  1. I am not a web design person or programer, so what I am asking is not in my wheelhouse. Any help would be appreciated. My customers are not tech savvy and quite often I have to have them download a file from my website. The hardest and longest part of the process with my customer is getting the file download and installed on my customer's computer. I created a page with a clickable link to the file. Is there a way to have an animation or image of an arrow that points to the downloaded file in my end user's browser once they click the link to download the file? Safari's download list is an
  2. Site URL: https://sealion-swordfish-4y7r.squarespace.com/config/ Hello, I am trying to justify text in Squarespace 7.1. I have tried adding all of the CSS codes that have been recommended here and from YouTube. None of the code seems to work in the Safari browser. Please help. Thank you. 3. Site URL: https://seabass-vuvuzela-ynfj.squarespace.com/ I added css #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1597694605564_14382 { column-count: 2; } and now this block is not visible in Safari 13 (catalina). On Chrome and FF, it looks ok. Any ideas? https://seabass-vuvuzela-ynfj.squarespace.com/
  4. Site URL: https://www.loxd.io/home-page/ Hello! I'm encountering an issue when I use safari to open my website. The pages loads up and then refreshes. I'm not sure what the issue is so I'm wondering if anybody has encountered it as well or it might be something with just my website and the custom code I'm using. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! PW: loxd
  5. Hello community, I’ve encountered a weird bug with png’s. Some of them, probably only those that use a greyscale model, won’t show up in Safari, but instead look black. Sometimes you can even see how Safari loads the picture correctly and then switches to a black image. However the problem is inside the png. And it is not inside the original png, it only occurs through the formatting that Squarespace does with the picture. I can track it back by downloading the picture and it looks good in every program, except for Safari; however if I save it without changes but as a colour RGB, Safari ope
  6. Site URL: https://www.libeluladesol.cl/matrimonio-camila-y-matias-2021 Hi everyone! First of all, sorry for my English! Now, the question... I'm making one page, I thougth it look ok on mobile devices, and it is, except on Iphones... This is how it should look: And this is how it looks from an Iphone: The word "Matías" is continuing down with a hyphen . I'm guessing it has to do with Safari? How can I solve it? I've tried with some something called viewport and others things I saw on internet, nothing really working... https://www.libel
  7. Trying to use Safari 13.1.1 in Mac OS 10.15.5 (Catalina) to edit a 7.1 template. Incredibly glitchy: after I make a single change, I'll suddenly be put back at the top of the page, even though I need to change other items in a field. Perhaps I'll click the pencil icon and not get into edit mode. I'll make color adjustments that not only don't stay, but again I'm simply taken to the top of the page. There's no rhyme or reason why or when any oddity will happen, though it's frequent. I can't concentrate on what content I want to create since I seem to be fighting the system so much. Are th
  8. Site URL: https://www.theforestofarden.com I can't explain this, but we have a simple contact form on our landing page and it doesn't show in mobile Safari. Shows up fine on desktop and in mobile Chrome. Not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions very welcome!
  9. Site URL: http://www.blueforeststudios.squarespace.com Hi. I have embedded videos on pages throughout the site. All works well in Chrome. However, when I test in Safari browser on Mac I notice that once an embedded video begins to play, and you hit the "back" button, you are presented with a blank page. This occurs both with a standard video embed, and when video is used as a background. Any suggestions for a fix? thanks! (pw on site is 1234)
  10. Site URL: https://folqi.com/seo Hi there, i have a problem with safari browser. 11. Site URL: https://www.sarvacenter.com Hello! A site I created is loading incorrectly in Safari - initially, the banner text is too high and the banner image stops short. This only happens when a user first lands on the page. Once you refresh or open the page in a different window/tab, it load correctly. It appears to only happen on the homepage. https://tiger-cobalt-x42w.squarespace.com Any ideas what might be causing this glitch? Thank you!
  12. Site URL: http://theattnco.com/contact I've configured the content on my page to sit in the bottom left hand corner and it works perfectly on desktop, but when using an iPhone, Safari's user interface covers the bottom-most part of the page's content. I know this is a functionality of Safari, but was wonder if anyone had some ideas on what I could do on my end (maybe some specific mobile padding?) to work around this issue caused by mobile Safari's behavior.
  13. Site URL: https://www.wellfest.ie/ Hey all. A client has been complaining cookies banner appear every time on safari/iphone on a site. No matter if they accept it or not. Spent all day on this & after speaking to Squarespace support they've said it's a fault with Squarespace, that may or may not be fixed. This seems insane to me? If you have to accept cookies every time. But I can't de-activate as it will go against GPDR. It's a pretty embarrassing situation to be put in Just wondering has anyone else experienced this or found a solution. There could well be a hack to fi
  14. I recently added some new providers to my website. Everything looks like on a desktop. When the page is viewed on mobile devices, the providers pictures do not line up with their bios. Anyone know a fix for this? Here is the page where the issue occurs: https://commonsensemh.com/new-clients-csmh
  15. I have this issue where only on Safari I can nudge the content to the left with the content on the edge moved out of the browser window. In an effort to reduce the content to the bear minimum, I created the following page with no header, no footer and just a simple text block (sorry for the dark on dark - but it is readable). If you view this page on Safari, you can move it to the left so that the first two letters of the sentence leave the browser window. How can I stop that from happening? Here is the test page I'm using https://www.pfiphoto.com/test2 Thanks.
  16. The logo image file on my site suddenly stopped working, but only on Safari. The image loads fine in Chrome and Firefox. When I inspect the logo in Safari, it says there's an error loading the resource.
  17. When we load the website into the SS editor on two different Macs, using Safari under OSX Mojave, with no extensions, and using a private window, we see all these errors in the console. From a dialogue with SS support, Squarespace.net is an internal only website. So, why is the editor or my website trying to pull in these internal only resource files?
  18. Hi, I have complex product variants set up (small, medium and large) and then quantities (bundle of 100, bundle of 200 and so on) and I want to hide certain options from the quantities list and only display those relevant to the consumer. unfortunately squarespace doesn't allow this as standard. Here is my code (in a code block under "additional info" in the inventory product). This works fine in Chrome but not in Safari or iOS. In Safari the dropdown menus don't update to show the customer's choice (eg small, bundle of 100). Does anyone know what the issue in Safari is? <script type="te
  19. So I've asked the "Customer Care" team a few times about this issue. Site scrolls fine on desktop but on mobile it is choppy and jumps up and down as you go by different content. I've tried experimenting with parallax content on and off and other things, but it still happens. And quite frankly, just turning off parallax wouldn't be a "solution" really. So the answer I always get is, "We're aware of this, but no ETA on a fix." That's just not acceptable. So I'm posting this to see if anyone has had any success with any hack to improve how jumpy things are on mobile. We predominantly use Son
  20. Given following code injected into the page: var btn = document.querySelector("a[href=#testbtn]"); btn.addEventListener('click', function(){ window.open('https://google.com');}); It does not open new window. The click handler does get called. window.open returns null. Same piece of code tested with a simple html page works fine in same browser.
