  1. Hey guys, I'm looking to see how I can make an image appear on top of the header font for mobile view, while still keeping it to the right of the header for desktop view. I'm using the Brine template. Any suggestions? Thank you -Jeff
  2. Site URL: https://www.smalleyesbigcity.com Hello I seem to have an issue with my images block when I reduce the window size. I added two pictures with the same height next to each other, resulting in two columns (display: mac 13.3 inch). But when I change the size of the window, one image shrink more than the other. I have tried to the different solutions from the following link (display: flex), pictures then appear very small, like a thumbnail pic. Is there something that I am missing? My site is www.smalleyesbigcity.com Thanks for your help.
  3. Site URL: https://arena-2.squarespace.com/approach Help needed. I want to make one figure out of three different overlapping images. Each image being clickable. And when one image/layer is clicked, then it comes to the front. how could I do this?
  4. Site URL: https://caroline-hossein.squarespace.com/caroline-shenaz-hossein On one of my image collages (https://caroline-hossein.squarespace.com/caroline-shenaz-hossein) I wanted to make the text BOX bigger, so I injected some code. This worked but it seems to also affect the size of the text IN the box. I'd like the text within the box to remain at 17, and only make the container bigger. The problem with the text can be seen when switching between screen sizes. With a bigger screen, the text also grows. So it looks fine in the mobile setting, but looks ridiculous in full screen. Does anyone know how i might fix this to keep the text size at a true 17? As can be seen in this other image text box https://caroline-hossein.squarespace.com/ it's not a problem. Thanks so much guys. My code below. div#page-5df3f0acb29aca197b85f292 .image-card-wrapper { width: 80% !Important; }
  5. Hi, I'm testing 7.1 and when I'm at the product shop overview in a template and then go to Design > Image Blocks or Products Item it doesn't work if I change anything on the left side menu I don't see the preview. Does anybody have an idea? Thanks
  6. Site URL: http://thepopart.squarespace.com Hi all, I'm trying to add custom fonts to image blocks (card, block and collage blocks) and hoping for some help. I've successfully applied custom fonts to the rest of the site, but these titles are the last group I need to change. Any advice or help would be so greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Taylor
  7. I have a tricky issue. I spent some time with Squarespace live chat to no avail. I want to do a standard 'insert spacer block on each side of the image to resize or centre the image'. When I insert the spacer blocks and grab one with the mouse, I can clearly see the black insert line horizontally but DO NOT see the black line vertically next to the image. The image goes almost all the way to the edge. I have made sure my Chrome browser isnt zoomed in. I have tried using a different browser. Im using Brine template. Beyond grateful if anyone can assist!
  8. Hi everyone, I am using Image Blocks (Posters) on a new website. The title text over the image is white, which is a bit hard to read when the images below have white parts in them (i.e. like clouds). This is really easy to solve by adding a dark shadow to the white text. Squarespace does not offer a standard option for adding a shadow to that text, so I have to do it with custom CSS. I have been trying to do it for a long time, so I thought I would tap into your wisdom! Here is a screenshot of the kind of images I am using. Would you be able to help me, please? 🙂
  9. Hello - I'm trying to use a custom font for the 'Image Block: Collage Title'. Does anybody know the css code for this? Thank you!
  10. Site URL: https://ticket-channel.squarespace.com/ Hi there! My website, on desktop, has a 4x4 column. I had to turn them into image block poster in order for the overlay to work with hover. The problem is, that on mobile it stacks. And it doesn't offer a nice user experience. Is there a way I can transform this into 2x2 on mobile? Instead of stacked? thank you!
  11. Site URL: https://www.jarnanaturbruksgymnasium.se/borjahososs Hej, I try to build a page with 2 image blocks like in the exempel --> diagonal But i need help with layout and how to do this. 12. Site URL: https://whale-mushroom-t6kh.squarespace.com I'm not sure why when I change the image lock to a card (anything other than inline), it adds an opacity over the image. How do I remove the image overlay?
  13. Hi, On my site I design each page using individual image blocks so that I can create the layout that best presents my work. I really don't like the way that the gallery pages or other options work, they just throw everything in with equal prominence. The problem is that there's no built-in navigation between image blocks once you've clicked on an image to bring up the lightbox. I'd like to know if there is a way to connect all of the image boxes on a page so that you can navigate from image to image without leaving the lightbox, by using the arrow keys. I'm not terribly fussed whether or not there are bullet points at the bottom to indicate the number of images, and I don't care for arrow buttons because I prefer to click off an image to close the lightbox as is the default. My site is Capio Photographie in case you'd like to see how I've built my pages. They're all done the same way. Thanks in advance for any advice or code
  14. I'm trying to change the title font of the Image Block text. I used this code below and the font has already been uploaded but it's not working. Help? Image Block Overlap Custom Font.sqs-block-image .design-overlap-poster .image-title p { font-family: "ABHAYA LIBRE" !important }
  15. I'm having trouble with the poster image block looking funky on mobile. We have the image cropped where we'd like it for desktop browsers, but when it scales down to mobile it's cutting behind the text (see attached screenshots). Is there code that can help remedy this?
  16. I have an issue with irregular padding and block sizes. I am trying to create a page composed of Images in an irregular grid. 1. For some reason the images are being automatically cropped so that they don't fit their container - leaving irregular spacing between images 2. I would like to adjust the spacing between images My attempts to figure out the CSS have been a bit of guess work with no elegant fix that works. Ideally I'd like a responsive padding solution. https://jonathangallagher.squarespace.com/overview-2 Notes: - This layout is adapted from the supplied grid image layouts, which I then used the poster option on each image. - Brine Template - Bizzarely when i click on each image to edit it, it suddenly fills it's container, only to revert back once finished. - I can't to minor adjustments the containers of the images, some don't align, which is odd, as you'd expect there to be a predefined grid
  17. Is it possible to align an image inside an image block to the left or right instead of the default center alignment?
  18. I was wondering if anyone would know how to add text when hovering over an image in the Wells Template? When using the set Gallery page, there is (by default) a very faint overlay applied to the image. I would like to be able to add text to this (in the centre of the image), and possibly increase the opacity of the overlay (as it is barely perceptible). See below for an example of a Wells Gallery page: https://www.squarespace.com/templates/wells I don't mind if the CSS only applies to image blocks, and it would be great if the image could be clickable as I am hoping to construct an Index-type page, due to the fact that the Wells template doesn't include that function. I'm very much a noob when it comes to CSS, so please bear with me! Any help would be amazing 🙂
  19. I'm attempting to round the corners on my images on two different image blocks. Since Squarespace doesn't seem to natively support rounding corners on images, I was going to do some custom CSS work to round them out. I found this blog entry that gave me the script I needed to enter, but I can't actually properly references the images themselves - only the blocks. For example, here's a test case I built. I have two image blocks here, both set to the Poster design. This is on one of the default templates without any major changes, save for swapping out some text. If I hit inspect, the only ID I can find is for the blocks themselves, not the images. I could just be missing it, but this seems to be the only ID that doesn't start with yui (which I was told isn't static and will change every time the page is reloaded). If I reference this ID when I try to round my corners, I end up with this - a rounded image block. (I'm also not sure why every time I go into edit mode, the formatting on my test photos I'm using seem to break but that's a whole 'nother thing) I'm really new to all of this, so it's totally possible I just have the whole thing completely wrong. Anyone got any pointers? Thanks!
  20. My image is not auto sizig in Brine. What are the exact image dimensions required for the main banner in Brine? I feel like I am going mad as nothing is sizing at 1550px wide or 2500px wide as the support articles state is the correct sizing. Please help me. thanks x
  21. Hi there, I am wanting to create a Transperant text button on the image blocks of a single page (www.capecabin.com/thespace) so that it matches the 'take a look around' button used over a banner image on our homepage. Could anyone point me in the direction of the css code to achieve this? I would prefer the buttons to be fixed rather than visible on hover as I think I need to make it as clear as possible that you can click through to see more. x Jacqueline @capecabin
  22. I'm trying to change the size of the font in the image card. It says it's "body" text, but it doesn't match the body text on the rest of the site. I'm using the Rover template.
  23. Hi there! I added image blocks to a page on my site. I wanted to have them cascading down so that the images blocks change side each time (alternating left and right as the page goes down). However, when the browser is resized slightly, or I view it on my mobile, the image blocks resize, the image is huge and the text no longer appears to the side of the block but only sequentially through the page. How do I prevent this resize from happening so that the text always appears next to the image and never above or below it? I have attached a couple sample images, one of how it should look, and the other of how it looks after being resized. Thank you in advance!
  24. After reducing the padding and margins around my image blocks through coding, I am still left with a horizontal white spacing between some lines. These spaces show up even more when the page is viewed on a mobile, they seems to appear when images that I have placed in a row on my desktop get broken up and presented below one another on mobile. In the attached image its the thicker spacing. My template is Nueva. This is the page's custom coding: <style> .sqs-block { margin-left: -15px !important; margin-right: -15px !important; margin-top: -15px !important; margin-bottom: -15px !important; } </style> I have no idea what this spacing is or how to remove it and I have spent so long trying to work it out! Please help !
