Any reason why Google font is not showing correctly?
PhilK posted a question in Coding and Customization
Hi We're still very much trialling Squarespace with a view to moving our site if it meets our criteria. I'm liking what I see so far especially the option to dive into the CSS and style the site to fit our brand. However I've hit a weird snag that I hope the more experienced Squarespace users might help me understand. We use the Google font Montserrat. I'm importing that into our trial template and have it working to an extent. In the code below you'll see that I'm importing several weights, but Squarespace doesn't seem to be showing the font weights as I would expect. Weight 600 loo -
Hi everyone, I'm trying to replacing fonts in avenue with my custom font. So far it's pretty much done but I haven't found any discussion about how to replace the "back to work" and "prev/ next" buttons with custom font. It would be really nice that someone can show me the way. Thank you in advance Cheng-Yo

Hi, I've created some custom page navigation links using a markdown block on a few pages on my site. In the mardown I've assigned css classes which tie back to classes I've defined in the Custom CSS pane. The styles I've defined are to make the text identical in appearance and behaviour to that of the site menu in the Wells template. Everything works perfectly, except that when viewing the live site the text created by the markdown block renders with different anti-aliasing to the text in the menu, which results in it appearing darker (to the trained eye) despite being the same colour val

Custom CSS font not showing up on Mobile
MarissaChance posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://marissalachance.squarespace.com/ I used this code to add different fonts within the same line of text throughout my website: custom CSS: @font-face { font-family: monarcha; font-style: italic; } h1{ text-align: center; } This is what I entered as the HTML within the page: <h1> a <i>MOOD</i> BOARD that <span style="font-family: monarcha">inspires me</span>. </h1> Everything looks great when I open my site on my desktop, however when I open it on my phone the entire font that I added wit- 6 replies

Are you able to reach the text on the image — both WEB and Mobile? Are there anything else you’d like to suggest to improve text/font/color for the page. I wouldn’t mind created multiple pages linking to the info or overhauling the page. any feedbacks are appreciated!

Site URL: http://primrose-okra-apc5.squarespace.com/ Hello, I am having trouble with a custom font causing overlap and/or spacing issues when viewed on a mobile. It seems to only cause problems when the text is forced onto the next line when view on a mobile. I seem to have some luck with changing the underlying font which is being overridden with custom CSS for H1, but that seems like a strange work around and it doesnt actually fix the issue. Site: http://primrose-okra-apc5.squarespace.com/ Pass: password1234 Cheers, Tom

i am in the process of moving from 7.0 to 7.1 and am redesigning my new site. I have added some custom CSS to mosaic gallery page to allow a hover effect which shows the image description on hover. I am a painter and what I would like ideally is for the description to have to lines, like the title of the work in one font and below it in a different size and possibly different font, the info of the painting (medium year size). Is there a way to add a second sort-of "subtitle" section into the image description that can make this a reality? I don't knw how to share the under construction site bc

I am using the Anya theme (I believe it's Bedford family?) and I wish to change the text size, color, etc only specifically for the footer, and not use those text specifications anywhere else on the website. Yes, squarepace load too many fonts by default. I was able to remove all webfonts from squarespace and i'm using only safe-fonts now. There are few parts for the tricks and some glitches and bugs in squarespace that I learn in the way (using 7.0) so by using this method you wont download any webfont and squarespace junk, First of all, you you will need a Typekit account (adobe fonts). Use fonts from the typekit site by putting your typekit ID in “external api keys” and change all the group of fonts you able to find in each squarespace page as blog\products\album etc to fonts that yo

Hi! How can I change typeface for monospace? My custom font works for everything else, but I don't know how to change the CSS for this. Seems that Squarespace automatically uses monospace when writing a description for an embedded block content. Also any ideas how to reduce padding between code block content and the text under it? Thanks!

Site URL: http://plavoizeleno.rs Hello, I would like some help with our fonts breaking on site in both mobile and desktop versions. We are using FF Tisa Pro fonts for our headlines, and our site is in Serbian language. We chose this font specifically because it was developed by someone who is using our local latin glyphs, like Ć, Č, Ž for example. But for some reason the display of those glyphs in our site looks broken on both the desktop and mobile version. The password for our site is edited out because site is live.

How can I form hyperlink text in a form?
Eric_Wavelength posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.joinwavelength.com/affiliate-signup I have a hyperlink in this form (it's the text that says "Download the app here." I'm accomplishing this by typing in the following text: Is there a way to change just the text color for this hyperlink. I want the other description text to remain the same, so I can't just change the theme's font colors. I want to make this hyperlink blue so it's more obviously a hyperlink. -
Summary Block fonts displaying differently on mobile
MakingWaves posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.fionapickles.com/ Hey everyone. I've added this css to change the title and category fonts for my summary blocks. Each font displays perfectly on all screen sizes when viewed through Squarespace, but now the site is live, when viewed through the browser on mobile (Chrome in my instance) the fonts don't show correctly. It's only Adobe Caslon Pro so assuming this isn't the problem? First photo is how fonts display on mobile (incorrectly) and the second is how they display through Squarespace account (correctly).
