  1. Site URL: https://www.murray4maintenance.co.nz/ Hi, I'm wondering if I could have some help with the site title on the main page being cropped out on my mobile however it's coming up perfectly on the mobile view on Squarespace.
  2. Site URL: https://www.blairhodge.info/ Help, 🙂 This has been driving me crazy for a while now and I would appreciate any help with this. I would like the index gallery slideshow to appear exactly as it is on the desktop view for Tablet and Mobile But when I go into Tablet and mobile view, certain images get cropped at the sides. Is it possible to scale down the entire index gallery slideshow using media queries to keep the desktop proportions? I'm using the Brine family (Greenwich Interior Design template) Site - https://www.blairhodge.info/ Appreciate any help in advance! B
  3. I'm using a brine template. I want to have banner images on each page, but I would like the images to always display full width. Another way to say this is that I would not like the images to become cropped horizontally if the window is scaled. ideally I'd like to retain parallax, but this is not necessary. I have toyed with making the pages indexes, and putting a 1-image gallery at the top of each one, but the images are not all the same height so I run into other scaling issues when I try to do this. If I were to go the gallery route, I would like to find a way to control the gallery spacing and aspect ratio parameters per page. Currently these controls are site wide.
  4. Site URL: https://oval-panda-rsl8.squarespace.com/ Hi, I was wondering what would be the most effective way of stoping text from hyphonating when the screen size is reduced?
  5. Site URL: https://www.justinphang.com/ Hey there peeps! Here's my website https://www.justinphang.com/ in Lange Template I'm a total beginner in CSS and I've been searching everywhere in the forums and Google to no avail of the effect I'm trying to achieve. I'm trying to add hover animation to the pictures in the homepage. It is an Index page. The animation I'm looking at is a slight scale of 1.1 when the mouse cursor is hovering the pictures and the rest of the pictures are slightly blurred, also trying to achieved a slight drop shadow at the hovered picture too. If it's not too much to ask, I'm trying to add animation for the main navigation (Weekdays, weekends and week-long) so that they fade-in appear one by one after the main picture is loaded. But this appearing animation only applies to the homepage. Is it possible? Thanks in advance!
  6. Site URL: http://https/bumblebee-pear-rhcn.squarespace.com/ Hi all! I've been working on rebuilding my current site to version 7.1 for the past two weeks now. I have a gallery slideshow on my home page that I want to serve as a product advertisement slideshow. For example, on photoshop, I will create images with text on them about bundles (buy 1 get 1 free) & other types of promotions in my store, but I don't want the gallery to crop out any parts of my image when it's viewed on different computers or mobile/tablet view. I just want it to scale down appropriately without cropping anything to fit the viewer's screen. I don't have my actual images up just yet, it's still the default sample images. But I can still see when it gets cropped in mobile/tablet view. I've searched through this forum and google day & night for a working code, but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there any way to keep the images at a fixed height & width size ratio?? I'd appreciate the help so much! Thanks in advance! 7. Hi, Just wondering how you can go about adding an image next to a block of copy with a colored background in 7.1 so they scale together. Like the attached image.
  8. Site URL: https://www.plantbasedhealthuk.com/ At the top of my homepage www.plantbasedhealthuk.com I have a slideshow gallery. It displays fine on desktop, but portrait mobile view is not scaling down to the screen size. It appears huge and you can only see part of the image. Can anyone help with code or another way to rectify this please?
  9. Site URL: https://www.dfwmicropigmentation.com Hi ya'll, probably a simple request: I need help scaling a banner image 100% width on my home page. It does it on iPhone, just not on desktop computers. Thanks for any help!
  10. Site URL: https://www.thislandisdigital.com/ Context: I've spent some time trying to apply a custom grid layout to my index so that I can highlight certain projects with double sized thumbnails. To do this I followed this tutorial which targets an index: gallery block from a different template rather than the standard index I have available in Avenue (not sure if the scaling is different because of this). I was able to successfully assign an area to each of the index thumbnails and arrange them the way I wanted using grid-template-areas with one main issue. Problem: The thumbnails are forced to match the aspect ratio in my site style rather than cropping or stretching to fill the grid's literal space. What I want is to have a combination of 2/1 and 1/1 aspect ratios. My site style can be one or the other (50 or 100). No matter which I choose, the grid is being stretched vertically to match the same ratio. Here's my code so far. I'll deal with the tablet and mobile arrangements when I solve the desktop issues. #collection-5c89d82aee6eb05083075575 #projectThumbs { > div { // Create a grid layout on the index. display: grid; // Visually map the named items below to the grid using spaces. Repetition matters. grid-template-areas: "firstAB firstAB firstCD firstCD" "secondA secondB secondC secondD" "thirdA thirdBC thirdBC thirdD" "fourthA fourthB fourthC fourthD"; @media screen and (max-width: 800px) { //grid-template-areas: ""; } @media screen and (max-width: 640px) { //display: block; } } // First Row a:nth-of-type(1){ grid-area: firstAB; // Name of the item. } a:nth-of-type(2){ grid-area: firstCD; } // Second Row a:nth-of-type(3){ grid-area: secondA; } a:nth-of-type(4){ grid-area: secondB; } a:nth-of-type(5){ grid-area: secondC; } a:nth-of-type(6){ grid-area: secondD; } // Third Row a:nth-of-type(7){ grid-area: thirdA; } a:nth-of-type(8){ grid-area: thirdBC; } a:nth-of-type(9){ grid-area: thirdD; } // Fourth Row a:nth-of-type(10){ grid-area: fourthA; } a:nth-of-type(11){ grid-area: fourthB; } a:nth-of-type(12){ grid-area: fourthC; } a:nth-of-type(13){ grid-area: fourthD; } } I attached a picture of the result I want vs. the result I'm getting. * I had to temporarily revert my site to a standard 4-wide index and comment the CSS out. Didn't want to leave my site up in a broken state while I wait for a solution (it requires a 1-wide index for some reason). I was able to reduce the visible size of specific images, but only the image element and not whatever larger element it's attached to (still new to CSS). Hopefully the screenshots and my code will be enough to get a hint or direction.
