I created a gallery section in an index page in order to have rotating quotes appear on the homepage of the site. There are no images, and I just added the quotes in the image description. For some reason the text is not showing up on mobile. Does anyone know why or what I can do about this? The site is in Squarespace 7.0 and the template is Pacific. Thanks!

I just got done making a new site after switching domains from Blue Host. When I try to go to the homepage, I get this error. When I click the link to take me to my homepage, it works. Where have I made the mistake in navigation?

Hi there, I'm trying to get my website to show up on google and I'm really lost.

I have had my site live for over 72 hours. The "search Keywords" tab has still not been updated and google still thinks my website doesn't exist. I manually uploaded my site map and indexed a few pages. What else do I need to do to have my site recognized by google. I type in the exact name and still nothing comes up. Any advice would help!

Hi! My site has been live for more than three months and it has yet to be indexed by Google. It's not a massive site. http://www.healingroomcounseling.com Ten days ago I requested indexing. Still nothing. I am a therapist, not a website expert. I need help! I also ran a report on semrush (see image), but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I am willing to hire help and just don't know where to start. I just tried searching it on yahoo and bing and it's actually there...but who uses yahoo or bing? Rhetorical!

Hi all, My website works fine in Safari, but when I try Chrome all of the links on my 'Design' Index page lead to the same page. My other Index page (Illustration) has no problems. Hello, all of the content on my homepage has somehow been deleted. I contacted support and they said it's an "index page." https://www.spectrumdesigns.org/ Is there a way to unindex a page? I found one element of the page saved on it's own unlinked page. I really need to fix this asap, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hey, so I finally figured out how to do same page navigation using code block anchor links and smooth scroll on my homepage. Right now, the navigation for "about" and "projects" all link to their respective anchor links on the homepage by linking to #about, #projects. But when I'm on any other page but my homepage, these navigation links don't work unless I specify the url slug and use /home#about, /home#projects - this would be fine except every time I click those links on my homepage, it doesn't smooth scroll down to the right section but will refresh the page first then scroll down. I don't want it to refresh when I'm already on the homepage but if I change it back to #about, #projects again, the links won't work on any other page. To better understand my issue, you can click the "contact" link in my navigation menu (it currently uses /home#contact) and you will see that it refreshes the page first before scrolling down to it. Meanwhile "about" and "projects" are using #about and #projects only, which will work as intended on the homepage but not when you're on a different page e.g. https://www.saaniajamal.com/presentations. Ideally, if I could just have different navigation links for the homepage and all other pages, this issue wouldn't even exist. But I've spent hours finding a solution and have reached a dead end. For the record, I am on the individual plan, not the business one so I can't mess with Javascript unless I upgrade. PLEASE SEND HELP SO MY PORTFOLIO CAN GO LIVE SOON.

Does anyone know how to remove the hover effect on project titles for the avenue template index page? It seems the only way for titles to appear without a hover is by selecting the "show titles below thumbnail" option... but I still am trying to have my titles overlay my images. Does anyone have any solutions/ or magic CSS snippets? Thanks so much!! 🙂

Hello, I have wondered why my site title has never changed for months. My homepage and all other pages were correctly indexed on Google search. I have seen a few of my fellow photographers using SQP and having a proper site title. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a thing I can do on my side ? The site itself has not been launched and advertised yet, so maybe the title will change once it gets more visitors? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

Help with https://careinthecurve.com/ I was making some tweaks to the page description on the https://careinthecurve.com/#about page (under the main index). For some reason after I adjusted just the page description text and formatting in the page settings, all of a sudden the black arrow appeared at the bottom of my home page image (which changes to "scroll down" on hover). When you click it, it jumps to the Meet Jenn section. The arrow wasn't there before I made the changes to the page description. There doesn't seem to be a setting in site styles to remove this or even format the font or text color. I tried toggling parallax on and off and it didn't make a difference. I want to remove the arrow and "scroll down" text and still be able to scroll. Any ideas?

It'd be useful if I could create nested galleries using the flatiron template. Is there anyway to add a index pages to an existing index? I can't seem to find a solution to creating sub categories for my main indexes / pages / galleries Can anyone suggest a solution?

These pages host the full video and additional information about the project. You can see what I mean here: www.skrfilms.com However, as my portfolio expands, I'd like to somehow subdivide the main index page into categories, like 'commercial', 'animation', 'narrative,' etc. I'm thinking it would look like a dividing line that separates the grids into categories. Effectively, I'd be combining multiple indexes onto one hosting page, so that as you scrolled down you'd reveal more indexes with their own unique category grids of projects. I hope that makes sense - you can see what I mean on my live website at www.skrfilms.com. Is there any way to do this? Thank you!

Hi, When I'm adding new tiles to my portfolio (using the York template), the background color of the image is usually applied to the entire responsive tile. For some reason, when I add new images, it's assigning a lighter tint of the color (making the edge of the image obvious & not seamless. (screenshot attached). How is that background color getting assigned? Any ideas why new ones that I add are not seamless like my 6 existing portfolio items (& the York demo site)? Thanks for any insight!

Hi, I would like to add a short text/page description to the top of a certain index page on my site to describe what is shown in the index below. The text i would like to add is now below the index thumbnails but I want this above the thumbnails. There's a bug in my template where if you go back from a password protected gallery to the index, none of the links work. To avoid this I'd like to open only this gallery in a new window. Any suggestions?

I just found out that a Squarespace issue caused one of my client sites (on 7.0) to have all of its pages moved out from its parent Index section causing ALL links to now be broken (as the Index is empty). I reached out to support and was told: So they want me to start manually moving the pages back myself. There are dozens and dozens of pages that are out of order and Im sure this will take me hours to sort through everything. They are unaware of any solve for this and that Im pretty much on my own to fix what they have broken. Is anyone else experiencing this? Im too scared to go start digging through all of my 7.0 sites to see who else is effected ha. Any insight or advice before I start trying to move everything back would be much appreciated.

Hey there. I’ve just created a website and embedded an acuity sceduling page in which google is saying has a no indexing piece of code in it. I’m guessing this is something acuity has enabled. I’m just wondering the reasons that might be happening and if anyone thinks it’s a good or bad thing? If it’s for good reason that’s totally cool, but if not, does anyone one have a workaround so the page can be indexed? Thanks

I'm working with the Jasper Jin template, on my index page I have a grid with 4 columns of thumbnails. On almost all thumbnails the title of the project is centered when I hover over it but on a couple the text is sitting to the right - why is this/ how do I correct it? As you can see in the photos the title for 'Floriography' is not centered but the titl efor 'Cinematic Still Life' is?

Hi everyone, we have purchased a domain from Squqrespace and connected it internally to our web project. As soon as I define a start page (Checkbox) in the internal project, I also have to define the slug. I have named this "/index". When I now call up the domain, it does not load the web project. This is only possible if I add the slug /index, e.g: younameit.com/index Even if I leave the slug empty, i.e. leave "/" without a name, the domain in the root does not load the project, e.g. younameit.com. You must also add the "/" here, i.e. younameit.com/ It is particularly annoying, that the start page in the menue of the web project, only ever refers to the domain younameit.com. But for the reasons mentioned above, the page does not load there. Any tips or ideas? Best Erik
