  1. Site URL: https://appletreechocolate.com This has probably been well covered by now, so my apologies, but I'm in a bind with a client and do not have the time to sit and sift through thousands of forum posts to attempt to find what I'm looking for. We are at risk now of losing this client now because I don't know how to fix this. Long story short, we originally had free local pick-up for orders, as well as various calculated shipping fees, dependent on location. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to accomplish this. The client had me completely remove shipping as an option from their site around the holidays because they were out and about too much to ship orders, and it REALLY messed things up for me. I had added two options for flat-rate boxes, each with a fee, but the client informed me this is incorrect and that it should be a range of prices, depending on where the customer lives (in the U.S.) I am not seeing a way to accomplish this, and I was not the one that originally setup the commerce on this site, so I have NO idea how to fix it. This is very pressing, as Valentine's Day is around the corner, and a BIG holiday for this client (a candy store). Any help or ideas would be VERY much appreciated!
  2. Site URL: http://www.fortsferryfarm.com I would like to know if there's a way to hide the shipping/delivery related information on the customer notification email template? All of the products on the online store are for pick-ups only I know that for service products the auto generated tag {.section hasServiceProduct} will hide the shipping information, is there a way to override the rules by inserting this manually?
  3. On my website I sell products and samples. I am looking to have separate shipping prices for the products and the samples but can't find an option to set the shipping price for a specific product. Is this something that can be done/ how can I do this please? Thanks in advance :)
  4. I've been running into an issue with offering free local pick-up to those eligible by zip code. Because the local pick-up shipping option is free, it becomes the default. What I've been finding is customers who have that shipping option available to them don't realize there is a local pick-up option and they breeze over the shipping option choices. When I get an order with the local pick-up option chosen, I end up emailing the customer ensure they meant to "choose" that option. More often than not they didn't even realize it and then I have to figure out a way to charge shipping second hand. I want to offer a free local pick-up but I also want that choice to be a conscious decision (I don't want it to be the default). Does anyone have a creative work around they could share? I had thought about charging shipping and then refunding but that is too inefficient and the cost of shipping is such a barrier to purchasing, especially for my local customers.
  5. I have reached out to Squarespace Support Multiple Times on my concerns for the lack of shipping options within the platform. For Starters, we are unable to input our FEDEX discount into the shipping. For example a FEDEX 2 day one rate cost us $6.99 on the website it wants to charge the customer $22! Also, there's also no calculated international shipping, from any carrier! Furthermore, while you can mark up shipping, you can't subsidize it, a simple change in code. I have patiently waited for months but nothing has changed. I have done my best to figure out flat rates for international and it's either costing me money and sales. As my business continues to grow I am optimistic Squarespace will grow with me and recognize the significance of this issue. I get weekly emails from square space, showing changes and I'm constantly disappointed this is looked over.
  6. Hi everyone, In browsing through the templates I see that most have very large headers which I am trying to avoid. I am trying to find a template that puts the products front an center. I have attached a mock up of what I am trying to achieve. The home page has a paragraph of text with featured products with links for Buy Now. Ideally the Shop page would be a grid format. Is there a template you could recommend that comes close to this? I also have some specific requirements at checkout time. For shipping options I need UPS, FedEx, and LTL. Some customers want to use their own UPS or FedEx account for shipping. Is there a way for them to input their UPS/FedEx account info during the checkout process? With the LTL ship option I would be OK with the customer saving their cart and filling out a contact form. We would then call them with the shipping cost and complete the order/payment. Is there a way to do this with SquareSpace? I am OK with using third party integrations. Thanks.
  7. Hello! I want to add FedEX or another type of shipping option to my squarespace e-commerce page but I can't because it asks me for a zipcode (which I do not have). I am located in Canada and only have a postal code I can give. Does anyone know how to set up shipping from Canada? I'd like to use one of the other services that isn't just the flat rate service. Thank you in advance!
  8. Is there a way to limit the sale of digital items to customers from the USA only? I want to avoid the tax issues with selling to other countries for the time being. I saw that there is a way to set up shipping zones, but will that work with digital products?
  9. Hi there, I have two different types of products which I am currently selling. One of which is small and I am happy to send worldwide. However the other is a larger item and I only want the option to send locally. Is it possible to restrict where one particular product can be purchased? For example I have enabled the option to purchase in Australia. I do not want this australian user to be able to purchase 'The Long Light' online. However, I would like them to be able to purchase 'The Paper Filter Station' website - https://oddthing.co.nz/store Thank you for your help in advance! Henry
  10. I'm trying to streamline my shipping options, and also make them more clear so customers know what to expect. I want to define USPS First Class vs Priority, etc. But because first class can only be on packages up to 16 oz, when the automated final option includes up to infinity, it complicates things. Since first class mail stops at 1 lb. I want an order that is say 5oz, to be able to choose first class, or priority. But if someone who has a 2lb package is choosing shipping, this means they'll see a first class option in their options. Even though it isn't an actual option for their package weight. Is there a way around this?
  11. I have a customer that has asked of we could offer APO/AFO shipping. I know that Shipstation supports APO shipping but I can find no information on how to set this up within Squarespace. Has anyone successfully set up APO shipping that could assist or is this not an option?
  12. Hi all, I was wondering is there a way trough coding to add shipping weight to the order export, at the moment this is not possible and it is important for order fulfillment? There are two hacks one figured out by me and other I got from support. 1. Add shipping weight to the SKU SQ0788669-0.25 and later separate it in excel 2. Add shipping weight as an internal not not so good, it requires cleaning How do you solve this issue?
  13. Hi there! Has anybody implemented code for setting up shipping regions outside of the US/Canada? I need to exclude one of the regions in Spain as it's too far away and the shipping cost would eat my margin. Thanks!!
  14. We've hit a problem with shipping options that is causing concern regarding transitioning our site to Squarespace. Specifically, we have several products that cannot be shipped via Express/Next Day due to shipping restrictions (like flammable goods, say colongne that contains an alcohol base, or glue/solvent). Right now, the only option I seem to have is to remove Express/Next Day Shipping from the entire site, which is not going to work. Over 80% of our products can ship via any means, and removing the option completely will lead to customer dis-sat and decline in sales. Having the option on, and reverting the shipping, contacting customer to explain, etc. is also undesirable. I want to be able to enable specific shipping methods based on the product type. Any guidance from the community here ? From support, it seems that shipping options are just passing through and no logic to further extend. Thanks in advance, Doug

  16. I want to be able to cancel a commerce order if I can not ship to a particular zip code. I would like to be able to retain their email and order information if I am able to ship to them in the future. Is this possible? Thank you!

    Free Shipping

Hello, So my commerce page is set to have different shipping prices for different weight and countries. Over a certain amount of weight it's free shipping as it's set on the shipping options, but I would like to have a "free shipping over 100€" option for every country, so that I can have a bar at the top of the page promoting the offer. How do I do that? Thanks, Eleonora
  18. Website is currently set up to sell coffee to the United States only with a flat rate shipping charge. Client would like to offer free shipping on orders over qty. 4 but also include Canada and Mexico. Only orders being delivered to the Untied States could be for less than qty.4. Wondering how to set this up? I know there can be coding to enable shipping minimums and I could change the shipping zones, but then how can I keep the ability for small orders with chargeable shipping to be able to be delivered in the US.
  19. Hi, there is a serious loophole that I need to know when you'll fix this. I've had a couple of discussions with your technical department with the acknowledgment that this is a loophole. I need some forecast of when it will be corrected. To rehash the problem. When setting up the taxes, each area has their designated tax amounts. When doing free shipping or in my case free pick-up, the taxes should be based on the local taxes, not the billing address of the customer. Savvy customers are discovering they can avoid the local tax amount if they have a credit card in a jurisdiction that is outside of our selling area, selecting free shipping, pick-up, and not being charged local taxes. We are losing revenue because now we have to remit the tax for the unforseen loophole. I was told that this is something that would be addressed in the near future. I have had another transaction exploiting this loophole and need to know when Squarespace might have this resolved.
  20. My Issue: Whilst I also require a UK shipping option (my home/domestic area), the 'Add Shipping Option’ facility does not provide for ONE ‘Europe’ shipping zone (as with United States/54 States and Canada/13 Provinces) which means it is necessary to enter each European country/option individually. Solution: Provide a ‘Europe’ shipping option/zone. Enquiry: Can a member of this forum, or a Squarespace specialist with experience using the platform, share any workarounds and tools you have discovered whilst modifying your own site, to implement my proposed solution? Thank you
  21. I want to offer free shipping if a customer buys one item. But if they buy 2, I'll need to charge priority mail rate. Any ideas how to do this?
  22. Hi Everyone, has anyone found out how you can either disable shipping to Highlands and Islands or specify a different rate for there? Am I correct in thinking Squarespace still hasn't got regional shipping options for UK? Thanks! Anna
  23. On my website I sell products to USA and another country. Some of my products are available for both countries and others are not. The problem is that I want to offer specific products to ship just to USA. How do I do that? Thanks.
  24. I'd like for certain items to only be able to be shipped within Australia. I still have items that I want to be able to ship internationally however not all of them. Is there any way I can set specific shipping locations for specific items in my inventory ??
  25. I'm setting up a site for late night food delivery. The e commerce sites have shipping options but not scheduling options and the schedulers won't let me use 9pm-2am as an option. Does squarespace have an option for me, or should do i need to build a wordpress site?
