My product is delivered once a fortnight from March-November, a total of 20 payments, but the description looks like it would be 40 payments. Is there some clever coding I can use to change this that anyone knows of? It would be so much clearer if it said 'Every two weeks for 9 months' or something (anything!) else. thanks, Vicki
  2. Can’t seem to find this answer anywhere... Are Customers Who Subscribe for Multiple Months Charged Shipping Each Month when their subscription renews? Let’s say they subscribe for 6 or 12 months and pay for 6 or 12 months at once. Shipping is charged once at the time of payment. But I just want to verify. Does shipping get re-charged again each month for the remainder of the 5 or 11 months?

My business is rental based, I rent out games for events, but in addition to giant games, I rent out tabletop games as well. I am expanding my business to allow rentals of board games across the US via shipping and returning. These are my issues, and I can't seem to find a solution that can cover everything. I even tried going to Shopify because they have the apps I need, but their site customization is so limited, it doesn't seem worth it. Here are the features I am looking for, I currently use Booqable for rentals, but honestly, I'm not super impressed considering I've had lots of issues and it's expensive for only handling the rental aspect. Need a booking option connected to a calendar for rentals for events Backend software that captures customer data, creates invoices, handles payments (including security deposits) Once an item is rented, I need it to show as unavailable in my store for the dates selected Subscription options that allow customers to login and change the items in their subscription every month (these are rentals, not purchases, so the customer gets to choose which games they want each month from our library) Delivery and shipping costs calculated via zip code Ability to have one product on a page and have buttons to either do a one time rental, or start a subscription (I want to have the board games available to rent a la carte in addition to having a subscription) I am willing to use more than one integration (one for rentals, one for subscriptions), I just can't seem to find what I need.   4. Hi there, Had a good chat with support this morning but I wanted to post the summary here for further attention. We launched our new site last month which includes services as monthly subscriptions. Turns out that, when a customer cancels, we must manually change their subscription status to pending or some other status in order to generate/export a list of active subscriptions to fill at the next fulfillment date. That we must do that manually is clumsy at best. Should a cancellation email get missed/ not get to us, we still would process that order for the next month's fulfillment date. There is currently no way to view in the orders panel/export ACTIVE subscriptions - unless as I say above, we first have MANUALLY changed the order status of any cancelled order seems to me that would be a very important feature. I cannot imagine a much larger business with hundreds of subscriptions doing this manually.

They are structured as annual plans but to be billed 2 times a year, one at signup and one 6 months later. I do NOT want to encourage / allow the customer to cancel the 2nd payment. Thus, I would like to remove one sentence from the subscription payment page. "You can cancel your subscription at any time on your account." Is there a way to do that?
  6. Hi! I am migrating my website from Squarespace to Shopify. I primarily sell a subscription product. Since I will be uploading my subscription customers to Shopify, I want to cancel their subscriptions in Squarespace (so they are not billed twice). However, when I go to cancel a customer's subscription in Squarespace, the customer is automatically notified. I do not want to notify my customers. Since my service will remain live, just the website will be hosted through Shopify, it will be a really bad user experience if they are notified that their subscription is cancelled. Any thoughts on a workaround for this? One idea that I had is that I assume that if deactivate/cancel my Squarespace site, then the active subscriptions will automatically be cancelled. Will customers be notified in this instance that their subscription is cancelled? Thanks for your help!
  7. Site URL: https://www.200f2.ca Just found this out. Subscriptions on 7.0 are not portable to 7.1. Once your new site on 7.1 is ready to launch, you must (1) buy a new subscription on 7.1, annually, of course, to get the discount, (2) redirect your domains, etc, from your 7.0 site, (3) cancel your subscription on your 7.0 account, (4) delete your old 7.0 site, and then (5) request a refund, since at step (3) you were told no refund would be provided for cancelled subscriptions. I've been a SquareSpace user for 3 years or so and have multiple sites with them. Just went through this process. I laughed when they first told me this process. When Customer Service ghosted me on the open case after I completed step (4) , I didn't find myself laughing as much.

I have a clients bakery site where they sell bread, milk, eggs etc on weekly subscription, however people aren't able to add multiple items to a cart for subscription (like you do when standard shopping) Has anyone done a work around for being able to add multiple subscription products to a cart then subscribing/checking out? ie. adding 1 baguette, 1 seed loaf, 1 liter of milk per week.. ..otherwise as separate subscriptions they pay 3x shipping per week

Site URL: https://www.mylittlemagicshop.com/ Right now, I have two promo codes out there trying to provide free shipping on non-subscription AND subscription orders over $19 and free shipping on the first month of subscription orders. I have to put this second one in because I am doing a Groupon where the customer receives a promo code that reduces their total to $0 and because that is under $19 they would get charged shipping which I do not want. This alleviates that. The issue is it's not working the way I want. In theory, you would think that these codes would allow for anything over $19 non-subscription to be free shipping as well the first month's payment on subscriptions, right? Well, that's not what's happening. This code is making anything on the site (I'm guessing any first order of the customer regardless if it's a subscription, free shipping. Meaning you can put a $2 crystal in your cart and it's free shipping. That's no bueno. So just to recap, now I have the following: Free Shipping on all payments over $19 Free Shipping on the first payment This is causing no shipping to be charged on the site unless it is a repeat customer. I think something is weird with the first payment. It is not limiting to just subscription products. Also, there is no option for shipping promotions only on subscriptions, there is only the option of all payments, first month or exclude subscriptions. Ideally, I would like to have free shipping on all subscription products AND free shipping on non-subscription orders over $25. I can't figure out how to achieve this. Can someone help? Has someone figured out how to give free shipping just on subscription products? Or how to exclude shipping charges from subscription products?
  12. I am setting up an online store for my site. I am a small, subscription-based service. When I add a product and change it to a subscription product the ability to change inventory goes away. I want to limit the number of subscriptions coming in so I do not get overwhelmed. How do I set the number of subscriptions I am able to fulfill?
  13. Hi, I am looking for a new website. I want to sell a membership that is annually but I want my customers to be able to pay this quarterly or monthly. The "contract" is for a year. They can only cancel when their membership is ending (the year) and they don't want to renew. I chatted with SquareSpace helpdesk and they say it's currently impossible. Does anybody know how to solve this?
  14. I know that editing a subscription products terms such as price and shipping options cannot be changed for current subscribers, but what about the product description? Can that be continuously updated and apply to all subscribers, past and current?
  15. I am building a website for a client who wants to use their PayPal Business account for all commerce. Most of their products are monthly subscriptions products; however, with Squarespace, PayPal can’t be used to pay for subscriptions. Is there a work-around to this problem? For example, is there a way to connect Square and PayPal, so when customers sign up for a monthly subscription, the money still goes into my client's PayPal account?

We are ready to move away from PayWhirl and get our Soap-Scriptions running from the SqSpc site. After reviewing both documents about the new SqSpc Subscriptions and the Migrating from PayWhirl...I am still nervous and unsure how to proceed. Here are my initial concerns: - Our current offerings will not sync with new offerings. - Current members should be "grandfathered" or upgraded to the next best plan - and/or as a courtesy, give current subscribers 3 months at "old" rate. Further more, I am at a wall with communicating these type of changes with our customers. Having them sign-up-again manually even though the subscriptions are processed on stripe seems difficult. Any advice, consultation and opinion is welcome. Thanks gang!

I'm wondering if it is possible to change the shipping costs on a subscription product, and for it to be implemented on existing subscribers? Postage in the UK has just gone up, and so I adjusted the shipping costs on my subscription product by £0.10. I currently have 245 subscribers to this product, and only brand new subscribers are having to pay the new adjusted shipping cost (which is £0.70). All existing subscribers are paying £0.60. I asked Squarespace about this via email, and their advice was to have my existing customers cancel their subscription, and then resubscribe ... but I desperately don't want to do this, as i'm positive i'll lose a significant bunch of customers. It seems unfair, to me. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is change possible?
  18. Help! I have trouble with understanding if Squarespace could be the right solution for our site? Have anyone made a site for subscription to audio files including audioplayer? We sell monthly subscriptions on audio files. It just got to be very easy for our costumers to open the site and listen to the audio files for which they have subscribed.

Hey whats going on ya'll I'm running a content site dedicated to fitness and nutrition science I sell a product by monthly suscription - Essentially I release 5 new workouts every month to suscribers for different purposes. While squarespace does let you sell digital products with a secure link, you can't do it with suscriptions What would be the best way for me to go about doing this in a way that keeps my digital product secure? Thank you
  21. Hi! We're using Squarespace Subsciptions for membership payments at a Climbing gym. Is there a quick way to see how many active subscriptions we have at any given time? I can of course make the csv export, but has anyone found an easier way to keep track of total number of subscribers? Would also be cool to have in the analytics app. Cheers -Bison Boulders
