  1. Site URL: https://www.elevateptr.com/cost Hi - I'm trying to make a pricing grid like the below website and attached screen shots. I was trying to do this via markdown, but the paragraph text & button are not showing up. Below is the css I was using. This is the overall look and feel I was going for (look at the initial assessment box): https://www.trailphysio.ca/ // Info Box // .sqs-block-markdown { max-width: 600px; background: #ffffff; border: #DDDDDD 1px solid; border-radius: 0px; padding: 30px !important; margin: 20px; text-align: left; } // Info Box Title // .sqs-block-markdown h2 { color: #000000; font-size: 26px; letter-spacing: 0px; padding: 20px 30px 0px 30px; } // Info Box Text Info // .sqs-block-markdown p { padding: 10px 30px 30px 30px; margin: 0; font-size: 16px; text-transform: none; letter-spacing: 1px; line-height: 28px; color: #181818; } // Info Box Button // .sqs-block-markdown a { font-weight: 200; font-size: 15px; text-transform: none; display: inline-block; border: 1px solid black !important; padding: 15px 30px !important; background-color: white; color: black !important; border-radius: 0px; } .sqs-block-markdown a:hover { background-color: black !important; color: white !important; }
  2. Site URL: https://www.roadsafetytrust.org.uk Hi. I am not a coder at all and have never used markdown until today (but have produced quite a lot of Squarespace sites). What I would like to know is if anyone has found a way to make external links open in a new window when using markdown? I wanted to produce a list of FAQs that you click on the title to expand. I thought I had found the solution, until I tested the page. See: www.roadsafetytrust.org.uk/faqs-md If anyone has a solution, I would be really, really grateful. Even if it means buying a plug-in. Thank you! Lynne
  3. See image for reference. The grey words do not align with the "Example Title" or each other. Is there a way to align them? I'm totally stuck. Code: <h2 style="color: font-size: 21px;"> **Example Title**<span style="color: grey; font-size: 21px; font-weight: 400;"> |</span><span style="color: grey; font-size: 17px; font-weight: 400;"> Washington DC </span><div style="color: grey; text-align: right; font-size: 17px; font-weight: 400;"> Photography: Word </div></h2> Thanks!
  4. <h2 style="color: black; font-size: 20px;"> **Example Title**</h2><span style="color: black; letter-spacing: 0.09em; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400;"> |</span> <span style="letter-spacing: 0.09em; font-size: 14px; font-weight: 400;"> Washington DC </span> <span style="color: black; letter-spacing: 0.04em; font-size: 17px; font-weight: 300;"> **Example Title**</span> <span style="color: black; letter-spacing: 0.09em; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400;"> |</span> <span style="letter-spacing: 0.09em; font-size: 14px; font-weight: 400;"> Washington DC </span> EDIT: Using Markdown So I'm trying to use the heading font, with a paragraph font next to it (similar to the second example). However using the h2 forces a line break. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? And to have it only happen in this instance. ie. not across the site. To clarify. In the first bit of code I try and use the h2 heading but it causes a line break. In the second bit of code I don't use the h2 to show what I want it to look like in terms of placement. But I'd like to use h2 rather than a large version of the paragraph size. Thanks.
  5. Hi I'm fairly new to Squarespace and have very basic coding skills. I'm setting up a website for my company and they proposed to have a form (preferably form block) inserted into the "Personalised Advice" menu in the markdown block. Is that possible? I'm using Wells as the theme. Would not be keen if we have to create a form HTML template... Any info/advice will be great, thank you 🙂
  6. Hi I'm trying to create a headline & sub-headline of different sizes much closer vertically than the standard padding that adding two text blocks generates. I assumed I needed to do this with a markdown block. I tried it and it works but it causes errors on my page, namely it cause some other blocks to disappear outside of the editor. Here's the code I used: <span style="font-size: 20px;">Product title(1p)</span><br> <span style="text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 0.09em; font-size: 15px;">$price</span> Anyone have a better markdown code block for this common issue? Or is there another way I should be looking to address it? If you can see it, it's at: https://apricots-fuchsia-m3r5.squarespace.com/gear Thanks!
  7. I'm having an issue I can't seem to find an answer to, I'm sorry if this has already been posted. I'm trying to change the color of a couple lines of text within a markdown box. The phone number seems to be working but the email address isn't and I'm not sure why. I don't want to use a "mailto" link. The code is here... <p class="sqsrte-large"> We can be reached via email <span style="color:#3fa7d7">info@email.com</span> or phone <span style="color:#3fa7d7">555.555.5555</span></p>
  8. Site URL: https://www.travisvoice.com/about how do I edit the text size for a mark down box for mobile view? Ive already added syntax for the markdown box for desktop view including font size, weight, and style, but its too large for mobile desktop vs current mobile view
  9. Site URL: https://sterlington.net/ Hi, I need to know how to change a link color into a markdown blok. The one that appears is to light and I can barely read it.
  10. Hi, I want to create a dropdown link with text popping up, but without using the markdown option, reason being that I cannot customise the markdown text boxes as needed, as I would like two text boxes next to each other that drop down through the same dropdown, and potentially even be able to add an image to the dropdown. Does anyone happen to have a CSS code for this?
  11. Site URL: https://epumford.com I'm having some trouble with the font spacing in my markdown on mobile devices. Ideally, in the Honors & Awards section, I want to have the date with the event to the right of it, and on mobile have it wrap around without appearing directly below the date. I do not want it to appear as it does here. However, worst case-scenario, I would like to reduce the font size of the date on mobile. When I re-define the font as h4 in CSS, it unfortunately puts the event on the line below instead of next to it. This prevents me from implementing the @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) {h4 { font-size: 14px;} CSS. How can I prevent this, or is there any alternative to a Markdown that will let me have the date next to the event without stacking on mobile? Markdown code: <p><span style="font-family:Proxima-Nova; font-size:1.3em; color: black;">2020</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;NSF GRFP Honorable Mention, NSF <br> <span style="font-family:Proxima-Nova; font-size:1.3em;color: black;">2019</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Graduate Dean’s Scholar Award, Graduate Division, UCLA <br> <span style="font-family:Proxima-Nova; font-size:1.3em;color: black;">2019</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Undergraduate Research Scholar Designation, Office of Undergraduate Research <br> <span style="font-family:Proxima-Nova; font-size:1.3em;color: black;">2018</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Travel Grant Award, Office of Undergraduate Research <br> <span style="font-family:Proxima-Nova; font-size:1.3em;color: black;">2018</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;1st Place Poster, Bioengineering Symposium <br> <span style="font-family:Proxima-Nova; font-size:1.3em;color: black;">2018</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Graduate Research Assistantship, Department of Bioengineering <br> <span style="font-family:Proxima-Nova; font-size:1.3em;color: black;">2015-18</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Dean’s List, University of Utah <br> <span style="font-family:Proxima-Nova; font-size:1.3em;color: black;">2017</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program Award, 2x, University of Utah</p>
  12. How do I make my colours to invert when the mobile site is loaded. On desktop, it loads with white text on a black background, but I want black text with a white background for mobile. Also, I would like to get ride of the line break "BOOK your ride, and more" on the mobile site. Here is my current markdown code: <div style="background-color:black; text-align:left; vertical-align: middle; padding:20px 0;"> <h1 style="background-color:black;">WE KNOW YOU'RE BUSY.</h1> </div> <div style="background-color:black; text-align:left; vertical-align: middle; padding:10px 0; margin-top:10px"> <h4>Access your account, BOOK your ride, and more,<br>while you’re on the go with our <b>mobile app!</b></h4> </div> <div class="black">
  13. Hey. How to add an anchor link in markdown block? I have a code with sup tags and cant figure out whether it's possible to have a anchor link. <p><span style="color: #282828; letter-spacing: 0.02em; font-size: 26px; font-weight: 400;"> Write 10
  14. Site URL: https://www.do2digital.com/ Hello, I created side by side markdown block with text. They looked completely normal on desktop view and mobile view because I changed the border-size in css. But the texts are overflowing on tablet view (iPad). Is it possible to make the 2 side-by-side markdown blocks have the same height and prevent the text from overflowing? @tuanphan Thank you. Here is the link to that page: https://www.do2digital.com/blog/tipstricks/productivity/free-screen-recorders-2020

  17. Site URL: https://ionicons.com/ Hi everyone, I found out that https://ionicons.com/ is similar to Font Awesome, in which you can use designed icons on your website. However, I couldn't figure out how to use their icons in Squarespace. Does anyone know how to do it? I need to install it to the Squarespace 7.0 Brine template. I installed this text from their website to do Code Injection Header <script src="https://unpkg.com/ionicons@5.1.2/dist/ionicons.js"></script> Then add this code to the Markdown , but nothing happened. <ion-icon name="heart"></ion-icon> Am I doing anything wrong? Thank you.
  18. Site URL: http://www.pantryphilosophy.com I like how it looks on desktop but when I check on mobile, the lines show too close to each other.
  19. Hi, I'm trying to move a markdown block to the bottom of the first section using code. I uploaded an example image where I want the white box to be touching the bottom. Please help asap.
  20. Site URL: https://www.vamicreations.com Hello all, I have a question regarding the Markdown blocks and adding the nofollow coding. I've done the coding that others here have recommended multiples times (my entire site (https://www.vamicreations.com) is filled with these and I have never had an issue with them till now). About a week ago, every time I started either changing something small (even deleting a space or adding one) in a markdown block of already posted articles or even creating a new post and using the same exact code for the nofollow affiliate links, all nofollow links show to <a data-preserve-html-node="true" href= link and the rest of the code from other nofollow links...I am stumped as I have talked with Squarespace help who has checked coding and everything on their end and not found anything wrong - i.e. it renders fine for them, even on my site. On my end, I have cleared any browsers I have used of caches, cookies, and history, restarted my computer, restarted the router, re-cleared all browsers on my computer, tried the iPad and my computer again and it's still doing the same thing. Thoughts on what else I could do to fix this? I have not been able to do updates for over a week now or post new articles with anything markdown because of this and would greatly appreciate any assistance. 🙂 Thank you and looking forward to hearing thoughts on what I can do to fix this. Michele
  21. Site URL: https://www.eggonyourfacefilm.com/directors-statement-1 I would like to move the markdown box, that displays ABOUT and the subsuquent text to the right side of the page. How do I do?
  22. Hi, I created a markdown option on my website, what is the code for the markdown to collapse once users are down reading the markdown content?
  23. Site URL: http://www.scienceisWEIRD.com This seems like it should be so easy, but I can't figure it out -- nor can I find anyone asking about this online! I'm using Markdown (so I can do some strikethrough text). I'd like to make the text in the Paragraph 1 style. I can find out how to make the text in a HEADER style. I can find out how to pick the specific font, color, size of the text. What I can't figure out how to do is to just set it to be "Paragraph 1" style. Any help?
  24. Site URL: https://www.boutique14.co.uk/home1 Hi, Bit of a tricky one (for me). On this page: https://www.boutique14.co.uk/home1 I have three markdown boxes underneath images. On desktop they look fine (see attached image). They are the ones with a pink background saying "Personal Service"; "Custom Samples"; "Matching Stationery". However, on a screen size where the text goes over onto two lines the markdown box obviously changes shape to accommodate. This can be on any device, but a good example is on mobile in landscape (see second attached image). This throws out the visuals on this section of the page and looks messy. Is there some way I can CSS it so that if one box goes over onto two lines then they all do? Thanks.
  25. hi everyone, I have a page with around 24 people profiles on it. The design is brilliant, kindly supplied by @tuanphan, I'm having problems with the font size and the height and width of the box. I can change the font size so it looks perfect for the desktop, but it looks too small on the mobile version. Any ideas? Also, depending how much information is in each box determines how high the box is. As you can see, some boxes are deeper than others, is there a way of making them all the same height? Finally, is there a way of reducing the width of the boxes on the mobile version? https://oarfish-salmon-gpgd.squarespace.com/config/design password: criminaljustice Many thanks.
