  1. Site URL: http://plavoizeleno.rs Hello, For our site I would like to add a phpBB forum. We are using a connected domain, being that squarespace is not supporting the domain that we wanted. We are considering an option to use a hosting with our domain provider and to host a forum in a subdomain of our domain, for example to have http://forum.plavoizeleno.rs and to just add a link on out site to that page. I would like to confirm that something like that is possible being that we are using a connected domain. I already tried linking the external forum created for free just to t
  2. Hi all, I'm looking to create a new website using Squarespace and have had a decent play around with the trial as well as looked into Memberspace (and alternatives). Here's the background of what I'm trying to create. It will be similar to Value Investors Club in terms of functionality but have its own 'twist' on things. The investment research content on the website will be generated by the public. The website is simply a platform for the publication of the user-generated research posts.. They will submit their latest piece of research and it will be approved by the site admins. If
  3. Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to add a forum to the Rally template 7.1? Many thanks.
  4. I am looking at adding a forum to my Squarespace site and I am thinking about using Flarum. It looks like it is a simple PHP/MySQL application and runs on any low-end shared host or VPS. I am wondering if this is easily hosted on squarespace along with my website or if it would be much better to create a subdomain and host it somewhere else and just link back to my squarespace site?
  5. I want to create a common area/forum/discussion bord whatever you like to call it on my page, but after paying one month to bluehost and upfront annual cost to SS i cant afford to pay for another sub! Can someone help out? Thank you
  6. Hi, I want to add a forum page / discussion board to my Squarespace site. Any advice on how best I should go about this? I think I need some third party software if I'm not mistaken? Any recommendations for this would be greatly appreciated. My main goal is to move my community away from the current LinkedIn group and on to my site and interacting with the forum. So another important question along with my technical query above: Are online forums still relevant for building a community or are they a thing of the past? Any thoughts welcome. Thanks, Brian
  7. Hello all. I am looking for a solution to allow people to comment on my site, but I want them to have been approved before-hand. So for example, if someone subscribed to a paid service elsewhere, I'd like them to have the ability to comment on my posts. I spoke with Squarespace and they currently do not have a built-in way to handle this. What would be a good third-party way to be able to control what users can comment or not? Second question, what would be a good, visually appealing way to allow comments? Perhaps a forum-style thread like on Reddit. Thanks in advance!
  8. When you Ask New Question here, you get an option at the bottom to 'Notify me of replies'. If you Submit before turning that on, is there any way to get in and set it? When you Edit the quesiton, the option is no longer presented for change.

  10. Please tell me the simplest, easiest way to set up a forum on my Squarespace site. I've installed and administered a phpBB forum before on a non-Squarespace site.
  11. Hello Guys, I have seen a lot of posts on this subject, today I will show you how to add a forum to your Squarespace 7 site by using a third-party service called • Muut ( http://muut.com/ ) • Muut gives you the option to create a discussion board, and provides you with the embed code to share it on your site. The service is free, although if you want a custom domain option and more styling option, you will have to purchase a premium plan. In this video, I have shown you how you could add it to your Squarespace site (to display the forum, so the code renders, you will have to either go inco
