  1. Site URL: https://www.tectronint.com My client sells items on his website by case pack, not by piece. Therefore, for say a case of tarps, the price listed is the price per case, not the price for each individual tarp. However, my client doesn't want the case price to be shown by the different summary blocks; he wants the per piece price shown but when I click "Show Excerpt," it shows the entire product description as there is no separate "Excerpt" for me to edit in the product details. I don't think I can get the per piece price to show where the case price shows now, but I was thinking what if I unchecked "Show Price" and checked "Show Excerpt," but in some way was able to modify the code such that the excerpt/description shows, but only the first line of it? Is there any way to modify the text shown by "Show Excerpt" in that way?
  2. How can I adjust the font size of the product price when they are listed in a summary block?
  3. Site URL: https://recorder-jaguar-6lxy.squarespace.com/ I am building a website for an independent letting agent, and have built in a filter to filter the properties available by feature (dog friendly, swimming pool etc). I am using a summary block for the filter. Once you've used the filter, and click on a summary item, ideally the user should be directed out to Guesty Bookings where they can book their stay at the property. Otherwise they'll have to be directed to another page within the site to then click a button to then take them to Guesty Bookings which adds more steps than necessary. Does anyone know how I can direct users to external website when clicking on a summary item?
  4. Site URL: http://officialvillas.com/socialwall Hi There, I'm using a summary block to create a photo grid - but would like no space between images. Currently can't seem to get rid of the padding between rows?? I am using some custom css that i found online to create rollover txt effect. Could that be causing this problem? I'm pretty new to all this, so i'd really appreciate some help. One thing i've also noticed...while my click-thru image links work, there seems to be a problem when hovering directly over the rollover txt. Any solutions would be appreciated too. Thanks @media screen and (min-width:800px){ .summary-item { img { transition: all .5s ease!important; } .summary-content { position: absolute; color: #fff; top: 50%; left: 50%; opacity: 0; transition: all .5s ease; transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -webkit-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -moz-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); } } .summary-item:hover { img { -webkit-filter: brightness(50%); filter: brightness(50%); } .summary-content { opacity: 1; } .summary-thumbnail-container, .summary-excerpt { margin-bottom: 0 !important; } } }
  5. Site URL: https://www.jupiter10.com Hi there, I sell wallpaper and they are are divided into collections. On the main navigation menu, the customer can choose to browse between 4 different collections. I would like to add on the this menu an option to browse “ALL WALLPAPERS” which would display all wallpapers from all collections in the same product page at once.I’ve tried this using Summary Block, but it's not working as it display a max of 30 products and I want to display over 100. Also the images are static. Currently on each individual collection if you hover the mouse over an image it would change, with the summary block it doesn’t.How can I do this? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
  6. Site URL: https://tortoise-dove-xgz3.squarespace.com/ Hello SS community, I am working on a team page and I am using a summary block to display each members profile picture - I have found some code that allows me to have 3 images per row on the mobile view which is great. However, I encountered a slight problem when I gave the images titles + descriptions - This adds a bottom margin to each image and consequently pushes the below images further down the page. Example: https://gyazo.com/820812f30aec47f0c3aa680fef7c9515 <- The image blocks have been pushed further down the page. Here is an example of the margin I am referring to (Orange block): https://gyazo.com/d19155634c7f38790c7552722d177f9c I have managed to code the orange and make the bottom margin 0px, however this is just for that single image and not all the images withing the summary block. So when I thought I had fixed it, I added a title + description to the second image and it caused the same fault, pushed everything down the page. Unfortunately the code doesn't apply to the other image blocks - I was wondering if anyone with a bit more skill than me can help me with targeting all the images within the summary block and not just one. Please message me if you need password access to my site. Thanks for help!
  7. I have setup a stacked gallery to display a process model. I want to remove the hyperlinks behind the summary blocks (see below screen grab). Can this be done? Cheers Matthew
  8. Hello! Is it possible to add categories / filters to my portfolio page - through a summary block or gallery. I would like it to be similar to the examples below where it lists 'All' and the categories... https://metwork.co.uk/work/ https://www.chothompson.com/ https://www.cgd-landscape-design.com/projects/ I can create separate pages for each category and link them but isn't as effective / smooth as the above. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
  9. Is there a way to change the content that shows in a block in a sidebar on a page by page basis? What I am trying to accomplish is this. When a user is looking at a page that contains content that is part 1 of a series of 6 articles on "X", they would see in the summary block a display of the other 5 articles in that series on "X". Then when they switched to a different content series of 4 articles on "Y", they would see a display of the other 3 articles in the series on "Y".
  10. Hello! I'm working on a website design using the Mercer template. I have updated the 'Read More' links of blog summary blocks to buttons. I would love to remove the arrow which follows read more. Here's the website (password: realestate). Please refer to the 'Featured Listings' section (as pictured below). Does anyone know how to do this? Many thanks!
  11. I want my summary block title and metadata to be the same as what it looks like on the blog page (screenshot attached). Currently I can't figure out the correct code to change the 'large text' (which it is set in the summary block) to my imported font, like I have my headings eg, h1 {font-family: 'Avenir Medium';} h2 {font-family: 'Avenir Medium';}. Also, the meta data text I would like to be black instead of grey. If you could help me make it look like the photo I have attached it would be great. Site is modernlifeau.com and the password is 12345
  12. I have successfully uploaded Avenir as the font to be used on my website and have changed h1, h2, h3 and h4 to this font. However, I can't figure out the code to change the font of blog post titles, buttons and blog post titles in the summary blocks. I am using the template Merida. My site URL (for now) is https://goose-alpaca-n3cy.squarespace.com/ Thank you! 🙂
  13. Does anyone know how to make the background color of this summary block on this page extend the width of the device?
  14. Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to add a summary block (to show related blog content) AFTER the social icons on a blog post. I don't want to put it before because I believe the sharing CTA should be directly below the content to share, not way down the page.. My template is Pedro, from the Brine family Thank you,
  15. Hi all, I would like to add some extra content at the bottom of my blog page, like a summary block or a gallery But the Brine template, set on grid, doesn't let me add any type of content. All I see are my blog posts. Is there a way around this? Thanks,
  16. Hi, I was told by Squarespace Support that it is not possible to change the font size for Summary Blocks natively within Squarespace. Changing the text in the place of origin wouldn't work for changing the font size either. I need to make the body / bio font seen in the image block bigger using CSS only for this specific summary block without impacting the global or rest of the sites' style - will someone help me write the necessary CSS lines?
  17. Hi All, I'm trying to increase the number of displayed blog posts to over 30 using the Summary block. Am in developer mode but can't figure out which file to edit to allow it. Help!
  18. Hi all. I'm trying to get my gallery grid block to show two columns on mobile instead of stacking. I've used the CSS below to accomplish it but the grid is not aligning correctly on mobile wit the third item being bumped and white space in its place- screenshot attached (On tablet and desktop view it's also two columns wide but doesn't have the same issue). The page is here: https://ugly.wtf/new-page-1 I'm able to correct the problem using white-space: nowrap; but then my text obviously doesn't wrap as needed. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm very inexperienced with CSS. Thanks in advance, <style> @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) {.sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-item { clear: none !important; width: calc(100%/2)!important; padding: 2px !important; } } </style>
  19. Is it possible to embed a summary block TO an external website? There is lots of advice on accomplishing the opposite, but that's not what we're trying to accomplish. Here's some context: We use our Squarespace website to showcase new incoming merchandise for a thrift store we operate. We do this via Squarespace instead of our official web page because of how easy it makes this process. We have the Squarespace app installed on a tablet in our receiving area which allows staff members of any technology skill level to easily post photos. The process to post on our official web page would be too complicated for this to otherwise be possible. We then have a summary block pulling the uploaded gallery photos to an inventory page so customers can view the incoming items. The problem is we'd like to capture the traffic we already naturally generate to our official web site. Is there a way to embed the summary block FROM our Squarespace site TO our official web page, which is hosted through a different service? Ideally this would create the illusion of a seamless experience rather than risk confusing our customers with two different domains. I would also add if there isn't a way to do this natively through Squarespace is anyone aware of a third party tool that would accomplish this? Any help is much appreciated!
  20. —Brine template I would like to know if it is possible to disable the Lightbox in a summary box (from a gallery) and, if possible, how to do it. I would like that for images that have no link indicated, there was no cursor mousehover nor Lightbox, while for images that have the link, there was the mouseover and the link working. Thanks for the help
  21. How can I place the arrows on the summary carousel on the left and right sides of the block, and center the featured text? You can view what I have now under "what our clients are saying" here: https://capro-industries.squarespace.com/why-capro
  22. Hello, I'm using a Summary Block to build my website's team page. The problem is that the titles and images are clickable and I would like to remove this functionality. Is there a way I can make it display-only and remove the clickthrough links? Here is my site's Team Page for reference:http://www.rainfactory.com/team
  23. I love the new Summary Block. And I would like to use it to let a visitor browse through excerpts of my blogposts before they dive into the posts themselves - especially the carousel option is extremely suitable for that. Bummer: when you try to implement this feature the number of blogposts that you can show is limited to 30. Would anyone now if the 30-items-limit is overridable with some piece of code that could be injected somewhere? I know that if you use blog excerpts in the regular way, the number of posts to be displayed is unlimited. But the way in which you can display them is not. And with the new Summary Block you have so many nice options for customisation... I also understand that I could implement different Summary Blocks, one after the other, each set up to cover a different time period of a blog. But it would be so much better to a have one nice, clean carousel (for instance) to cover all the posts. And since the Summary Block is especially set up to deal with blogs (among others), one would expect to have an 'unlimited option' in the first place, no :-)...? Anyway: I don't know anything about code except how to copy and paste it, so if somebody would have a solution: a step by step guide for implementing it would be extremely welcome :-) :-)... Thanks a bunch in advance!
  24. I'd like to change the font size of the author name and categories in my summary blocks. I've already used the following CSS to change the font size of excerpt text: .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-excerpt p { font-size:16px !important} But I need something more for the metadata. Thanks!
