  1. I've been editing my site www.meridianacademy.org these past few weeks. I've add some custom javascript and css and now when I went to work on the new index page I seem to no longer be able to edit it. I know that custom code can have this effect, but does this mean I have to remove the code every time I want to edit the page or can someone see something specific I can adjust? Thank you!
  2. Hey you all! I'm pretty new to SS, so bare with me. I'm trying to reduce the spacing between the video and banner of the index page. It's the black block/banner here on my site to my site www.drpodcasts.com I've tried this code I found here on these forms, but it didn't work: <style> #page { padding-top; 30px; padding-bottom: 0px; } </style> Basically, I want to shorten the size of the banner page so the video is nearly flushed with the video. I know I could do this by going to Design>Styles>INDEX:PAGE>Padding (Overlay Pages), but this affects every index page. I want this type of padding adjustment, but to ONLY affect the index page of where my video is. I've also attached a screenshot of what I'm trying to achieve. Hopefully that makes sense and hopefully someone can help me with this! Thank you!
  3. Hi. I'm using the Flatiron template. When I open an item from the Index in a new tab, the page title and description don't show. I've read on Squarespace that if that page is clicked from Google, then also the page title and description don't show. They'll show only when the page is clicked directly from the Index. Is there any code to solve this issue? Thanks!
  4. Hello! I have a client who wants a one-pager for Phase I of his website, and a multi-page site for Phase II, which will be launched at a later date. The Phase I one-page website should have a sticky header and nav items that smooth-scroll down to the corresponding section below. I know the Pacific template is excellent for this with its stacked Index Page, but I am concerned that my client will not be able to 'build onto' the Pacific template once he's ready for Phase II (a multi-page site). Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make this transition as smooth as possible for my client? Thanks SO much in advance for your advice! 🙃 -Carly
  5. Is it possible to add a Line below Gallery images on Flatiron? I would like to add a Line between the Gallery and the Index Grid that displays below to visually separate the two. Is there custom CSS or HTML that would accomplish this goal? You can see a sample page here: https://www.piccadilley.com/#/environmental-portraits/
  6. Hiya, I'm trying to figure out how to repeat the images on my index page at the bottom of my project pages. Meaning, as you scroll to the bottom of each project page in my portfolio you will then see the same project images and links you will see when you are on the homepage of my site. Temporarily have text links in place now. Have tried a few methods and none have worked. Any chance someone here knows how to sort this out? Thx!Joe barbierijoseph.com
  7. Hello, I am using Horizon. I am creating a multilingual website and I want my Cover Page to link to one of the 2 Index Pages (one for each language). I've noticed that if I set the Cover Page as the homepage I can't see the pages in the navigation. Is it the intended behaviour? any workaround to this? Thanks in advance for any help!
  8. Is there a CSS code I can inject to show the home page banner (index banner block) on all my pages without having to manually create individual image/banner blocks per page; I have custom fitted the index page banner (its padding and margins) using code. If I can inject a line to show the same banner across all my other pages (or selective ones), it would allow for uniformity of design.
  9. Hi friends, I have a health and fitness related blog smiledeliveryonline.com. It's not new and already getting traffic from health related search queries from search engines. But, today i tried to index a new post that is already 24 hours old, but it is showing "it can be indexed if certain conditions follow" and in this conditions i found that "url is not available in live test."Plz see the screenshot for exact details..
  10. What I'm trying to do is keeping the index link active while I browse through the different galleries of my indexes. Have a look here: https://www.manosch.net/work "work" link is active. As soon as I hit on one of the galleries it goes back to non-active although I'm still within "work" as here: https://www.manosch.net/kea-island-for-atlas-magazine-by-etihad Any ideas?
  11. Link to the site in question: ecopatina.com I've set up my other pages just the way I want them using the page indexes and banner images using Basil template, see the About page for example. I want the homepage to be only a responsive full-bleed image with no scrolling, like this landing page I've made. The problem with using this landing page as the home page is the style doesn't perfectly match the rest of the website and it doesn't look very good on mobile. I've seen responses to similar questions on here but they don't seem to work for me. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
  12. Hey! I am trying to index my site, but when I try to do a URL inspection on the Google Search Console I get the following error: No: 'noindex' detected in 'robots' meta tag How do I remove the ‘noindex’? I do not have any Code Injection. Thanks!
  13. Hi all! Having issues with two vertical scroll bars on the Lange template. See image below: A quick fix that I've found is to add .overflow-wrapper {height: 100vh;} to custom CSS , however when I do this the Index Nav Footer does not load when scrolling to the bottom of the page. Upon inspecting the element I've found the following code that seems to be preventing the Index Nav from showing: .index-item-navigation:not(.hide) { opacity: 0; will-change: opacity;} Any chance someone could help out? I'm trying to remove the double scroll bars without affecting the Index Nav Bar. Website is www.mylescooley.com, and the issue can be seen when clicking into the photography index pages.
  14. Looking for a way to create a similar effect as the home page on the website below. I've been experimenting with a few different ways to achieve this and alas, no winners. My brain is coded out. Amber Ladd Home I know this is achieved using a split screen Index Gallery set to slideshow. However, I'm having issues achieving the text to the side of the slideshow on the other half of the screen as shown on the above website. I really like this look for a Home landing page and would like to execute something similar for my own website below. Any help is much appreciated!! Quiddity Design Co Password: Quiddity The landing page it directs you to after entering the password is the page that I would like to implement this design on. @Paul2009 you've been such a wiz on helping me out with some of my questions, while also educating me and it's been fantastic - any insights on how to achieve this style? Thank you!
  15. Hey All - I'm a bit stumped on this one, but I'm trying to create the feeling of automatically returning to my homepage after scrolling through any one project. Can't figure out how to have my index appear in the footer. Any help would be appreciated! This site does exactly what I'm looking for http://www.williamarnold.tv/
  16. has anyone figured out how to have two different images in the header index image space so these 'responsive' templates actually work and look decent when viewing on different platforms. Hoping to have a landscape version of my header image viewed on desktop, and a portrait version for mobile and tablets. @Paul2009 you seem to be a wizard in this area ... any suggestions?
  17. Hi all, I'm looking for a way to create a search function on a site I'm currently putting together where items (in this case properties for rent) can be indexed by the various things they offer in a similar way to how this company does it: https://www.salcombefinest.com/luxury-accommodation/ By selecting options from the list, it then shows only items that for instance have a hot tub or can sleep a certain number of people. Squarespace couldn't help and have told me it's a specialist function. Is this something anyone has any knowledge of? I thought it would be a case of adding categories and/or tags then adding some sort of search that uses those to present the required options but that doesn't appear to be the case. Thanks in advance.
  18. Hello, I'd like to have some images (or videos) as wide as the browser window (full bleed.) Something like this: https://www.stinkstudios.com/work/youmake-wetransfer I've looked into it and it seems like certain templates offer this in their index pages, Brine (according to Squarespace) is one of them (it also offers a header menu similar to the one I made in Avenue, which I'd like to keep.) I've tried every tutorial I can find and I can't seem to make a full bleed image. I've made images that are wider than the constrained width but still not full bleed. Is this even something Brine can do? Some clarification would be great and much appreciated. Thanks,O
  19. Hi is there anyone who could help with coding to reduce the white space between images on index page
  20. Hey there, This question is specific to the 'York Template' On the main index page, I'm looking to remove the 'Index Item Text' and click-through function on an individual index section, the idea is to use the full-length banner as an image inbetween information links (above and below) rather than a link to an information page. I was hoping there would be a line of CSS that I could inject or even a suggestion on another process of uploading which might work. I'd appreciate any help on this! Thanks
  21. Hey all! On my site, I have several index pages. Several of the sections of these index pages have background/banner images for the nifty parallax effect. I'm not fully satisfied with how those background/banner images are displaying at all times and I'm attempting to target them with CSS to make some adjustments. However, no matter how much digging I do, when I inspect the page code, I can't seem to find where those index page section background images live to figure out the correct CSS class to use to target them. I'm using the Mojave template and the images were uploaded in the page (the section pages making up the index page) settings under media. Can someone point me to where I can find the parallax index page background images when I'm inspecting? Or, at minimum, let me know the CSS targets I need to hit? Thank you!
  22. Hi folks, I'm hoping this is a simple solution. I'm building a single page site in the Sofia template. As it's a single page, I'm wanting to get it so that when you hit a link in the navigation, it scrolls you to that block. Standard stuff. That said, as all the blocks are under 1 index - the only link currently appearing in my primary navigation is 'Home'. Is there a way to make the blocks in the index the main navigation? I.E. "Home" - "About" - "Screenshots" all appear as the main navigation?
  23. Hey @tuanphan , This is York Template Specific, I'm looking to edit the Navigation Title's within each Index-Section with CSS if possible. For example, I'd like to turn this line: "Retailer Management Service —" Into: Retailer Management Service— Obviously, the template already has preset line breakpoints, but in a perfect world, I'd like to be able to break the line so each word is isolated on its own line, and have the ability to change the colour of each line of text. Eg: keep the text white and highlight the "—" Is this possible with just CSS? Thanks
  24. Hi, I am having trouble hiding a page called "Beyond Surface" in an index titled "Portfolio" in my main navigation. I would like to use the banner image of that page, but not have it shown in the drop down menu under "Portfolio" in my main navigation. So, simply moving it to the 'not linked' section wont solve the issue. Please refer to my page: www.officede.co
  25. Hi there. Is there anyway to get an Index page to display as a Folder (drop down menu) in the navigation? I need both features rather than having to pick one over the other. Thanks!
