  1. How do I scale images using makrdown language.
  2. Is there a way to edit the size of an image that is embedded within a markdown block? Currently I'm trying to created a bulleted "to-do" checklist of many items to show which items have been completed and which are still outstanding. That said, I've successfully added the images to the markdown block by using the reference style code found on the current cheat sheet: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206543587-Markdown-cheat-sheet Reference-style: ![alt text][id] [id]: /url/to/img.jpg "Title" However, the images are now significantly way too big for the text. Is there a way to scale down the image size within the markdown block code? Thanks in advance.
  3. Toward the bottom of www.ourhumanherds.com, I have an HTML table with a lot of extra white space above it. When I view the first part of the table in the Squarespace editor, it looks like this: </style> <table> <tr> <th><b>Questions about</b></th> <th id="mind1"><b>Moral Mind 1</b></th> <th id="mind2"><b>Moral Mind 2</b></th> </tr> <tr> But when I view the source from a browser, there are all those extra br tags. It's obviously the br tags that are causing the unwanted white space, but where are they coming from? </style> <br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><table data-preserve-html-node="true"> <tbody><tr data-preserve-html-node="true"> <th data-preserve-html-node="true"><b data-preserve-html-node="true">Questions about</b></th> <th data-preserve-html-node="true" id="mind1"><b data-preserve-html-node="true">Moral Mind 1</b></th> <th data-preserve-html-node="true" id="mind2"><b data-preserve-html-node="true">Moral Mind 2</b></th> </tr> Thanks,Kevin
  4. Hi everyone! I’m having some trouble with markdown and I’m hoping someone in the community might be able to help. Using markdown, my goal is to have a line of text in H2 centered AND fade to a different color when you hover over it. Using the code below, I’ve been able to get the text to fade when I hover over it using the markdown code below. But I haven’t been able to figure out how to center it, it stays left-aligned. There is also a strange thin line that’s appearing under the text that I’m not sure how to remove. (Screenshot of code is attached as the Squarespace forum translated the code when I typed it below) My website is using the Mentor template, and it’s at https://inmymindconference.com. Thanks so much for your help!
  5. I'm using the Basil template, and need to centre text using Markdown for a single section of an Index page. I've referred to other posts and used their suggestions, but they are not working. it is likely to be something small that I'm doing wrong. I'd be really grateful for help please. I've copied & pasted my Markdown below, and attached a colour screenshot of the same. <strong>Win A Free Engagement Session!</strong> Many thanks for any help!
  6. I am trying to include an embedded affiliate image to my client's website as her work was featured on a blog. Using Brine template. I have tried implementing the code via Markdown and a Code block. I am having an issue reducing the padding around the image itself as seen in the screenshot below. I can't seem to get it centered in the markdown block. I am wanting the embedded image and the image block next to it to be the same size and sit nicely next to each other. Best way to do this? I am still learning code and have nearly pulled my hair out trying this!! Also want this adjusted for mobile view. 8. Wondering how I can make text appear to be small and float at the top kind of like an annotation. Pretty much exactly like this website is doing: http://www.peiliew.com/ Have been looking around but couldn't find anything. Thanks!
  9. Hi there! Just wondering if anyone could help in regards to making a collapsible "click to reveal" type of text on this page for the text that isn't in bold font. Just to make the page less cluttered: http://www.malamoonphoto.com.au/pricing-packages/#sessions Thanks, I appreciate your time, Suz :)
  10. Hi everyone, I am using this coding for text in a markdown box. All of it works with the exception of, "text-align: center". Can someone please let me know how to properly get the alignment code to work? Thanks. Unfortunately I am unable to add a link to the page this on because it is not enabled yet. <span style="color:red; font-family:Georgia; text-align:center; font-size:2em;">The goal of the Women’s Enterprise Action Loan Fund, (WEALF): helping women business owners become financially self-sufficient.
  11. I'm looking to to add a colored square around blocks of text to act as a border for those sections. Is there any custom CSS/MarkDown script that could achieve this? If possible, it would be great to have this happen around multiple blocks as well (for pairing a description with a video, etc). Thanks.
  12. Hello, I am using html code in markdown: <span style="color:#fff; font-family: 'Bebas Neue'; font-size: 4em;">INSPIRATION DAY</span> I want to apply Bebas Neue font style (which is included in the font family) but it does not apply to the text... Thanks for your help! Ohyoon
  13. I am using a markup block to create some text content with different formatting than the typography styles I am currently using in the style editor. Everything I have set in the custom CSS menu is correctly targeting the markup block text, aside from the 'text-align' property. No matter the setting, the text remains left justified. I would like it to be centered justified, however. Below is the CSS I am using: scenario { font-style: normal; text-align: left; font-weight: 300; font-size: 20px; line-height: 1.8em; color: #2e4259; } Any thoughts on why this text refuses to center align would be greatly appreciated!
  14. I found this link that was supposed to answer my question: How do I add a border around a text/block? However, when I go on inspect element on my browser (Chrome), I only see the YUI - I can’t find the block ID (Is something strange happening to the way YUIxxx…?) The problem is I don’t understand what they’re saying. Could anyone help me/explain how I can frame a Text Block?
  15. I am trying to create a header featuring four links to reference points below on a page in my website. I've gotten the words appropriately spaced and I now only need to center the four words. I've attached a screenshot of my conundrum as my site is not yet live. I'd like the top four words (the HTML references) to match the bottom four words (just plain old text that is centered) Any help is appreciated!
  16. I’m building a site — firstpersonessaycoaching.com — and I’d like to hide the answers to the questions on my FAQ page so that they are revealed when you click on the text of the question. I read Silvabokis’ How to create hide/show FAQs in Squarespace — but I would be out of my depth with jQuery. Would someone be able to suggest another way, or perhaps provide a little more guidance for the jQuery suggestions so that someone with very little experience can do it? Thanks in advance.
  17. I was wondering how to add target="_blank" to a Markdown link in the Markdown block. Any idea to open link a new tab?
  18. I've tried using the < del>< /del> html tag, but is there something special I need to do with Markdown in order to get the text strikethrough to appear in my text block?
