  1. Site URL: https://bugle-poodle-kk7s.squarespace.com/ Hi all, I'm trying to work out if it's possible to change the navigation bar on Squarespace. I have .png icons and I want to use these instead of font in the nav bar. I.e. an image instead of the word "about" etc Is this possible?
  2. Site URL: https://www.earthdrivencollective.com.au/home Is there any way we can customize the spacing and placing of the navigation bar? Client wanted it just above the photos and instead of a dropdown menu, the items in the navigation bar would go up. I attached a sample layout below.
  3. I'm trying to change the font of the navigation buttons in my header ("Home", "About", etc.), because I want them to be the custom font I uploaded instead of one of the default Squarespace fonts. My entire website is using my custom font; it's only these navigation buttons at the top that don't match. I tried the following based on google searches and past forum responses: .Header-nav-item {font-family: 'NATIONALZ';} But that doesn't work for me. Maybe it's different in 7.1? Does anyone know how to do this?
  4. Hi, I'm trying to align the bottom of the navigation links with the bottom of my logo. Adjusting the line height doesn't seem to help. Any tips?
  5. I'm trying to make it so that the menu isn't clickable in a navigation for two specific menus. So only the pages below it are clickable and not the actual menu. I'm trying to do it for this site: https://quadra-capital.squarespace.com/ (password: quadracapital) for "investment solutions" and "contact." Would really appreciate any help!
  6. I am trying to replicate the behavior of the index on caa.com As you will see, you select one of the options and it brings you to a list of sub options, and so on. I am trying to replicate this using a series of links on a cover page. Right now, when you select a link it redirects you to that page. I am trying to make the navigation of the website more seamless as I don't want the page reloading upon clicking. After a bit of research it looks like this is some pretty straightforward HTML language. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  7. Site URL: http://www.shapelyevents.com/ Hello I'm using squarespace 7.1 and I'm wondering if there is any way to have my shop page navigation on the side. I know it is developed by using categories but I would like them place on the side as opposed to centered on the top. I've attached the picture and thought I scrolled through all the options but to not see a styling option for this.

  9. Hi all, I'm a new user to Squarespace and I'm looking for some help. I want to add a call to action button in my main navigation for the last link (Get Your Invite) I've already tried a bunch of other css codes which have been posted as answers in previous questions before, however they don't seem to work with my Hyde template. My website is - www.varaoptical.com Any suggestions and answers will be highly appreciated, thanks!
  10. I am building a Website in Squarespace for the first time and have been having the hardest time finding a template and navigation structure that will allow me to render my photographs in the way I'd like. I've been trying desperately to make the following below work in the Avenue template. I'd like to create a grid navigation that starts as an Index or Folder in the top navigation and then has cascading grids for navigation and viewing photos. For example, I'd like to create a top navigation called "Portfolio" with a sub-category "Calendars" - when you select Calendars, you would get a grid of thumbnails that show years like 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 etc. When you select a year, e.g. 2020, you would get a Grid of the 2020 Calendar photos with each one opening in a Lightbox. Ideally I'd also like to have the photo title and description either render under each thumbnail image or show during the pop up. I am even open to having the 2020 Calendar photos display in a slideshow as long as I could include the title and description. Anyone have suggestions for the best template and approach to accomplishing this, even if it means moving away from the Avenue template?
  11. So I have a site that's not yet active but I am trying to figure out how to make the navigation links when hovered over change color like a button does and be highlighted with a background color... for instance I also work with this company CarCultureTV.com to see how the nav works. Would this coding plus something extra make that work or is even possible with squarespace?
  12. Site URL: https://www.adamhyattphotography.com So I am using a template that has plenty of space in the header for more pages to be displayed but apparently starts a new line after so many. Is there a way to keep it going all in one line? Page isn't active yet to post a link to.
  13. Site URL: https://www.weacceptcryptocurrency.com/ I added the following code to my site to add a hovering underline effect to the navigation bar: .header-nav-item a:hover { text-decoration: underline; } The problem is that once you actually click on a navigation link, the underline goes way lower vertically than the hover effect. This causes two separate underlines when you scroll over the same page that you're on. It's a minor issue but looks bad. Is there a way to make all of the nav bar underlines stay at the same vertical position as the hover effect? I want the underlines to be right under the words, so that once a page is clicked there is no double underline upon hovering.
  14. I would like to have social links appear in the header of a template that only offers footer icons.
  15. Hi, I recently switched from the Native to Brine template. Native's mobile navigation spelled out the word 'navigation' below the logo but the Brine template just has symbols to choose from. Is there code that can change the Brine mobile navigation menu to say "navigation" instead of having a symbol? Thanks!
  16. Site URL: https://phillipsrestorationinc.com/ I injected code into the footer of my website. Everything pretty much works as intended. However I have these weird obstructions of the same logos I injected code for into the footer obstructing my navigation menu on mobile view. See the attached screenshot.
  17. Site URL: http://www.plural.tv Hi there, We're trying to align the Primary Navigation (the only button is 'Contact') to the baseline of the Logo. Can this be done with some simple CSS? Our current site password is: 9lura75it3 Thanks so much for taking a look.
  18. Site URL: https://green-wrasse-ttt9.squarespace.com/ Hi -- I've looked all over and can't figure out why when I click on a folder drop down in mobile navigation, the back button does not take me back to the main page of navigation, only to a blank window with no links. Thoughts? I'm using the Almar tablet. There's nowhere in the SquareSpace customizations for the template to specific the address of this back link... very confused. Any help would be wonderful!
  19. Site URL: https://tekorowaiowaiheke.org/ Hi I have an issue with the menu items inside a dropdown folder in the top level navigation of this site getting obscured. They simply fall outside of the browser window and the text is obscured. We're using the BRINE template The names are quite long but it's important for the client to have those full names there and the dropdown menu item in that spot in the navigation. Is there anything that can be done about this so the text remains visible, i.e. the dropdown not appearing to the right of the top level nav item but shifting towards the centre of the site instead when dropping down?
  20. Hello everyone, I'm trying to display my navigation menu vertically instead of horizontally on my website : https://coconut-bagpipe-9nzc.squarespace.com/home I would highly appreciate your help as I've been trying for a few days to find this out ! Thank you Robin
  21. How can I modify the page header to remove the search icon and make the navigation menu accessible to WCAG 2.0 standards? I'm building a website for a research lab associated with a University and we need to make sure the site meets WCAG 2.0 standards. These two elements of the page are not compliant but I'm not seeing any way to modify them. Are these issues known to squarespace and are they on your development plan to address? If so, what is the expected timeline for that? Thanks! Jill
  22. Template: Forte Hi all, I setup folder links using <a href="url slug"> to link to an alternate menu, but they have since ceased to work. Thinking that it might have been some issue with the relative addresses, I have tried using external addresses to no avail. Ling.
  23. Hello, I got a quick question with 7.1. I'm looking for the usual options for a navigation status (active/mouseover) (used to be plain, spotlight, underline active etc...) can't find it on 7.1. Thank you, I appreciate help! Armin
  24. Sorry if the title is confusing. I have a yoga studio client who has two locations. They would like the site to start from a landing page that gives you the option to click into either location. The user will then be given either version of a full identical website, with differing information on each page. Each of the identical sites will have a homepage and navigation. In order to keep this all on one domain rather than two, I'll need two separate main navigation bars - where I can decide which pages my nav of choice will appear on. Please help
  25. Hi, On my site I design each page using individual image blocks so that I can create the layout that best presents my work. I really don't like the way that the gallery pages or other options work, they just throw everything in with equal prominence. The problem is that there's no built-in navigation between image blocks once you've clicked on an image to bring up the lightbox. I'd like to know if there is a way to connect all of the image boxes on a page so that you can navigate from image to image without leaving the lightbox, by using the arrow keys. I'm not terribly fussed whether or not there are bullet points at the bottom to indicate the number of images, and I don't care for arrow buttons because I prefer to click off an image to close the lightbox as is the default. My site is Capio Photographie in case you'd like to see how I've built my pages. They're all done the same way. Thanks in advance for any advice or code
