  1. Hey guys, I have the following problem: My Slideshows looks great on desktop, but not as good on mobile, especially for portrait mode pictures. For landscape, it is fitting but the pictures in portrait mode are too small (high). I want them a bit bigger. Is there a possibility to do that? Please take a look on this homepage for instance (on mobile): www.tobiasholub.at Thanks for your help!Michi
  2. has anyone figured out how to have two different images in the header index image space so these 'responsive' templates actually work and look decent when viewing on different platforms. Hoping to have a landscape version of my header image viewed on desktop, and a portrait version for mobile and tablets. @Paul2009 you seem to be a wizard in this area ... any suggestions?
  3. Using the Jasper template. Here is the code I'm using: @font-face { font-family: "Metropolis"; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5d707e930fec5500014bea13/t/5d786e87913a06645e30fa5f/1568173704160/Metropolis-Medium.woff2), url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5d707e930fec5500014bea13/t/5d786e789da84f77dcfe024c/1568173688518/Metropolis-Medium.woff), url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5d707e930fec5500014bea13/t/5d786eaf9da84f77dcfe0813/1568173744007/Metropolis-Medium.otf);} header#header * { font-family: 'Metropolis' !important; font-size: 22px!important; } h1 { font-family: 'Metropolis' !important; font-size: 22px!important; }
  4. Hi everyone, Ive been unable to get a set of 3 images that appear side by side on desktop to show up on mobile in one row instead of stacked. Link to the site: https://sawfish-decagon-67am.squarespace.com/liquid-mind-- the gradient circles in the top right of the page on desktop show up side by side and i'd like them to appear the same way on mobile under the header. I tried multiple ways, but left 2 of the latest attempts on the page: 1. Using an image gallery. Its set to 3 images per row, but showing up as 2 images in a row, then the third on the next row on mobile. Some instances of this page will have 2 circles and others will have 3, so I am not sure that the gallery will work? 2. Trying to link the images together using the guides and even lines in order to view them as a set, but its not translating to mobile. Thanks so much in advance for your help!
  5. I've added a vertical line to one of my pages in my Five template. However I would like to add css to have it not show up on any mobile or responsive design view. is this possible?
  6. Hi all, Following a previous answer to my question I was able to remove in large part some of the white space which appeared to the right of my website when opened on a desktop: www.antoinesimonfineart.comThough after trying on additional monitors; mac and pc I have noticed especially on the mac desktop that there is still a lot of white space to the right. I have tried increasing the site width (as previously suggested) to the maximum but even that will was not sufficient on a mac desktop. I wondered if there is a way to make the page responsive to each pc so that it centers the page? Is this specific to the template (Wells) I am using perhaps? Perhaps by using a different template where the sidebar is positioned on the top as opposed to the left this would help center the website on different screens? Thank you!
  7. Looking for the best template for my site zachmattheus.com as the video is currently not responsive Just want the single video to work across desktop and mobile and have the small amount of text + contact.
  8. Hi, My webpage www.antoinesimonfineart.com appears very differently on mac and windows. While the page is very responsive on mobile and mac, it shows a lot of white space to the right of the screen on windows. I have tried playing with the padding but this does not seem to work. Any thoughts? Thank you,Best, Antoine
  9. Hello, I am having trouble fine-tuning my responsive container-embedded Facebook Feed. I am using the Impact (Brine) template on Squarespace. Problem: I want to make the container/feed both wider and taller on desktop view, but let it shrink responsively for smaller screens, tablets, and mobile devices. So far I have not been able to quite figure out how to both make it larger where I want it AND make it smaller where I want it without funky hidden overflow problems. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!! Vanessa Here is the page in question: https://www.oldgrowthforest.com/latest-news. Here is the code block code I have on that page: 1 <center>2 <div id="fb-root"></div>3 <script async defer crossorigin="anonymous" src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.3"></script>4 <div class="resp-container-fb">5 <div class="resp-facebook">6 7 8 <div class="fb-page" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/oldgrowthforestnetwork/" data-tabs="timeline" data-width="" data-height="1000" data-small-header="true" data-adapt-container-width="true" data-hide-cover="false" data-show-facepile="false"><blockquote cite="https://www.facebook.com/oldgrowthforestnetwork/" class="fb-xfbml-parse-ignore"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/oldgrowthforestnetwork/">Old Growth Forest Network</a></blockquote></div>9 </div>10 </div>11 </center> and here is the Custom CSS I have added regarding my container: 1 .resp-container-fb {2 position: relative;3 overflow: hidden;4 padding-top: 150%;5 }6 7 .resp-facebook {8 position: absolute;9 top: 0;10 left: 0;11 width: 100%;12 height: 100%;13 border: 0;14 15 } Sorry, I am also having trouble displaying this code properly!
  10. Hello, I need a bit of code so that the banner images on my pages are responsive proportionally. At the moment on the phone and I-Pad views, the banner image just crops rather than fits the whole image in. Can anyone help please! It would be much appreciated. Web address below: https://www.eattahini.co.uk/ Thanks

  13. Hi, I want to change the grid gallery padding at different @media queries/browser sizes, so when the browser and images shrink, so does the spacing between them. I scoured all the source files and can't figure out what controls that. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.
  14. Hey guys, I have an issue with making a responsive and mobile friendly website. Some images display too small and some images get too big and spill out on the edges. I am hoping to figure out some custom code to fix this issue since the images are a good size on the desktop version. Would really appreciate the help. The website in question is: beige.style Thanks so much in advance! @Paul2009 @justin1024@jasonbarone @eanderson @BrandonW
  15. Hi guys, i am working in Brine template. This is the URL: https://mauve-okra-yrme.squarespace.com/test-for-hero-module1. I am struggling really with this thing. I read a lot about it here and elsewhere but to no results: I managed to add CSS code to show certain sections on desktop but not on mobile. And vice versa. This works fine. On my page, there is an Index with TEST in the name. My trouble is the image I use for the "New-Page". I can't get it to show well in retina, and all other mobile devices... I tried max-width, height, 100% etc etc... I am lost.... It must be a simple short piece of code... I now added a 1500px wide image, ... don't worry about view on tablet for for ... I just need the full height to be shown.... also on retina... ThanksThomas
  16. It's the same size in all three versions, while the other elements scale down for mobile. I am using the Skye template. Thanks!
  17. Is there any other way to make the site responsive for both mobile and tablet without adding media queries. Square space claims to have responsive-design but it doesn't look proper in mobile and tablet view.
  18. My website: https://thrustinteractive.squarespace.com This sire looks good and has the appropriate white space on the sides of content on desktop, however when I look at the site in a mobile view elements are bunched together and the spacer blocks are lost. I am using the Brine template, is there any way to add code or have the spacer blocks that keep my site clean show up on mobile. It is keeping my website from being responsive and looking as good on mobile as it does on desktop. Thank you for your help!
  19. Does anyone know why my blog looks so odd on mobile? It is not responsive, and just crushes everything.
  20. Embedding it is simple enough. But that won’t work on smartphones or small devices quite well.
  21. Hi all, I'm looking for a way to integrate a responsive interactive map into my Moksha template. At this time I was only able to integrate it with an iframe. Please have a look at the map on this page. https://www.wantijhof.nl/woningaanbod On desktop it shows fine but please open the link on your mobile. You instantly notice this couldn't be more user UNfriendly. The map is build in Wordpress but I'm happy to use another tool/builder for the map, as long as it will be responsive on mobile. Hope to get some helpful responses! ;-) Thanks in advance guys!
  22. Hi all, I've been banging my head against the wall trying to re-size the images on my site for the bedford template. I've tried inserting css specific rules for mobile in the header of the page, but it doesn't seem to be working. The page can be found here - https://www.compassred.com/offering The images for Data Strategy & Readiness, Marketing Optimization, etc. are all MASSIVE on mobile Please help! Thanks, Alex
  23. Hi there, I've got most of my new site configured, see here: https://leopard-tarpon-zsj4.squarespace.com/ But, I want the website a certain width for all pages except the homepage, where I want the images to be a larger width. The site width is currently set to 1107px. I've tried the following CSS: #collection-5d17a6dd9030850001077782 { #canvas { width: 1500px; } #page { width: 1500px; } } This basically gives me the effect I want on the homepage, but is useless for mobile/tablet view (or if the user resizes their browser window) as it doesn't resize according to the display. Thanks a lot!
  24. My website is lexy.co.nz My homepage images are placed in a grid style gallery with 6 rows. When I view them on a mobile, it only shows 2 rows. I was wondering if there was a way to [in mobile] view more than 3 rows? The image files are 500 x 500px already and I've tried to see what would happen if the files were 100 x 100px but it didn't work. I'm not sure how big the mobile screen is and maybe I could make the image size the [mobile width] divided by [how many columns I want]? Much help appreciated!
  25. I've embedded a Google Form using a code block and it looks great on desktop, but isn't responsive on mobile. I've tried changing the width to (width="100%") but it doesn't change anything. It's frustrating because my squarespace site and the google form are both responsive on their own, but having it embedded isn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
