  1. Please, i need to change the links in collection-detail-wrapper of my index gallery to redirects to another place in my web using css maybe? https://plantain-daisy-6tbn.squarespace.com/home
  2. I try to remove this first page https://www.missionpossiblegang.com/ And keep only 1 page this page= https://www.missionpossiblegang.com/work/people-87xmc-ewtwd It is the only way I find to have not the visuals cropped in the mobile version. Also on the mobile version there is the menu hamburger with the social medias and buttons MINT SOON all together who appears in another page when you click the symbol = Is there is another easy way to have it present like in the computer visualisation ( and not to click on the hamburger and have a another window appearing?) I subscribed a Business plan site : missionpossiblegang.com Code: 1604 Thank you very much
  3. Hello I try to remove the 1st page of the site. I want to have only the 2nd page who contains 4 visuals. The issue I have is folders within Index page cannot be set as home page. So i don't know how to proceed. I have no other choice to proceed this way to avoid to have the visuals cropped in the mobile version . 4. Hello, I use jasper jin template for my homepage and i like how the index-page looks on the desktop, but when i look at it at tablet or phone the spaces between the photos are way too large and some of the photos are overdimensioned. Is there anything i can do about that? Thank you Helen
  5. Hello, I'm working on doing some refreshes to an existing 7.0 site, so I made a copy to test some things out on. You can find it at: https://clownfish-manatee-ngnn.squarespace.com/ password: mhf On the Dahlia Tubers / Dahlia Shop page I added the following code in header code injection to 1) insert a custom header that was different from the rest of the site 2) hide some header elements and 3) add a border and shadow to the body of the page. (Forgive the inline styles, while I assigned a class I did not add any CSS here as this was a quick mockup). <div class="custom-header" style="width: 100%; text-align: center; background-color: #4a574b; color: white; vertical-align: center; line-height: .5em;"> <p>Morey Hill Farm</p> <h1 style="color: white;">DAHLIA SHOP</h1> <p style="padding-bottom: 20px;"><a href="/home">Return to Main Site</a> | <a href="/cart">Cart</a></p></div> <style>.Header-inner, .mobile-bar { display: none !important; } .Main {padding-top: 0px; border-radius: 10px; -webkit-box-shadow: 3px 4px 2px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.45); -moz-box-shadow: 3px 4px 2px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.45); box-shadow: 3px 3px 2px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.45);} .Main-content {padding-top: 50px;} </style> It's displaying on desktop as expected (haven't worked on the mobile header elements fully). The problem I'm having is when visiting the dahlia page then navigating to other pages, specifically the homepage which is actually an index page, the code seems to still be loading and breaking the banner image. The image should be displaying as a full-screen bleed as seen at moreyhillfarm.com Any ideas? P.S. Ajax loading is currently disabled but it seems to be an issue if it's on or not.
  6. Hello Community! need some HELP!! My mobile site version index page shows its image out of place: (grey section on header) I want it to be same high as desktop version> Do you know how can i fix this issue? Thnks in advance for all your help. I really appreciate it
  7. password "lamour" Trying to change the first section (with image background and white text overlay) to be a taller height on mobile, but can't figure out the selector. Thanks in advance!
  8. Site URL: https://jasonandblue.com Hello, I would like my home page to maintain 3 columns across on a desktop. On higher resolution monitors, if I stretch the page out, the index creates new columns and brings items up to the first row. See examples of what I am looking for in attached image. I would still like it to resize properly for mobile however. Jason & Blue - Directing Duo (jasonandblue.com) Any tips on how to make this happen? Thanks!
  9. Site URL: https://www.anakarinawrites.com/ Hello, for some reason any css code to the index page in this template isn't being applied. Am I missing something? Originally I had made the website in a different template and all my pages are blank pages so they don't display the image when the H1 is hovered, so I'm trying to make a slideshow background image but I cant find a solution so far. Would really appreciate any help, thank you.
  10. Site URL: https://badger-flugelhorn-yp72.squarespace.com Hello, I've recently added a folder to my site navigation as such: But I noticed that Index-type navigation can't be added inside the folder. I have been using the Index type navigation to control things such as banner, alternating background colors on different sections, etc. For example: I would like all of the pages including those within the folder to have a Banner at the top, and be able to alternate background colors in different sections like the Home page allows. Is there a way to do this within a folder? Site password is 123 Thank you!
  11. Site URL: https://www.moochcreative.co.uk/ On the desktop version of the website, we have a full width video, which work perfectly, but on mobile, it's too small, the plan is to switch to a portrait version of the video, when adding the video a separate section on desktop, it does not full the full index section, so when it's on mobile, you have space either side, the idea is that I was the full poirtrait video to take up the full depth on mobile. As the site is live, the portrait video section is hidden, so if anyone knows, I can make it live so it can be expected and any code can be shared, a screen shot is below showing the issue. The site is on 7.0. @tuanphan
  12. Hi there, I'm using the Bedford theme and I've been trying to use a page section under an index page as a title. I've seen it resized on other Squarespace sites but cannot get the size of the content section for the title to change, it is far too big and there is no way to drag it to make it smaller. I was able to get the top margin to adjust when inputting a negative value, but it looks terrible in mobile. Additionally, it appears there is no way to adjust the bottom margin, as doing the same just causes the content below it to overlap on top of the section above (I believe this is a collapsing margin issue). I've attached an image below. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
  13. Site URL: https://christopherswan.co.uk Hi, I would like to add a short page description to the top of the index pages on my site to describe what is shown in the index below. This would be used on the following pages. https://christopherswan.co.uk/portfolio https://christopherswan.co.uk/projects https://christopherswan.co.uk/places Is there code that can do this? Thank you!
  14. Site URL: https://tropicalratchet.com password: g I have a rather "hacky" setup using the on-hover displays that Index pages offer to give an illusion of interactivity. I understand it won't quite work as well on mobile but I'm targeting Desktop users for this site anyway. Regardless, I have hit a wall.. I'm attempting to accomplish two tasks, one being rather easy yet somehow it isn't quite clicking, while another possibly being a bit more difficult: 1: Change the background on the Blank Pages that are listed within the index. I've tried various code inserts in CSS and Code blocks but for some reason they have yet to click.. Right now the backgrounds of the pages when clicked via the homescreen/Index are white. Would like them to be the image I have uploaded into my Custom CSS file directory Currently: This is the ideal end setup: Base Background: With images on top: 2. Accomplish this specific look and be sure it translates between Mobile and Desktop. I used code to force a specific width based off of screen size but that too hasn't worked. What I have currently: What I'm aiming to achieve: On-Hover: I understand this is rather hacky and am entirely open to other suggestions. However I do think it is possible within the current Squarespace framework + without using Fluid Engine. Check out what I have currently: https://tropicalratchet.com password: g Any tips greatly appreciated! Thank you
  15. Site URL: http://hannahbianca.com Hi there! Currently updating my website/portfolio and wanted to look into adding smooth page transitions to appear as if it's on the same page (similar to an anchor link or link to a section on a page that if possible, doesn't show up without clicking) like laterwolf transitioning from the WORK to ABOUT page as well as the VIEW PROJECT links when scrolling down. AND if possible would love to have an index link section like they do here on ilovecreative's pages on the far right (the small scrolling circles). The problem is I haven't worked on my website in so long that I don't know what theme it is but have figured out that it's on a 7.1 template. Would it be possible to do what I want with my theme? And if so, how can I do it--whether through coding or customization within Squarespace's settings? I'm not new to website design itself through Squarespace but am less familiar with coding and customization and would appreciate any help toward this!! Thank you!
  16. Site URL: http://www.calhadaway.com Hey guys, I am using the Avenue template and wanting to make the auto columns minimum amount from 1 to 2. So currently in mobile view it is a single column for the index page. But I would love 2 columns for it (But keep the wide screen view as 3 culumns. Example of what I want. https://alvarobeamudcortes.com/ Thank you so much!
  17. Site URL: https://www.jasonwoz.com/ Is it possible to change the aspect ratio of images on the mobile version of the York template index page? Can this be done with css? The current aspect ratio on mobile is too tall. I'd like it to be similar to desktop or a 3:4 ration. Can anyone help?
  18. Site URL: https://www.raiffiesart.com/leffiesart Hello there! The browser on my phone has dark mode enabled. I noticed that the images of banners don't show up in dark mode. Though there appears to be a glitch where they show up for a fraction of a second when I quickly tap to the menu bar. I attached a video to illustrate this better. Which makes me assume that Squarespace automatically overlays a dark grey box in dark mode? They work perfectly fine in light mode, though. It only does this in dark mode. Anyone have an idea as to why this is and how to fix it? 2022-09-07 - Forum Post.mp4
  19. Site URL: https://www.roygarzza.com I don't want the thumbnails in the index homepage to be clickable. I have a bunch of gifs in my home page that I want to use as welcome presentation without being able to click on it. There is a question in this forum that is very similar to what I am having trouble with.The difference is that I am looking to do it in the thumbnails in the index. here it is "Hi, I realize Squarespace doesn't supply the option to disable clickthroughs for a gallery block, but I'm wondering if there is a CSS ... workaround? I'm familiar with very basic coding but nothing like this. Basically, I don't want the images in the gallery homepage to be clickable/openable. Wells template. I could switch to an image block but that doesn't give me this layout." hopefully there can be a code that I can use to make it possible! Thank you 🙂
  20. Site URL: https://www.jodistewartart.com/portfolio-drawing-watercolour I've attached categories to all my artworks so the viewer can search through different collections and available works but how do I stop ALL the works showing up when you initially arrive at the page? I want it to be like this site https://www.jamesguppy.com/galleries.php but I can't figure out how to put an index in. TIA - this is breaking me
  21. Site URL: https://www.shinewater.com/new-home-working I'm trying to remove all spacing between the bottom black horizontal line and the orange circle on the right. How can I remove all padding from the #new-page-3 section?
  22. Site URL: https://www.davidwilson-brown.com/1288-productions Hello, I'm trying to resize the images on my index pages for mobile screens. I've tried a few pieces of code in this thread, but I'm not sure if I'm grabbing the correct id. Here's the code that I'm using and images for reference. Thanks for the help. Using Find Squarespace IDs and this is what I get: #collection-62112bb786cd8c28fd38ee6f. Am I supposed to include everything from this below, or just the id number itself? @media screen and (max-width:767px) { [data-section-id=-62112bb786cd8c28fd38ee6f]{ width: 100% !important; height: auto !important; } }
  23. Site URL: https://www.jessejamesmcelroy.com The fifth index page title does not display in the right order in the gallery. The 5 and 6 titles swap positions but on mobile its fine. Anyway way to fix on desktop?
  24. Site URL: https://www.teemochon.com/ Hello! My website looks different on the mobile view than to the desktop view. I have index pages with images that go down vertically in the desktop view, however, when I change to the mobile view, it makes two rows of the index pages. I am trying to figure out how to keep my mobile view the same as the desktop view. I am using Avenue template.
  25. Site URL: http://contrivium.com/new-index I am using the Avenue Template. Currently I have an index page featuring thumbnails that show the thumb title upon hovering. But I'm also looking to have the thumbnail transition to a different image when rolling over as well. I found a helpful code from a website, but the code is tailored for a blog collection page, using a section id. Is there a code that can be implemented for an index page. Here is my site: http://contrivium.com/new-index and attached is original thumbnail image along with the transition image. Here is the tutorial I found, but had trouble using: https://www.will-myers.com/articles/replace-thumbnail-image-on-hover featuring this code: /** * [PAGE NAME] * Display New Image on Hover **/ section[data-section-id="123"] { //All Item Settings .image-wrapper img { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 0.3s ease; } .image-wrapper { background-size: cover; } //Template .image-wrapper[href*="POST_URL"] { &:hover img { opacity: 0; } background-image: url("NEW_IMG_URL"); background-position: 50% 50%; } }
