  2. I would like to be able to replicate the coloured hover effect of the image blocks on the following website: https://www.studioshaw.co.uk/ So that when I hover over the image blocks, they change colour with the chosen colour I pick. I would like to have this effect appear on one single page of my website. For reference, I am using the Impact template.
  3. I am just curious as to how to implement this style into future websites. I've just started experimenting with Code Blocks and would like to know how to make the below possible to add tiny details to my websites. How can I insert a small, floating image like the tiny circle logo as shown in the screenshot below? Anytime I try to insert an image using HTML I can never get it to center WITHIN the code block, it always aligns to the left. And how can I format it to stay consistent across screen sizes such as on her website? I would like to implement this feature on future sites and would love any help at all as to how to achieve this! Site referencing: Brighten Made
  4. In my blog post excerpts, all the thumbnails are squares: I'd like to tweak them in the following ways: Change these into circles Give them drop shadows So the css is something like this: img { border-radius: 50%; width: 150px; -webkit-filter: drop-shadow(5px 5px 5px #222); filter: drop-shadow(5px 5px 5px #222); } I just don't know the proper selector to give so that it will only affect the blog thumbnails and not all images. Also, if possible... is there any way to make them smaller and scale better with page resizes? They're kind of clunky at the moment, e.g. sometimes thumbnails are way too big for the text at a certain zoom!
  5. Bedford - Can you help me how to reduce the image space(banner) vertically please? I heard it does need some code for this. website:https://heron-reed-4c73.squarespace.com password:123456
  6. Template: Rover For example, I have an index page as my homepage - the first page (at the top of the index page) has an image in it's background (I added the image as Media in the page settings - not as a floating image within the page itself), and when the site opens, it seems the image loads or fades in (while everything has already loaded). I thought it was related to the image size at first but I think it's more of a fade in function as it does this on my other index pages as well. Please help,Thanks
  7. I have several pages set up using the York template. The featured image for the latest page I have created, titled "JW Marriott," is not appearing on my home page. I have restarted my computer and my browser with no luck.
  8. I need blog image titles and descriptions to display on mobile devices in the same way they do on desktop. By default, they don't display on devices 480px or less in width. Squarespace support has said this is possible with custom code but they can't provide that code for whatever reason. I've also been unsuccessful finding the code by googling. Anyone here have the abilities to create that code? I'd be incredibly grateful. The site, if you want to check it out, is www.downtownnorcal.com

  11. I am currently using the "Brine" template, and I would love to be able to change the banner image when the site is visited on a mobile device. Can someone advise? I have tried the following which does not work: @media (max-width: 600px) { body { } #banner-area-wrapper #page-thumb img { display: none; } #banner-area-wrapper #page-thumb { background-image: url("https:example.jpg"); background-size: cover; }} Thank you for any help you can offer.
  12. I'm using the Bedford template for my ecommerce store and am trying to figure out how to change the image when the mouse hovers on it. Would really appreciate some help! Thank you!
  13. Hi there, I would like to know how to 'control' the caption below my image gallery. I've seen some topics about it (mostly about showing the caption on mobile) and tried the codes provided, but nothing worked so far. This is how the gallery looks like on a desktop: And this is how the caption shows on a mobile: Halfway through a word, the caption just stops. I would love to know how to fix this, how to show the whole caption on a mobile phone. I'm using Brine. Thanks so much for your help, Robien
  14. Hi there, I would like the background image on my website to stretch to fill both the length & width of the browser. The website address is https://aardvark-cat-6fxl.squarespace.com & it is the 'Aubrey' template. Could anyone please help with the custom CSS to make this happen? Thanks,
  15. I'm creating a Menu page in the Blend template (Brine family), and am trying to display an alternate image on hover. I'm wondering if anyone has had luck with code that can do this! As an alternative, I tried converting the Menu into a product page, which does allow for alternate images on hover, but found Product pages couldn't do the following: - Have an intro / header paragraph - Have separate sections with headers - Display item descriptions on the product page If I could fix the above I could move forward with the Menu page but think it might be easier to try to add the hover feature onto my existing non-product page. Any advice appreciated - thanks!
  16. Hi there, I am using the Mojave template and would like to reduce the padding between each image block element on mobile. What custom CSS should I be using?
  17. Is there a way to edit the size of an image that is embedded within a markdown block? Currently I'm trying to created a bulleted "to-do" checklist of many items to show which items have been completed and which are still outstanding. That said, I've successfully added the images to the markdown block by using the reference style code found on the current cheat sheet: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206543587-Markdown-cheat-sheet Reference-style: ![alt text][id] [id]: /url/to/img.jpg "Title" However, the images are now significantly way too big for the text. Is there a way to scale down the image size within the markdown block code? Thanks in advance.
  18. Hi all, I am using the Hyde template. I'm trying to do two things: 1) change the file names of my images in the gallery on front page and product images (without having to re upload them all). I have tried going to the options tab in the image settings (as some have suggested) but there is no option there for 'file name' ..only an image URL link (tried changing that but doesn't make a difference to the file name). Screenshot attached. 2) Add alt-text to the gallery images on the front page. I have followed the instructions by squarespace on adding alt-text to images https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206542357 but I can't get it to work at all. The text shows across the image when I write it in the Title and Description box. I want the text to be hidden, purely there as alt-text. Am I doing something wrong? screenshot attached my help to explain... Site is erikahansendesign.com incase that is helpful. Thanks all :)
  19. Can I add image captions? If no, would this be easily possible with some one-time CSS tweaking, by a just-better-than-newbie? Thanks!Joe
  20. I managed to get a border around the image block for poster, but I can't figure out how to get the border only around the image for the inline-block. Any thoughts from CSS wizards? .sqs-block-image .image-block-outer-wrapper:not(.image-block-v2) .intrinsic { border: 1px solid #eeecec; padding: 0px; overflow: visible; } http://chriszyu.com/
  21. Hello! I’m struggling to add an animated GIF to a page. Every time I insert it, it turns into a static JPEG (specifically, one called “public.jpeg”). Possibly relevant: I’m using the iOS Squarespace app to insert it into the page. (I’m on vacation, and only have my iPad with me.) At the moment, you can see the results of this at adhdSAT.com/resources . At the very bottom is the file I’ve uploaded (now magically turned into a static JPEG).
  22. Here's my website and password:homecomfortsolutionsboise.comMnbb77 On the front page under "Our Services" I have three images in a row with borders around them I created with CSS code. I'm now trying to align these images so that the borders connect and it looks nice and neat. The text doesn't take up an equal amount of lines, so it's offset. I've tried using spacers and even tried using code to change the minimum size of spacers to combat this problem, but it's not quite perfect and the bottom of the borders still won't extend down far enough on the images with text that takes up less lines. Maybe I can add something to the code I used to create the borders? Here's what that looks like: Any suggestions or ideas? Thank you!
  23. I would like to add above my banner ( in the homepage ) a text and / image with white background leaving spaces on both sides to see the banner while scrolling, I tried to use layout images but it works only if I use both image and text and still it could work only using collage or overlap design. What if I only would add text in the center of the banner with white background?
