  1. Summary Blocks offer out-of-the-box options for sizes S thru XL. How can I gain finer control via CSS to alter the title, category, and excerpt fonts, sizes, and colors? It seems less straightforward than other elements / areas, I'm having trouble finding the right selectors. Thanks! Nick
  2. I've tried every solution I could find here on the Circle forum, but none are working! page: https://theveil.squarespace.com/nfk (scroll down to "Upcoming Events" section) template: Royce I've got a Summary Block displaying Events, filtered by Category. When nothing matches the filter criteria, there is just a big black space on the page. I'd prefer it to automatically display text when the summary block is empty, like "There are no upcoming events at this location." Note: The Upcoming Events section on the page is actually a page (/nfk-events) nestled within an Index Collection (/nfk), in case it matters. Anyone have ideas / updates to the old solutions for this? (https://forum.squarespace.com/search/?&q=empty summary block&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy)
  3. I'm trying to get my recipes to link from a blog summary block and since changing them to summary blocks, they no longer link. Essentially, would like each summary block image for a blog a clickable link. They do when I'm in edit mode but for a site visitor, it won't odd and I don't know why. www.anthologyofcrumbs.com Any of the main categories link to the blog post page but then the summaries don't link to the blog post itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Ange
  4. I am trying to create a summary block where all the sections are the same height. I've gotten that to work, but on large screens, there's a ton of space at the bottom. Is there a better way to do this? I also set the code not to apply on mobile, but if you shrink a browser window down, it will wrap, which I'd prefer not to happen. Website is: https://pedl.tech/home-1 Password: PEDL @media only screen and (min-width:650px){ .summary-item{height:16vh;}}
  5. I'm building an online shop for my paintings on my website. I chose to display them in a summary block because I think it showcases them better in their aspect ratio. However, the summary block currently only shows the first 3 paintings in my inventory, and I'd like it to display around 15. Can you help me adjust the settings to show more products? If you need to have a look at my web site it is in dev. You will need to use the password: "Karl" to view it. https://www.karllorenz.net/ Thanks!
  6. Hi - trying to figure out if there's a way to control the sort order of a summary block. It seems to default to alphabetaical, but that's not ideal for some product summaries (we have camps that should display in order of age / difficulty). Anyone have ideas?
  7. I need help directing the "read more" links to the source URL for each post in the summary block. The images and titles are correctly linked to the source URL, but "read more" is bringing me to the internal blog page. How can I make it direct to the source URL? Page: https://cdlri.squarespace.com/mission pw: CDLRI
  8. Site URL: https://www.yungrealestate.com/availabilities/26-east-sunset-dr How can I hide the current blog post in a summary block site-wide so that I don't have to code it for each blog post or make specific tags for each property? If I have a summary block on a property listing, I would prefer not to have it display the current property on it.
  9. Hey, I've made a summary block for my blog posts and I would like a hold and drag feature to be added, similar to how the testimonials are. URL: https://twofold-studios.com/ Does anyone know any css that help achieve this?
  10. I'm having trouble getting the borders to show up correctly on this carousel summary block. The first image shows the aspect ratio as Auto and the second image shows it as 2:3 (standard vertical). The Auto aspect ratio works the best at showing most of the borders but even then the third image's right border is not showing up properly. This is the code I used in the Home page injection section: .sqs-block-summary-v2 .img-wrapper img { border-radius: 16px; border: 2px solid #303030; } ---- Website: https://serenidad-therapy.squarespace.com Password: demo
  11. Hi all, I've tried other solutions that were posted on this elsewhere, but they don't seem to work for me. I have a summary block on the homepage of my site that doesn't look great while viewing on a tablet - the text sits to the right of the image and becomes very narrow, extending the size of the entire block. I'd much rather this display as it does in mobile, where the image sits comfortably on top of the text. Is there a way to trigger this on tablet? A screenshot of what it looks like on my iPad 10 is attached. Thanks!
  12. Hi there, I am looking for a custom code to change all the titles in a single portfolio to this orange: #FF590C Also, Is it possible for the Summary Block on the Homepage to choose a portoflio page rather than a blog page as a feature option? Thank you so much!
  13. I'm trying to use code to make the "Read More" link on a summary block point to the Source URL in the blog post settings, instead of it pointing to the blog post URL on SquareSpace which is the default setting). I've seen other posts about this with code injection given for the footer, but none of those are working for me so far. Site url: https://turquoise-caterpillar-n778.squarespace.com/news PW: WITCHES
  14. Hello! I am trying to see what I did wrong in my code. I was working on my site and for some reason, the arrows disappeared and the summary block displays all funny and the images are not showing up properly. Would someone be willing to help me find out what I did wrong? My actual website: enamourdesign.com password: enamoured SAMPLE WEBSITE on how it should look like: you can see it here: contrabass-helicon-3ptp.squarespace.com (password: interstellar) *also does anyone know maybe how to make sure the text doesn't overlap the images while they are displayed behind it? It looks really weird on mobile! Thanks!!
  15. My website has leadership pages that display a person's bio and any blog articles they have authored. As far as I know, there is no way to filter a summary block by blog author, so I'm currently using tags to filter this summary block. The problem with using tags is that it prevents me from using tags for more typical things such as blog topics. I don't want to have author names interspersed with blog topics as that would make for a poor viewing experience. My ideal scenario is this: categories are used for what kind of content it is (article, customer story, team highlight, etc.), tags are used for topics (business intelligence, digital learning, marketing), and the author profiles are used to populate the blogs someone has authored. Is something like this possible using 7.1?
  16. Hello, I'm wondering if there's a way to get a summary block, carousel view, to display only one item at a time on mobile. I've tried a couple of code options I have found on the forum here, but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated! Here's an example on the home page: https://www.clintoncac.com/ Thanks, Jenn
  17. Hi, I need to add custom CSS to adjust the mobile view of my summary list block. For context, this is a website for a podcast and I am adding every individual episode as a blog post. This is what a summary item looks like in browser, with the small play button being the featured image: And this is how it currently looks in mobile - is there a way to make it so that the play button gets smaller, and sits in the top right hand corner of the summary item?
  18. I need the summary content to be full width in mobile. Is there some CSS that will help with this?
  19. Site URL: http://www.replenishyoustudio.com I have a summary block on my home page that shows up just fine on desktop view, but enlarges to one-per-screen on my mobile view. I'd like the images to be smaller and 2-per-scroll instead of one big square going by, so that my mobile view looks similar to my desktop view. This is what I'd like: Instead of this:
  20. Hi, I would like to keep the event start date but hide the event end date in a summary block. See 2nd block on the home page. Thanks! Site: aberdeen.world
  21. Hi, I was wondering if you can help me. I have a summary block of blog articles and I really like how they look on web. But on mobile the pictures are really small and I would much prefer them to be in the "grid" just pictures above the data. Is there a way to apply change of design for mobile device for specific summary block? Thank you (website https://aboutphotography.blog/)
  22. Hi, I'm working on a client site to make the switch from 7.0 (Rally template) to 7.1 (Stanton template). They love the blog layout but don't particularly care for how the blog linking is done (doesn't show "Posted in [category]). I believe I can get around this issue using the summary block so that they can have their home page and still have the site focus on the content, however I realized there are no tweaks for the summary block as I don't use it much. Does anyone know of any code I could use. I've included a screenshot of what we're trying to achieve but with a summary block as opposed to using the actual blog page since when you click a folder, it no longer automatically goes to the first linked in the folder. Thanks for any help!
  23. Hey all! Can playable videos be used as thumbnails in your summary block? We have several testimonial videos that we would like the user to be able to sort through. I've created a blog, used tags, and then the summary block to make this happen. I hoped to replace the summary block's thumbnail with a playable video. Here's my page: https://www.navigatethejourney.com/video-test pw: summary Here's what we're trying to replicate (screenshot) & link.
  24. Hi there! I've used some coding to achieve a list layout, but am having trouble positioning the thumbnail where I need it to be without it changing position vertically when the screen changes size. https://violin-halibut-2csa.squarespace.com/list Anyone able to help with a code to make it stay in place, below the growing line when hovered? Thank you This is the code I'm playing around with no success: //**PROJECT SUMMARY LIST IMAGE APPEAR ON HOVER**/ #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1697462333736_27194 .summary-item:hover img { opacity: 1!important; transition: opacity 0.4s ease-in-out,!important; visibility: visible!important; pointer-events: none!important; } #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1697462333736_27194 .summary-item img { opacity: 0!important; visibility: hidden; transition: opacity 0.4s ease-in-out,!important; border: 1px solid #191918; pointer-events: none!important; } #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1697462333736_27194.summary-thumbnail img { visibility: hidden!important; pointer-events: none!important; } #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1697462333736_27194.summary-thumbnail:hover img { visibility: hidden!important; pointer-events: none!important; } /******IMAGE POSITIONING******/ /* Excerpt styles */ #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1697462333736_27194 .summary-excerpt { position: relative; } #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1697462333736_27194 .summary-excerpt p { font-size: 0.8rem !important; } #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1697462333736_27194 .summary-item { display: flex!important; align-items: center; /* This aligns children (like your image and title) vertically in the middle */ } .summary-thumbnail-container { position: absolute; /* Or you can remove this if it's not absolutely positioned within .summary-item */ left: 20px!important; top: 195px; }
  25. Hi, I am new here, I would love to ask someone for help please. I am trying to exclude a first post in summary block on my home page. I am trying this code but nothing is happening. Not really sure why. .blog-basic-grid article:first-child { display:none; } or should I target the ID of the block instead? Like #block-65c0ae38a31e4103295bc1e2 { .blog-basic-grid article:first-child { display:none; } } Thank you!
