  1. I want to determine which individual photos can be found on google ... is this possible? Google says: add a "robots.txt" file to the root directory of your server... I already did use this code: <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> BUT: I want to know how this work only for certain photos :)
  2. Site URL: https://www.beginnerballetforadults.com/ Hi! I need help getting a Google calendar to show up on mobile and tablet. It shows up fine when you look from a computer. I've added two versions of the calendar, one big and one small, to the website temporarily. My hope is to make the design responsive so that computer users will see the big calendar and mobile & tablet users will see the smaller one. But right now neither calendar loads on mobile or tablet. There's just a blank rectangle. Any help or insight appreciated! Thank you.
  3. Site URL: http://www.tvline.co.uk Please help. I am trying to add what I think is HTML (below) to my site on squarespace but the error I get says I need to upgrade to a full business plan to use JavaScript, though HTML is allowed? <script data-ad-client="ca-pub-8673100889707303" async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script> I am not a coder so not sure how to get around this and squarespace can't help me as they don't get involved when it comes to adding code. Any advice would be most appreciated.
  4. Site URL: https://www.we-moxie.com/fitness-events/2020/3/30/barre-with-heather-ashley Hello! I have desperately been trying to figure out if there is a way to add squarespace calendar events to personal google calendars WITH the event description in it. Right now, when you click the google calendar link, it adds the title to the google calendar, but not the description from the event in squarespace. Does anyone know if there is a setting or some custom CCS to make it so the description can also be added to google calendars? I would be eternally grateful. I have linked the page th
  5. Site URL: https://klikblicvijesti.info/ Hello everybody I have a problem with a "mysterious" robots.txt file. It’s mysterious for the reason that I didn’t even create it however it appears and creates a problem for me in indexing my page by Google. When I enter the File Manager of my site I can't find robots.txt anywhere. It blocks my ads and I don't know how to remove it. Here is the contents of that robots.txt: User-Agent: * Allow: / ads / preferences / Allow: / gpt / Allow: /pagead/show_ads.js Allow: /pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js Allow: /pagead/js/*/show_ads_impl.js Allow: /stat
  6. Site URL: https://www.academicworkshop.co.uk My site title keeps showing up as all uppercase in Google search results ("THE ACADEMIC WORKSHOP"), even though it's only capitalized in the site title section ("The Academic Workshop"). I've already tried changing the advanced font settings for the title to all other Text Transform options but it doesn't change the Google search result appearance for the site. Any idea what I'm missing? Thanks!
  7. Site URL: https://www.biztour.co.uk/ I have a couple of warnings that have popped up on google console that ive never seen before. Does anyone have any idea why these have popped up? I don't sell or have any products on my site.
  8. Site URL: https://www.willingworth.com/ Is there a way to integrate Google Business Reviews into my site? Is there a way to display business reviews on a site?
  9. Site URL: https://www.alimerriscoaching.com/ Hi, I want to find out how I can create a table when my site comes up in google search. Please see attached an example of what I am implying.
  10. Hi, I recently forwarded an existing domain that was previously being used for a Squarespace site to a new domain and Wordpress site. The issue is the old site is still indexed by Google and the client doesn't really want the old information seen. I still have access to the old Squarespace site and I've set it to private but not sure of the best way of no-indexing the site now?. Any advice appreciated. Andy
  11. Site URL: https://tyler-hock.com Hi, On my page titled Portfolio, I have 4 google slideshow presentations coded in. How can I make these open up in a new page or in a Lightbox fashion. As it is now, once someone is viewing the slideshow, they cant get back to my website! This is the code I have in there now - I did not do this myself, but am trying hard to fix it. Thanks so much. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/e/2PACX-1vQmVX7fkiQ9c6rU14YRzX0seU4DlJPMPvW9THMrCBBJAjLvonpWQDgqtaHVAh3kkw/embed?" data-featherlight="iframe" data-featherlight-iframe-allowfullscreen="true" data-feat
  12. Site URL: https://journeycamera.com/ I just read this article. I am stunned!! Why would Squarespace do this? I own my images. Period. https://petapixel.com/2020/05/20/squarespace-please-stop-stripping-copyright-data-from-our-photos/
  13. Site URL: https://wolf-carnation-plnt.squarespace.com/ So if you look at the right side of the header on this site you will see 3 logos. One for Facebook, one for Yelp and the one that is just a generic link. That link goes to the business's Google page! I did a live chat with a Squarespace rep and they told me Google icons are not an option. This is ridiculous if you ask me. I need to figure out a way to import the Google icon in the place of the generic link icon. Any ideas?
  14. I'm having trouble figuring out how to optimize my website so the thumbnail images associated with a blog post show up next to google search results. I've attached a screenshot showing our google result next to someone's who has obviously figured this out a little better than I have. I'm using the Farro template. Any advice you may have is appreciated.
  15. Site URL: http://www.lennyreisnerpilates.com/classes I have google calendar embedded onto my site, but recently it isn't showing up. I'm running the most recent version of Safari and Chrome, and neither display the calendar. On Chrome I get an error in the iFrame where Calendar is supposed to be "accounts.google.com refused to connect." Anyone have a solution to this error?
  16. Site URL: http://www.croppergis.com Hi All, I hope this is the correct forum for this. If not, I apologize. When I Google our company name (Cropper GIS or CropperGIS), several of the pages from our main site appear in the search results. Links to the main navigation pages seem to work fine (e.g. "About Us"), but links to the "not linked" pages (e.g. "GIS Consulting") within the site return the following error: "We couldn't find the page you were looking for." I'm sure I'm missing something very simple here, but I'm pretty new to this. Any idea what is wrong? Thank you.
  17. Site URL: http://readyanimator.com When a user Googles the name of my product, readyanimator, Google returns pages that I've hidden in Squarespace, by via Settings > SEO > Hide from search engines. In each case, the pages being displayed by Google are Product Blocks. See screenshot. What should I do to prevent Google from displaying these pages? Thanks.
  18. Would love to be able to add links to customer's Google Maps businesses with Google's new g.page URLs in the /settings/social-links menu where it would show as a Google icon instead of just a generic link icon. This would be a great way to link to a customer's business for any Google services (directions, reviews, photos, etc) Here's an example of the new link format. I think this is new within the last few months. Would love to see Squarespace support it! https://g.page/vammen-law?share
  19. Site URL: https://www.stanley-engineering.com/we-buy I added a google form as custom code to my squarespace page (https://www.blankbox.business/blank-blog/2019/5/17/embedding-google-forms-into-your-squarespace-site). Now the footer is in the middle of form. I attempted to add a spacer, but then I couldn't interact with the form. Any help would be great.
  20. Site URL: http://www.fact-investigations.be Hi there, I created and published my website about three weeks ago. It is indexed by Google, and I have Google Search Console. I receive Google Alerts on keywords that are also used on my website. The thing that worries me is that a new competitor's website (wordpress) showed up in my Google Alert, but my site didn't. I have followed steps to improve SEO (alt texts etc) and I know it also takes time, but I'm afraid I'm missing something obvious that caused my website not be noticed in the right way by Google.. Thanks, Goe
  21. For anyone who has been trying to (unsuccessfully) install Google Adsense on their Squarespace site, here are the instructions. This is similar to previous instructions, but with important changes made. This is a permanent solution. Please give it anywhere from 24 hours to a week to take effect. https://www.graesen.com/blog/resolve-google-adsense-your-earnings-may-be-at-risk-error-for-squarespace
  22. Having trouble getting my site on google indexing. I've tried in vein....
  23. Embedding it is simple enough. But that won’t work on smartphones or small devices quite well.
  24. I'm needing to embed a google calendar or office 365 calendar don't mind which (which ever is easier) I have tried google and got the embed code from google and placed into website which displays fine however it does not adjust the size so it is viewable on smaller device/mobile the user has to scroll. is there any simple custom code that would achieve this? Thanks in advance for your help.
  25. Hi, I signed for a paid subscription with SP this morning about 8 hours ago and tried to connect a domain name I own with Google. I followed the 'Connect a domain I own' steps but SP is not opening up 'DNS setting' page for me. Is there a waiting period after signing up for subscription? https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205812378 Thanks, mkcdesign
