  1. Site URL: https://www.dbtherd.com/ Hoping someone can help - I've been using a code block + markdown block to insert a drop-down at the bottom of my recipe posts that says "click for nutrition information". It's been working fine thus far, but it didn't work for my last post (it's not hiding). I've been following the same steps, so I'm not sure what's going on. Here's the post that's giving me trouble: https://www.dbtherd.com/blog/hummus-crusted-veggies Any help is much appreciated!
  2. I am trying to add "no-follow" links to our shop, and blogs. In our shop, for instance, I would like to have a button that says: "buy now" but I would like the link to be no-follow. The only way I've found I'm able to add no-follow links is by adding them in a markdown. I'm wondering if it would be possible to create a button either in the Markdown or the Code content clocks that could be no-follow. This is one of the pages I'd like to do this: https://www.heartwoodcustomvans.com/shop-van-conversion-build-tools Thank you for your help.

I have added .recipeBorder { border: 2px solid #133547; padding: 10px; outline: #133547 solid 5px; outline-offset: 5px; } to the custom CSS and then in the markdown itself added <div class="recipeBorder"> my text </div> The problem is instead of having separate lines for my recipe it all becomes one paragraph ... is there a way to keep the formatting and install the border?

  9. I use a Markdown Block to create a table showing whena particular class is being held. When the class is filled I switch the time column to CLOSED by moving HTML comments between two lines for that column. The Markdown code is shown in Image below. I switch between the actual time and CLOSED by moving the HTML comments (<!-- --> between the two code lines for the time column. This works fine. But for a new class I've entered, with a new time table, inserting an HTML comment around one line generates the "data-preserve" message shown in the image below. As far as I

  13. Hi all, I have set a color for my hyperlinks in the Site Syles section but this color doesn't seem to translate to markdown blocks. I am using a markdown block for an expandable FAQ section and have included some hyperlinks. Unfortunately these links work but they are impossible to see as they remain the same color as the default font. Anyone know how I can have the same color for my hyperlinks in a markdown block? My website is https://www.everlandstudios.com.au Thanks in advance...
  14. I'm not a coder.... I figured out how to make an accordion style dropdown on my page. Can anyone tell me what to add to this to make it look more like a "button?" 15. I'm using Markdown to create an expanding accordion menu. When you first view the page, the text is hidden. You can click to expand a drop down accordion menu that displays nested text. The issue is that the expanded text messes up the way elements below it on the page display. It looks like the images and backgrounds below the markdown do not respond to the expanded text and remain in their initial position, but the text below the markdown does respond to the expanded text and moves further down the page. The result is that the text appears to overlay or overflow on top of the content beneath
  16. Hi I am trying to put a line break into markdown text. The syntax cheatsheet says: *Manual line breaksEnd a line with two or more spaces * I'm not sure if that is correct or I am doing it correctly but that doesn't do anything. I have tried using shift enter but that only gives me a new paragraph. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  17. Can Markdown be used in the Site Title as well? I can't find the + symbol in editing mode of the Site Title. Only the sidebar menu comes up. I'm trying to add the "squared" symbol (2) to the title.
  18. Hi there, The website for www.suzanne-lerner.com looks great but we are experiencing odd word breaks for words that would not normally be hyphenated. I have tried to add code and have replaced the text block with Markup text but nothing seems to work. Code used:h2 { word-wrap: normal; } @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) {h2 { font-size: 24px; } } Margot templateWe are using a custom font In the attached screenshot of mobile view, Markdown text is on top and standard text block on the bottom. 19. Hello! I am working on this site: https://rectangle-gecko-tryt.squarespace.com (password is: test) This site uses the York template. We have a markdown block that contains an embedded catalogue. It looks great on the desktop breakpoint. However, the padding is huge on the mobile and tablet breakpoints. I have been looking on here for tips on how to tighten the padding around/within a markdown block but everything I see on here seems to apply to images or other block types. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in advance!
  20. AVENUE does not allow me, as far as I can see, to style the DESCRIPTION text beyond simple BOLD, ITAL etc. I'd like to be able to add colored text and to display small images. I'm using GALLERY PAGES. I'd also like to have heading styles available. Is there a similar template (all images on homepage, small) and individual gallery pages (large image with DESCRIPTION) that provides the enhancements I mentioned above (text styles/sizes and colors, small image display within text)? Or... is there a way for me to enhance the right column that I can do myself by modifying the template? (I am a desi

  23. Is there a way to edit the size of an image that is embedded within a markdown block? Currently I'm trying to created a bulleted "to-do" checklist of many items to show which items have been completed and which are still outstanding. That said, I've successfully added the images to the markdown block by using the reference style code found on the current cheat sheet: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206543587-Markdown-cheat-sheet Reference-style: ![alt text][id] [id]: /url/to/img.jpg "Title" However, the images are now significantly way too big for the text. 24. Toward the bottom of www.ourhumanherds.com, I have an HTML table with a lot of extra white space above it. When I view the first part of the table in the Squarespace editor, it looks like this: </style> <table> <tr> <th><b>Questions about</b></th> <th id="mind1"><b>Moral Mind 1</b></th> <th id="mind2"><b>Moral Mind 2</b></th> </tr> <tr> But when I view the source from a browser, there are all those extra br tags. 25. Hi everyone! I’m having some trouble with markdown and I’m hoping someone in the community might be able to help. Using markdown, my goal is to have a line of text in H2 centered AND fade to a different color when you hover over it. Using the code below, I’ve been able to get the text to fade when I hover over it using the markdown code below. But I haven’t been able to figure out how to center it, it stays left-aligned. There is also a strange thin line that’s appearing under the text that I’m not sure how to remove. (Screenshot of code is attached as the Squarespace forum translated the
