  1. Site URL: https://www.truegreencr.com/buy/p/product-la-macha Similar to question How can I hide the 'Quantity Select' field on a product page? But is it possible to customize this on a variant level as opposed to product level. For the example page I have this would be if I have 2 types, Sample and Product I want to disable quantity when a user clicks the Sample type from the dropdown. Is this possible via CSS?
  2. Site URL: https://salmonsamurai.com I've tried to provide my customers with the ability to customize their orders as much as possible, but it'd be great if they could directly customize their orders on the product page itself. With Squarespace's default variant features, it's impossible as this creates 100s of variant combinations which just crashes the page entirely. Is there a code to provide multiple product variations with its respective pricing attached? E.g. Product X + Variant A + Variant B = $5 Product X + Variant B + Variant C = $7
  3. I'm having trouble reflecting physical stock to variants available to customers. Example: I am trying to list personalised pyjamas. They are available in: red, green, pink, grey Red are only available in 1-2 years Green, pink and grey are available in 1-2 years, 4-5 years, 6-7 years Drop down box 1 is for the colour and drop down box 2 is for the size. Despite the fact that red colour is selected, all of the above sizes come up in drop down box 2, even though they are not in stock. Also, message 'out of stock' does not come up, even though I have it switched on in settings. All that happens is a message that product can't be added to shopping cart - very frustrating and confusing for customers Is there another template where maybe subcategories are available? This would allow me to have a category for pyjamas, then sub category for red, green etc and I can do size variations there? Any help would be appreciated :)
  4. Site URL: https://www.andthenjewelry.com/collections/beni-shoga-n8amh Hey everyone! for my site, I'm trying to make the variant boxes the same width as the text above them. is there a way to do that? an example product page is; https://www.andthenjewelry.com/collections/beni-shoga-n8amh thanks so much for the help!
  5. Site URL: https://patchworkplus.ie/ Hi there, I'm looking to overlay the variant number on the corresponding image to aid with variant selection. I currently add them myself before uploading, which is fine, but I was hoping there was a quicker solution. I see that the variant number shows up in a very discreet way on the mobile version of the site but would like to have it show in a more obvious way across the site. Thank you.
  6. Site URL: https://www.orcasoundproject.com/ Hello, I have set up a shop with three products called 'Ocean Jewellery'. When clicking on each product there are two variants: material and colour. Is there any way that when selecting these the correct image appears on the big image gallery? Atm the image and variants match in the shopping basket but not in the online shop when browsing. Thanks!
  7. Site URL: https://www.daljitsudan.com How can I change the size of the variant button on the product page?
  8. Site URL: https://www.stitchpointstudio.co.uk/workshops/curvy-concord Hi all, Sorry if this has been asked but I can't think of how to even word this to use the search! I run workshops for sewing lessons and have set up this booking on a product page as usually I send the fabric with it too and they are set dates. I want to run one where people have an option to have fabric with it for an extra cost or not. So currently I have set it up with different variants of fabric or not. Places are limited for the lesson to 4, so potentially if I have 4 non fabric and 4 fabric options I could sell 8 places before I realise! I doubt this will happen but I wouldn't want to be in a position where I have to cancel people and refund their money. Is there a way to have 4 stock available and then an add on for the fabric? I thought about inserting another product to the workshop page but I don't think I can do this on an existing product page? Also might make it less likely people will click through and add the fabric. Hope that all makes sense and that someone has a suggestion for me Thanks, Rachel
  9. Hi All! I'm building a shop that sells beer online. I added a Variant called "Size" and it will display options such as: 4 pack 12oz bottles 6 pack 12oz Cans My problem is that for some products, there is only one option and I need that option to display on the page regardless. They seem to only display a variant when there is MORE than one option. You can see this in the attached screenshot. Any idea how to force this display (besides adding the size as "text" in the description. I'm trying to stay away from that so that reporting will be consistent from product to product.) This needs to go live next week so any help asap would be so appreciated - thank you!! Rachel
  10. Hi! Is there any way to remove the "Select" text on the Product Variant Dropdown, so that it only say "Farve" and "Motiv"? Thanks in advances!
  11. I'm trying to use the built-in Search but it doesn't grab info from my products, so is useless for users. Any tips? Is there a plug-in or CSS that can help with this? Thank you!
  12. Site URL: https://asantistore.squarespace.com Hi, I am having some trouble with the variants section of the product item page. I am basically trying to sell a 4 pack of bamboo toothbrushes where the customer can choose from 4 designs in a 4 pack of toothbrushes so they will have a drop down box for each of the 4 styles can choose 3 the same and 1 different or 4 different, or 2 and 2, up to them whatever combo. When I've added in the 16 options, it is still saying 'unavailable' for purchase. Thanks for your help. Sarah
  13. Site URL: https://www.kctracks.com/ Greetings! I have done a fair amount of custom CSS (~400 lines) and code injection on my new website without having to post here but I really would love some help now. After all the time and effort I have put into building my site through Squarespace, and the experience being overall wonderful, I was devastated to find out that you cannot add variants on digital products. That is all I will sell so this is very frustrating. So, I'm looking for a workaround. On any given product details page, can we: 1. Use a Button Block button in the Additional Details tab to mimic the true built-in Add To Cart button, but reference a different product that is hidden from the store? In other words: the main Add To Cart button will add the product the user is viewing to the cart as intended. The second added Button Block button will be below, but its clickthrough link actually activates an Add To Cart script/procedure taken from a different product's page. OR 2. Force a variant dropdown to show up, and use the links in that dropdown to redirect the user to the necessary product details page which will have the proper product Add To Cart button. OR Another more elegant workaround that I have not even thought of? Thank you so much in advance for helping. I hope this is not to complicated of a request. My site is https://www.kctracks.com/ and until (if) I decide to purchase my plan, the password is kctracks. EDIT: So I have figured out one can add Product Blocks to a separate product's Additional Details section. I have the Product Block only showing an Add To Cart button. It's a tad clunky but it's a workaround. If there's an even better way, I'm all ears! -Keegan
  14. Site URL: https://urbanripples.com/ Hello, Any suggestions on how i can create product variants so that the rule "if this, then that" is delivered. For example, If a customer selects the colour from the first variant field, then that only specific sizes are then displayed for them to select the next option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers! Tim
  15. We're setting up a bunch of new products with very complex variants (height, width, and color). Each product will be using the full complement of 100 allowed variants, with images to match. We're having some trouble configuring upload and managing how images display. Ideally, the variant selector will behave as follows: Before a variant is selected, display a "main image" (or group of images) Display the specific variant image after variant is selected [Nice to have, but not necessary] display filtered variant images dynamically when configuring (e.g. when width is selected, only show variants of that width.) On testing, it looks like the .csv importer links images by product, not by variant, and that we'll need to manually upload and link variant images. It also wants to display all variant images as thumbnails. So, I have 2 questions: Is there some way to configure the uploader to assign linked images (under the "Hosted Image URLs" header) to variants? How can we limit which thumbnails are displayed, both before and after variants are selected? Thanks!
  16. Hi, I am trying to remove certain variant options on the product page without removing them in them in the 'Pricing&Variants' section of the backend. The reason for that is, that I am using the variants for a script I am running that helps me filter products according to variants. i.e. variant 1: --> date: May 2021, language: English, location: London variant 2: -> date: June 2021, language: English, location: London variant 3: -> date: Jul 2021, language: English, location: London In that particular example I would only want the user to select the date as the other variant parameters are the same. So far I've only found a way to remove the entire variant section css class: .ProductItem-details .variant-option { display: none; } Is there a way to render the html tag only on the condition of more than one option to select? as a potential solution? Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.
  17. New to Squarespace I want the variant drop downs to be smaller and side by side like the drop downs in the brine template (7.0) the new ones are so big and don’t look good for my online store i appreciate any help thank you so much! i currently use the hester template
  18. Is it possible to hide the photos of variants unless selected in the drop down box? I have a couple thumbnails I'd like to show by default until you select a phone and color. I'd only like the variants to be shown when selected. Because I plan to have 10 plus phone options and like 4 colors for each so I don't really want all those photos to show by default.
  19. Is it possible to customise product variations to use checkbox instead of dropdown menu in desired variant options (not all of them)? (free or paid) I have multiple options in the same category with type of yes I want this / no I do not want this, checkbox would fit perfectly for this kind of thing. thank you in advance, mj
  20. Hello, we are a publisher/bookseller who is rebuilding our site on Squarespace, and would like to use the eCommerce functionality to sell our books. However, our products have both physical and digital variants within the same SKU: a customer can either order a physical copy of the book and have it shipped to them, or a digital download of the eBook. We cannot see an intuitive way to do this within the Squarespace e-commerce platform. Obviously we could replicate each product (making a physical and digital version for each title), but this would be a user experience nightmare on both ends. We had also considered making the eBook download link part of an individualized confirmation email per product, but naturally Squarespace doesn’t allow for that either. I’m curious if anyone has any experience with this problem, or any creative ways they've seen other similar stores approach this within the Squarespace limitations. Thanks for any help you can give.
  21. I am trying to change the 'variant field' back from box to select, but can't locate this is Squarespace 7.1 commerce
  22. Hi Wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to create a base price for an item, and then having additional items to add to that specific item Specifically looking into this as a possible option for creating a website for a pizza shop, aka click cheese pizza product with dropdown add extra toppings option. Not sure if Squarespace has this functionality option?
  23. Is there a way to add a multiplying add-on to a product page? I want to charge $A for the base product, and $B and $C for optional add-ons, but right now I would only be able to do this by adding variants in every combination on the one product, which would just create a very long drop down of hundreds of combinations on the product page. I could also have the add-ons as separate products, but since they are less than the initial base product, I can't have the client purchase only an add-on without the base. Additionally, if there's a code for the add-ons, can the quantity field also be hidden from both the product page and shopping cart? As changing the quantity would significantly overcharge the client.
  24. Site URL: https://www.mikechattem.com I'd like to add artworks to my squarespace store and I'm trying to offer optional variants on unique items. An example would be listing a work on paper but giving the customer an option to have the work mounted on a panel for an additional charge. The problem is when I try to add the mounting variant, squarespace creates two different items changing the stock and availability of the item. With this set up if a customer purchases a unique work on paper and choses to pay extra to have it mounted, my store would still list the unmounted work on paper as in stock in my store. I saw that adding a form to my products could solve the stock problem but then I wouldn't be able to add a variant fee. Is there a way to add custom variants to unique items while keeping it all one product? Much obliged.
  25. Hi, I am helping a friend who with a site who makes custom jewellery, Im having abit of a issue with setting up the stock for this. I currently Have both 'Size' and the 'Colour' set up which is fine in principle however in the example of rings. If I have a 1 size k ring in stock but the stone colour can be changed to 20 variants squarespace would in theory allow 20 rings in different colours to be sold. IE: Size K - ReD, Size K - Blue etc. would would create a stock problem and items would be sold that simply werent able to be fulfilled, as only one size k ring would be in stock. Can anyone help with this?
