  1. I have added very basic code under Design>Custom CSS to add a font and apply it to h1, h2, h3, and h4 headers. The fonts are changed everywhere except one section in my home page, which uses a Portfolio Grid Overlay. There are three photos across with titles in each one which disappear when you mouse over them. I can find where to edit the words in these titles, but the font is not changed at all by the added CSS code. There is an h4 header below this block that has been changed by the CSS code. I was thinking of inserting a code block but the section with the Portfolio Grid Overlay does not have an insertion point. Any advice? Are these titles possibly something other than the standard h1, h2, etc...?
  2. I'm trying to reduce the padding between all the grid galleries under "portfolio" and was curious if anyone knew how to do it. All the padding settings under site styles seems to change everything on the site except for the galleries. Please let me know if anyone has a solution for this. Check out the site: www.reverihomes.ca Thanks in advance! Sam
  3. Hi, Im using the brine template and on the 'about' page i am using a grid gallery to showcase some logos. see attachment. The gallery is looking fine on desktop view, but when switching to tablet, the logos seem to get really small. I'd like to use some custom css to reduce the padding around each logo for tablet only. Link to website: https://tbktest.squarespace.com/about Thanks in advance. Dan.
  4. Find it really weird that you can add descriptions to gallery images in a grid but they only display if you make the gallery a slideshow Is there any way to display the image description underneath the image while it's in a grid? Attached is an image of grid for reference, would love to have some text under those images
  5. Hi! I have a grid gallery of images and want to add a button on top of them. I've tried different methods and have been really struggling with this. Right now, I have a gallery block and a button block. I've used css to change the position of the button so it appears on top of the gallery image I want. The problem is that the button is not responsive so the position is awkward when viewed on a mobile device. I'm wondering if there's a way to position the button relative to the gallery image? I've also tried displaying the image title on top of the image. The problem with this is the title isn't a clickable link. Here is the CSS I used to move the button: Here is how it looks on a normal screen: Here's how it looks on mobile: Here is a link to my website: https://lion-wedge-b4fc.squarespace.com/usa The password is 12494

The code I have used its: .sqs-gallery-block-grid img { border-radius:5px !important; } Any suggestions on how to fix this are most welcome! Thanks, Sam
  8. Hi, I'm using the Jasper template and am having an issue with the index page grid. I have set a max page width for the site but the index page grid doesn't seem to be abiding by this rule as you can see in the attached screenshot. Everything else on the site is, including the logo and links above the grid in the screenshot Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks, O
  9. Hi there, I am building a website for a client and they have asked that the gallery grid lightbox 'X' is darker and the left and right arrows are darker and are visible all the time (rather than only on hover). I have scoured the forum and can't seem to find a code that works for the site. The template is Foster. The website is https://apricot-frog-pc6a.squarespace.com Password: lynne.2019 An example of this can be viewed on any of the pages under 'work'. Any help would be greatly received! Many thanks, Hannah
  10. My question concerns information / captions that are entered into picture galleries and how best to view this across all devices. My site is built using HAYDEN theme and I want to change the small white dot in the bottom right hand corner of images when using the gallery setting - partic in mobile devices. How do I change the white dot to the word "MORE" or "MORE DETAILS" to make it more obvious? Is there a piece of custom coding for this please?
  11. I already found a solution to show the description of an image on a gallery page with the following code: .slide-meta { position: absolute; display: block !important; color: black; font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.3; } The problem now is that other images hide the caption of the image above. How can the space under an images made larger so the fully caption is visable?
  12. I'm using the Momentum template for my website: https://earthworm-mandolin-xeek.squarespace.com/new-page-horizontal-masonry What I want to do: have a single image block that I can upload several images at once. the block of images are not all of the SAME size. Preferably Auto-Size or I can manually tweak as needed. the single block of images have ONE lightbox for all the block e.g. you can scroll and naviaged through the images once you've selected one. Options I see with this template that is not working out. Horizontal Masonry page. Issues: 1) I have to upload each image one at a time. 2) I can enable the lightbox per image but not for all the images on the page to be tied to ONE single lightbox. Plus: I can manually tweak the size of images and move around individual images creating my own image layout where images are not the same size. Image Grid Block (added to a page): Issues: 1) All images are the same size with this template - there isn't an Auto Ratio option or an ability to tweak and move around images within the grid block. Plus: 1) I can have ONE single lightbox so once an image is clicked, can navigate horizontally through images. Is there an option with Momentum template that can do what I'm requesting either through Site Style or Custom CSS. Also, I would like to make this image grid layout extend the full width of my browser page / mobile page. As you can see from the URL above: It only goes to partial page.
  13. Hi! I'm trying to add a color overlay and text overlay on hover/rollover of the gallery grid image links on the homepage of my Bedford template portfolio site. I am familiar with custom CSS, and have been using it on my portfolio template, however I can't figure out how to make this happen. Here is a link to my site: www.scoutstud.io Here is an example of the hover effect I want to achieve: http://danielfuhrerdesign.com Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Bethany
  14. Hi everyone, Ive been unable to get a set of 3 images that appear side by side on desktop to show up on mobile in one row instead of stacked. Link to the site: https://sawfish-decagon-67am.squarespace.com/liquid-mind-- the gradient circles in the top right of the page on desktop show up side by side and i'd like them to appear the same way on mobile under the header. I tried multiple ways, but left 2 of the latest attempts on the page: 1. Using an image gallery. Its set to 3 images per row, but showing up as 2 images in a row, then the third on the next row on mobile. Some instances of this page will have 2 circles and others will have 3, so I am not sure that the gallery will work? 2. Trying to link the images together using the guides and even lines in order to view them as a set, but its not translating to mobile. Thanks so much in advance for your help!
  15. I'm trying to create a hover in my gallery grid. I'd like each image in the grid to show a different image upon hovering. I have code in the css now to change the color but I'd rather it show a picture instead. Is it possible to do this? I'm using the brine template. This is the page I'm working on: https://www.stephanieausfresser.com/peakweather
  16. I'm currently using the Artesia template but I was wondering if there's any way to change the size of the images in the grid. Currently, landscape images longest edge are the same size as the shortest edge of vertical images.Instead, I would love my landscape images to be larger, and its shortest edge to be the same size as the longest edge of the vertical images similar to this website: https://lisapetrole.com/PORTFOLIO/thumbs Any help is appreciated!
  17. I'm trying to create a page with team members and although I used image blocks to create a grid-style layout, in the mobile view the images becomes large and stacked. So I figured using the gallery block would be better for a mobile view but now the problem is that I can only get a title beneath the image but not the image description, which I would use for the person's job title. Is there anyway to get both image title and description in grid gallery? Or is there a way to show image blocks in a grid layout on mobile view?I'm using Pacific. Thanks a bunch!
  18. Hey guys, This has likely been addressed before, but I would appreciate any help! Using the gallery block i'd like to make both vertical and horizontal images the same width - so in this attached example the two vertical images would be full width (and thus taller vertically) than the rows with horizontal images . Is this possible? Thanks in advance!
  19. Hi, I want to change the grid gallery padding at different @media queries/browser sizes, so when the browser and images shrink, so does the spacing between them. I scoured all the source files and can't figure out what controls that. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.
  20. Hi Everyone, I was wondering if it was somehow possible to use custom CSS to change the "Gallery Page Design" from "slideshow" to "grid" when it's being viewed on a mobile device? My issue specifically is that I really like the slideshow design when on a PC but, when a slideshow is viewed on a mobile device, it is small and somewhat awkward looking. An example of this may be viewed with this link:https://deardavid.photos/2018-italy-photography/2018-cinque-terre-italy-rocky-beach Anyway help or information on this would be greatly appreciated and thank you very much! Hope everyone has a great rest of your day! --Chris
  21. Hello. I am using the Miller template and I have created a full bleed gallery grid block on one of the index pages. The website is: https://chinchilla-shallot.squarespace.com and the password is: Testing The top and bottom borders/spacing/padding are acceptable enough on a desktop: However, on a mobile there is too much border/spacing/padding above and below the gallery block: No matter what I try, I just can't seem to reduce it. I have tried lots of different things including all of the following gallery css variations, but nothing seems to work, or it just messes other regular image blocks up on the website. @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) { .sqs-gallery-design-grid-slide .sqs-block.gallery-block .sqs-block-gallery .sqs-block { padding: 0px !important; } } And also: @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) { .sqs-block.gallery-block { padding-top: 0px !important; padding-bottom: 0px !important; padding-left: 0px !important; padding-right: 0px !important; } .sqs-layout .sqs-row .sqs-block:first-child { padding-top: 0px !important; } .sqs-layout .sqs-row .sqs-block:last-child { padding-bottom: 0px !important; } } This is getting really frustrating that I can't seem to fix it, so I would really appreciate any help to resolve this issue. I just want the gallery blocks to be full bleed on both desktop and mobile, with no unnecessary padding, without affecting any other blocks or image blocks elsewhere on the website or on other index pages. Thank you for your help.
  22. Hey guys, I'm using the Rally template and one of my pages is just a grid page of thumbnails. When you click on a thumbnail it takes you to a page showing the images and text relating to it. At the bottom of that page id love to be able to see all the existing thumbnails so my audience can navigate between the thumbnails whilst in a selected page! I hope that makes sense.... Here is what i mean ..... https://avenue-demo.squarespace.com/#/nacht-avenue/ << this shows you the selected post but also all the other project thumbnails underneath. Does anyone know how to do this in the Rally template? Do i need to embed the grid page somehow - any help would be really amazing! Thank you in advance!Katie
  23. I have a gallery grid and am wanting to find a way of being able to hover over each thumbnail and it shows an id number for each picture. It shows the ID number on the rollover when I click and the lightbox enlarges the image, but ideally would like it to show on the gallery thumbnails also using hover. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just two words of text to show over each picture when hovering. I have NO experience with CSS (but am happy to give it a try!) so if anyone can help, please make it as simple as you can :) Could you also please let me know if the code would ALL go into the Style section of CSS. It would have been great if there was somewhere we could give a title to the images and it would show up perhaps under each photo in the grid, but unfortunately I've been told this isn't possible at the moment.I've been trying to work this out for 3 days now and would be very grateful for any help at all. Thanks for your time.
  24. Hi all, does anyone know how to get image descriptions to display underneath images in a grid gallery block? I found CSS that allows you to display image titles underneath each image but descriptions have much more flexibility than titles in how you can edit them and I need that flexibility. Here is the CSS and a short video on how to use it for anyone wondering and what it looks like. It works well but it is made to display titles. A simple modification might make it reference descriptions in the gallery block instead of the titles but I am unsure how to specifically do it. Or maybe something different all together. #block-yui_3_17_2_37_1419048882075_5861 .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper .image-slide-title { display: block; }" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LownrrdrBS4
