  1. I'm still new to squarespace so forgive me. I'm looking to make a website with the navigation bar, title, logo etc. on the left hand side of the screen, with work/posts on the right hand side. Here is an example: http://www.brandonceli.com/ Since I'm using 7.1, I feel like I have no freedom with how I want my blog to look without having to hire a professional who knows code.
  2. Site URL: https://gerbercont.squarespace.com Hello, I am trying to achieve an underlined affected underneath each item in the main navigation folder. I would like to have a horizontal rule underneath each item, but cannot seem to get the right effect with the text-decoration css that I am using right now. Is this even possible to achieve? I am using the Brine template and the website can be accessed here: https://gerbercont.squarespace.com with the password being "gerbercontrols". Below is what the desired appearance is in terms of the horizontal rule that I would like to have.
  3. Trying to get the navigation to sit centered underneath the logo which is also centered in the Brine template. Bottom center ends up in the banner image. Anyone know how I can do this? Tried using secondary navigation but it goes to the same places. Image attached. Thanks in advance!
  4. Site URL: https://sparrow-recorder-4lyg.squarespace.com/ Hi there! Is there a way to change the text alignment in my site navigation dropdown menu? It is currently right aligned and I would like it to be left aligned. Thank you! Hannah
  5. Site URL: http://www.snowythefilm.com Hi there. I'm looking for help on how to style my navigation bar. Currently my nav bar includes links for "home" "team" "contact" and "shop" I'd like to change the nav link for "shop" from text into an image. Any help on this would be wonderful even if it's just to say, "this isn't possible with squarespace" Thank you!
  6. Hi, I'm building a site and as there are only 2 pages (home and contact) we want to remove the navigation from the header, but keep the logo. Any ideas?

  8. Hi there, I am trying to move my navigation bar to below my banner on home page and stick on scroll. The look i am trying to recreate: https://harlow.showit.site/ A solution would be much appreciated!!
  9. Site URL: https://alyssacmendoza.com Hi, I'm trying to make the colour of the underline the same as the colour of the current page, I can't seem to get it. my portfolio's still on the editing stage so password for the site is preview1234
  10. Site URL: https://www.suemcnenly.com/ Hey there. I used the custom css to create a cover page for my 7.1 site by getting rid of the header/footer. Now my problem is that when you enter the site from the cover page and ever want to navigate back to the true home page (not the cover page) when clicking on Site Title, it brings you back to the Cover page. I only want the cover page to appear when people first go to my site on a unique visit. I'd be grateful for the custom CSS that will make that happen. Thanks!
  11. Site URL: https://towny.com/ Site URL: https://towny.com/ Hi Digital Comrades, Using the Bedford template, I've run into a problem with the navigation hamburger menu on Mobile, specifically the homepage (all other pages on mobile & desktop, the Navigation works as expected). With or without code injections, the menu will pop out when clicked BUT show will show the site's Footer and not the true Navigation menu. See below for Screenshot of Homepage Navigation Menu upon click. This only occurs on the homepage of mobile. The site works perfectly fine elsewhere on both desktop and mobile; the issue seems to have isolated itself to only the homepage on mobile. I have tried adding/removing different CSS code to cement/hover the header, remove the header, remove footer, as well as changing the template to a different one and back to Bedford; so far nothing has resulted in success yet. Can anyone advise what might be my issue with the Bedford Navigation menu on Mobile? I would be/am very appreciative of any advice or thoughts. Thank you kindly. 🙂 Respectfully, -C
  12. Site URL: https://gopher-mackerel-pen5.squarespace.com/ Hello SS brains trust, Fixing up a few things on a clients site built by another designer and need some help with nav for mobile & tablet... Nav menu is fixed and working perfectly on homepage, though when I navigate to the Team and Contact pages, it's not visible at all. Any ideas how to fix this? 13. Site URL: https://www.hi-noon.net Hi everyone! I'm trying to insert a clickable sticker / badge (a .gif on transparent background) into the upper right corner of the website (in the header). Please see the image attached. After clicking the image it would link to another page. Ideally it would only appear on the homepage, however if not possible it can be visible on all pages. Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thank you
  14. Site URL: https://www.lewishubbard.com/home-redesign-april-2020-full-refs Hi. I've set my nav to right-aligned in Site Styles (Five template) but my Logo aligns to the center when doing so. How can I left-align the Logo while keeping nav right-aligned? Thanks.
  15. Hello, I am looking to add a down arrow at the bottom middle area of the header image, which user can click to slide down to the text portion. See the attached screenshot. Any help in guiding me with this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
  16. I added font awesome icons to navigation menu in Squarespace 7.1. I was tagreting 6 main categories with this code .header-nav-item:nth-child 1..2…3..4..5..(5)..6 a::before { and it works perfectly. Question is what would be the code to target subcategories in each of the main categories? Thanks!
  17. Site URL: http://www.hadassi.com/home Hi all, wondering if you can help me? I need this website to have navigation in the footer menu on desktop as well as primary and secondary navigation. However on mobile I need all of these to consolidate into the hamburger (nothing to be visible on the footer). Can anyone help?
  18. Site URL: http://www.breatheportugal.com On my website (www.breatheportugal.com), I see an unusual configuration of the nav items on the top. Sometimes they are displayed horizontally (this is the right way), but lately, sometimes, they are stacked on top of each other. I attached two images with the situations described above. I know it does not necessarily has to do with the responsive design because I am seeing the website on a 13-inch full screen and it still shows them stacked. Thanks in advance!
  19. Hi, I'd like to learn how code or advice for how to lower my navigation bar to be in line with the company name text in the logo. I would like your help please in seeing if it is possible to format this for a version 7.1 desktop. Please see reference attached of how it displays now, and where I would like for it to display in line with red bar as a guide in the second reference image. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
  20. How do add a secondary or footer navigation in 7.1? This was so easy in 7.0 and cannot find anything for 7.1
  21. Hey, I was wondering if anyone can suggest a way to have the hamburger navigation menu, which is organized in the usual folder structure, on a single page, where the folder elements are accessible by scrolling rather than clicking. Ideally the folder names would still be listed in a seperated font or something. The folder structure should definetely still stay the same on desktop with the folders popping up when hovering over them. I attached a quick mockup what I would imagine it to look like.
  22. Does anyone know how to do this? Why did this feature disappear in 7.1??
  23. Site URL: https://www.wellwomenpsychology.com/ I am very new to coding and squarespace. I just recently published the website. I am trying to replicate the same scroll effect as seen on this page on stripe: https://stripe.com/customers#b2b-platforms. As you scroll down the page, the second nav sticks to the top and the nav link becomes active by changing color as you scroll through the correct section of the site. Primary Problem #1: So far I have successfully made a second sticky nav under the main banner. The only thing left to do is to have the nav links change color to #46d8cb whenever you press on the nav link or whenever you scroll to the link's page within the Index. It is now day 3 and I am going crazy trying to figure this out. From all my research it seems like javasrcript or Jquery are the ways other people have solved this problem. I have tried several javascript "solutions" but none of it worked as I am sure simply cutting and pasting was my problem. But I don't know enough about the language to understand how to manipulate it. Problem #2: The sticky nav section does not float above content while scrolling in an ipad, mobile, or safari. It only works on my desktop. I just found this issue as I was writing this and I figured I would include it here to see if anyone knows a quick solution. Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated! Apologies that the code below is all over the place. Here is the HTML code I injected directly onto the page within the index: <div id="div1" style="position: absolute; z-index:10000; width: 100%; padding: 0 !important; " > <div id="sticky"> <div id="secondary-menu"> <ul> <li> <a href="/types-of-therapy/#cognitive-behavior-therapy">Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)</a> </li> <li> <a href="/types-of-therapy/#dialectical-behavior-therapy">Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) </a> </li> <li> <a href="/types-of-therapy/#exposure-and-response-prevention">Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)</a> </li> <li> <a href="/types-of-therapy/#circle-of-security">Circle of Security Parenting</a> </li> <li> <a href="/types-of-therapy/#supportive-or-insight-oriented-therapy">Supportive or Insight Oriented Therapy</a> </li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#sticky").sticky({topSpacing:0}); }); </script> And here is the CSS I added to the style editor: /*Secondary Menu for Types of Therapy Page*/ #secondary-menu { border-top: 1px solid rgba(7,96,115,.07); border-bottom: 1px solid rgba(7,96,115,.07); background-color: white; } #secondary-menu ul { list-style-type: none; padding-left: 0; margin: 0; text-align: center; } #secondary-menu li { display: inline-block; padding: 0 16px; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: Walsheim Regular; font-weight: 600; font-size: 18px; color: #8898aa; transition: color 0.8s; text-align: center; white-space: normal; } #secondary-menu li:hover { color: #32325d; } #secondary-menu li.active-link a { color: #4cdacc !important; } #secondary-menu a { display: block; padding: 25px 0; max-width: 170px; } #types-of-therapy-content .sqs-block-code { width: 100% !important; } #types-of-therapy-content .index-page-content { padding-right: 0 !important; padding-left: 0 !important; } For full disclosure, here is the script I copied and pasted into the code injector to make the second nav sticky: <!-- JQuery script to make the bottom nav bar sticky on the Types of Therpay Page --> <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.3.min.js"></script> <script> (function($) {var defaults = {topSpacing: 0,bottomSpacing: 0,className: 'is-sticky',wrapperClassName: 'sticky-wrapper',center: false, getWidthFrom: '',responsiveWidth: false}, $window = $(window),$document = $(document),sticked = [],windowHeight = $window.height(),scroller = function() {var scrollTop = $window.scrollTop(),documentHeight = $document.height(), dwh = documentHeight - windowHeight, extra = (scrollTop > dwh) ? 24. When I am viewing my site on a mobile device, the navigation works fine. Until I rotate the device. Then the menu button appears, but once open all that is in the navigation is social links, no actual menu items... How do I fix this?
  25. Site URL: https://niall-cochrane-dcb3.squarespace.com/config/pages Hi I have recently moved to the Fulton template and have almost completed my new site but there are a few small things that I can't seem to figure out; 1. The Navigation icon to the top left doesn't scroll down with the page, is there a way to do this? I think it does it in the template but I must have turned it off somehow. 2. How can I show the Social Icons? I've looked but can't find how to do this. 3. Is it possible to have the navigation and logo at the top of the page stay there when scrolling? Thanks, N
