  1. Hello everyone, I'm trying to align my drop down navigation to the middle (see the attached image) I tried all kinds of css tricks that I can find about the subject but no luck. I'm hoping you can help me! Thank you in advance.
  2. Hi! I would like to have Theather, Commercials, Styling and TV shows in the main navigation instead of just Work. Does anyone know if these can be done? Thanks!
  3. Hi, I'm running the Ishimoto template. Could someone advise how I can make my Navigation menu text display in bold text? Many thanks for helping
  4. I have tried all the CSS I found in other threads, but none are working quite right. One came close but it turned my menu into a hamburger. I'm just starting a new site, so I haven't made many changes to the original yet. I just want the logo top center, and the menu under that, centered. Should be pretty easy. Thank you!
  5. Hi there, I am having so much trouble with this navigation bar not being horizontal and centred anymore the way it was before specifically with Chrome. How could I change this with code? Please if anyone has the answer to this I would be grateful! Sarah
  6. How do I: A. - have my interior pages not function as separate interior pages but only as snap-to sections on home page? B. - have these pages/sections listed in the navigation? Currently, I am trying to have all interior pages viewed on home page only, not as additional separate interior pages. I want the nav to list all these sections and when clicked on you are scrolled down and snapped to that section only on the home page. If that makes any sense.
  7. I am using the Bedford template and I used code injection to make the side navigation bar fixed. However, when you scroll down on the page, one of the longer page titles becomes one-lined instead of two-lined, making it extend into the page content. Is there something I can do so that it stays one-lined? Thank you! Check it out here: https://www.transformativems.com/project-portfolio-management-ppm
  8. Hello, I am using the Wells template, because i want the navigation as a sidebar. I would like to make the site title font bigger than what the template lets me do in style editor. When i change the site title font size in style editor noting happens, the size seems locked in some way. Is it possible to change this with a CSS code? I imagine this being a very simple coding, but i haven't found a solution when searching, and i do not really know anything about CSS myself. Also, i would like the dropdown navigation folders to have a different color than the rest of the navigation, so i also need a code for this, if possible.. 9. I don't like cover pages as means of selecting a language in a multi-lingual page. I'd rather prefer to have users choose the language in the main navigation (e.g. "EN/DE" for English or German). Does Squarespace offer such a solution? Thanks! Tobias (from Switzerland)
  10. Client is wanting the primary navigation under the logo. I have worked on many different codes but seems the background is transparent to the index first page and I must be missing instruction within my code. HELP!

  12. Hello. I have added some css to change a folder on my primary menu but I have two issues that I need assistance with: I want the drop down folder and it's pointer to be centered with the name of the menu item, and How do I get the colour on hover to go right to the edges (left and right) instead of stopping short. For the life of me I can't work either of these issues out. Website: https://stephanie-g.net/ TIA
  13. Is there CSS to change a navigation item in Basil to a button?
  14. Hi everyone, I am setting multilingual navigation for my website. www.bizlinks.com.auIf I click the English button on the right corner, the webpage will change to English mode, but the navigation title doesn't change except I manual reload the page. I'm using the Mojave template, the structure of the website is attached below. I'm using this code for the primary navigation <style>nav.Header-nav--secondary { display: none; } .Mobile-overlay-nav--secondary { display: none; } </style> And this code for the Secondary Navigation. <style>nav.Header-nav--primary { display: none; } .Mobile-overlay-nav--primary { display: none; } </style> It's that any code to add that can fix this issue? Many thanks.
  15. Given that Bedford does not offer a landing page template, and cover pages are too limiting in terms of design, I would like to create a few select pages with no header or mobile navigation, and no pre-footer or footer nav. I know this must be possible and I've read several articles, but none of the answers have worked. I've tried adding this to the CSS: .collection (insert collection id here) #navigation-top { display: none !important } I've also tried adding a style tag to hide nav elements via the advanced tab on the page settings, but nothing is helping. I know there must be way to do this so I can build a landing page template that I can use for my site, but I can't find anything that works. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Julie
  16. I'm currently using the Heights Template. I like how you can scroll through the homepage but would like some help on the Navigation side of things, particularly secondary NAV. I really like the secondary navigation for Orange Theory's website. When you hover over the main site navigation, a long bar with the sub-options comes up (and stays up) that goes across the entire page. Is there a Squarespace Template that is close to Orange Theory? Or is there a way I can embed some code to get this sort of secondary navigation? Thank you in advance. Matt
  17. Hi can anybody help? I would like to lock my navigation to the top of my webpage Template FORTE. I have found different codes around this blog but they don't seen to work properly for FORTE I really appreciate the help guys Thanks a million in advance!
  18. The primary nav and secondary nav are not aligned. Even when the secondary one inherits the primary, it doesn't seem to inherit the vertical element spacing. Maybe it is caused by a plugin that i use which fixes the navigation bar on scroll and transitions to a white background, this is the following code: .Header { position: fixed!important; z-index: 1000; width: 100%; -webkit-transition: all .2s ease; -o-transition: all .2s ease; transition: all .2s ease;} .Header-inner { padding-top: 50px; -webkit-transition: all .2s ease; -o-transition: all .2s ease; transition: all .2s ease;} .Header.scrollNav { background: #fff!important; padding-bottom: 10px; .Header-inner { padding-top: 10px!important; } .Header-branding { color: #000; } .Header-nav a { color: #000!important; &:hover { color: rgba(0,0,0,.6)!important; } }} @media screen and (min-width: 640px) { .Index section:first-child, .Main--page, .Intro, .Main { padding-top: 81px; } .Intro + .Main { padding-top: 0px; }} You can look at the screenshot i uploaded. Furthermore I want to keep the plugin if possible while the secondary navigation (or primary) aligns with the rest of the navigation bar.
  19. I am looking to change the font color of my drop down menu which is a folder containing pages to create categories under the blog toggle. As it is the background and font colors are both white it is very hard to read. I would like the font to be this color #f78daf when toggling over the drop down. Or for the background of the drop down menu to be that same color and keep the font color white so that you can see it. I have an understanding of how to insert code into the css but not how to write it myself. Here is the site: https://rightbrainedteacher.com/
  20. I was using the Bedford template for my website and switched to the Harris template. I really liked the feature on Bedford where there are links to other pages in a folder available on the side of the screen and I want to include that on my new website. However, it seems that a secondary side navigation option is not a simple add-on. I don't want to recreate everything in a different template, so is there some sort of custom CSS or anything I can do to add a side navigation bar? Thanks!
  21. 23. hi, I am currently working on the Five template and have drop down folder on my navigation bar. My background is light pink, however the outline of the drop down folder is red and I really can't seem to change this! It's driving me mad!I've tried different CSS codes and looked through site styles but can't seem to find how to fix these. I would like to change the red outline to either hsl (0,100%, 97%) or hsl (0, 0%, 27%). If anyone has any advise, please let me know!
  24. My logo and navigation for my site is black and it shows up on all the pages but not my homepage (because it's got photographs for a background) so I'm trying to find a way to make them white on the home page, http://www.crawfordarchitects.co.uk I'm wanting to use the Bedford template. Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks, Stephen
  25. I am having some issues with making the navigation go full width. Any help would be most appreciated. In Design>Styles I have set branding position to Top Center and Primary Nav Position to Bottom Center. Also, I have a secondary navigation button that is set to Bottom Right. All navigation tabs are where they should be, however the background color that I have set to white is not going to the left side of the primary navigation. See attached screenshot. Here is my CSS code for the background color:/* primary nav bkgd colour */.Header-nav { width: 100%; height: 50px; background-color: white; } Thank you.
