  1. Hi, (not sure if this is the right ofrum to post this; if not I apologize) I have set up my site www.jfschmitz.com on Squarespace for a while. I now want to set up the e-commerce to sell prints. I would like to point another domain to this shop page. Something like "www.fineartphoto-shop.com" that would redirect to "www.jfschmitz.com/shop". Is that possible? Thnx for your advise, JF
  2. Hi, I'm trying to reorder the categories from my shop page. I know that by default it's alphabetized but is there a code that I can use to fix this? I've already tried a few and it hasn't worked. Here's the link to the website I'm working on: https://arvin-lee.squarespace.com/config#/|/ For instance I'd like to change the order of the categories to: 1. Hair 2. Wig 3. Hair Care 4. Nail 5. General Mechanics
  3. Hi there, How do I set a minimum order quantity per product variant? (f.e. if they select variant 2, the minimum number of products they can buy = 25) I'm already looking for a solution for days, but just don't know how. Hail to the King that has a solution!🤴 Cheers - Luc
  4. Hi All, I am selling prints, and would like to disable the auto-zoom on each individual product so the buyer can see a bigger scale rendition of the print they are buying. My template does not have an option to disable autozoom on images. I am using Lange. I was able to make this happen on the main products page using the code below: .ProductList-outerImageWrapper { position: static; padding-bottom: 0px !important; } .ProductList-innerImageWrapper { position: static; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; } .ProductList-image { width: 100% !important; height: auto !important; top: 0px !important; position: static !important; Unfortunately I'm not savvy enough to get that to apply to the individual product. Here is a link to a good example of an image that is being cropped: https://www.fantasiummedia.com/prints/stars-over-lake-atitlan Offering a print of your choice at cost for anyone that can help!
  5. Hi Experts! I would like to add an accordion menu on the product pages, so that the menu sits below the Product Title and Price and above the Add To Cart. At the moment, I can add it to the Additional Comments section using the mark-down block and these instructions https://fallonmade.com/blog/accordion-dropdown-squarespace-css, but it's too disconnected. I would like a similar look to how it's been done here https://www.net-a-porter.com/au/en/product/1208675/anderson_s/textured-leather-belt I'm using the Brine template. https://grey-turbot-sygy.squarespace.com/config/pages Thank-you! 6. So I am currently doing a website for a client who wanted to use squarespace. The site is a meal prep store which sells daily meals for customers. Basically the functionality I need to achieve is this: The user clicks on food menu > they are taken to a page with 3 options for 1 meal a day, 2 meals a day or 3 meals a day > they are then taken to a page which says what would like for day 1? then shows them a few dozen meals. They select 1, 2 or 3 meals (depending on which option they picked in the previous step) and then click next and are given the same for the next 4 days one after another until finally the checkout button and the end of the funnel. I realise this might be difficult to achieve. So far I am using a normal page for the first step with them selecting 1, 2 or 3 meals a day. Its the next step that is confusing me. Do I link them to a product view page and create the meals as attributes somehow or do I link them to listing pages with the meals as products. If anyone has any ideas I could use some help on this one
  7. I am trying to achieve a product page similar to the one here: https://drewdoggett.com/shop/titans He is using woocommerce for his cart (I looked at the source code). I would like to achieve three things which he is doing: (1) A Visual Product Variant selection; (2) Product Image updates with variant selection; and (3) Product Variants show/hide and are selectable/not selectable based on other variants previously chosen. I know for (1) there is this plugin for a visual variant from these guys: https://www.sqspthemes.com/plugins/product-swatch-variant I know for (2) there is a plugin for updating image based on variants: https://www.sqspthemes.com/plugins/change-product-image-with-variant I don't know how to achieve number three while also achieving the first two goals and/or whether these plugins would be able to "talk" to any code I write to achieve number three. The problem is I need certain drop-downs or product choices to reveal themselves based on other selections. I can't have each product variant always available because not all choices may be purchasable. For example, you cannot purchase a Plexiglass print with a frame or a mat but those options are still available to the customer because they are tied to white and black frame options. This means a customer has to sit there and work out what is actually available or not and choose the right combination to add something to the cart. Terrible UX. I also don't want to do a single drop-down with a list of every size and product variant available because it would be a list of over 50 options for each artwork. I have uploaded a screenshot snippit of my product list as a hint to how complex this gets... There are 11 variations per print size and 4 or 5 print sizes per artwork... And each variant depends on another variant selected... Is there another plug-in or code to help me get to where I want to go?
  8. I would like to use the product pages on my site to display my products, but because I am not actually selling online, I need to hide the following elements: Add to Cart button Quantity area Price
  9. Existing Business account with Rally template: When I add a 'Products' page (for training, development, and future use) to my existing site (www.taitdesign.com), in the 'Not Linked' section, and with the page not enabled, "CART (0)" shows up in my navigation bar. I don't want the cart to appear until the page is active. It may not be active for weeks/months. How can I 'turn off' the visibility of the Cart in the navigation bar while the 'store' is in development? I've currently deleted the Products page to keep it from appearing which is pointless. Test: I did open my site on a different computer and different browser (not signed into Squarespace account) and "CART (0)" was visible. Sidebar: If one were to sell photography on one's Product page and send the order to a 'fulfillment house' to print, frame, ship to, and invoice buyer — can anyone recommend a few services?
  10. Hello, The Add to Cart button on the product page is invisible unless hovered over. The cart button is visible, until you add a product, then it disappears. It does not become visible when hovered over, yet is still clickable through to the cart page. Thank you
  11. I have imported about 30 products into my inventory from Etsy. Now I do not see any way to add them to a Product $ page? I have watched several SquareSpace videos and they do not answer this question as far as I can tell.I would really really appreciate some help. Something that should be really easy and it is not. I am fairly savvy and have used Woocommerce and Wordpress and thie setup on Squarespace is not very intuitive so far. Support at Squarespace has been unhelpful, and would really appreciate any help I can get, thank you.
  12. Hi, why does product Quick View strip the formatting? Eg, if you click Quick View on the Franke A600 product here;https://ignite-coffee.squarespace.com/products?category=Super+Automatics it's a jumbled mess. Shouldn't it look a snapshot of the actual excerpt?? (see attached screenshot); Love your product Squarespace..but this seems to have been a recurring issue for a couple of years now.
  13. How do I hide the quantity button on products? In our case, visitors would only purchase one of an item but multiple visitors may buy the same item. Any suggestions?
  14. Hi everyone. I'm trying to add a little text block in our shop page. The shop page doesnt allow you to add text blocks for whatever reason... The SS technician suggested I post on here as she said it might be possible with a code, but as we know SS dont deal with codes, so it's something I must figure out! Any help appreciated!
  15. Hey hello! Any skilled ones out here who knows how to translate the following texts that appearsstraight after adding a product in the shopping cart: "adding..." and "added!". https://turtle-heptagon-6kbh.squarespace.com/config/settings Greetings :)
  16. We're using custom CSS in the Maple template to make a parallax hero image on the home page that takes up the entire height of the screen: #hero-banner, .Parallax-host .Parallax-item { height: 100vh; } However, that CSS is forcing our product pages to have a bunch of empty white space at the top. I'm hoping we can use Code Injection to disable that CSS just on the Product pages. Please help!
  17. I have product ratings showing on my product pages - but I want them to show on my main sales page - as in this example from another store https://grasslandbeef.com/steaks
  18. My issues: A. When you choose a name from the variant drop-down, the large image on the product's page will not change until the size is selected. For a user/visitor to an online store selling a product or products via use of visual content of one kind or another, the logical steps would be: 1 The user/visitor makes their purchase from first seeing and choosing from an image of the product they like/want rather than from reading, at this stage in the purchasing process, names from the text of a variant drop down; 2 The name of any particular product is only relevant after the user/visitor has clicked the thumbnail image of the product they like/choose. That choice is then clearly confirmed, to the user/visitor, by the large image changing on the product page to the image of the product they liked/chose from the thumbnails AND by the variant drop down changing to the name of that particular chosen product; 3 After making their choice of product and seeing it confirmed in the large image window and by the name of the product in the variant drop down, the user/visitor then selects the size of the product they want. B. When you choose an image from the thumbnail images, the name in the variant drop-down does not currently change until the name is selected manually in the drop-down. • After the user/visitor chooses the product they like from the thumbnail images, it is not possible for him/her to manually select the name of the product in the variant drop down because they do not necessarily know what the name of the product is. Proposed Solution: When the user/visitor clicks the thumbnail image of the product they like/choose, both the large image on the product page AND the name on the variant drop down automatically change to that of the particular chosen product. Enquiry: Can a member of this forum, or a Squarespace specialist with experience using the platform, share any workarounds and tools you have discovered whilst modifying your own site, to implement my proposed solution, or suggest another solution? Thank you
  19. 20. What we want to do with this website is to have a products page where it simply lists the name, weight, and price, with a button to learn more and a button to add to cart. Imagine it like a simple menu at a restaurant. The UI it has for entering new products in looks exactly like what we want. Any ideas?
  21. Hi, I'm using the Aubrey Template and see that I can add the code block to add the SendOwl 'add to cart' button in the 'additional info' section of the SqS product detail page, however, it puts it pretty low on the page on desktop and in mobile it's worse as I do have other additional info elements to display and keeping the button on the right side is making it appear last. Is there a way to add the code block within the product details text block? There are no 'handles' to insert it, at least in my template. Would appreciate any guidance. Thank you!
  22. My .sqs-product-quick-view-content is non responsive and out of scale. Need help making it work in developer mode.
  23. I am using the Ishimoto template: Although the product page displays an “ADD TO CART” button, I need to add an additional button directly below this one that says “CHECKOUT”, and I need it to be identical (if possible) to the add to cart button. I do realize that once a customer adds an item to the cart, the Squarespace template will then automatically display a “cart” button floating at the top of the page. However, I still need to add my own checkout button so that I can send customers to a page with more instructions before they go to the cart. ANY help appreciated, I think I’m on the right track because I already have the following code, but I know the positioning code here is not going to align it directly under the ADD TO CART button like I need it to (because I need for my CHECKOUT button to automatically align itself with the add to cart button no matter what the browser window size is, etc): <style> .checkoutbutton { background-color: #292929; text-indent: 0; display: inline-block; color: #fff; font-color: #fff; font-family: arial; font-size: 12px; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; height: 50px; line-height: 50px; width: 250px; text-decoration: none; text-align: center; } .checkoutbutton:hover { background-color: #292929; font-color: #fff; } .checkoutbutton:active { position: relative; top: 1px; color: #fff; } </style> <p align="right"><a href="/pagelink" class="checkoutbutton">CHECKOUT >></a></p>
  24. I am currently using the HYDE template and all the other recommended CSS solutions given are not compatible with my template: https://www.houseofink.studio/shop-onlineIs there another possible css code injection I could use. Additionally, I have been able to get the pixel border to work on other pages: https://www.houseofink.studio/tattoo-studio
  25. This just started. There is a place holder image but all details are gone. When I add inventory, the page comes back. I have expensive products that take longer to get and hold. I have a tag that says longer lead time when there is no inventory.
