  1. Site URL: https://www.walkingforhealthandfitness.com In Goolge Search Console I get this error message on a graph: 48 poor URLs. This began 3/30. I had no idea until I typed my website address into Google Search and a blogpost from the site appeared but not the home page. What is the problem? How do I fix it See attachment...Notice the problem doesn't appear in mobile. Thanks, Frank
  2. Site URL: https://www.juergenhofmann.com/naturfotografie Hi lovely people! I made a gallery page for my nature photography to add tags, categories, etc. (this page is deactivated and hidden in search engines). Same gallery is linked on the following page which is activated and shown in search engines: https://www.juergenhofmann.com/naturfotografie So my question is, since the original gallery page is deactivated / hidden, are the SEO improvements (tags, categories, alt-texts, etc.) still recognized by google, or do I have to have my original gallery page also set as active / shown for the SEO improvements to be recognized? Thanks a lot for the help!
  3. Site URL: http://www.eye4designavl.com Hi, so I am working on this website and using a template that allows for large background images. I setup the entire site to pretty much have background images. I designed the site normally with image blocks, text blocks, buttons, etc. - Just like any other. Now that I am done I am now curious on how SEO works with the all the text being over top these background images. Does this effect SEO and bots from reading sites. Graphically/Visually I made the image contrast we the text for the viewer, but I am curious if this scores bad and that I should not be doing this and keeping all text to white background. Does anyone know any details on what I'm trying to figure out? The site is eye4designavl.com Thank you!
  4. Why is this showing up on our homepage? We did not code that. We use an index page for our homepage with subpages. We even tried making all the subpages visible in the SEO tab, but the noindex remains. Google says it can't index the homepage because it is set to noindex by Squarespace. Any ideas?
  5. Site URL: https://www.nikkidinkicooking.com/blog/creamy-spicy-corn-dip.html On my client's website we are using a custom code block to insert a very nice looking recipe card on blog post page. The HTML of the recipe card uses the Recipe Schema so that Google displays an appropriate recipe card on search results. We are also using Rating Widget to display star ratings to users. We are struggling with getting the star rating on the google search result recipe card though. Since the Rating Widget is a third-party Javascript snippet, we need to capture that rating after the page and widget has loaded. We thus have to use an application/ld+json script tag with all the recipe data, which we append after the page has loaded. When using Google's Rich Results Testing Tool (https://search.google.com/test/rich-results), we can see that it accurately captures the Recipe data and the rating. However, on actual search results the rating still does not coming through. For example, use this link to see the Rich Results of a particular page: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nikkidinkicooking.com%2Fblog%2Fcreamy-spicy-corn-dip.html&user_agent=1 If you preview the result, you can view the recipe card with a rating on it. Disclaimer: on the rich results testing tool it does say, "This is a beta version. Not all rich results and error types are supported yet." Has anyone had any success displaying ratings on Google search results? What was your implementation?
  6. Site URL: https://tugrulyildirim.com Hello, I am happy to announce that I will start to sell my php website script in my own website. Next week you will be able to buy seo frindly, responsive, cheap websites.
  7. Site URL: https://www.birthdaysdocumentary.com/gallery Hi everyone! I am trying to improve my SEO, so in order to put the best keywords on my gallery images, I wouldn't want them to show. So, I disabled the "show title and description" for every single image. Would that still help search engines discover my images? Or, does it have to SHOW the description and title so as to get picked up by search engines? I'd love to hear from you based on your experience!
  8. How do I increase my google search keywords? I got to Home>Analytics>Google search keywords and it only shows my website name. How do I increase the amount of keywords? I also went to other search keywords and it only shows my whole website name. Can someone tell me how to do I add more keywords this is really important :(
  9. Site URL: https://www.beverlysiu.com I have 2 problems which I think are related: 1. Google indexed my squarespace free domain for my site (ray-hibiscus-856y), which is odd because my site has been up on beverlysiu.com for more than a year through squarespace and was working correctly previously. 2. SEO ranking has fallen dramatically. My site used to be the #1 result so I know it was working before. Both the wrong url getting indexed and the SEO issues were noticed at the same time. I tried requesting the google search console clear their cache but my request was denied. My only theory for why it might be failing is because I changed my template and my site now uses an index page for the home page, which afterwards I learned can hurt SEO ranking if one doesn't tell search engines not to index sub-pages (Squarespace why would you recommend this in your templates if you knew this would happen?!). My index page was empty though so that couldn't have been my problem. I've since done everything I could to optimize my SEO rankings (social images, meta descriptions, meta titles) but I'm still very low on google search and not even with my correct domain. What is wrong and how can I fix it?
  10. I am novice to SEO: I think I read in the Squarespace Help Guide that I should add tags to: Finder > File > Get Info > Add Tags... So that once the tags are in that box will be then automatically used by Squarespace and Search Engines? Is that correct or I just dreamed about itβ€½
  11. Site URL: http://www.breatheportugal.com I searched for my project on Google and found out it is displaying the wrong sitelinks. Instead of showing the main pages (like the ones on my top nav), it is showing two links, (one of which is just a page that belongs to an index) and they are even unavailable. I know we cannot control what's being displayed as a sitelink, but do you have any thoughts on how we could prevent this from happening? I thought of hiding from search engines all the pages and just keep visible the indexes that contain them. What do you think? Thank you
  12. I need to add some schema mark up to a website - I can get to the code injection through the advanced settings for each page but how does it look when the schema mark up is added? Do i just paste in the generated schema mark up from the google genertor?

  14. Hello all, I'm new to squarespace. I have worked with Wix but some friends told me that Square Space rocks. So I need a website that allows me to give classes (pre- recorded videos) and sell learning modules. Eventually pretty much in the same line of Udemy or Linkedin Learning. I went through the available designs and FAQs but it's difficult to decide and I don't want to change afterwards. Additionally, would like to ask how efficient is the SEO using a website from SquareSpace? Good results? I'm going to need a lot of SEO and want to be sure that it's fine. Thank you very much in advance. Best regards, Antonio Ferreira
  15. Site URL: https://www.allisterfreeman.co.uk Hi there, been methodically going through my site making changes my seo software is flagging up. It's showing two h1 tags on pages, looking at the source there's an h1 applied to the logo file on the site (not using text logo) in addition to the page heading. <h1 class="logo"><a href="/"><img src="//static1.squares... I'd love to be able to get rid of it, anyone had any success here? Any pointers appreciated! Al
  16. Site URL: https://www.mauricesamuels.net Hello! I helped publish a squarespace site in early March, but the site still does not appear at all in google's search results. https://www.mauricesamuels.net So far, I've followed the suggested squarespace SEO guidelines (using keyword optimized site title/descriptions, SEO descriptions, optimized images/URLs, etc...), as well as requested indexing, and submitted a sitemap in google search console. I understand that it might take some time for indexing, but as previously mentioned it's been ~2 months and to search for the author's name and for nothing to appear at all in the results seems bizarre. Please let me know if if there's anything else I might try to help solve this issue? Thanks in advance!
  17. Site URL: https://www.wheslimusic.com/ Hey. So I created my website about 12 days ago, and while creating it followed the guidelines when it comes to filling your SEO. Ive updated the website description on the SEO tab, but it still isn't updated when I search specifically on google. Does anyone know how long it will take to update?
  18. Hi, We developed a site using Squarespace. Everything was pretty easy to do. The interface is very user friendly and everything was OK. My problems started after I put the site online (https://www.anacristinadeoliveira.com). I followed all the instructions but the site didn't appear in any google search and I don't know what is wrong! Somebody may help me? Best Regards, Michelangelo
  19. Site URL: https://moments-films.de/hochzeitsvideo-frankfurt Hello πŸ™‚ on my site https://moments-films.de/hochzeitsvideo-frankfurt I renamed my picture (the one with me on it at sunset) to "hochzeitsvideo frankfurt" because that's the keyword this site should rank. My SEO tool (Seobility) detects that it has that keyword as an alt tag but not as an image title and therefore not in the image url. is there another way to rename the pictures so that my SEO tool keeps quiet? πŸ˜„ Thank you all πŸ˜„

  21. Hello How do I delete uploaded .pdf files from Squarespace when they are not visible in the file drop down menu (AVENUE template) but still discoverable through Google search? I was surprised to find out that some pdf files that I had uploaded a year ago as links to certain pages but not used any more, where still available to download if I searched my site on Google! When I go to file manager I can't see them on the drop down menu. Also, I realize different linked areas of the site display different uploaded files. Is there a central file management place where I can delete everything that is not in use? URL: www.onebreath.eu, Template: Avenue Thank youMyrto
  22. Site URL: https://www.lamasz.com Hi, I changed my SEO site title and description, however when I search for the site name it has not changed. Does anyone know why this is ? Thank you
  23. Site URL: https://www.creativebloomrocks.com/ Hi, Can we create a manual pyramid URL structure by just editing the URL slugs? Eg Home Page - level 0 URL = / Category - level 1 URL = /category Sub category - level 2 URL = /category/sub-category 1 etc The index & folders dont do quite what we want in that respect. Wanted to chekc thats OK, doesnt mess with the site maps etc Thanks Stu
  24. Hello! I've recently changed my site template to Tudor (Skye Family), and noticed that most of my blog pages don't have an H1 associated with them. For example, on this blog page: https://bitbloggist.com/video-game-blog-collection/top-10-switch-games-so-far The text "10 Best Switch Games Right Now" is automatically classified as an H2 instead of an H1. There's no way to change this in the style editor, so I believe I'll need some custom CSS to change this. Also, this change only needs to apply to individual blog posts, as I don't want my home page to have multiple H1's listed. Thanks in advance!
