These days many events are held online and therefore the physical location does not matter. The Google event meta data would provide the possibility to markup an event as a virtual event, as explained here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/event#structured-data-type-definitions However in the Event Settings of an event, Squarespace does not allow to select the type of the event and it is therefore always a physical event ({"@type": "Place"}). Is there a way to manually inject or override these meta data settings?

I've never signed up for Share A Sale as a merchant. It's a $550 non-refundable fee to sign up. Has anybody been able to integrate share a sale's tracking code successfully into SS? I don't want to waste $550 just to find out that SS has some random limitation that can't accomplish this. To be clear. I'm not trying to integrate an affiliate link. That's easy. I want my website to be the one people are driving traffic to.

I am using v7.1 to create a site for a client where articles, essays, poems, videos and audio are posted via blogposts. I would like to change "Written by" to simply "By" since not all of the posted works are written.

Hi, all - wondering if it's possible to display tags for a blog post in addition to/separately from other metadata (e.g. category, date), and elsewhere on the page. Context: I'm using the Brine template. Under "Site Styles," you can set "primary" and "secondary" metadata to display on any given post — and you can only display two metadata types. By default, those two pieces of metadata display under the blog post title, as below (here, I'm displaying Categories and Date). Question: What I'm wondering is — is it possible to, in addition to the "Prima

Site URL: https://happydrops.nl/ Dates in the SERPs have a bad impact on the click rate. I like to hide the publication date of the blog posts, within the Google search results. We use the Brine family (Brasil template) for our website. And it’s the 7.0 platform. On the summary blocks we made sure to hide the primary and secondary data. So there are no blog dates visible on our website. On the Design and Site Styles the settings the blog metadata settings are also for primary and secondary on None So all the possible settings for hiding

Hi all. Hoping you can help me out. For blog posts, I am trying to set custom fonts for the Date, Author, and Tags, as well as for the author's name under the profile picture. I have tried the CSS ID list found here, as well as searching the forums, but I am striking out. For what it's worth, I am using the Bailard template. My latest attempt used this code: I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Would love any suggestions. Thanks!

Site URL: http://www.thedesignemotive.com Hi everyone, I'm looking for some coding to completely hide/remove the blog title from the post? The two screenshots show it's current state, which hasn't removed it but rather just made it white. Is there some simple coding to just do away with it so everything shifts up?

Removing Event Category Metadata Separator
welfaremike posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.effinghamvillagewine.com/events Ugh, the worst part about Squarespace is the lack of complete control. No, I don't want to be a computer science major just to be able to tweak something. There needs to be a level between "we'll hold your hand through everything" and "Web Developer PhD". For instance, this comma stuck between the event categories metadata. There is nowhere to get rid of this and I can't for the life of me figure it out with custom css or anything else you can do without developer mode. Any ideas??- 1 reply

Removing Secondary Metadata From Main Blog List
adambernnyc posted a question in Coding and Customization
How can I go about hiding my secondary metadata (the tags) from the Main Blog List page but keep them visible next to the Post Date on ONLY the individual blog post page? I only wish for the Date metadata to be visible on the Main Blog List. I'm currently working in the Brine theme. -
Display Meta Data (Tags) on Blog POSTS Only

I am using the Brine family (Rally template) 7.0. I want to display meta tags on the blog posts only and hide them from the blog list and blog collection list. Is this possible? I'm using the Brine template on Squarespace 7.0. I got the title and description of the slideshow gallery images to display via the slideshow design options but I'd also like to display the location metadata. I'm assuming this has to be done by inserting some custom CSS. Does anybody have any idea what that CSS should look like? For reference, I've already modified the appearance of the title and description display using the following CSS but I don't know how to turn on the display of the metadata and I don't know the class to be able to modify its appearance. Ideally I'd like it to

Hello community, I want to show 3 Metadata types on my blog posts (author , date, and tags). The brine template which I am using, only allows to show 2 types of Metadata. If I show the author & date using the standard site style options, is there any custom code I can use to show the blog tags at the bottom of each post? I understand how to hide certain elements in Squarespace using custom CSS e.g Item.name{ display:none; } Maybe it is possible to do the reverse with the hidden tags ? If someone could shed some light on this I would great a

We currently are using Squarespace's commerce functionality to display physical inventory/availability of our products that cannot be bought online. We use a summary block and tags on each product to show/hide on our availability page. Is it possible with the commerce API or generic Squarespace API to get a timestamp of when the last time a product in the inventory had been updated? This would allow our customers to see how up to date the physical inventory page is instead of manually changing date/time on the page. Thanks for the help and I could not find any information in my initial se

Hello,So say I search for the word "supply chains" in my website's built-in search feature. What shows up are the titles, thumbnails of the articles, and a scramble of words to show the description. It will basically have every sentence in the article with the word "supply chains" in there and italicize the word to produce very incoherent text. Is there a way to get rid of all that description and instead just have the meta description for each article in there? PS. Im using the brine template

How to add meta descriptions on auto generated pages
Cattty posted a question in Coding and Customization
For example, after adding tags to blog posts, a new web page is automatically created. This page contains all other pages that include that tag. The issue is, after crawling my website I've found I have 7 of these pages which don't have meta descriptions, and are affecting my SEO. How can I add meta descriptions to these auto generated pages? I'm using the Tudor template. Thanks!
