Is anybody having issues attaching links in list items in 7.1 today? I added a section from people, a carousel list and when I try to attach my link, by pressing the button "Attach Link" the option disappears just to show me the button text. Am I missing something, I tested it in Chrome and Safari and it's happening in both...I've refreshed, logged in and out and it still won't work. I've attached pictures, the third is when I press "Attach Link", the option just disappears, anybody having this issue? Maybe its a simple fix

Projects — Basking Bee - Google Chrome 2024-04-23 18-15-24.mp4 I'm trying to add links to other pages on my website using the buttons below these pictures. It has worked for most of them (see image), but for the two projects in the video, clicking "Attach Link" doesn't do anything. I've closed/reopened the editor several times, but I have no clue what could be causing this glitch.

Help! The top banners on our site’s pages display as cropped when their direct link is searched. Examples: berkeleypottersstudio.org/sally-jo-dinwoodie berkeleypottersstudio.org/tali-reicher If you reload the page after clicking on the link it will then display correctly. Squarespace support said that it seems that the code we've added to the Link in our Secondary Navigation is causing this issue on our site. I have created the affiliate details as a blog, but we would like to also feature it as a product, but instead of having the buy now button linking to a value on our website, send it directly to an affiliate link. How do we add an affiliate link button into a product? Is this possible to direct the customer to another website only for one product?

Hi, I am new to square space and have created my first square space website.. now the site is launched i would like to go back over and customise / develop the site for better user experiences. One of the snags on my list is to make the following image have clickable links, firstly is this possible? I would like the ability for the user to be able to click on one of our products which leads them to our main product page on our parent site. Hi everyone, I'm trying to find a way to prevent a page from refreshing when a visitor clicks on a button block that is currently not linked. I have tried adding the following css code to the relevant section of the homepage, but I want to disable only buttons that are currently not linked. This code disabled all the buttons in the section. My homepage is a brief slideshow of a variety of projects. On mobile view, the viewer has to click the bars to access the navigation. I'd like to be able to click an image in addition. I can link to the general "Portfolio" page, which shows 3 page options. Each of those 3 options links to an index page with different galleries to click on. Instead of going to the general Portfolio page, I'd like to go to one of the index pages (hope I'm calling it the right thing), https://www.paulagoldman.com/portfolios/art. But I don't see this page as a link option, just the separate galleries that exist as unlinked pages. Thanks.

Hi, I just started my fitness business and I am doing blogs and information posts on the site, but I also have some affiliate partners that I would like to support and I did create a "shopping page" with pictures and affiliate links. The problem is that the links keep changing to other products... So when someone wants to buy a hat, they may be directed to a headband instead. I want the links to stay put after i save. I want links to external URLs on my blog to open in a new tab. I follow the instructions that Squarespace offers but it does not work. See screenshots below. I can toggle the option on but as soon as I click outside the block editor the toggle goes back to being off. Any idea when this issue will be fixed? It's pretty vital that we are able to have links open in a new tab. Thanks, April

I created an anchor link on one of my pages. It refreshes the page and goes to the correct anchor link position. How do I tell the site to just scroll to the anchor link position and not refresh the page to the location? I am missing some custom code or settings?

My footer links have an underline that are too close to the text. Is there custom code to move the underline away from the text and give it more space? Thanks!

When I try to add links to images, the box to do so shows up and then the page freezes. I first had this problem a couple of weeks ago. It lasted three days and then resolved itself. Now it's back, and Squarespace support insists it must be the result of custom code I added. I wouldn't know custom code if it bit me on the nose, so I certainly didn't add anything. Has anybody experienced this problem before?

If you look at the photo, this is just a youtube video that has one category showing. However, I have several categories that I would want people to choose from but it looks like it stays stuck on this page and the meta category this video is assigned to is the only place they can go back to. Since this is a video gallery page there is not a collection to target, only items page and I cannot target say 30+ plus individual gallery item post. So, is there a way to re-create my categories at top OR I would even be okay with just a "ALL" next to the meta data that goes back to the main gallery page. I tried to create an "All" category but it does not show up as the first word on the meta data link. If I have two other categories the "All" category can show up last. This is still in it's rough draft so is there another video gallery page that I should choose that will give me this option. These are going to be nothing more than video links. Hi all, So i'm trying to create a banner slideshow that has a card with a title on it. I want the entire image to be clickable so it goes to the gallery where the image is from. My struggle right now is that, when I edit the card, it looks dreadful on a mobile device, so i'm trying to set this up to work on both desktop and mobile. Any help gratefully appreciated. I want the banner slideshow to auto change, but the viewer can click on any of the images and be taken directly to the project where the image belongs. How can i change the size and position of the card, depending on which device is being used?

I built this site for a friend and he's got one pet peeve that he can't get around. He uses a Chrome extension called HoverZoom that enlarges any image you hover over. His problem is that he does not want this effect when he hovers over his logo in the header. Is there a way to treat that header logo differently than an image while still appearing the same and functioning the same as the home button? Many thanks!

Hi, I am currently having some Professional online Photobook Designer software installed. As part of this I need my clients to be able to visit my Squarespace website to select their bespoke book specification via a number of different product variants. When they have finalised their spec, instead of ‘adding to cart’ and ‘Checking out’ I would like the ‘add to cart’ button to redirect to the online Photobook Designer Software via a link/url There will be no need to ‘checkout’ via my Squarespace website as the software has it’s own Shopping Cart/Checkout option. This will only be for some new specific products, I will need my existing products to check out as normal. I hope this makes sense.. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you 🙏

Hello everyone, Last year, I worked with a client to create a website, and they have recently contacted me again to make some updates and fix some issues with "ahref" bad links. The website is functioning perfectly, but it appears to be generating errors. Upon examining the Excel document sent by my client, I have identified that most of the errors can be traced back to the dropdown menu folder, specifically "Services and Resources." Hi All I have 3 sections on my homepage that use background images. Is it possible using CSS to make these clickable links? So they can link to my product category pages. I'm using a Squarespace template that uses a portfolio of images. I want to link each image to a specific URL external to the squarespace website that I'm building. When I try to add the URL, my only option is URL slug. How can I link to an external URL?

How can I build a link to download images as files, not display them as images? This page on our site offers our artists images they can download and use. Users should receive the image as a file in their download folder, not open the image onscreen. (Many of these users are not very technology-friendly. Telling them to bring up a context menu and choose "save image as..." will defeat many of them, and it's hard to quickly summarize all the ways to open context menus under different desktop and phone OS's.) How do I make download links for image files in Squarespace behave the same way links behave for other file types?

Hi! Wondering if anyone is having the same issue or can help me solve. I have anchor links set up on all my main navigation pages, and they work great on desktop. For each anchor link, I have a code block with an #id that I place a little further above the section header so the position it scrolls to isn't thrown off by the header. On mobile, this doesn't seem to work all the time. The links still scroll, but no matter where I place the anchor link blocks, there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to the exact position they scroll to. It's in the general area I want it but the spacing is not consistent. For example, on the /visit page on mobile, the code block containing the #id for the first anchor link "public hours" is placed behind the orange box and scrolls down midway the image to display the heading "public hours". This block is positioned 4 rows above where I want it to land and it works great like all the desktop ones. However the "entrances" code block containing the #id is also positioned 4 rows above the heading "entrances," yet the scroll position lands further down than expected. These blocks are identical size on mobile and are both code blocks with identical span tags (other than the #id of course). If I move the id block for entrances up a couple rows thinking that would be the simple fix, it doesn't change where it lands. I'm not quite sure what the issue here is. Does anyone else notice these inconsistencies with the scroll-to position for anchor links on mobile, or am I missing something?
