  1. I'm trying to create a slideshow banner on my website that rotates through a series of images so that it looks like an animated gif - but I also want to add description text to each image so this rotates through automatically as well. I can't get the desired effect as there is an automated fade in/out on both the images and text. I've seen a post with some custom CSS that removes the transition from the text for web/tablet but not mobile. I haven't found anything that will remove the fade in/out from the image transitions. Ideally I'd like to just place one animated gif
  2. I have the Wells template and I don't want arrows to appear on top of the image, but rather outside of the image. I would use the option that does not have arrows, but it only advances the slideshow forward and not backward. Any suggestions? Also, I would like the titles to appear below the image in the slideshow, not on top of the image when hovering one's cursor over the image. In other words, I would like the title to be under the image all the time.
  3. The slideshow is my Brine Template is not automatic you have to click each image and no arrow buttons to help navigate the images. Does anyone know of a code to add arrows or something that I may be missing to start an automatic slideshow? Thank you!
  4. Hi everyone, I have finally found the template that seems to include all features I want: Basil. After setting up my homepage, I tried to add buttons to a slideshow banner at the top, but they only appear as links. (Usually, when I link certain calls to action to another page, they appear as buttons - now they don't) What am I doing wrong? Or is this template unable to create buttons within a slideshow? All help is greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi there, I'm trying Squarespace 7.1 and I was wondering whether there is a way to showcase text on top of images in a slideshow gallery, like in this website below (without the animation on text) and image attached: https://www.carpentersworkshopgallery.com/ Thank you
  6. Hello, I would like to make my mobile slideshow a different proportion than desktop version. In other words, I want the desktop version to remain as landscape images, while mobile be portrait. (The idea is that portrait images in mobile are more useful.) Website: decagon-pear-tmt5.squarespace.com Thank you
  7. Hi, I'm trying to get the text to remain static on a banner slideshow (bedford template). I have figured it out for the desktop browsing, but not mobile view. Can anyone help me out? Link to my site: https://www.candelastudio.co.uk/ Thank you
  8. Hi, I am using Squarespace 7.1. At the top of my home page I want to have three full bleed banner style pics transitioning as a fading slideshow. I am looking to achieve the following: - I would like the text headings that I will have overlayed on top of the images to remain static during the image transitions - I think these need to be a separate text blocks so they're not affected by the image fading - I would like the slide fading to transition slowly (not abruptly like the current ‘Gallery’ fade setting) How can this be achieved? Any help much appreciated
  9. The website is https://www.marylucier.net/, and the page I need help with is https://www.marylucier.net/installations. Does anyone know how to remove any and all types of transitions for slideshow image galleries? I have fade has my default transition, but I really don't need a transition in the image gallery. I have tried: .slide { visibility: visible !important; -webkit-transition: opacity 0s ease-in-out; -moz-transition: opacity 0s ease-in-out; -o-transition: opacity 0s ease-in-out; transition: opacity 0s ease-in-out; } but the fade was still there, so I took it out.
  10. Hi, I would like to make a slideshow gallery block full screen and I would like to have my site title overlaid on top of it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve this? Would really appreciate any help whatsoever. Thanks, Henry
  11. Hi all! I recently came across what I consider to be an absolutely perfect quote/text/testimonials slider on this website: https://kaffeine.co.uk/ I’ve recreated something fairly similar using just CSS and HTML, but it’s very finnicky and I can’t get the scrolling arrows or bubbles to work. I’d also love for it to be click-and-draggable on desktop and swipeable on mobile/tablet. Does anyone have any pointers on how to build something like this? Much grattiude! — Jeeves
  12. Is there a method to limit the height of a slideshow block in a blog to fit the screen? I have multiple slideshow blocks on multiple pages. in some the images are landscape-oriented, in some - portrait. Some portrait images fit the screen width, with height of some extending to 2 and more screen heights, so one has to scroll through an image. Is there a way to limit the height of the slideshow element to fit the screen height, regardless of the image orientation in it? (and fit the image to the block size of course) Thank you
  13. Is it possible to create a gallery slideshow that fades between the images, rather than just changing to the next image? It looks a bit jerky how it is currently working.
  14. Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to set a specific text size/font/color for my slideshow titles and descriptions. I have basic knowledge of CSS, I just can't figure out how to identify the elements I'm trying to change in code. Basically: ???? {color: font-size:opacity:etc:} Would really appreciate if anyone could help me fill in the question marks! (Also I'm using Wexley template if that makes a difference). Thanks
  15. Does anyone have a way to add previous/next arrows to a product slideshow in the Brine theme?Adding swipe functionality for mobile devices would be huge too.Sadly, at the moment, the only option is the forward and back arrow keys, or manually clicking each individual thumbnail. Not exactly a very usable "Slideshow" if those are the only options. You can see the issue at the following page : www.inhabitthetriangle.com/listings-database/111-old-pittsboro-rd
  16. In regards to Gallery Blocks: Images contained within Slideshow Gallery Blocks can have an image’s Title be made visible. …But Slider, Stacked and Grid Galleries cannot. Does anyone know how to code Gallery Blocks so an image’s Title will appear with pics contained in these other Gallery-types? Thanks!
