  1. Site URL: https://www.vamicreations.com Hello all, I have a question regarding the Markdown blocks and adding the nofollow coding. I've done the coding that others here have recommended multiples times (my entire site (https://www.vamicreations.com) is filled with these and I have never had an issue with them till now). About a week ago, every time I started either changing something small (even deleting a space or adding one) in a markdown block of already posted articles or even creating a new post and using the same exact code for the nofollow affiliate links, all nofollow links show to <a data-preserve-html-node="true" href= link and the rest of the code from other nofollow links...I am stumped as I have talked with Squarespace help who has checked coding and everything on their end and not found anything wrong - i.e. it renders fine for them, even on my site. On my end, I have cleared any browsers I have used of caches, cookies, and history, restarted my computer, restarted the router, re-cleared all browsers on my computer, tried the iPad and my computer again and it's still doing the same thing. Thoughts on what else I could do to fix this? I have not been able to do updates for over a week now or post new articles with anything markdown because of this and would greatly appreciate any assistance. 🙂 Thank you and looking forward to hearing thoughts on what I can do to fix this. Michele
  2. Site URL: http://www.pantryphilosophy.com I like how it looks on desktop but when I check on mobile, the lines show too close to each other.
  3. Hi, I'm trying to move a markdown block to the bottom of the first section using code. I uploaded an example image where I want the white box to be touching the bottom. Please help asap.
  4. Site URL: https://www.eggonyourfacefilm.com/directors-statement-1 I would like to move the markdown box, that displays ABOUT and the subsuquent text to the right side of the page. How do I do?
  5. I have markdown blocks on multiple pages that utilize dropdown sections upon selection. For example, you click a title and then all the text for that title drops down, click the title again and all the text closes up. However, every time I am going to the page, before the page is fully loaded (for 1s), you can see all the drop-down text displayed. The drop-down text then closes up and becomes hidden once the page is fully loaded. How to resolve this issue? i.e., how to ensure the drop-down text is hidden from the start? Below is the embedded script code on each page that utilizes these dropdown sections. <script type="text/javascript" src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('.markdown-block .sqs-block-content h3').css('cursor','pointer'); $(".markdown-block .sqs-block-content h3").nextUntil("h3").slideToggle(); $(".markdown-block .sqs-block-content h3").click(function() {$(this).nextUntil("h3").slideToggle();}); }); </script>
  6. Hi, I created a markdown option on my website, what is the code for the markdown to collapse once users are down reading the markdown content?
  7. hi everyone, I have a page with around 24 people profiles on it. The design is brilliant, kindly supplied by @tuanphan, I'm having problems with the font size and the height and width of the box. I can change the font size so it looks perfect for the desktop, but it looks too small on the mobile version. Any ideas? Also, depending how much information is in each box determines how high the box is. As you can see, some boxes are deeper than others, is there a way of making them all the same height? Finally, is there a way of reducing the width of the boxes on the mobile version? https://oarfish-salmon-gpgd.squarespace.com/config/design password: criminaljustice Many thanks.
  8. Site URL: http://www.scienceisWEIRD.com This seems like it should be so easy, but I can't figure it out -- nor can I find anyone asking about this online! I'm using Markdown (so I can do some strikethrough text). I'd like to make the text in the Paragraph 1 style. I can find out how to make the text in a HEADER style. I can find out how to pick the specific font, color, size of the text. What I can't figure out how to do is to just set it to be "Paragraph 1" style. Any help?
  9. Hello, I am using html code in markdown: <span style="color:#fff; font-family: 'Bebas Neue'; font-size: 4em;">INSPIRATION DAY</span> I want to apply Bebas Neue font style (which is included in the font family) but it does not apply to the text... Thanks for your help! Ohyoon
  10. Site URL: https://www.boutique14.co.uk/home1 Hi, Bit of a tricky one (for me). On this page: https://www.boutique14.co.uk/home1 I have three markdown boxes underneath images. On desktop they look fine (see attached image). They are the ones with a pink background saying "Personal Service"; "Custom Samples"; "Matching Stationery". However, on a screen size where the text goes over onto two lines the markdown box obviously changes shape to accommodate. This can be on any device, but a good example is on mobile in landscape (see second attached image). This throws out the visuals on this section of the page and looks messy. Is there some way I can CSS it so that if one box goes over onto two lines then they all do? Thanks.
  11. Hello! Website: www.shopmaisaguam.com How do I expand the content width for this area on my homepage I created with a markdown block?
  12. Is there a way to edit the size of an image that is embedded within a markdown block? Currently I'm trying to created a bulleted "to-do" checklist of many items to show which items have been completed and which are still outstanding. That said, I've successfully added the images to the markdown block by using the reference style code found on the current cheat sheet: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206543587-Markdown-cheat-sheet Reference-style: ![alt text][id] [id]: /url/to/img.jpg "Title" However, the images are now significantly way too big for the text. Is there a way to scale down the image size within the markdown block code? Thanks in advance.
  13. I am trying to figure out how to correctly use this number reference format that squarespace uses for inserting links in markdown blocks. Below is the code that I have for the block. I'd like my custom button to link to the "eligibility" page. What I get now is a 400 error page. Thanks in advance for any help! <div style="background-color:#002447;color:#ffffff;padding:30px">The focus of Kaihatsu Mentoring is to find the best university options for the fencer. The student athlete will benefit from advice on university and tournament planning, analysis, and the insight gained from Kaihatsu’s over 35 years of fencing experience and 27 years of NCAA recruiting and coaching. <br> <p><a href=["/eligibility"][1] class="myButton">Learn more</a></p></div> [1]: /eligibility
  14. Site URL: https://mjrlandscape.squarespace.com/ @tuanphanI am working on a markdown block and I have a numbered list. If I use </br></br> after the numbered list the following paragraph is indented like the numbered list. If I use a regular return (return key) is adds a horizontal rule. What I am after is a regular return (return key) without the horizontal rule. Any ideas?
  15. I have a disturbing problem. When using markdowns with the code: <div style="text-align:center"><span style="font-family:AVAYX; font-size:1.8em; color:black">**SOME OF OUR LATEST PROJECTS**</span> The font appear on my computer, but when I visit my site on my iphone the font in the markdown is changed to another.. looks like times new roman or something similar, but not the font that I'm using in the markdown.. What is wrong? Why isn't the markdown show the correct font in responsive view?
  16. Site URL: https://projectaccess.org/curriculum-home Hi, I'm working on this Squarespace site but one Markdown is bugging out. Is anyone familiar with it and does anyone know how to fix this? See screenshot. Thank you so much already. Kind regard, Kjeld
  17. Site URL: https://goose-magnolia-r53a.squarespace.com/config/settings/site-visibility how do i add a hover colour for my markdown FAQ section? Also is there a way of centering these and maybe making font size smaller and padding smaller on mobile? password: Orlabean16
  18. I followed these steps https://poshsecurity.com/blog/powershell-syntax-highlighting-with-squarespace and within my blog it works ( while I'm in sqaurespace) See first attached pic. But when it is published it looks like normal code without the syntax highlighting.. I've tried a code block to call out powershell and I've used markdown like in the tutorial and both have the same result. Any ideas? ----update I notice when I hit refresh on the page it displays properly----
  19. Site URL: https://goose-magnolia-r53a.squarespace.com/config/settings/site-visibility hey how do i add a hover colour on my markdown text? Also how do i add a horizontal line after each question? When i insert one it seems to break the dropdown answer functionality password:Orlabean16
  20. I'm wondering if someone can help me to fix a padding issue. I have added a markdown box (with a H5 and H6). The text has a large gap between the headings and I'm wondering if there's any way to make the gap smaller? I've checked the Syntax cheat sheet but there's no help for this. https://khp-landing.squarespace.com/ The site password is 'pa33word' Thanks in advance :) Claire.
  21. Site URL: http://rachelthor.com/ Hi there, I've been following the squarespace forum for adding code that allows me to create drop-down menus where only the heading is visible until you click it, then it toggles open to a longer explanation (often used for FAQs). This successfully worked for me on the last page I created on my site. This time around however, I'm trying to use the same code and it's weirding out on me. Working the first time I load a preview and then staying forever open after that, or continuously bouncing between open and closed. I am wondering if I have the code doubled somewhere and it's confusing itself, or what suggestions you have for clearing house and starting over to get this working across my whole site?
  22. Site URL: http://www.mattravenelle.com/wyth I am creating an expanding section but I cannot find any way to insert images into the expanded section as shown below. I tried to insert code using Markdown Monster to create embedded images but when I place them on my website they do not show up. Haven't found anything online to help me with this. Please help!
  23. Site URL: http://www.scienceisWEIRD.com Hullo! I'm trying to put a shadow behind some of my headings (they're against an image, and they can be hard to see). Right now, I'm trying to do it with a Markdown box. I'm entering the following... <span style="text-shadow:2px 2px 3px #000;"> Next class starts April 27, 2020 • Open for all kids ages 9 – 12 • ADHD/2e students especially welcome </span> ...which works great — the shadow's perfect — but it automatically styles the text as Paragraph 2 (I'm pretty sure). I'd like it to be a heading. When I put <h2> in, as follows... <span style="text-shadow:2px 2px 3px #000;"> <h2> Next class starts April 27, 2020 • Open for all kids ages 9 – 12 • ADHD/2e students especially welcome </h2> </span> ...the shadow disappears. (The same thing happens with <h1>, <h3>, and <h4>. I'd also test this with paragraph 1, paragraph 2, etc. fonts, but I'm enough of a noob to not know how to do that.) Does anyone have a notion of how I can get heading text to have a shadow behind it? Much thanks in advance!
  24. Site URL: https://www.lulucheng.com/writing i added a markdown block so i could embed an email signup form for my Substack newsletter. this is the html code i received from Substack to do that: <iframe src="https://lulu.substack.com/embed" width="480" height="320" style="border:1px solid #EEE; background:white;" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe> however, when i paste this code into the markdown block editor, it left aligns the signup form (white box below the 'sign up' button): how do i center the signup form on the page? i'm using the sofia template. thanks for any help or insight! p.s. i removed the markdown block from https://www.lulucheng.com/writing for now, but the screenshot i've attached shows the issue i'm describing.
