  1. I'm using an index page and would like to layer my second page into the header. Anyone know code for how to do so?? It's a common practice I see online so perhaps I'm using the wrong vocabulary but it looks like they do negative padding. Here is a link to a website that does this: https://modernadventure.com/our-trips/yucatan-claudette-zepeda-2015clz0101/
  2. Hi all, Following a previous answer to my question I was able to remove in large part some of the white space which appeared to the right of my website when opened on a desktop: www.antoinesimonfineart.comThough after trying on additional monitors; mac and pc I have noticed especially on the mac desktop that there is still a lot of white space to the right. I have tried increasing the site width (as previously suggested) to the maximum but even that will was not sufficient on a mac desktop. I wondered if there is a way to make the page responsive to each pc so that it centers the page? Is this specific to the template (Wells) I am using perhaps? Perhaps by using a different template where the sidebar is positioned on the top as opposed to the left this would help center the website on different screens? Thank you!
  3. I am using a custom font for my client's website, and incorporated it into the website using a Code Block. However, I am having issues with a ton of spacing around each code block and I can't figure out how to get rid of it! It's causing some spacing issues on the desktop site, but especially on mobile - creating huge gaps between the code blocks and other text/image blocks, making it look not so great. See screenshots below (the scripted text is the code block). Desktop is the first image, and mobile is the second. I've tried a few different codes targeting the padding of the code blocks, but nothing seems to do the trick to fix this issue. Any CSS or HTML suggestions?? Greatly appreciated!!! 4. Is there a way to remove padding inside of a code block? I've inserted an image using a Code block and want the block to fit snug around the image itself, but I'm getting an extra padding on all sides. Here is a link to the site for reference Password: weddings This is the code I currently tried to use: .sqs-block-code .sqs-block-content { padding-top: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; } Any help would be much appreciated!
  5. i am using the lange template and would like to restrict the amount of images to three per row, no matter the size of browser window the viewer has. Is there a solution or code that I can use to fix this? Thank you
  6. I am trying to change the padding on a div in the Rally theme to be more mobile-responsive (currently when on mobile, the large padding forces the text off the edge of the page (see first screenshot), whereas I want a centered div (see second screenshot). I've put this JS code into my code injection but to no avail; I've been reading that code injection does not work on Index pages, so am thinking that might be the issue. Any advice on what to do? Following is the code (which works fine in Chrome DevTools): <script> if (screen.width <= 640){ var box = document.getElementsByClassName('newsletter-form-wrapper newsletter-form-wrapper--layoutFloat newsletter-form-wrapper--alignCenter'); for (var i=0; i<= box.length; i++){ box[i].style.padding = "50px"; } } </script>
  7. Hi, My webpage www.antoinesimonfineart.com appears very differently on mac and windows. While the page is very responsive on mobile and mac, it shows a lot of white space to the right of the screen on windows. I have tried playing with the padding but this does not seem to work. Any thoughts? Thank you,Best, Antoine
  8. Hello! I am working on this site: https://rectangle-gecko-tryt.squarespace.com (password is: test) This site uses the York template. We have a markdown block that contains an embedded catalogue. It looks great on the desktop breakpoint. However, the padding is huge on the mobile and tablet breakpoints. I have been looking on here for tips on how to tighten the padding around/within a markdown block but everything I see on here seems to apply to images or other block types. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in advance!
  9. On mobile the site seems to shift around if I swipe left to right, almost like the dimensions are meant for a different sized screen... It even gets stuck with about 30px padding off the right side of the screen and leaves a white space that disrupts the entire layout and makes things move around... what's the issue?? My site is www.amativecreative.com if you'd like to look. Template is Burke. Thanks!
  10. Hello, I would like to control the amount of white space in the top of my site. The Wells template only lets me control the right side and top padding at the same time. Is there a way i can control the top padding only? Link to my site: guana-avocado-le77.squarespace.com Also: I would like to know how to change the font size og the site title, also here Wells seems to have a fixed maximum size. I would also like to change the font color for only the drop down menus in the sidebar, is there a code for this? Thanks!!
  11. Hi, I want to change the grid gallery padding at different @media queries/browser sizes, so when the browser and images shrink, so does the spacing between them. I scoured all the source files and can't figure out what controls that. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.

  13. I'm looking for the CSS code to control the padding between image blocks (or possibly between all blocks). I've tried combinations of these with margin or padding, and nothing changes. .sqs-block.image-block { margin-top: 100px !important; padding-bottom: 100px !important; } Thanks.
  14. On a basic (blank) page (with image blocks and text), is there a way to adjust the top margin so it starts lower? I don't want to add a spacer block because it's too big. Alternatively, I could add a margin to the h1, which is at the top of the page. I tried: h1 {margin-top: 30px;} and h1 {padding-top: 30px;} and neither worked. Thanks.
  15. Brine template, site: https://intro.inkindspace.com I am happy with the padding around the text blocks, site-wide. But, when I add an image, summary block, etc. they seem to settle wider than the text itself. Can I apply a site-wide padding or margin that will also apply to summary, image blocks, etc? For ex. see the image in this post: https://intro.inkindspace.com/nutrition/immediate-diet-changes Thanks!
  16. Hi there,So I want to reduce the padding only for mobile, reduce padding above and below header/logo, the top and bottom padding of the main content section (horizontal line and everything below it). I might also need to reduce the top/bottom padding around the horizontal line as well. Can anyone help me with the custom CSS? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Working out of West template. 17. Currently I'm using the Fulton template and everything is great except I don't like how narrow the editing area is. If I want to stretch a text box as wide as possible, it only goes up to border of the editable area which fills up about a third of the page whereas other templates such as Sonora have a much wider editing area that go almost up to the edge of the website. I think it could be fixed with CSS but I don't really have any experience there. Please help!
  18. I've removed the image block padding, but I would like to also remove the padding around the gallery block (However, I do not care about the image formatting within the gallery). Basically I want to eliminate any padding between an inserted image block and an inserted gallery block.I am using the Supply template.
  19. Does anyone know the name of the (index) gallery container to which I can change the padding in Custom CSS? To replace the .xxx below .xxx {padding-left, padding-right: 40px;} I have a site padding of 40px and a padding between index gallery images of 20px.So the gallery sticks out by 20px more than the header and the rest of the site content.(If I put down no side padding for the index gallery in the style editor, then the gallery will stick out by 40px). I could also apply the padding to the gallery page, instead of the gallery image container. Using Brine, but I'm not sure it matters.
  20. Hi, I'm running the Ishimoto Template and my homepage is a gallery page as I'm a photographer. Is there a way to add a space between each image in the gallery which is horizontal on desktop? On mobile it would be nice to have a space between each photo when in portrait view? Thanks for helping.
  21. Hello. I am using the Miller template and I have created a full bleed gallery grid block on one of the index pages. The website is: https://chinchilla-shallot.squarespace.com and the password is: Testing The top and bottom borders/spacing/padding are acceptable enough on a desktop: However, on a mobile there is too much border/spacing/padding above and below the gallery block: No matter what I try, I just can't seem to reduce it. I have tried lots of different things including all of the following gallery css variations, but nothing seems to work, or it just messes other regular image blocks up on the website. @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) { .sqs-gallery-design-grid-slide .sqs-block.gallery-block .sqs-block-gallery .sqs-block { padding: 0px !important; } } And also: @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) { .sqs-block.gallery-block { padding-top: 0px !important; padding-bottom: 0px !important; padding-left: 0px !important; padding-right: 0px !important; } .sqs-layout .sqs-row .sqs-block:first-child { padding-top: 0px !important; } .sqs-layout .sqs-row .sqs-block:last-child { padding-bottom: 0px !important; } } This is getting really frustrating that I can't seem to fix it, so I would really appreciate any help to resolve this issue. I just want the gallery blocks to be full bleed on both desktop and mobile, with no unnecessary padding, without affecting any other blocks or image blocks elsewhere on the website or on other index pages. Thank you for your help.
  22. Hi -- on my home page www.jaapw.com I'm trying to: 1. align the text of title, tagline and navigation with the image block below it (left + right side); 2. increase padding above the site title; and 3. reduce padding between site title and tag line. If anyone has CSS code for these, would love to use it, thanks a lot.
  23. Hello fine Squarespace experts, I'm swapping Five for Brine and I'm loving it. Mostly. Here's the issue: I am using, and liking, the inset feature, BUT I still want to have white space on the sides of the page when I am doing side-by-side text or image blocks. Problem: when I turn on "Site Padding" to accomplish the white space (currently at 50px), that site padding affects my gallery images, but I want to have FULL WIDTH galleries. I've thought about this from many angles and since I have less galleries than any other blocks, it seems to make sense to override the site padding on galleries. I've tried to insert snippets of code found here and around the web, but nothing seems to work. Ideally what I'm hoping for is a global setting in Custom CSS, since there will never be a time where I dont want gallery images to appear full width. I know I can do this with index pages, but some of these have to live as part of navigation sets, so that cant be a solution across the board. Help much appreciated :)Maria PS: The site currently is preview only since I'm revamping an existing website. Hence no reference links. If it's necessary, I can duplicate a page or two.
  24. Hello, I have created a website for my blog using the Skye template. I am happy with how my website looks on desktop but my the white padding around my logo completely disappears in mobile view so much so that it covers my images on my blog posts. Also some of the images at the top of each blog post also do not stretch to fit the width of the screen like they do on desktop and the titles on each blog post are not centered in the middle in mobile view. It also looks like the font is bigger in mobile view. This is my site: https://www.steelyvan.co.uk Please view the site on desktop and mobile to see the differences. I would like it to look as close to the desktop view as possible but I am very new to coding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Jess
  25. Hey, I've recently started re-creating my site in Squarespace 7.1 (and I'm enjoying it so far) But I've run into a problem, my header has too much padding. I have reduced it using the area within the builder but it's still too large (I don't want to reduce logo size). On my other site i use this code to reduce padding... .header-inner { padding:0!important; } But no luck in this version.... any chance someone can help?
