  1. Hey all, So for the expert SEO people, I have a question. I feel like I tick the boxes when it comes to a SEO checklist when i write and post my travel blogs. However, on my google search words I have a heap of impressions on 1 blog (https://www.aussieoutbound.com/blog/how-to-get-to-trolltunga-trolls-tongue) and i can see my ranking on google and what page I'm on etc. As for my other more popular blogs that get traffic from direct sources where its been shared and posted (https://www.aussieoutbound.com/blog/iceland-ring-road-itinerary),I have no impressions or stats on google search words. So my question is, why does my google search words stats only have stats showing up from only 1 blog? Am i missing something. Its just strange that all the search words and phrases are coming from 1 blog.Any help at all to get some of my blogs visible would be fab :) Thanks
  2. Hi everyone. I am working on a site with a dark background using a template from the brine template familiy, and for some silly reason the input text colour for search, contact forms and shopping cart quantity is all linked to the body text colour of my site. Not a problem if you have a white background, but you see how this could be an issue is your body text colour needs to be white!! I used the below code to fix the cart quantity, and selected lightbox mode for my contact form as a temporary workaround, but I'm having trouble adapting the code for the Squarespace built-in Search page. show-cart .quantity input { color: #000000; } Any help with the code I need to enter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Luke
  3. Hey there :) Thank you for taking the time to read this question and I hope that you can help me out. I have an online Piano tutor service, hosted through Squarespace. I started the website around 6 months ago and have sent a considerable amount on Google AdWords driving non-organic traffic to my website thinking that organic SEO traffic would start coming in as the thousands of viewers enjoyed being on my page and learning how to play the piano. I've had SEO reports done through Fiverr, and still don't know what is wrong with my organic SEO. All pages are seemingly 'optimised' using the keywords I know work (because of AdWords) in my regular blog posts, titles and URL slugs. Do you have any suggestions as what to do next? I have registered my site with Google (see site:...) and the website comes up, but I do not get any organic SEO traffic and it's really stressing me out! Many thanks.
  4. Pretty straight forward. I'd like to know if it's possible to put a search field in navigation bar using the Alex templatee. http://www.squarespace.com/templates/?q=alex Thanks so much!Ollie
  5. I'm using the Adirondack template and have been able to add a search bar in a page, but don't like it there and want it to be in the header or underneath the logo. Another problem I had was it wasn't displaying the prices of my products which I would really like it to show. Thank you in advance
  6. Hello Guys, I have seen a lot of posts on this subject, today I will show you how to add a search lens in the navigation bar (in the header) in Squarespace 7 using the tutorial made by the Squarespace Guru for Squarespace 6, that you can find here This is how it looks like: You will need to follow these steps: 1) Retrieve the search address for your Squarespace site, every Squarespace site has one. • If you have a custom domain it will be as follows: www.yourdomain.com/search • If you do not have a custom domain linked to your site, it will be as follows: www.yourusername.squarespace.com/search 2) Add in the Code Injection, in the header section the following code in Settings >> Advanced >> Code Injection >> Header: <link href="//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.1.0/css/font-awesome.min.css" rel="stylesheet"> This video shows you how to do it: 3) Add a link under the main navigation and name it the following: <i class=" fa fa-search"></i> Here is the video that shows you how to do it in Squarespace 7: As a note, it might take a few minutes for the lens icon to display. 7. How can I add a Search Block to the top of the site, in or near the header? Thanks.

    How to Center a Block

Anytime I add a block to a page, it defaults to a flush left position. For example, if I want to have the Search Block appear right in the middle of a page, I need to add a Space Block to the left of it and stretch it out to the right until the Search Block becomes visually centered to my eye. Same with an image. If inserting an Image Block, I would need to add a Space Block on both the left and right of it in order to force it to center. Are adding all of these spacer blocks the only way to force things to center? What about the Search Block where the Space Block is only on the left of it (to push it further right). Seems like there should be a more precise and elegant way to get this to be centered. All of these Space Blocks also effect the mobile version's layout.
  9. The Instagram block is great for pulling images from your personal account. But I'd like a way to aggregate photos from multiple users around a specific hashtag. This is a great way for getting a good sense of an event, in real-time.
  10. How does Squarespace compare to various other services with respect to Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
