  1. Hello, I'm very new to CSS and HTML coding. In fact I'm very new to building a website. Can anyone tell me how I might be able to add breadcrumbs to my sight? Or have any other suggestions for navigation. I'm trying to create and online store the DIY way (because I'm in the UK and don't benefit from SQSP e-commerce). thestitcherymachine.co Thanks in advance people!
  2. Hello! I am working on this site: https://rectangle-gecko-tryt.squarespace.com (password is: test) This site uses the York template. I am trying to remove the header/site title from the workbook page (https://rectangle-gecko-tryt.squarespace.com/gregprayworkbook). I was able to do this with the following code: #collection-5d5a22edb451b500013591da { header, footer, { display: none !important;}} However, it still shows for the tablet and mobile breakpoints. We will be using a Personal Level account so we cannot inject this code into the individual page via the advanced settings. I have seen many posts on this site that use that solve but nothing that leverages the custom CSS for York. Do any of you have any advice on how to fix this and remove the site title from the mobile breakpoints for this one page only? Many thanks!
  3. Site URL: https://octahedron-plantain-seg7.squarespace.com/ In my header navigation, I have 2 drop-down folders in which one should be larger than the other. Question A - How do I make one drop-down longer than the other? Question B - How can I make the drop-down fall down under the Main Section rather than far off left? Question C - Is there a custom CSS to make the folder drop straight down like its coming from the section name? Website password: morrill@trial
  4. Site URL: https://www.dtr.media/ Hello, I'm in the process of building my site and currently have a fixed header with transparency applied to my home page. I'm a CSS novice at best and mainly found the code to modify those elements by searching and piecing some things together. The fixed/transparent header have automatically been applied to the contact/about pages, but the video & photo gallery pages aren't applying the changes for some reason. How would I go about correcting this so the nav bar is consistent across all pages? Thanks for any help. Current code being used:
  5. Hi - I would love some help on highlight some folder drop downs if possible? I have a 'My Work' page with 4 x portfolios under that. I would like each portfolio name to have a separate colour so that they are easily differentiated when browsing. Screenshot attached - the different pages are: Poetry Performance / Theatre Producing & Project Management Commissions & Current Projects Can someone help with this please? Thanks! 🙂
  6. Site URL: https://www.danielromero.nyc/daniel-romero My business has two locations. I have created a landing page as my home page which allows the user to click into one area or the other which then takes them into either version of a full identical website under the same domain. Each of the two sites will have a homepage and navigation. I would like to have the navigation bar be different for each site and be able to decide which pages my navigation of choice will appear on. How can I make a custom navigation to show up on one page and a different navigation menu to show up on another page?
  7. Site URL: https://www.marlonbunday.co.uk Hi, I am working on a portfolio site using HAYDEN template but the sticky navigation header bar doesn't work on all pages, in particular pages contained within a folder structure, as on this URL: https://www.marlonbunday.co.uk/all-work It works on index pages (https://www.marlonbunday.co.uk/about) but I have no idea how to "force" it to appear on ALL pages. Any ideas or workarounds welcome 🙂 Thanks, stay safe out there... Marlon
  8. How do I change the font colour of dropdown menu links?
  9. Site URL: https://hackneydesignstudio.com Hi people! Hope someone can help! I have many pages on my site and i'm looking to cleanly arrange everything on the menu navigation but feel i'm missing an option for secondary or nested menus. Attached is a screenshot of what i'd like to achieve but happy for someone to suggest a better option. I've shopped around for a plugin but to no avail. The issue is that for the the brands i've got pages for, i don't want to build a parent page for that category. I just want people to see that those brand identities fall under that category.
  10. Hi, I have uploaded a custom font to the CSS sidebar and entered in the source code (see below). I have also entered the CSS (after watching a YouTube tutorial). At first the font did change, but only when I entered the "font-size:" text/ I then tried to change the H4 colour, which then caused the header text to revert back to the Squarespace font. I've since taken out the font size and colour, but the font is still the SQRSPC one....Not sure why. Could someone please help? CODE: #font-face{ font-family:'lovelo'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5eaa574add3abf2466016021/t/5ebd1c3274201e4e0584e243/1589451827055/Lovelo-Black.otf); } h1,h2,h3,h4{font-family:lovelo;} .Header-nav--primary {font-family:lovelo;} The site I'm working on isn't live yet so unable to provide a link. Thanks in advance!
  11. Site URL: https://www.jaimiholker.com Hi Folks, Is there a way to have the navigation align to the right side of the screen? I'm working on a site using Flatiron. Thanks!
  12. Hello! Does anyone know if it's possible to change the individual positions of each nav link? As an example, if my links in my nav are "work" and "about" - is it possible to have work flush left, and about flush right while my logo is in the center position? Right now I can only have the full nav flush left while the logo is centered. Thank you!!
  13. Site URL: https://aam-web-sample.squarespace.com/ When my site is viewed on a tablet the navigation overlaps with my social icons and button. Is there a way I can force my navigation to go to mobile/hamburger view when being viewed on tablets/ipads?
  14. I'm trying to edit the spacing of the drop down items in my nav. I reached out to support and they said it's not an option but I could custom code it. Currently they are bunched together and it's hard to see the difference between which page you're clicking on. Would also be great to add a highlight option where the page you hover over highlights. See attached for screenshot of current dropdown. Super beginner with custom code over here!
  15. Site URL: https://bear-apple-l68y.squarespace.com/ Hi! I have a centered primary navigation that keeps turning into two lines/rows when I resize the browser, even when the browser window is large and there seems to be enough space to keep it on one line/row. I have a script that changes the navigation depending on if you are on the website for ”Företag” (Company) or ”Privatperson” (Private Person). Could the script be whats messing up the navigation? Is there something I can do about it with CSS? Any help on how to solve this would be very much appreciated! 🙂 Website: https://bear-apple-l68y.squarespace.com/ Password: center How I would like the navigation to look all the time:
  16. Site URL: https://tekorowaiowaiheke.org/ Hi I have an issue with the menu items inside a dropdown folder in the top level navigation of this site getting obscured. They simply fall outside of the browser window and the text is obscured. We're using the BRINE template The names are quite long but it's important for the client to have those full names there and the dropdown menu item in that spot in the navigation. Is there anything that can be done about this so the text remains visible, i.e. the dropdown not appearing to the right of the top level nav item but shifting towards the centre of the site instead when dropping down?

  20. Site URL: https://augustussung.com hello all, I'm using the Forte template. I realized that on mobile, the hamburger menu selections are camouflaged with my BG image. How do I give it a white background, and also make it full screen and centralized? Appreciate all the help. Thank you all!
  21. Hey there, So I'm new to Squarespace and love the platform itself and all it offers. I currently am trying to create a 90's inspired site and was wondering if this was possible at all to do here. Similar to the Glass Animals' website design (https://opensource.glassanimals.com/), I was wondering if there was a way to upload icons to work as buttons so that when you click it, it could be transferred to another page. Or if there was a way to import the icons on the homepage as images, and then make a transparent button to put over it, so that when you were to click on an image it does somewhat of a similar effect. I've looked into other platforms where this seems more achievable, but overall would love to use Squarespace for all of its features. If someone could give any further input, it'd be greatly appreciated!
  22. Lets try this again. The last question I posted seems to have not made it anywhere over the past 3 days. How do i nest folders in the navigation for the bedford template, or in other words make it so that a drop down can have a dropdown in it. This is very important to my client. This is very simple. If Squarespace does not allow this I may very well have to use something else. I found one thread about this and it never got answered... The next thread I found about this, they basically said "One level deep is best.", the complaints were ignored, and the question was closed... I am starting to get the idea that squarespace is not a real good company as far as support and flexibility go. i'm begging you; change my mind!
  23. Site URL: https://austinhomies.com/ I'm trying to enable a hover state on my logo to change from a static image to a gif. Any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks!
  24. Hey, I've asked this before, but didn't really find what I was looking for. I am looking for a way to have the hamburger navigation menu on mobile on one single page instead of folders. Basically I want to keep the same folder structure when hovering over the different objects on desktop, but I want to have a single scrollable menu on mobile, where the different folders are still hinted at with color/intendation. I attached a quick attachment to further explain what I mean. An automatic solution, adjusting for any changes in the site structure would be amazin. I'd be okay though, if I had to update the items on the menu every time any changes are made. So far I tried to outright remove the entire content with CSS and insert some text using the content property, but I found no way to have any links. It also broke part of the desktop site, by rendering the uppermost part unclickable, depending of the amount of lines I inserted. Any help is appreciated.
  25. Site URL: https://www.boutique14.co.uk/home1 Hi, trying to configure the footer navigation. I am happy with a centered stacked layout on desktop, but on mobile it's all bunched too closely together and I'm concerned about accessibility because the links are too close together. It would be good if on mobile only I could either space the links out more, or use columns. I'm messing about with this CSS: @media screen and (max-width: 640px) { .Footer-bottom { layout: columns } } It doesn't work. Could do with some help please. Thank you.
