since SquareSpace still does not allow us to set a quantity limit a customer can purchase (it's ridiculous), is there a way to do the following? I am selling tickets. I need to limit the number of tickets one person can purchase to 10 (for example). To get around this, I am having product variants from 1 - 10 tickets, with the price of each variant increasing to reflect the cost. ie: Product 1 - £5 - 1 Ticket Product 1 - £10 - 2 Tickets Product 1 - £15 - 3 Tickets I have a maximum of 500 tickets to sell. Is it possible to put a stock level limit to cover all variants of a product? I cant rely on setting a stock limit on each variant, as I have no idea how many tickets each person will purchase, so the individual variant stock limits wont really work. Once 500 tickets have sold I need them to be unavailable to purchase. Hope someone can help! Thanks!
  24. My site: https://www.lagovistafilmlab.com/shop/developandscan I would love to set the default variant of "Select Scanning Size:" to default to "Enhanced JPG [included]. How do I go about doing that?
  25. Hi, The wesbsite is www.allseasonsbbq.com and the template is Indigo. My products have 4 variations (weights) and some sell out faster than others. I have customers who are getting frustrated having to click through every variant in my drop down box, to find 3 sold out and the final option in stock. I'm hoping to find a solution that makes these options in the drop down list either hidden or having a strikethrough effect, so that it is clear they are out of stock and my customer doesn't have to select it to find out that it's out of stock. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks in advance. Mike
