    Shipping Defaults

Site URL: https://mccallsmarket.com I have pick up and delivery options and the shipping keeps defaulting to “pick up.” How can I change this to default to delivery? If one is free and the other has a dollar amount, does it regardless default to the free option?
  2. Has anyone found a way to allow customers to get a shipping estimate prior to checkout? (preferably on the product page or in the cart) Currently a customer has to enter their email and go through most of the checkout process before getting the shipping price. Most research shows that this is a major factor in abandoned carts. Many smaller websites have this feature and it is surprising to me that squarespace has not added such a basic ecommerce feature.
  3. Site URL: https://www.survivaltechniques.co.uk/shop Hello! I am moving my shop over to Squarespace from BigCartel and can't find a way to register the correct shipping for my products. I sell a range of paintings, prints and canvas bags which have a big range of shipping prices, ie a painting is going to cost a lot more to send than an A3 print. I can only find an option to set shipping rates by weight or flat rate, neither of which work as customers often buy a combination of products, which each need to be packaged separately. Is there a way I can set a shipping rate per product? I used to have my shop with BigCartel and it was very easy to set a specific shipping rate for each product. The current options in Squarespace are driving me crazy with how inflexible they are. Any help would be much appreciated. This is my shop: https://www.survivaltechniques.co.uk/shop
  4. Site URL: https://www.circlethreedesigns.com/ I am looking for a way to use my Fedex account to calculate shipping charges. Ideally, I would like to take my Fedex rate and add 5-10 percent. Is there a way to do this? Thank you in advance!
  5. Site URL: http://shopmaisaguam.com Is there any way I can automate free shipping on my website over a certain dollar amount? If not, any backdoor methods?
  6. Site URL: http://www.exceedfootwear.com How can i add automatically calculate shipping rates with tax and duties in the cart (for sending UK to USA) before the customer checks out. Also, is it possible to calculate estimated tax and duties on arrival. Thanks
  7. Hello! I have a shipping by weight problem. I originally had shipping set to standard 1st class Royal Mail, small parcel (up to 1kg). However, A recent customer order went over the weight limit so, I had to cover the additional cost. I've now changed to ship by weight but, the shipping on the first order since changing has been over charged. The product ordered weighs 350 gm and the customer ordered 2 so, that should be a total weight of 700 gms and be within the limit for my 'up to 1kg' shipping option. However, the customer has been charged at the next level up. I can't work out why this has happened. Can anyone help, please?
  8. Site URL: http://www.jnesbit.com I'm trying to get some advice on how to improve my shipping options on my website. We sell artwork, and I currently use the shipping by weight option. I have a broken (but workable) system currently in place based on a metaphorical "weight" assigned to products to help the shipping costs scale roughly to the size of the order. For example, one small 8.5x11 "weighs" 1 lb., one 18x24 "weighs" 2 lbs.; the shipping price bracket from 1 - 4.99 lbs is $7, after which it increases from 5 - 9.99 lbs. for $10. (I've included a few screenshots to demonstrate how this is implemented both in the shipping section and the product variants section) I'm interested in using the calculated rates options to simplify the process, but I'm unsure how to make it work with my products. Sometimes products can be shipped flat, but other times they can be rolled in tubes, and this is largely done at the discretion of our in-house order fulfiller. Larger-quantity orders are typically shipped in tubes, whereas smaller orders are typically sent flat. Is there any solution to where people could be paying more accurate, proportionally-scaling shipping rates? For example, the shipping options help page suggests listing a 24x36 as 3"x36" in order to fit into a tube. This is a great tip, but does the calculator understand that, if multiple products are ordered, they could be grouped into a singular tube? If you view one of the art products on our website, you can see the problem I'm running into. We offer so many variants (and some materials are drop-shipped from the oversize printers directly) that it's difficult to have a system that scales well and is generally effective. I'd greatly appreciate any advice you have!
  9. Site URL: https://www.magnificentmarrow.co.uk/ I've created a commerce website, which works great, however we are now expanding and offering nationwide shipments within the UK as well as out local deliveries- I want to set up the website so that the first page the customer lands on, it asks for their postcode - once the postcode is submitted in then filters the options that are available to them. Is there an integration or a way of doing this within squarespace? Any help greatly appreciated.
  10. I am wanting to apply certain shipping options only for specific products on my site. For example, I am selling stickers that ship inexpensively but I am also selling books that cost more to ship. I want to offer am inexpensive shipping option for just the stickers but not allow customers to apply it to the books. Is there a way to do this?
  11. Site URL: https://www.crusetdecouvertes.fr with my company we are working with the GLS shipping company , i recently find out that they develloped a widget only for prestashop, magento and woocommerce to be put at the checkout page to give the choice to customers to choose between a home delivery or a relay point where they can get their stuff at the time they want. Do you know if it that does exist on squarespace ?
  12. Site URL: http://kingfisherfarmshop.com My shop is not yet live on the website but hidden. We have a Farm Shop in Surrey, UK and we would like to offer Grocery boxes, Gift Hampers and flowers for local delivery only (we deliver in our vans and do not want to offer nationwide delivery). I have recently upgraded to the Advanced Plan, Commerce and yet I have just realised that SquareSpace only offers postcode restrictions in the USA and Canada and this is an important part of our website. Is anyone able to tell me whether we can employ a SquareSpace expert to make it possible to limit the postcode delivery area for our online customers? (We are in the UK)
  13. Has anyone found any work around with the waitlists feature, ie- not showing up until you click onto the sold out button and choose a variant? Who is going to click on SOLD OUT and then choose A VARIANT before seeing the WAITLIST? Either have it under the products or allow under product that's SOLD OUT a WAITLIST option with when you click through to the full bleed product page it is there straight away - cant be that hard to implement surely. It was one of the features I am paying extra money for ( including USA shipping calculations ) although I am UK based ( when will we have UK & other country shipping options based on supplier and weights etc!! ) Come on SS - your'e amazing - get your act together! cheers, Brett bh.mov
  14. Site URL: https://dalcomask.com/ Hi, we calculate shipping after the order has been completed, not at the time of checkout. How do I remove the rate requirement from my page in 7.1?
  15. I have a floral company operating on the Squarespace platform and sometimes customers purchase multiple arrangements going to different addresses all in the same order. For example, for Mother's Day the same customer may order an arrangement for their mom and grandmother, both going to separate addresses, but paid for on the same order. Is there a way to get a separate shipping address per item versus collecting all the shipping information generally at the end? Or is there a way to turn of collecting the shipping address (which we could rather build into a form)? Our overall goal is that we’ll be able to more efficiently track and fulfill deliveries as separate orders. I reached out to squarespace and they advised this was not something they offered, which is a bit shocking. Are there other companies out there that have this issue and/or workarounds? Any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated.
  16. Site URL: https://ckco.squarespace.com/ Hi guys - hope you're all safe and well - and have a minute of your time to help me? Currently building a new shopping site (in Brine v7, of course!) and my client will be fulfilling their own orders and delivery, and would like to be able to notify their customers of when the delivery is expected. I can see the MARK FULFILLED button, which will send an email to say "it's on its way", and I can insert a tracking number, but ideally we'd like to be able to override this (or add) a note to say "we'll see you about 4pm later today" or similar. Does anyone have any ideas how this can be achieved? Many thanks.
  17. Site URL: https://sashalennonpottery.com/ I sell physical goods, and I have upgraded my site to included carrier calculated shipping rates at checkout. Most of my goods require a box for shipping, but I recently started selling stickers. Stickers are flat, and don't need to be shipped in a box. I want the calculated shipping when shipping only stickers to be $0.55 (the cost of a stamp). I can't find a way to manipulate the carrier calculator to know to place the items in an envelope and not a box. I have tried creating a flat rate shipping option, but since I can't apply shipping options to individual products, the shipping option displays at checkout as an option for all orders. I have lost money when people ordering items requiring a box choose the sticker shipping option. I have also tried making a discount for free shipping for the stickers but, again, when people order multiple items it applies the discount to the entire order when I don't want the entire order to have free shipping. Please help!
  18. Hi all, I am trying to restrict the delivery area to specific areas within London, could anyone advise on how I can change this? Many thanks, Helena
  19. Site URL: https://www.eoddistillery.com/shop We have items (alcohol) that can not be shipped in NC; we also have merchandise that can. How can we eliminate the option of shipping? I setup a in-store pick up but it still gives the option of both shipping and pickup.
  20. Site URL: https://seahorse-soybean-ygpf.squarespace.com/ I manage an artist cooperative and some of our works are not reasonable to ship and need to be local pick up only. I know how to make a "flat rate" local pick up option, but I don't see a way to specify that a particular product should be available only for local pickup. Any ideas? I'm open to plugins or even coding a workaround myself (but it would be great if there is something already existing).
  21. Hi, How to I specify two different shipping locations being my home country of Australia and The Rest of the World?
  22. Site URL: https://www.rawfusion.co.uk/shop Hi How do we go about giving free shipping above a certain order quantity? Say if someone orders above 50 euros for example
  23. Site URL: http://www.lostmap.com/club Hi there ... first time poster, please go easy on me if this question has been asked a million times. I couldn't find an answer to it, when i did a search. I'm wondering if it is possible to change the shipping costs on a subscription product, and for it to be implemented on existing subscribers? Postage in the UK has just gone up, and so I adjusted the shipping costs on my subscription product by £0.10. I currently have 245 subscribers to this product, and only brand new subscribers are having to pay the new adjusted shipping cost (which is £0.70). All existing subscribers are paying £0.60. I asked Squarespace about this via email, and their advice was to have my existing customers cancel their subscription, and then resubscribe ... but I desperately don't want to do this, as i'm positive i'll lose a significant bunch of customers. It seems unfair, to me. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is change possible?
  24. I have a digital file product line that I sell. My problem is I personally do not have the digital file for the customer to download, it comes from the designer to my customer directly. So when entering the product, I can not make it a digital file without uploading an actual file. Therefore, I had to make it a physical product. Now my issue is even though I left it 0 lbs. for weight, my customers will still get charged a shipping fee. I cannot figure out how to make just a certain product category free shipping. None of the discount options work here. Any thoughts on how I can do this? Jennifer
  25. Has anyone else encountered an issue with using the ShipStation extension not pulling product variants or images from the site? I've got support tickets out on both platforms, but they seem to be pointing the finger at each other rather than working on a fix for the last two weeks.
