  1. Site URL: https://flugelhorn-bison-kx3a.squarespace.com/ Hi, my new website looks fine on mobile view/iphone and desktop, but when i checked it out on my ipad, it looks a little off. Firstly, its showing the hamburger menu, can I change this? I think the ipad screen is big enough to show the desktop menu. Secondly, the page doesn't fit on the screen, its too wide, so there is a horizontal scroll, almost likes its zoomed in, but you can't zoom out. Thanks
  2. Site URL: https://kowalacreative.com Hey everyone, On our website, the menu overlaps on iPad in portrait mode. Without changing any header text sizes, is there a way to force the mobile hamburger menu on a tablet’s portrait mode?
  3. Site URL: http://www.gregjardin.com Hello everyone, I have a background video on the main page of my site which plays great, and I was able to hide it for mobile, but when I view it on iPad, it simply won't play. For the moment, I've hidden it, but, is it possible for the video to actually play on iPad? I've seen other sites that have this feature working, not sure if squarespace simply can't do this or not? Thank you!
  4. Site URL: http://https%3A%5C%5Cwww.adjojewellery.co.uk Hello, Is there anyway to change the font size on the iPad version, it's overlapping my logo on the right side and is moves down on the left, see attached. My website hasn't launched yet so would appreciate some help. Thanks
  5. Site URL: https://www.mattportch.com Hi, I've added code to my page settings to get padding left and right throughout my site. It works great on DESKTOP and MOBILE view but on IPAD view, the header doesn't align with the image - any ideas how to align them? my code is: p
  6. Site URL: https://cat-harpsichord-8zm4.squarespace.com/ On my ipad, the alignment of a paragraph and the image is different than laptop, can I fix that with css? also the button changes from one line of text to 2 on my ipad view, is there a way to change that in css? 7. I am using 7.1 So I made my site when viewed on desktop, everything is aligned. However once the page starts to get lower resolution, say on an ipad, things get misaligned. On the desktop, the learn more buttons appear at the same level, but not on the ipad. I assumed the mobile view, where everything stacks vertically, applies to the IPAD, but it seems it does only for the phone. Is there a way to tell squarespace that if someone is using the IPAD, to just stack everything vertically earlier? I don't know how to fix this alignment issue, and I feel if I stack vertically sooner rather than later it will at least solve my problem.
  8. Site URL: http://www.robertbeasleyphotography.com Hoping someone can help with this, My home page is made up of 6 poster images for different categories, as click throughs to other pages. The images have custom css on desktop to reveal text on hover, and for smart devices to automatically show the text. Ive got it all working just the way I want on Desktop and on mobile the text (H2) adapts to the resizing of the images, however on iPad, i just simply cannot get it to work, with the text spreading over two lines. I have attached images of how it displays on all three devices. Hoping someone much cleverer than me can help with a solution which doesn't require me changing the current design Thanks
  9. Site URL: https://www.mattportch.com Hi, Does anyone know how to keep my header (logo and nav) aligned with the image margin on iPad? It's working on desktop view - but when viewed on iPad the header sits inside the margin for some reason... I'm using this code for the padding: @media (min-width: 768px) { header#header, section { padding-left: 9%; padding-right: 9%; }}
  10. Site URL: https://bernardandhawkes.com/photolog Hi, I'm wondering how I can change the width of most of my page content just on iPad. It currently looks fine on Desktop, and I have been changing the width using the built in options in Squarespace for Desktop (I'm on 7.1) but when viewed on iPad the content is very narrow. Any help would be appreciated! Attached a few screenshots of different pages! Thank you!
  11. Site URL: https://smilodon-ocelot-my5f.squarespace.com/store/lostamerica Hi My DESK and MOBILE view display these headings correctly. But somewhere between the two (e.g. ipad) the headings appear too large. Is there a way of controlling this? pass: trythis
  12. Hi, I've added padding to the left and right of my site in DESK view only. However, somewhere between DESK and MOBILE view (or when viewing on an ipad), some of the text columns go too narrow. Is there a way of controlling this so they stay a bit wider like the DESK view?... Pass: trythis
  13. Site URL: https://smilodon-ocelot-my5f.squarespace.com/ Hi, I've added padding to my site in DESK view. However, I've found that somewhere between DESK and MOBILE view, the padding changes and adds extra space to the header. Does anyone know if there is a way to keep the header (logo and nav icon) aligned to the image? pass: trythis Below are landscape and portrait ipad views...
  14. Site URL: https://www.daretothink.co.uk/stop-ios-styling-your-input-fields-and-buttons/ For those of you experiencing annoying curved corners on your "Submit" or "Send" button on your iOS devices - I found the code here or at the link attached: textarea, input.text, input[type="text"], input[type="button"], input[type="submit"], .input-checkbox { -webkit-appearance: none; border-radius: 0; }
  15. Site URL: https://smilodon-ocelot-my5f.squarespace.com/ Hi, Is there a way of making your logo auto scale down when viewing on media in between DESK and MOBILE sizes? Obviously there are other media like small notebooks or ipads. At the moment, with code on my site, my logo just jumps between large for desktop and small for mobile.
  16. Site URL: http://www.ashleyizsak.com I've added CSS to my site to display the homepage in a half and half view on desktop. I've kept it from displaying on the IPAD in vertical view but it's still showing in horizontal view and resulting in a bunch of ridiculously small thumbnails displaying. I would love a solution using CSS to make sure my styling for desktop does not display on the IPAD in either horizontal or vertical.
  17. Site URL: http://www.kleindinst.at Hello! This is my website. When I look at the responsive mode of an iPad in landscape mode the menu (Work, About, Contact) has two rows, but there would be enough space for these three words in one row. It is not possible to change anything in the template settings (Template: Flores) and I also added some code to the website but if I take it out the menu behaves the same way - so it's not the custom code I added that makes the issue. Can you suggest any solution for this? 1. To enlarge the width of this space in general that everything is in one row. or 2. To make no text appear in the mobile view at all and switch to the menu icon with the three stripes directly? Thanks in advance, Anna
  18. Greetings to all ... Unfortunately I have been experiencing a problem for sometime with getting Galleries to scroll either vertically or horizonally on iOS 13.x. I reported this problem a few months ago (when iOS 13 came out) to both apple and to squarespace but I havent been able get a fix yet. Does anybody have some ideas how to get it running properly? If you want to test yourself visit https://thinkbuild.com/soteria-berlin on an ipad running 13.x - or any other gallery on our projects page - and you will see it does not scroll. On an iphone or of course a mac or other machine it works as expected... strange... Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated! Cheers from Berlin, Jason
  19. Hello, I'm looking for a way to create a footer that has two columns on tablet and mobile view like this: and then two separate rows that are on the same line on desktop view: Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
  20. So I found these really cool CSS Hover effects that I would like to use. There are 10 versions and they are really easy to implement thanx to the original authors great tutorial. The only issue seems to be that a few of the effects, including the one I would really like to use does not seem to be touch device friendly. It wouldn't be so bad if the hover effect and text didn't work but they kept the click to linked page but even the link does not work. They just become dead picture that do nothing when touched. (Not: have only tested on a iPad/iPhone but I assume it effects all touch type inputs). Here is the linke to the examples: http://tympanus.net/Tutorials/OriginalHoverEffects/index10.html# Number 10 is the one I would like to use so I am looking for input to see if there is a way to make it "touch friendly" or if anyone else has a similar one that works 100%. I am looking to replace the current version I currently have on my page that only has the "enlarge" aspect to it, but would like a version that allows me to add text. Site to be used on is www.ahsonoz.com. Of course as I have written else where my dream solution would be to have a index like approach from the flatiron template built into a template like five.
