  1. Site URL: http://wolf-cube-3k56.squarespace.com I'm working in 7.1/Clarkson. Is there a way to space out the links in my drop down nav? The only option I have is to adjust the line height, but that doesn't affect the links in the drop down. Thanks
  2. Site URL: https://hpch.org I've added a "live stream" button to my secondary navigation but would like to change the color and also the padding (I think that's the correct way to make the button perfectly round?) I can locate the #yui object and style it but it seems that the ID changes each time the page loads. How can I permanently target this item in CSS? Bonus points if anyone can suggest a way to animate the button with a pulse effect.
  3. Hello! I would like to remove certain navigation items in the shopping cart page. - Template: Brine (Hyde) - Hide: Primary navigation items 4 and higher (nth-child(n+4)) - Hide: Secondary navigation item 2 (last-child) - Hide: Footer navigation items 5 and higher (nth-child(n+5)) All other pages work perfectly fine with hiding navigation elements using css codes and targeting their collectionid- and itemnumbers. But I can't seem to find out how to target the shopping cart page. Appreciate any help! Thank you. Sincerely, Berthold
  4. Site URL: https://www.menos.cc Hey, I'm trying to invert the logo color of my website ONLY on the navigation menu on mobile devices. (Or, even better, make my logo 'smart' so it inverts to white on dark backgrounds/images, and keeps black color on light backgrounds). Any help? Any of those options would do :)
  5. Site URL: https://enactusbrandon.com/new-products Can anyone help me include my navigation bar in my product page? I only have a couple of products I sell and so I don't need specific category pages but I would like the navigation page to be on there so customers can easily access other pages that tell them about my organization. I have attached screenshots of what I am talking about. Thanks in advance! I want the navigation bar with the "Soap for you, hotel hero, and out commitment" on the page that only has "all, soap" .
  6. Site URL: https://gecko-maracas-par5.squarespace.com/home-1 Hello! I want to make my footer navigation have the same links as my header. I seem to be able to drag pages from the header to the footer, but that of course removes them from the header. And I assume that if I copy a page and move it into the header, I will wind up with two pages that I will have to update separately. As googling the issue hasn't proven terribly fruitful, I've devised a workaround in simply adding a text block to my footer with text that mirrors the header and making them links. However, there seems to be a limit to what styling rules they will accept. Though I can modify their margins and font-size, I cannot seem to change their color or remove their underline (though, oddly, they will comply with line-through). This is what I'm currently trying: #footer a, a:visited{ color: white; margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px; font-size: 20px; text-decoration-line: none !important; } Any advice on either solution would be much appreciated.
  7. Site URL: https://wandpdesign.com/ Hi! I've been trying different methods to no avail on how to get a translucent nav bar that blends into the background when you open my site, and when you scroll down it turns into a smaller white bar up top. Attached link for example. I'm using the Clay template in the Brine Family. Thank you in advance!
  8. Can anyone recommend custom code/plugin for creating a push navigation similar to this site? https://workhiveslc.com/ I'm using the Brine Template and am assuming it'll need to be code injection for the header. Maybe someone knows of a site offering or selling the plugin code? I know I can mimic this - sort of - by forcing the mobile hamburger to desktop by increasing the mobile breakpoint, but that means the menu background covers the entire desktop screen. Hoping to find partial coverage code. Thank you!
  9. Site URL: https://www.jonasstensgaard.com/shop/funny-home-is-where-quote-bundle-svg-cut-files-family-quote-craft-file-funny-quote-design I'm on the York template. I've just started implementing Adsense on my website and have added ads via code blocks but I noticed a problem: When I add the ad blocks it destroys the way the navigation works on mobile. When I say destroy I mean you can click the hamburger menu but it looks like the menu is empty. In fact it looks like it's empty when in reality a LOT of space has been added above and below the links. The problem exists both in real-life viewing as well as through my squarespace website editor. I contacted Squarespace support and the guy I spoke to found out the problem only exists when using Safari. I tried clearing the cache and all that by following these instructions: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004581087 But that didn't solve the issue. I also tried removing my code from the site-wide Code Injection as well as the custom CSS but that didn't change anything. Also, on pages similar to the one I linked to where I haven't added any ad code block the problem doesn't exist. So it has something to do with the way Safari handles the code block with the ad code maybe? Any idea as to how I can solve this problem? EDIT: So, I managed to do a sort of fix where I added custom CSS that targeted the container of the menu: .overlay-nav-container { height: 0px; } I just set the height to 0px and that fixed the problem - but you can still scroll and scroll because when I inspected the site code it said the container height was more than 5000px! Why does it say that? And is there another and more proper way to fix this? And is the code I added safe enough to use or will it create problems for me in some other part of my site?
  10. Hi all, I want to hide my primary and secondary nav on the following Index page of my site. https://mandarin-lilac-j8jw.squarespace.com/yc-landing-page I tried a bunch of header-code injection(s) and nothing seemed to work. Template is Brine. Please advise!
  11. Is it possible to make a navigation folder a clickable link? I would like to have a hover option for a various services but also a unique clickable landing page for our services.
  12. Hello! I am trying to change my horizontal navigation bar to vertical, I found the code to do this by looking at similar questions on the forum but when I type it in nothing happens after saving & clicking refresh. I noticed the following note above css page and wondered if this would apply to the navigation bar also? Note: Custom CSS does not apply to Cover Pages. Here's the code I used: .Header-nav-inner { height: unset !important; width: unset !important; display: flex !important; flex-direction: column; } Thanks, Sarah
  13. Hi all, I've been trying to create a custom font for my navigation and have been trying this: .Header-nav .Home {font-family:'FONT NAME'} @font-face { font-family:'FONT NAME'; src: url('SOURCE');} It doesn't seem to work, does anyone know how to code for this?
  14. I am working with the Brine Template and want to make the navigation elements within the Header-nav-folder accessible via keyboard. Today, I am able to tab through these links; however, because the menu only expands upon hover of the parent folder, a user is unable to see that they are navigating through a sub-menu. This causes a huge accessibility problem for keyboard-only users. I couldn't find anything in the CSS that triggers this onHover for me to add an onFocus event handler, so I'm a bit stuck as to how to make this appear without the use of a mouse. Any help is appreciated! URL: www.lftphi.com
  15. I set up my website with product page navigation titles that had a line break in them. That way they all fit in a line and didn't wrap to a second level. Looked good too. Now that <.br.> code no longer works....I understand Squarespace no longer supports this strategy. I tried to use the custom CSS code from this website: https://sf.digital/squarespace-solutions/how-can-i-add-line-breaks-to-gallery-grid-titles but the code injector flagged it as having an error, and I don't know enough about it to identify what that error might be. When I went ahead and saved it anyways, it didn't produce the desired result. The - or # just showed up in the title. My website is https://jesse-belsky-stageswords.squarespace.com/in-stock, although there's nothing to see because I've removed the <.br.> code which wasn't working.... thanks for any help, best, Jesse
  16. Hi there, I'm trying to move my main navigation down (to be in line with the bottom of my logo). Is there a way to do this in the site using custom code? I'm using the Mercer template. Thank you for your help!
  17. Hi How do you get your navigation link to centrally align with it's drop down menu. I would like the text 'Resources' to be centrally aligned with the text/box in the drop down menu. At the moment the drop down menu is hanging off to the left! Thanks!
  18. Hi, I am making a mobile navigation for my website to be used on tablet and desktop too. However, the navigation links will not center no matter what I do. if I change them they change on another thing. Here is my code. Please help 😞 .is-mobile-overlay-active .Mobile-overlay { @media screen and (min-width: 768px) { width:30% } @media screen and (max-width: 768px) { width:50% } @media screen and (max-width: 640px) { width:80% } } @media only screen and (max-width: 768px) { .Mobile-overlay-nav-item, .Mobile-overlay-folder-item { text-align: center ; margin-left: 65px; padding-bottom: 50px} .Mobile-overlay-menu { width: 100%; z-index: 1} } @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) { .Mobile-overlay-nav-item, .Mobile-overlay-folder-item { text-align: center; margin-left: 45px !important; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 30px} .Mobile-overlay-menu { width: 100%; z-index: 1;} } media only screen and (min-width: 768px) {.Mobile-overlay-nav-item, .Mobile-overlay-folder-item { text-align: center; margin-left: 230 !important; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 30px} .Mobile-overlay-menu { width: 100%; z-index: 1;} }
  19. Site URL: https://nectarine-circle-ngf5.squarespace.com/ https://nectarine-circle-ngf5.squarespace.com/ password: apod Here is the site URL, the problem i am facing at the moment is quite an odd one... So first of all Using CSS I changed the header to have an image behind it. .Header--top { display: none; background-image: url("https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e28e3821bc1146fbddc88f8/t/5e36482d21662377966f68f8/1580615725729/Base.png"); background-size: 100% 100%; } What I am trying to do is make it so that the image goes behind the navigation, however when setting the header z-index to higher values nothing happens. Behind the navigation there is a white background and I am finding out that is the the background color of the whole page. I am really hitting a lot of walls here if anyone could help.

  21. I am using the Flatiron template, and this is my site: www.isissakomadajohn.com I have a few issues with my header in mobile: I would like the navigation (currently denoted by "menu") to appear below the logo instead of on top I would like the navigation to say "+" instead of "menu" Once the navigation is clicked to open, I would like the navigation items to be less spaced out in terms of line height. they currently take up the entire screen on my iPhone 7 plus Once the logo and navigation are reversed, I would like less space between the logo and the top of the page, and between the navigation and the first item in my scrolling index I am having two issues with my footer too: On mobile, when you scroll all the way to the bottom of the index and reach the footer, the social icons are slightly off center On mobile, when you scroll all the way to the bottom of the index and reach the footer, there is a ton of space between the last image in the index and the social icons. I'd like to decrease this amount of space Many thanks in advance! Isissa
  22. Site URL: http://www.mitchbakker.com I am running into an issue (Brine Template) where the Home Page (/home) Primary Nav Menu utilizes Anchor Links (#example), which properly auto scrolls to a place on the Home Page with content relating to #example, but then clicking through to a new "Example" page (/example), ends up retaining the same Primary Nav Menu...which then is broken (because #example only works on the Home Page (/home)). Essentially, I'm wondering how best to implement Relative Links in Squarespace? How are you folks utilizing an anchor link in a nav menu, and then redirecting back to the home page after that? If you visit the site soon after this posting, you'll find that the closest solution I can come up with is to include: /home#blog in the Nav Menu, so that it at least redirects back home. But even then, it's not going to that section on the Home Page for some reason X) Thoughts? Thanks, folks!
  23. Site URL: https://www.juergenhofmann.com/ Hi everyone, I want to move my logo on Forte template further to the top / left corner so it aligns better with the navigation bar. 25. I designed a site last year with multiple navigation font colors by adding this code into the title of each navigation item so that it looked like the attached picture: <font color="0c9e9f">About</font> Squarespace has since updated, and the code no longer works. The navigation colors are set to white again. www.ralphfarris.com Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this? I would really appreciate it!
