Site URL: https://destiny.contractors/test-index Hi I'm relatively new to website building, I've done some basic CSS and HTML Code Injection on my site listed above, I made a test page to show the premade counter I have installed from Square Studio. I have some light background in javascript, I can understand the basics of various coding languages. My goal here is to get this counter, for the Orders Completed number, to update live directly from the number of completed (or just total orders) that shows from the commerce API. I have tried googling for probably multiple hours now in total, over the last few days, trying to find anything remotely relevant. I cannot find anything except for hundreds of commerce API plugin advertisements. I rather like Squarespace and would like to make this work here. If anyone is familiar with pulling api information please help. Thank you.
  2. Is there a way to retrieve a specific order by order number, not order ID? I'm trying to implement a way for customers to look up their orders and they wouldn't have access to the order ID - only their order number. It looks like you can only retrieve all orders and then filter by modified date. I'd rather not retrieve ALL orders and sift through them every time I need to make an API call. I was surprised to see there's not a way to just look up an order based on order number in the docs. Any insight would be appreciated!
  3. Is there a way to limit the number of orders my site can accept per day? I know I can limit my stock as a work-around, but that's not the best solution for what I need. I would prefer to have my site stop accepting orders after a limit of 30 orders has been reached per day. Help? Thanks!

I had order history on commerce on my previous site (fulfilled orders, cancelled, dicount uses, etc). I am wondering if there is a way to transfer that history onto my new site commerce?

Site URL: https://www.4couture.com/ hi there, I've got a SS site up and running recently for end users and it's great however, I'd like to set up a large store (behind a password) for our existing business contract clients, so they can browse their catalogues and make an order however, we accept a Purchase Order at the time of ordering and then we invoice them on credit terms. So we don't want to take any money via the SS shop but rather just send them an order confirmation and we would receive their order request. Does SS handle this or is there any way I can 'fudge' it so it could work? thanks :)

Site URL: https://www.eatology.co Howdy SquareSpace Forums, We are Eatology, a small pre-made meal delivery service, that is starting a new affiliate program using ShareASale (a third party affiliate managing program). ShareASale operates via code injection into the header and order confirmation pages in order to track the order ID and other order information to determine if any of our affiliates were associated with that sale, and receives this order information when an order is placed. However, our website has a static "thank you" page (that you can access here: www.eatology.co/thank-you ), and no order ID or order information is sent to it, and thus no information sent to ShareASale. My question to you all is if there is a way to pass the order ID and order info to that static thank you page to allow ShareASale to access that information, or if there is another solution available that's well known.
  7. I don't currently have a SquareSpace site and am shopping around for a service that provides the functionality I need. Specifically, I have a non-SquareSpace website that runs a script. This script is quite expensive to run computationally so I'd like people to have to pay to run it. I would like a storefront that: 1. Lets people purchase a "script-running code" (which could just be any sort of reasonably-difficult-to-guess order code) 2. So they can paste their code into my other website. 3. Then, my website verifies that the code has been paid for and not used yet, and then runs the script. So what I'm curious about with SquareSpace is: 1. Is it possible (or, even better, the default) to create a SquareSpace store item that is basically an order code randomly-generated upon purchase? 2. Can I access the confirmed order from my script (or even just have SquareSpace send an order email to me so I can have the script check the email)? For #2 I know SquareSpace has an API for orders but it requires the highest-tier plan. I'm not running at very big scale here so a little kludginess is okay. Thank you!
  8. Site URL: https://seasmartschool.com/awesome-animals Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to send out an email through Mailchimp when someone makes an order of a specific product on our site. Currently, when someone buys the product they get an email which has a 24-hour link and it's causing us a lot of problems (WHY Squarespace? Just WHY?) because they think what they've bought will disappear in 24 hours. I would like to change the product to a service, since what we're selling is an online class that they can take at any time. However, we still need to send them a link to access the class. This is where my idea to connect Mailchimp to Zapier comes in. From what I've figured out I can't connect Zapier to the commerce for an individual product but I was hoping maybe there's some way to get .csv file to auto-populate anytime someone makes an order for the product so I can connect that to Mailchimp with Zapier? That or Squarespace gives people the option to remove the 24-hour clause.

  10. How do you deal with partial shipments? I have some items coming from Printful, and some items I am fulfilling myself. In this case, how do you notify the customer about partial shipments and tracking?
  11. When receiving an order through my shop it just shows the quantity as 1 regardless of how many items have been ordered,the price is corrected but quantity isnt?

I did not submit it, and it included [test] in the subject line. Test mode is and has been off on my website. Is this a glitch on the side of Squarespace/Stripe by chance? Has this ever happened with anyone else?

    Splitting Orders

So the same order every week, but we know that people go on holiday or change their minds about how much they want so ideally we would like them to be able to manage their own orders if they need to change it. As we are proposing very special wine from small producers with small production , we want to limit the quantity that one client can order, to avoid someone to take all the bottles in one command, and allow more customers to experience this wine. I check in eshop options and can just lowered the stock amount which doesn't reach my needs. Do you have any solution for that ? thanks in advance

I have injected some code into the 'Order Confirmation Page' portion of the code injection portion of the setting but it does not seem to re-direct to the thank you page. Any help would be appreciated.   24. I would like to look up the order IDs associated with a customer account, searching on customer information. Ideally, I would search customer name or phone number, and find all orders associated with that customer. It doesn't look like the APIs support this. The only workaround that I see is Retrieving All Orders and then parsing through them to match Name/Phone within billingAddress or shippingAddress. This could be incredibly lengthy, given the amount of order volume. We won't necessarily know the modifiedBefore/After information to time-box and reduce the number of returned orders. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
