  1. Site URL: https://us.typology.com/about-us#2 Hi Im looking into add a content box over 4 consecutive banner images like the site linked below. Let me know if you have any ideas? Thanks https://us.typology.com/about-us#2
  2. Site URL: https://scaacquisition2020.com pw:1234 This is making me nuts. I need to remove the image overlay that appears when you hover over the portfolio links on my homepage. There is no setting within the design color editor and I've set all "image overlays" to transparent just to be safe but still can't figure out what the CSS should be to remove this annoying default setting. EDIT: Here is the correct CSS for anyone interested .portfolio-hover-bg-overlay { display: none }
  3. How can I change the classic cart icon with the bag one in Crosby 7.1? there is a css I can add to do this? Thank you
  4. Site URL: https://www.adaptiveinteriors.com.au/ Looking for advise on what best practice would be for a specific service/keyword in a specific location. Would you do a blog post? or publish as a separate page on your site (that could be unlinked if you didn't want visable from menu) For example we are an office fitout and refurbishment company, and to rank higher for office fitout in Canberra, would you get better results giving it it's own page or a blog post? Or would it not matter? Any advice appreciated.
  5. Hi @tuanphan! I have a question for you regarding customizing the shop page functionality. 1. I am working on a shop 2. I would like to customize the standard page so each product grouping has a headline, versus the standard shop layout in 7.1 (where it is one giant feed of products) 3. On the product detail pages, I would like the SHOP ALL in the nav to be underlined. 4. Is there a way to hide the default shopping section shown on the bottom of this page? 5. I used the below code in the header, which hides the section, but then also hides the product detail pages from functioning. <style> section[data-section-id="5f3313ad14f683319469cc74"] { display:none!important } </style> 6. Do you know how to solve for this? Thanks so much for your help! Best, NK
  6. Site URL: https://darrochea.com Hi there, I have a carousel on my page displaying my merchandise/products and they currently use arrows to navigate. The arrows work fine on the desktop view but on mobile/tablet displays the arrows are clunky. Is there a plugin or and code to make the carousel swipeable on a mobile device?
  7. Site URL: http://befluent.ca/home-new Hi everyone! I'm trying to make the banner image have a looping typing animation under the word "fluent in" so that it will type out "digital marketing", and then backspace on itself, then type "web design", and so on. This is the tutorial that I found but I dont know how to make it loop continuously or add more lines to it: https://insidethesquare.co/squarespace-tutorials/typing-text website url is: http://befluent.ca/home-new Help appreciated, thank you!
  8. Site URL: https://www.matthodgesdesign.com/ Is it possible to add simple image rollover effects to a grid gallery in 7.1? All I want for the image to change to a second image on mouse/cursor hover, and then change back on hover off (preferably with a smooth transition). Clearly this isn't possible with the standard controls, but wondering if possible using CSS and custom files? I've been searching online (and on here) and not found the answer, which is surprising in that I would have thought this would be a sought after feature. On my site I have added a simple brightness hovereffect to the images which gives it some interactivity. But preferably I would find away to change to a second image on mouse hover.
  9. Site URL: https://megalodon-hexagon-y2we.squarespace.com/ Does anyone know if there is code to alter a Gallery Section so there can be a Text Block next to it? side by side? In 7.1 you have the ability to add a Gallery Section, which looks great but then your text block has to be above or below it in a DIFFERENT Section. All I want to do is add a Gallery to a page without it being the ONLY block in the section. Why did they strip away the Gallery Block function? It makes no sense. Please help!
  10. Site URL: https://bugle-gopher-x7gs.squarespace.com/ Hello, I had my sections of the home page lined up like I wanted them and then finally figured out how to adjust the banner image height to a good size by reducing it height wise. When I did this there created a gap between each section especially from the banner image to the first section which was originally closer together and the entire page looked more coherent before. Is there a way to adjust the sections closer together? Every tutorial I've found seems outdated as it says to use the Up/Down arrows or by using the Format feature and adjusting to Small which no longer exist it seems. Thank you.
  11. Site URL: https://caviarbarlv.squarespace.com/ PW: caviarbar Hi, Using squarespace 7.1 I would like to rearrange the footer in the mobile version so the logo is at the very bottom. Right now, the logo is between the two text sections. However, I would like to keep it the same in the desktop version. Is this possible? Desktop version: Mobile version: (Would like the logo to come behind Make a Reservation) Thank you in advance!
  12. Hi I have a blog summary block on my homepage with 3 images on a row. When viewed on a mobile, I want the images to appear above the text, so they take up the full width of the screen. Now, they are not stacked, they appear all in a row. Can someone help me with some custom CSS? I have 7.1 version.
  13. Site URL: http://workwithpeapod2021.squarespace.com Hey Forum! I'm messing around with a custom code to float an image between sections in Squarespace 7.1. This isn't usually an issue BUT this time I'm also playing with custom section clips (clippy.com) which DOES add a layer of complexity to things. I'm having a little trouble getting the main image (lady in the circle) overlaying with the first section background without being cut off. I've tried messing with the "z-index" but that doesn't seem to be the issue. I've tried "overflow: visible;" but that isn't it either... Any ideas? Password is: 1234
  14. Hi everyone. I am using 7.1 version and would like to know how I can decrease the height of my gallery. The aim is to shorten the gap between the white space and my "View Our Projects" button. Please refer to the image I have attached here for your reference. Unfortunately, I have zero knowledge in coding so your detailed answer and patience will be greatly appreciated~! Thank you so much.
  15. Hi all. I'm a CSS newbie, but am starting to get the hang of it. Have made a few customizations that have worked thus far to both the standard and mobile site. I don't know if any of those customizations are overriding what I'm trying to do with the mobile menu font size, which is too big and I just want to bring it down a notch. Here is the code that I found that folks were saying worked (not working for me). I've tried adding the '!important;' tag after font-size as well and had no luck with that. And here is all the code I have already on my site, in case it's relevant. All of this code works properly: I'm still building the site so it's not public yet. Again, I just want to change the SIZE of the mobile menu font so it's slightly smaller. Thank you!
  16. Site URL: https://spinach-keyboard-w7ws.squarespace.com/fasadevedlikehold-8 Hello! I've created a page with four content blocks beside each other. On desktop, everything looks good. But if I scale the page down (tablet view etc), everything gets out of grid. If I scale even more down (mobile view), the four blocks appears under each other (quite nice). I have two questions: 1: is there a way to get the grid look good in tablet view? I know I can create a new section under the text, and insert the images there (but I want the images to appear under each text block on mobile view, like it is now). 2: Is there a way to get the grid to transfer into a two column layout on tablet view? - it would be great with this setup: - four columns on desktop (accomplished) - two columns on tablet - one column on mobile (accomplished) Thanks in advance! https://spinach-keyboard-w7ws.squarespace.com/fasadevedlikehold-8 pw: hoyden2021
  17. Site URL: https://www.daronprice.com.au/ Ive been having a small issue with how certain product images look on my home page. I have 4 product images that sit beside each other on desktop view but on mobile they stack on top of each other. I want the 4 Images in mobile view to display in 2 rows and 2 columns. I was given a code which would help me do this but it doesn't seem to work. The code is: @media only screen and (max-width: 768px) { #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1611892954947_10780 + .row .sqs-col-3 { width: 50% !important; float: left !important; } } :not(.sqs-edit-mode) #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1611892954947_10780 { display: none; } The code above displays weirdly in mobile view (Screenshots below for reference) does anyone have any code I can use to fix this issue? Any help would be much appreciated!
  18. Hello dear squarespace fellows ! I would like to create a folder or a page allowing me to propose a thematic exchange forum to my visitors (possibly with a prior registration request). Have you found a way to do that? Is it possible to plug such a solution from a third party site (ie. zapier or an open source / free solution easy to implement)? I'll tell you right away that I'm not a computer scientist and have no notion of code, but I can understand and apply a lot of things! I thank you in advance for your help (DeepL is my best friend because my English remains limited, poor French that I am!) eric
  19.   20. Site URL: https://meridian-yoga-template.squarespace.com/?password=pearler I'm getting horizontal overflow on my mobile site - I have the code below but it doesn't seem to be working. Am I missing something? Thank you! body { overflow-x:hidden!important; overflow-y:visible!important; }
  21. Site URL: https://meridian-yoga-template.squarespace.com/?password=pearler I can't seem to get this image to center on mobile. I believe it's because I've changed the size of this image to appear smaller with code section[data-section-id="5fa367f55327653df13c699b"] { img { width: 50%!important; height: 50%!important; }} Better yet, is there a way to get this image to appear smaller on mobile without using this code? https://share.getcloudapp.com/8Luk7jwJ Thanks!
  22. Site URL: https://www.stoik-trisula.com/work Hey, is there any chance to play gif image when mouse hovering portfolio items? The only option for now is just background color. Thank you!! example : https://plus-ex.com/experience I'm using Squarespace 7.1 and Mark Novo template
  23. Site URL: https://www.ivanokyereboakye.com/landscape-street-urban-travel-stock-photography-gallery/america-west-coast Is there a way to dynamically set the width and height of images in Grid Masonry on desktop so landscape images fit to the available browser window space i.e. the full landscape or portrait image is visible in the browser area without scrolling up or down? When I launched my website about 3 months ago I couldn’t work out how to do that when using 1 column in Grid Masonry as portrait images in particular were oversized and only showing 2/3rds of the image in the browser area, so need to scroll down to see the rest. I therefore set it up with 2 columns as although not perfect it meant the portrait images were 90% visible on laptops and 100% on desktop monitor screens. At that time the mobile view was fine as would only show 1 image (not the 2 per row as on desktop) and the portrait ones were 100% visible. I have however seen over the last week that Squarespace appear to have changed things now so setting 2 columns on the desktop also shows as 2 columns on the mobile which is terrible. See this page as example https://www.ivanokyereboakye.com/landscape-street-urban-travel-stock-photography-gallery/america-west-coast I have temporarily set all other gallery pages (apart from the one above) to 1 column for now to keep the mobile view as single images per row, however need to find a way to reduce the desktop ones as the portrait images are too large. https://www.ivanokyereboakye.com/landscape-street-urban-travel-stock-photography-gallery/latest-update Ideally I would like to have it with 1 column on both desktop and mobile view, however if it is not possible to reduce the desktop width and height, is there a way to go back to my previous set up of 2 columns on the desktop but custom code the mobile view to only show 1 image per row? Thanks Ivan

  25. Site URL: https://coconut-penguin-g55p.squarespace.com/ Hi all, I'm having hard times customising my Gallery Strip blocks. I used the custom CSS code below, but I'm not quite there yet. Site: https://coconut-penguin-g55p.squarespace.com/ PW: MassTrial Page: Projects (the first element of the main menu) I would like to customise the captions even more, as close as possible to the effect I obtained with the image block at the top of the same page. Any chance someone can help with: - caption justified to the centre (when the text wraps the caption is justified to the left) - caption split in two lines (Project Name / Photographer Name) - Font line above H2 (Project Name), font line below p2 (Photographer Name) Thank you in advance! //* GALLERY STRIP HOVER EFFECT *// figure.gallery-strips-item { position: relative;} .gallery-caption { position: static;} /* title */ .gallery-caption-content { color: white; position: absolute; left: 0; top: 0; right: 0; bottom: 0; display: flex; justify-content: center; align-items: center; z-index: 999; padding: 20%; transition: opacity ease 200ms !important; opacity: 0 !important; pointer-events: none;} .gallery-strips-item:hover .gallery-caption-content { opacity: 1 !important;} /* overlay */ .gallery-strips-item-wrapper a:after { background: #1653B3; content: ""; display: block; position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; right: 0; bottom: 0; opacity: 0; transition: opacity ease 200ms !important;} .gallery-strips-item:hover .gallery-strips-item-wrapper a:after { opacity: 0.5;} //* GALLERY STRIP HOVER EFFECT *//
