  1. I sell services to schools in the UK and its extremely rare that a school will pay for a service with a credit card or PayPal. I like the products page and Squarespace but the inability to automate bookings is holding my business back. Most UK schools request an invoice before making a BACS payment. How can I take orders/bookings for my services without charging or by bypassing checkout? I have seen the work around for charging services for free but this will cause confusion and I certainly don't want schools receiving invoices suggesting they don't have to pay. Any solutions? Anything being worked on? I'd love to be able to process payments like a shop but that's just not the way the education sector does things and that won't be changing anytime soon. Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Antony
  2. I am currently using Printique print to order services for my artwork, but I have some items that don't fit their default sizes and Printique tries to crop them. I have emailed them about this with no response yet. Are there any other PTO services that integrate with Squarespace ( other than Printful ) where you can define a custom print size of the item for sale? Thanks!
  3. Our store policy is for orders to be placed by 3:00pm of the current day for next day pickup or delivery. Currently our website allows for orders to be placed up until 11:59pm for next day service. Is it possible to have the 3:00pm time frame incorporated into our site for shutting off orders for the following day?
  4. Hi all, I feel a bit stupid asking this but I've gone round in circles trying to find the answer. Is it possible to customize the text sent in the order confirmation when you have two or more of the same product or service type? (Version 7.1) I can see that you can customize to add text for each product type, but can you add further customization within that type? For example, if I sell two different digital products (e.g. an ebook and an online course), can I customize the order confirmation email so when a person purchases the ebook, they receive a specific message and link to the download, and another person purchasing the course would receive a different message with a different link? Essentially what I'm trying to do is avoid having to manually send a follow up email every time someone purchases something. I feel like there is an expectation that people receive digital goods instantly these days. Perhaps if there's no option for customising the order confirmation, is there a way to automate a secondary email for each different product? Hoping someone can help me. Thank you in advance!

  6. Hi, I'd like to create an extension that interacts with carts. Essentially, I want to be able to make API calls out to an external service when a user adds or removes items from a cart. I've noticed that there are no APIs in SquareSpace to interact with carts before orders are placed. I'd like to find a way to get this information. Does anyone know if there is any possible way to do this? At this point, I'm pretty new to SquareSpace, so I don't know even what I don't know. I think I want to build an extension that can somehow interact with cart data, but I don't even see much documentation about building extensions. Is there any info out there about extension development? Thanks for any help you can give!

Hello, If my website is going to offer a monthly subscription that allows customers to subscribe and receive cupcakes once a month, how would I track the orders of the cupcakes I sent out monthly? I understand Squarespace will send notifications of customer subscription renewals but what about the cupcakes I send out to each subscribed customer monthly? Will it have to be tracked manually?

I had 2 customers already that ordered and didn't get the confirmation e-mail of their order, but I have received their order on my end fine. Both users use @gmail.com and @outlook.com I do understand there prob are heaps of ways for my email to be in spam/junk or not even getting it with settings on their end. I don't do campaigns, I don't spam customers. Just wondering, is there a way to know if my business email could be counted as spam or junk?

There's a glitch with the font where it looks like "Order ConOrmed". I have no idea why this is happening, and I am not attached to having the heading 1 font for this page. How do I change the font or fix this issue? I tried changing this text to heading 2 in the custom-css but I think I did it wrong because it has not changed. Any help is appreciated!

So basically there are 2 thank you pages for each specific course the other course has just 3 schedules thats why its a products. I know it need some code injection and just specify some order ID.   13. I saw many people asking, but no real answers. Can the folks at squarespace please add the JSON vars to your documentation? How can I specify a physical product in the order confirmation email so that I can say something specific about each product when someone orders it?Thanks.
  14. Our nonprofit website sells memberships that can be purchased via a monthly subscription (built into our commerce site as a subscription service). The challenge lies in the fact that every month when each individual monthly subscription renews every month, we (as well as the purchaser) receive a "New Order" notification email. This looks exactly the same as a genuine New Order and there is no way to easily differentiate between the two. Our volunteers have to compare the name/email address within the order to our current member list to determine if this is in fact a New Order or actually a renewal disguised as one. This is tedious and time consuming... and seems so unnecessary! I'm guessing we are not the only ones frustrated by this (shocking) limitation. Squarespace does not offer us an option to modify the content of the renewal email notifications. Is there any sort of coding workaround that could accomplish this??!! I'm getting desperate over here for any sort of fix!

I have a client who wants to use QR codes sent with the email order confirmation as a way to verify the purchase at the event entry. ShareASale operates via code injection into the header and order confirmation pages in order to track the order ID and other order information to determine if any of our affiliates were associated with that sale, and receives this order information when an order is placed. However, our website has a static "thank you" page (that you can access here: www.eatology.co/thank-you ), and no order ID or order information is sent to it, and thus no information sent to ShareASale. My question to you all is if there is a way to pass the order ID and order info to that static thank you page to allow ShareASale to access that information, or if there is another solution available that's well known.

After significant research and testing, I've determined that the best solution is to create a custom form (using getform) that the customer is redirected to after completing their checkout. I use the following script to redirect the user to the customize order form: <script> window.location.replace("/customize-your-order"); </script> Everything works great, the redirect happens correctly, and the form submissions appears and works when the fields are completed. The issue is that the user experience is not ideal. As a customer, I need to know my order number and other detailed to manually input them in the form. I'd like to pass the orderId to the customize-your-order form so that I can preload the fields for the user. Does anyone know if there is a way for me to pass the orderId to the custom squarespace page on redirect so that I can get the order details and preload them for the user? Side note, if anyone has any suggestions for a better way to add either a message or image a product, I am open to suggestions. The requirement is that if an image can be upload when selecting the product to add to the cart, that image must also be able to be changed in the shopping cart. I found that this is not possible leading me to my current approach.

  25. Hello - I am working on a site for a client and I need to send a specific link based on what a user purchases. The workaround I've done for this in the past was to make these digital products, and have a download with the link, but that is pretty hack-y and I would prefer to just be able to say "if user purchases x product, send them x URL" Has anyone done anything similar?
