  1. Site URL: https://www.flexihouse.co.nz/ I would like to paste some code in a forms, POST-SUBMIT HTML section. So once the form is filled in, a different website open in a new tab. The simple POST-SUBMIT REDIRECT does not work for this as it opens in the current tab. Any help much apprectiated.
  2. After a site visitor submits their email in my form, I would like it to read "Thank you for signing up. Continue to my website HERE (linked)." However, I am only able to include basic text in the post-form submission message, not a hyperlink to my homepage. I realize I can use the built in Squarespace feature to redirect them automatically to any page, but I find this is confusing because as the user, it is very unclear if your submission was successful without the post submission Thank you message. Is this achievable?
  3. Hi there - I have a podcast audience and I want to tell them to type in www.mywebsite.com/survey. The survey sits on an external site, and I want that URL to just redirect straight to that survey page - I don't want them to have to click over from my website. How do I do this? Thanks :)
  4. Site URL: http://martindudekphoto.com I want to redirect a page that exists in my squarespace account: /portfolio/uganda/ to another page that exists as well: /work/uganda/ That doesn't work, the redirect is being ignored and /portfolio/uganda/ shown as normal. Apparently I can only redirect not existing pages, what can I do to fix that? Context: The reason is, I have 2 different portfolio pages: one with my whole portfolio (8 items) and one that I have as my home page (just 3 items), because I want to use the "hover: background" functionality, but not for the entire 8 items.
  5. Site URL: https://leivaloans.com/ Hey guys, been having some trouble as I want to run some ads and have my website as my landing page. The problem is that I want people to be directed to my "contact me" section, but it's not a separate page. The way I understand it is I need a url slug to create an anchor link. My website is just 1 full page with added sections. My question is can I redirect people directly to my contact section without having to create a new page for it or do I have to make a new page and link that (to create the url slug to then create the anchor link) ? Is there a way to duplicate a section if I have to redo the section into a page? Thanks, David
  6. Site URL: https://mcad-grad-exhibit.squarespace.com Hello, I have created a website with multiple individual pages that are each using a summary block to pull in graduates by category (this website is for a college graduation exhibit). Each graduates category is their major and the season they graduated. I would like to use the individual pages as the category pages because currently the link .../[blog name]/category/[category name] is uncontrollable visually. I want to use the individual pages so that for each major it says the major at the top of the page. Also the summary block I'm using has Lazy Summaries which allows me to view up to 100 grads. See an category page here: https://mcad-grad-exhibit.squarespace.com/graduates/category/Animation You can see that it says nothing at the top. I could add "Graduates" but if someone clicked on a major under one of the students names, it might be confusing if it doesn't say the major. See the individual page I made here: https://mcad-grad-exhibit.squarespace.com/animation You can see that it says "Animation" at the top. Ideally I would like to redirect the category slug to the simple slug I've created, the pages using the summary blocks. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. PW: grad2020
  7. Site URL: https://star-pufferfish-4sy4.squarespace.com/config/pages Hi, I would like to know how to redirect my "Add to cart" button on my products page to my Etsy shop? I dont have a commerce plan so I don't want to have a cart. My website is not published yet but here is the url www.shopsimpul.com Thank you very much for your help!
  8. Hi, I am close to completing my client's site - yay! - and now need to put in place the necessary processes to make sure their old site points to this new site. Their existing site is in a completely different name. I have asked my client's IT guy to create a list of page URLs for the existing site. This is my 1st build so the questions I have are: - Do I have to connect the existing site to the new one on Squarespace to allow URL redirects to happen? (or transfer the domain after the new site is live, to say my client paying for 2 hosting fees) and when should I do that. Once a connection is done, is the old site then unaccessible? - At what point do I paste in the URL redirect summary (I am OK setting that spreadsheet up) into Advanced settings in Squarespace - after the site goes live? - How does Google know to point the old site to the new site if they are in completely different domain names and we only use the end part of the URL slug name?! Your help is really appreciated! Thanks.
  9. Site URL: https://ar-go.live/events I am trying to implement this code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsLZGk4W47w code starts at 3:08. I am coming up with a problem implementing in in sqaurespace. Could you help? I added this to my main header code right under my memebrstack API code: <script> // sets the url of the page you're on localStorage.setItem('locat', location.href); </script> I created a "success" page that the login and sign up for a membership redrecit to. On that page in the header (which is all I can access on squarespace), I added the code: <script> window.location = localStorage.getItem('locat'); </script> Then when I login, I get an infinite loop going on. Can you see what I may have done wrong? Thank you! Riley
  10. Site URL: https://orderbvi.com/bvi-contact-tracing-1 I am looking to direct users based on the form field they choose on the drop down. For example: Users need to choose which Dining Outlet they are visiting (Dining Room/Corks/Tavern/Lobby Bar). Based on their answer, upon submission, I want to direct them to the page for that specific Dining Outlet. So if they choose Tavern, it would then direct them to orderbvi.com/tavern-patio. How would I go about doing that? You can view the website at: https://orderbvi.com/bvi-contact-tracing-1 and use the password SSHELP. Thank you in advance!
  11. I noticed that a URL that was redirected with utm parameters in the URL had the utm parameters stripped during the redirect. Are there any settings to tell squarespace to pass on any URL/UTM parameters to the destination link? Thanks, Jannette
  12. Hello, I'm changing domain name and have been 301 all of the old pages to my new website. The only one I can't do is the homepage 301 as I have to disable the homepage which isn't possible without setting another one. Can anyone help?
  13. Site URL: https://www.treatyoakdistilling.com/ I am trying to create a custom form that will redirect users to different landing pages based on the selection they make. The form is a drop down asking visitors to select their state. I would like the form to re-direct them to a specific landing page based on which state they selected. Help!
  14. Hi, I have rebranded my business and have a new URL with new content. When I do a 301 redirect from my old URL I want a pop up message telling customers they have been redirected to new site (eg: This is our new page, formerly....) It would be great if it were a one time pop up when someone first lands on the page from the old URL. I know it can be done but not sure how?? Thanks, David
  15. Site URL: https://bwo.life/org/comm/rss.xml Hi - I'm switching my site to squarespace and all the redirects worked fine except for an RSS feed redirect that ends with .xml. Is there any way to redirect that or is there something else I need to be doing with that page? Here's the page where it actually lives and where I need to be able to redirect to: https://bwo.life/org/comm/rss.xm UPDATE: I figured it out and would just have erased this post, but can't figure that out. The fix was taking off the /rss.xml in the first part of the redirect (the old URL). Who woulda thunk it?
  16. Once I have navigated to these pages from my home page, the header Icons are disabled and I do not know how to redirect to these tabs locations as they don't work. I should mention that my website is a one page scroll style so the majority is all on one page (home page) and the header icons are simply links down to the location on my one page scroll style home page, I just don't know how to redirect back to these from the pages which are "not linked" /not on the home page. I have attached pictures so you can get an understanding of my layout. The stem mix and master page is a "not linked" page and the only tabs at the top that work are "home" and "store". In the store page, the only tab that works is again "home". Just need to know how I can get all the tabs to be clickable and redirect to their location on the home page. Thanks, Jack.
  17. Site URL: http://bscleverage.com Because the stores on my site are for separate services I need them to redirect to separate webpages after the payment is made how can I accomplish this? I offer two types of services. Therefore, upon order confirmation I need my site to send clients to two separate intake/thank you pages so that all of the information directs to the correct team for their set-up process
  18. Hello. Anyone know of a way to place a link onto a page to an app such as CashApp or Venmo? For example, you're scrolling through the site and it says "CashApp." You then click on the words and it opens up the CashApp application on your phone. Also, not the thread for this but figured I'd put it out there. Anyone know how to place a Join Button wherever you like on a page that will link to a registration form on another page? Thanks in advance for the help.
  19. I have an events page that is used to hold posts, and the posts are displayed on a separate page. When you enter and exit a post on the separate page, though, it boots you back to the page I don't want to be seen. Is there a way to redirect it to automatically end up at a different page? Any suggestions help! Thanks!
  20. I've seen a similar question asked around the forums, but I think my situation is a little more complicated which is why I haven't gotten anything to work correctly. I am also using the Skye template. I have two blogs, and for each blog I have set a unique logo in the header. Ideally, I'd like each unique logo to direct to a specific blog post. For example, the Wild Moon logo, when clicked, should go to the "Welcome to Wild Moon" post. I'm not sure how to implement a different link around the new logo, if it's even possible. The logo code is in the header section as such -
  21. Site URL: https://pumpkin-marlin-3wxs.squarespace.com/ Hi there, Still learning, but slowly getting the hang of CSS with help from these forums. I'm building a new website for my employer. I've set it up so we have a landing page, smooth-scrolls neatly down to three columns. It's perfect on desktop, but the three-column page looks way less ideal on mobile. The images are too compressed. I'd rather have a vertical stack of the logos & images.... like this> = I started playing around with the css so that it would hide the column 'sections' on mobile view only, and smooth scrolls down to another section of the page - but it's pretty messy, and I don't want to take the risk of it misbehaving. Wondering if it's possible to make another landing page just for mobile only, and have the website automatically redirect you there if you're on a mobile device? https://pumpkin-marlin-3wxs.squarespace.com/ Password: breathetest
  22. Site URL: https://www.%20anybodysautos.squarespace.com My website is going to showcase a gallery of featured vehicles from local car dealerships. What happens if the dealer sells that vehicle and takes down their product page? I'm betting that they don't actually delete those pages, but I can't count on them having their own redirect. Is there some kind of code that I can use on my website to avoid a 404 error when my link is about to take a viewer to my client's deleted page? Ideally, a viewer would click on a gallery image on my website, and if it's about to go to a deleted page on the dealer's website, the code would bypass a 404 error and take them to the dealership homepage. Thanks for any suggestions! p.s. You need a password if you visit my site: AutoSales
  23. Site URL: http://www.biruvia.com Hello, I have what I thought should be a fairly easy task, but I can't find anything in the forwarding/pointing/redirecting articles in square space that covers this specifically. Here is what I'd like to do: Point/Forward/Redirect "swamimosa.com" to "biruvia.com/swamimosa" Both domains are managed through Squarespace and the website "biruvia.com" is hosted through Squarespace. I've gone into advanced settings for "swamimosa.com" and followed the instructions for adding a preset for "Forward Domain." I then add the URL "biruvia.com/swamimosa", but the website doesn't forward. If I set the Forward Domain from "swamimosa.com" to "biruvia.com" it does work, but I want to forward to a subdomain instead of a domain. How can I do this? Thanks!
  24. Site URL: https://sparkotechengineering.squarespace.com Password: customer 123 Good day, so I have my code which the function is to hide the price, quantity, Add to cart button and add a button to redirect it to Contact Us page. My concern is my code doesnt apply in my quick view page it only applies in the product page of the product item. ***Note: My main goal is to change the redirection of the "Add to cart button" into another page (Contact Us) but due to my beginner skills thats the only code that i produced. <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.0/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(function() { $("<a class='ordernow' href='/contact'>Request Now</a>").insertAfter(".sqs-add-to-cart-button-wrapper"); }); </script> <style> .product-quantity-input { display:none !important; } </style> <style> .ProductItem-details .sqs-add-to-cart-button-wrapper .sqs-add-to-cart-button { display:none !important; } </style> <style> .ProductItem .ProductItem-details .product-price { display:none !important; } </style> reference pictures: PIC 1 = product page PIC 2 = quick view
  25. Site URL: https://travellingtom.com/blog/5-best-places-to-stay-lake-district-staycation I have posted a link on a blog post on my website (https://travellingtom.com/blog/5-best-places-to-stay-lake-district-staycation - can be seen in second paragraph), but when I click it instead of it going to: https://uk.hotels.com/re1634621/hotels-in-lake-district-united-kingdom It goes through to the following. https://uk.hotels.com/re1634621/hotels-in-lake-district-united-kingdom?rffrid=aff.hcom.uk.002.003.2470763.cjaff.kwrd%3Dd6d10af4c07b11ea815a033d0a180513.CID%3D1556897.TYPE%3D416023&wapa6=kcc8p22giv02jhd40mydl&sub_publisher=2470763&sub_site=4003003&sub_ad=13831060 The post is for a brand who want a clean link, but for some reason it keeps clicking through to an affiliate link (and not one that I have added, either). Any ways I can fix this so that when I head through the URL stays as the first one?
