Dear Squarespace community, Hi from India, I am in need of a web designer who can design and explain the website for an export import company. Let me know how much it would cost me and it will be great if you can send me a quotation for such work. (*kindly mention some of your greatest work and link of such website) Thanking you in advance.

Site URL: https://www.transformational-empowerment.com Hi all, I am quite new to Square space and trying to import subscribers to my mailing list via a cdv file. This file looks correctly set up to me, first column email addresses, then first name, last name. But an error message appears, telling me the first column needs to contain at least one valid email address. Working on MacOS 10.15.7 MacBook Air. Happens in Safari, Chrome and Opera bowser. Anybody how could give me a hit or help? Best, Christian

Site URL: https://hyperboloid-sepia-82f5.squarespace.com/ Hello, I am working to import a Wordpress blog (only the posts) to a new Squarespace website (https://hyperboloid-sepia-82f5.squarespace.com/) and I have followed the instructions listed here: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206543957. Both times I chose the Advanced option and exported only the "posts" from the Wordpress backend and downloaded the .xml file. The first time I did all posts. The second time I did all posts since January 2019. Both times I got a "success" message as you can see in my screensho

Site URL: https://bullismoonline.it/ Greetings, I want to take the articles of an active website that has been built with Jekyll on GitHub and import them on my new website here on SquareSpace. Since there are many articles I’m looking for a way to do it in bulk. Is it possible? How? I can’t install any plugin there (it’s not WordPress), but all the articles are simple HTML pages or Markdown txt files (it depends on the article).

Hi there, I've been tinkering with a trial Squarespace account and it looks great! Really easy to use, great features, etc. but I notice that I can't import my existing blog? This seems REALLY basic and would be needed for a lot of interested customers. Will that be supported anytime soon? I'd make the switch if that was easy to implement. Thanks, Sara

Since I cannot find any answers online I will ask here. I am exporting blog posts from one squarespace 7 site and trying to import them into another squarespace 7 site. I am using the wordpress import and export xml file, and it keeps failing. The one time it worked, instead of importing the blog posts, it imported all of the pages from the site, which I thought wasnt even possible. anyway, I need to simple just import the blog posts. any thoughts? I keep getting this error. Thanks — WORDPRESS Import complete. Status: Failed — The import has failed. — com.squares

I need to create comparison sites using different templates. I thought maybe I could export my site and import, but I know Squarespace doesn't recommend importing their own file, although they support importing other sites' formats. When trying to import, I get the error: "— com.squarespace.v6.business.content.exceptions.InvalidContentItemException: urlId cannot be null: 82RWHTREFWN3BLDNAFC6" I opened the file in Word and an xml viewer and don't see a tag (or even mention) of a urlID, or the string at the end. I get I'm trying to do something that's not recommended, but just asking to see

Hello, I actually work on my personal website and I wanted to know if it was possible to import some functionality from "Rally" template. I especially look for the search bar, the social link navigation and also for my main page the index from Rally with the section manager. Is it possible? If yes what's the point to focus and not forget for the import. I work on the Lange template.

I understand that Squarespace does not have a tool with which to import Drupal. Does anyone know of a decent work-around, e.g., importing from Drupal to WordPress and then using Squarespace's WordPress-import tool? Esp. to import blog text and metadata. Thanks!

I've loaded some products into Squarespace and did a download of the products I loaded into an excel spreadsheet. It seems to be missing data for "Additional info". Has anyone else run into this? I see all of the other data fields I need except for this one. "Additional info" has it's own tab in between "Pricing & Varients" and "Form".

Hey everybody, our set-up: E-Commerce via Squarespare Collecting E-Mail Consent within Check-Out as well as Pop-up Interface to Mail Chimp E-Mail List managed at Mailchimp Customer stored at Squarespace Recently we are thinking to switch from Mailchimp to Squarespace E-Mail. What is the best way to re-import our E-Mailing List from Mailchimp to Squarespare, especially in terms of merging / migrating the marketing consents? Best, Florian

Hi I have recently migrated from Shopify to SquareSpace and I am writing this post to start a conversation about the whys and hows of this failure. If there is a direct import option, one would think that a script will reformat the CSV file to be acceptable. This is not the case. I contacted customer support and they answer was " we do not control what Shopify does", this is just an unacceptable answer. If there is an option advertised to work, we, the customers, expect it to work. The least that can happen is to post a message saying the third party service has changed things as we

Can Wordpress import preserve text formatting?
xcskier56 posted a question in Coding and Customization
Hi, I'm hoping to import a pretty large blog from wordpress in XML format. When I tried my first import, the blog posts lost all line breaks. The XML looks like this:
this is paragraph 1. This is paragraph 2
But it will come out like this: (Note the lack of space after "." This is paragraph1.This is paragraph 2 Is there a way to edit the XML so that the content imports correctly? Thanks -
Imported (uploaded) images are accessible in new image blocks from the Search For Image > Imported section. I've had my site for several years and it's gone through drastic revamps in that time. Now, the oldest images are still there, despite no longer being in use on any existent page. How do I delete these outdated imported images? I can't find any option for it even though it seems like something so straightforward should have a very simple answer. Thanks!

Site URL: http://www.nico-young.squarespace.com Can anyone help me with this? I reached the max amount of pages on my Squarespace 5 site, so I have to migrate to squarespace 7. This should be a painless process though, due to the import feature. However, I've been trying over and over to use the import feature to import my Squarespace 5 site to my Squarespace 7 site, but the import keeps failing. I enter in the site url, then the password as it asks. but it always fails. It seems like I'm doing everything right, yet it always fails. I would really appreciate som

I have about 10,000 inventory items and I want to be able to import the into squarespace and associate an image location in the file so that I don't have to manually go in and assign each image to each inventory item. Any idea if there is a 3rd party or code out there to be able to do this?

Hello there! I've been working on doing a migration of several years worth of content into a squarespace blog, and have pretty much figured out how to do a really simple import. That said, I'm wondering if there is any way to import blog posts into a custom content type in Squarespace? I've dug through the documentation and can't find any references to this. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I have a question about product importing on a new site. I have a client who is sitting on a bespoke CMS for his online business and has been left in the lurch by his previous developer. I've recommended he migrates to a better supported platform that can be managed and maintained by him or any Squarespace developer. However, he has 100's of products that would need to be migrated. I've managed to get in to the MySQL database where his products are listed and assume I can export that as a CSV. I also see that I can Import a CSV to an existing product page in Squarespace. If t

Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster :). I have a client managing her content on SS, but her ecommerce functions on Cratejoy. Now that SS has subscription options, I've convinced her to move her whole platform to SS, just for the simple reason of being able to manage everything in one place. (Her retention rates aren't great, largely due to having to manage customer accounts on cratejoy's platform, rather than her own) Anyway, I've only just found out that we can't migrate her customer database into the customers section of her site. However, her current payment processor is Stripe
