  1. I'm using the Brine 7.0 template for my website and I would like to hide index subpages from the search results so that only the main index page is shown and site visitors are navigated to see all of the relevant content, not just the subpage. Is this possible using redirect links or search customization? I've been looking for a solution for a while now and I don't mind if it's a work-around, I just need a solution to this.
  2. I have standard tags I use for certain kinds of images, so I usually just copy and paste them all at once. For example: tag, tags, tagging With the most recent change Squarespace has made to index galleries, copying and pasting that into an image's tags will now add it as one single tag, rather than three separate tags. Is this just a temporary bug? Or if not, is there a way around it? I've tried adding spaces after the commas, replacing the commas with tabs, and replacing them with line breaks, all to no avail. Adding the tags one by one seems to be the only option right now and it's really slowing me down, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Site URL: http://itstheverse.com Currently using bedford right now on my site. When a title is too long, my banner will place a "..." and shorten the title. Is there any easy CSS i can use so that my main blog banner shows the full post title? See screenshot for an example.
  4. Site URL: https://littlehorsecollective.com/ I created an index page with multiple sections. I created a hero image that i put in the Media section of one of the sections. On desktop, it looks great. but on mobile, it looks bad. So I want to hide it on mobile. Then i want to create another section and upload an image that looks good on mobile and hide it from desktop. Can anybody help me figure out what code I need to hide it on their respective devices?
  5. Site URL: https://magenta-tunny-l2rb.squarespace.com Is it possible to customize the non-index pages in Tremont 7.0? I'm using the template's "shop" "contact" and "events" pages, but would like to have a background image bleed through instead of a solid color as the background. Thank you ! This site has not been published yet, so I only have a temp link to show.
  6. I'm using the Brine template and my homepage is an index page with the first part of the body being a gallery page in slideshow format. I'd like the slideshow to be in a random order every time somebody visits the page. I have gallery blocks on other pages that I don't want to end up randomized. I found this plugin offered by SQSP Themes that says it can randomize the image order in gallery and summary blocks but I don't think it's applicable for me since I would like it applied to a gallery page and not a gallery block. I've reached out to them for confirmation on that. Anybody have any ideas on how I can achieve this?
  7. I like the aesthetic of banners on an index page on templates like Brine, but I don't wish them to actually exist as pages. I'd like to ask if it's possible to - Disable the slug, yet have it still visible in an index (so no visitors can accidentally access a barren page) - or redirect it A third more complicated option would be to somehow choose what is visible in the index and what is visible when on the actual page. Thanks
  8. I am using the Bryler template and have a single index page for my site that holds all of the content pages within it. I am trying to create a scenario where the first page of the index has different padding (top and bottom margins) than the rest of the pages within the same index. In other words, can I adjust the padding of a single page within an index without affecting the others? Let's say my index is named "welcome" and the first content page under that is called "home". I found this code on another thread, but cant seem to assign the page names properly... section#video .Index-page-content { padding-top: 20px; padding-bottom: 20px; } I tried using "welcome#home" and "home#welcome", but neither worked. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, as a very inexperienced coder. I'm hoping some one can help me out. Thanks so much.
  9. Site URL: https://www.joeandjenphoto.com Hello, I use the Maple template from the Brine family, and I'm looking for some code to do the following: I'd like the full page index gallery on my home page to have a fixed height on desktop only, but not on mobile. I prefer the crop of the 'fixed height' on desktop so the image doesn't stretch too far down, but do not like the vertical cropping that it creates on mobile. Basically - I would like the original crop of my photos to be maintained across all platforms. I've chatted with SS support and it doesn't seem to be possible within the site styles. Thank you for your time! Joe https://www.joeandjenphoto.com
  10. Site URL: https://tricycle.org/beginners/buddhism/who-was-the-buddha/ Hello! I was wondering if there's any way to do this on Squarespace: So there's links on the left hand side of the page, which is fixed and the right side of the page jumps to the section click on. All the content is within one page, or a gallery sort of thing should go back and forth as clicked on the link. Hope this is clear? Looking forward to know if anyone has a solution 😀 Kind regards and good vibes, Pawan
  11. Site URL: https://www.mackenzieclarkphoto.com/work Hi, I'm trying to adjust the padding/margins of the links so that they align with the logo at the top left. It was automatically correct on the 'schedule' page I created, but the spacing is different on this page. Would greatly appreciate any help as I'm sure it's an easy fix!
  12. Site URL: https://www.andyshiels.com/ Hi Guys. I'm having an issue with my landing page on mobile. It's an index page that doesn't scale down the type properly. I've spoken to Squarespace and they said it's a bug with 7.1, specifically related to an issue with paragraphs and heading not scaling to mobile on their end. But it can be fixed with some custom CSS. Any ideas? Here's the page — www.andyshiels.com Screenshot also attached. Thanks in advance! Andy

  14. Hi, I recently forwarded an existing domain that was previously being used for a Squarespace site to a new domain and Wordpress site. The issue is the old site is still indexed by Google and the client doesn't really want the old information seen. I still have access to the old Squarespace site and I've set it to private but not sure of the best way of no-indexing the site now?. Any advice appreciated. Andy
  15. Site URL: https://saramorawetz.com Hello, I want to create custom CSS code for an Index page – effectively allowing me to have two indexes that behave differently. I want one of the indexes to remain as it is currently configured on my website: saramorawetz.com – allowing for text on roll over (and no image displayed) For the second index I would like to have images displayed with text on rollover (and image displayed at reduced opacity) Ideally I would like both indexes to link to the same pages but will duplicate them if that isn't possible. Could anyone assist me with the CSS that I would need to include to achieve this? Thanks for you help!
  16. I'm trying to add some text above my index page content to let it be known that you click the thumbnails to view more. I can't add a text block or anything on the index page like on other pages - is there a way to add some type of text at the top of the page, and in whatever size I prefer? My last resort would be to make custom thumbnails for everything to showcase there's more once you click, but that seems excessive and some text up top would be simpler.
  17. Site URL: https://www.erobertson.design/churchofsnails At the bottom of each of my project pages there is a link to the 'Next' project. I have added custom fonts across the site using CSS, but I can't work out how to target this small piece of text. Can anyone help? I was also wondering if it's possible to replace the word 'Next' with simple < previous and next > arrows, but I'll be happy if I can just resolve the font issue.
  18. Site URL: https://www.frangipanibeatt.com/ Hi! I've been trying to remove/hide the thumbnails that appear if you scroll to the end of each gallery. I've tried the code below, but that unfortunately removes the thumbails from my homepage/index. Thanks in advance! div#container-content>#grid { display: none; }
  19. Hello, I've been searching for some answers all day and come close but nothing has worked so far. I'd like to entirely remove the hover effect that happens when I mouse over the thumbnail images on the Home page of my site which is set up as an Index in the Flatiron template. The url to my site is harrisonjohnson.work. Any help is much appreciated!
  20. Site URL: https://saramorawetz.com Hi, I was trying to work out if I could set up two index pages that behave differently? Or give one index two different sets of instructions? Currently I have one index page (which is the main home page) that shows text on roll-over. Ideally, I would like this to remain as the <homepage> but then, if you were to click through to <//projects> then this index would display images from each of the page it links (the linked pages would remain the same) So essentially it is one index that has no images when on the homepage and images if you click on <//projects> (if that makes sense?) Any help / advice on how to achieve this would be much appreciated! Thanks, Sara
  21. Site URL: https://marisaannmccabe.com/ Hi, I was able to get the 2 column mobile default to collapse into a single column using the code below, however the thumbnail images are off center to the right. I believe the overflow is hiding the portion of the image on the right. Is there a way to center the image within the container? // mobile single column @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { #projectThumbs .project { width: inherit; } #projectThumbs .wrapper { overflow: hidden; } } Thanks!
  22. Hello, https://cheetah-koala-ytr8.squarespace.com Password : essai2 Hello, my site is finished and I wanted to recvor the sitemap.xml but it is empty, my homepage is an index 😕 should I change this? How should I do this? I can not...
  23. Hello, I'm trying to change the font styling of all my pages (Rockport..... Extras) in my Index / Menu which are listed out in the Henson template. In a previous template I uploaded a custom font - Junicode - and had it so it originally changed my h3. The coding in the screenshot worked and overrode the font choice listed in site styles, while still allowing to edit with the other styling sliders. Any idea why it's not working for the Index / menu styling here?
  24. I use avenue and want to keep the galleries in slideshow mode, I really don't like them stacked. Is there anyway I can open a gallery in slideshow mode from an index page? Thank you.
  25. Site URL: https://www.thislandisdigital.com/test-rectangles I've already located code to create a hover effect from a recent post (though it needs to be written for every single thumbnail). All of the tutorials and tips I've found so far replace one image with another, though, whereas I would like to overlay an image on top of the currently hovered thumbnail. The effect will basically place a border, some glowing vignette, and a few stylized notches as if looking through a camera. The test index I'm using can be found here. The image I'd like to overlay is here. My current hover code looks like this (with some extra toys thrown in while I experiment!): /* On hovering over a specific block, affect its image. */ a.project:nth-child(1):hover img, a.project:nth-child(2):hover img, a.project:nth-child(3):hover img, a.project:nth-child(4):hover img { //visibility: hidden; opacity: 50%; //border-radius: 150px; filter: blur(2px); //grayscale(100%); //invert(100%); transition: all 0.5s; } a.project:nth-child(1):hover .content-fill, a.project:nth-child(2):hover .content-fill, a.project:nth-child(3):hover .content-fill, a.project:nth-child(4):hover .content-fill { background-image: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5338f2a1e4b012d5a0b4b9e7/t/5e83d5e07a31383b2b77d2d3/1585698273099/Thumbnails_HoverImage_02.png); background-size: 100%; //or: cover; background-position: center center; background-repeat: no-repeat; } How do I make the image appear over top of the thumbnails? I don't really want to fade their opacity to reveal something behind them.
