  1. Site URL: http://www.ozankarakoc.com Hello Friends! (My website is at www.ozankarakoc.com and I'm in the Business Plan.) Thanks to an earlier post, I achieved to force the hamburger menu to show up on desktop, but I couldn't find a way to format the overlay that opens when clicking the hamburger menu icon. The font size is too big that, when I place all my menu items, a scroll bar shows up, which looks unprofessional. Is there a way to make the font smaller or reduce the line spacing so that all the navigation items fit in the overlay? Thanks in advance! Ozan
  2. Site URL: https://goby-icosahedron-jc2m.squarespace.com/events Hi Folks, I have a few questions about the calendar customization in 7.1. Here is the page I'd like to display my calendar: https://goby-icosahedron-jc2m.squarespace.com/events (password: circle) I'd like to be able to: Change the background color of the boxes (days). Now, it's too subtle that on some screens it's almost impossible to understand the tone difference. Change the event date tag color (now white) Make the font size of the days larger And (probably the most difficult one) put a standard to the hover windows. Now, one event opens an overlay that fills two boxes, while the other one fills four. Looks completely random and doesn't make any sense to me. (Please see the images attached) Thank you so much in advance for your help. Best, Ozan
  3. Hi, Looking to have 2 photos meet in the middle like the example i've attached whilst also having them go all the way to the edge. If someone could provide some information on how to format on squarespace or some custom css to help me fix the situation would be great! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  4. Hi, can anyone help? I am having trouble with the food menu block layout, the styling of it means you need to have a title, description, price. But on the starters I don't need to have a description for something like "Olives" without it though it doesn't move the pice into the correct place. I can put a character in the space where the description is to move the price over but it doesn't look nice. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks, Jo
  5. Site URL: https://guidewire.squarespace.com/music The embed code that squarespace uses from a bandcamp link ends up cutting off the widget at a number of different page sizes. It seems that if there is auto formatting of the content it would be maybe be more dependable. Bandcamp doesn't seem to change their widgets ever and it seems like squarespace should be able to handle it more gracefully. Grabbing the embed code manually doesn't seem to be much better. Is there a better way of showcasing these elements?
  6. Site URL: https://pigeon-orange-s7hm.squarespace.com/prints Hi, I have a store: https://pigeon-orange-s7hm.squarespace.com/prints PW: Suzi I have 6 prints. Like the store, but not the individual pages. The top 3 images are portrait photos so because I have set the formatting to Square it cuts off the photo. I need the top 3 images in their individual pages to be portrait and the bottom 3 images to be square. i.e these individual pages need to be changed to portrait: https://pigeon-orange-s7hm.squarespace.com/prints/coastal-hues https://pigeon-orange-s7hm.squarespace.com/prints/coastal-kangaroo https://pigeon-orange-s7hm.squarespace.com/prints/through-the-trees-inverloch All of the others Square (as currently set up). Can this be amended with CSS? Thanks,
  7. Hello, I've created the following design using the following codes: @media screen and (min-width:641px) { .sqs-block-horizontalrule {margin-top:-50px !important; margin-bottom:-50px !important;} } However, on the live site, these links cannot be clicked. I'm assuming it's something to do with the line padding. Could anyone please offer a solution without changing the design? Thank you!
  8. Site URL: https://thenbaunderground How do I format an embedded image? I have one above an article, and it's orientated with the text (left), and I can't find a way to center it. Edit: I found the solution. You simply do... <center> embed link <center> also, make sure to press </> first
  9. Site URL: https://bruno.yoga/ Hi there, I'm on Squarespace 7.1 using the font Plantin for paragraphs, and I've been highlighting some words in bold (using the inline bold button in the text editor). Everything was looking great for the past couple of weeks. Since yesterday, these bold parts have been displaying incorrectly both on desktop and mobile, but in the Squarespace editor, they do look correct. This is how they look in the editor (and how they used to look everywhere - perfect thickness and letter spacing) This is how the bold looks on desktop: looks messy and the space between the letters is too small: And this is how the bold looks on mobile, looks thin with too much space between the letters: I haven't touched anything font related nor injected any CSS... This is driving me crazy. I would really appreciate your help! ๐Ÿ™ Thank you!
  10. Hi everyone, new to the forums but I recently ran into an issue that I can't find anywhere else in the internet. I'm using the Wav Music template and attached is a screenshot of an example product. The description is only a few lines of nonsensical latin, but it still overlaps instead of making a new line, as it's supposed to. Now, at first I added the new lines myself, however then when it is being viewed on even a slightly different sized window or screen, the lines become messed up again. Alright, that's my query, anyone have any ideas?
  11. Site URL: https://www.beneatstudio.com/media I created a new page with 3 thumbnail images accompanied by text and links. I want to add to this list but can't find an option that gives me consistent formatting. I am open to creating a new page if there is a better way to layout an ongoing list of original images & text. Thanks
  12. Hey there! The heading text in my order confirmation page is overlapping ON THE PHONE VIEW. I think I've gone through all of the font data to find any letter spacing out of the ordinary, but it is all set at 0em. Can someone please help?
  13. Site URL: https://www.winkeyewear.com Hello, I've added a form to a product that should be filled out when the product is added to cart. It works fine on desktop but on mobile it loads too wide and causes issues when you try to resize it or scroll around it. For now it is only attached to this one product but we need it to work on all of them. https://www.winkeyewear.com/ophthalmic-products/kirk-amp-kirk-cady Sonora Template (Brine family) Squarespace 7.0 effect is present on iphones on both chrome and safari. I can't confirm on non iOS devices. Is there a way we can modify the width of the form lightbox for mobile using CSS? thanks all.
  14. Site URL: https://www.artofmachine.com/shop-online?category=Jaguar Hi All, I'd like my product title and price to appear above the product image (example page in the link). This is not an option on my template (Brine). I do not want to overlay the title and cost over the image as it take away my ''secondary hover picture flick''. Any help is appreciated.
  15. Site URL: https://www.themarcuschung.com/ Hey there, first post here. Recently it has come to my attention that the words don't arrange themselves nicely when viewed on a mobile device. There are many gaps at right of the screen if the word is too long , making the blog look very untidy. i will emulate an example below. Would changing the template help? By โ€œspendingโ€ time on these non-negotiables , the compounding effects will accrue to a healthier body through time. I emphasize consistency and dispassion because emotions are susceptible to change. Stay the course.
  16. I am using a custom dotted horizontal line for a client's website...and for some reason it is showing up square (as opposed to round) on mobile. When I see the mobile preview on my desktop, the dots are round. However, when I got to the password protected site (as it's not live yet) on my phone, the dots are square. Any thoughts on how to fix this? This is the code I am using to achieve the custom dotted horizontal line. .sqs-block-horizontalrule hr { background: transparent!important;border-top: 5px dotted #868b8b;} Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  17. Site URL: https://www.joeschlangen.com/draft/brian-w5fwj Hello! I want to add small icons next to text blocks that correspond with the content of the text block. This works fine when I am viewing on my desktop (see attached image "desktopissue_1.png"), but when I switch to mobile view, it stacks the images (see attached image "mobileissue_1.png) and looks a little silly. Is there any way to make it so that certain images like the one pictured in my attachments do not stack when switching to mobile view, and instead retain the formatting that I made in the desktop version? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance, Joe
  18. Site URL: https://www.rabkinlaw.com/practices-industries Hi my page looks decent on my web browser but looks poorly formatted on my iPhone IOS. Does anyone have any tips of fixing this to make it look well formatted? Thanks!
  19. Site URL: https://dissertation-sos.squarespace.com/config/pages I am trying to get rid of the dashes that have appeared in these boxes (see screen shot) without it then changing the formatting or size of the boxes. I think this might be a coding thing (I have no coding knowledge). Can anyone help?
  20. Site URL: https://www.otsports.com/mens-custom-lacrosse-uniforms I have created submenus that are each simply a line of linked text, with each word going to the appropriate page on our site. It looks dated and I'd love to make that menu look better. Has anyone messed around with submenus?

  22. Site URL: https://plateauwineandbeer.com/menu Hello! I've been using Squarspace off and on for over ten years now. I'm very familiar with how everything should work but not as much with CSS or HTML. We just bought a wine and beer bar, and had digital menus installed. Part of the digital menu service, (DigitalPour) is pulling in our real-time menu onto our website with an iframe. Seems pretty straight-forward but the CSS I've tried doesn't seem to be doing anything. On this page, (which is hidden for now): https://plateauwineandbeer.com/menu I've added an embed block and in the </> Embed Data area I've added the code that DigitalPour gave me: <iframe src="https://fbpage.digitalpour.com/?companyID=5db1af1a352726074c624780&locationID=1"></iframe> As you can see from the hidden page, the default formatting almost looks like it wants to be a mobile version. I've deleted any custom CSS code because it just wasn't doing anything. I'll check back on this post from time to time, or if you can help and want to email me directly, my email address is: lyra@plateauwineandbeer.com. Thank you so much for your time and expertise! Lyra
  23. Site URL: https://commonfarms.com/edible-plants-of-hk-vol-1 I wanted to create three columns of text side by side, so I used three content blocks. On desktop the columns look fine, and they are reshuffled correctly on top of each other on mobile. However, on tablet view the columns do not preserve the right look of the text and squeeze each other to one side. Would appreciate any advice on fixing this issue. desktop view tablet view
  24. Site URL: https://www.pinebabyco.com/cart I'm looking to change the font/wording on the empty cart page, but when I hover over it as usual to edit, that option doesn't appear. I can't find where to change the content either, the punctuation and all caps drive me nuts!
