  1. Site URL: https://gierek.com Hello! I've been trying to figure this out for hours and I've gotten no where. On the page /secondary-market/james-havard, I want to decrease the font size in the caption to 13px and reduce the height of the wrapper so it doesn't take up so much space for such a short caption. I only want this for inline image blocks only, not all image captions. Your help would be much appreciated! Please message me for the password to get past the landing page.
  2. I have successfully uploaded Avenir as the font to be used on my website and have changed h1, h2, h3 and h4 to this font. However, I can't figure out the code to change the font of blog post titles, buttons and blog post titles in the summary blocks. I am using the template Merida. My site URL (for now) is https://goose-alpaca-n3cy.squarespace.com/ Thank you! 🙂
  3. HI - Currently I can change the font in the "index typography" but I want to use a custom font. Custom font URL has already been added to CSS. Thanks!
  4. Hey! So I did some digging and found a way to use a custom font for Squarespace 7.1. Squarespace definitely has tons of fonts to choose from - but some of you may want this option so you can use your favorite font. Check it out below:
  5. Site URL: https://www.moontimetemple.com/ I have all custom fonts on my website - and I am having some trouble adjusting a few tricky ones including: -The upper right hand get started button -The newsletter sign up text -The contact/form sign up text Screenshots attached What is the code to adjust these to? The custom font I want them I have named Lito
  6. Site URL: https://www.bloomboxus.com/ Hey - I'm new to this community, I've asked countless peers to give feedback on the website that I designed. This website is new I'm still experimenting and few tweaking things. I wanted to request a mini task on what areas need modifications/improvements (e.g. Font or Text, Inline Color Font, Images & Graphics, Buttons, etc). Also, some one recommended me to create a blog tab for the growing instructions and other stuff..., my worry is it necessary to do so? Any feedback (even constructive criticism) to improve the website user navigation for both WEB and Mobile.
  7. Site URL: https://aishwaryabalasankar.com I'm looking to change the font color for my name (Aishwarya Balasankar) in the intro line on the homepage of my website. I want to change it to my logo color (#FF512F). I am looking for help with coding the same
  8. Hi We're still very much trialling Squarespace with a view to moving our site if it meets our criteria. I'm liking what I see so far especially the option to dive into the CSS and style the site to fit our brand. However I've hit a weird snag that I hope the more experienced Squarespace users might help me understand. We use the Google font Montserrat. I'm importing that into our trial template and have it working to an extent. In the code below you'll see that I'm importing several weights, but Squarespace doesn't seem to be showing the font weights as I would expect. Weight 600 looks as I'd expect it, 300 (which is called light on the Google font site) is lighter than 600 but definitely not as light as it should be on the Squarespace site and I see no difference at all when I change to weights of 200 or 100. We use these on non Squarespace sites with no problems so I'm slightly confused why they're not showing correctly here. If anyone has any suggestions or can tell me where I'm going wrong I'd really appreciate it. Screen shot below and CSS below that. @import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Montserrat:wght@100;200;300;600;700&display=swap'); @font-face{font-family: 'Montserrat', sans-serif;} h2, h4{ font-family: "Montserrat", sans-serif; padding: 0; margin: 1.5em 0 1em; color: #000; font-weight: 300; text-transform: none; } Many thanks Phil
  9. Hi everyone, I'm trying to replacing fonts in avenue with my custom font. So far it's pretty much done but I haven't found any discussion about how to replace the "back to work" and "prev/ next" buttons with custom font. It would be really nice that someone can show me the way. Thank you in advance Cheng-Yo
  10. Hi, I've created some custom page navigation links using a markdown block on a few pages on my site. In the mardown I've assigned css classes which tie back to classes I've defined in the Custom CSS pane. The styles I've defined are to make the text identical in appearance and behaviour to that of the site menu in the Wells template. Everything works perfectly, except that when viewing the live site the text created by the markdown block renders with different anti-aliasing to the text in the menu, which results in it appearing darker (to the trained eye) despite being the same colour value. The issue seems to be related to styling defined within squarespace which I can't find using a DOM inspector. When I view the site in the editor (even with the full-browser view, i.e. menu hidden) the text is rendered identically in both places. However, as I said above, on the live site (i.e. not logged in) a different anti-aliasing is applied to the custom markdown text. This leads me to believe there's some styling defined by a parent (or script?) in the DOM which is only being passed on to my custom text when viewed from inside the site editor "container". See the attached blown-up screenshot as a reference (squarespace defined menu on the left of the green line, with my custom text on the right), you may need to view at 100% to see how the edge pixel shading is different left to right. Please send an invoice for the time you spend replying to squarespace support. They were no help providing information about their own product here and instead referred me to this forum so you'd do their job for them. Thanks very much for any help
  11. Site URL: https://thomson-street.squarespace.com/ Hi, How do I change/assign more than one font + font-size to the header style on the index gallery nav in Tremont? (refer attached image #1) I would like to create the effect of the attached image #2 of white text on black background using 3 different styles / 1 for each header. I am using the Tremont template and have the index gallery navigation as the homepage.
  12. Site URL: https://marissalachance.squarespace.com/ I used this code to add different fonts within the same line of text throughout my website: custom CSS: @font-face { font-family: monarcha; font-style: italic; } h1{ text-align: center; } This is what I entered as the HTML within the page: <h1> a <i>MOOD</i> BOARD that <span style="font-family: monarcha">inspires me</span>. </h1> Everything looks great when I open my site on my desktop, however when I open it on my phone the entire font that I added with custom CSS has changed to a default one. I did notice that I when I change the font under "Miscellaneous Fonts" it changes the font at every place where my custom font is on each page. Another solution could be to change the Miscellaneous Fonts to a different one but only for Mobile, I don't want to change the Desktop design. If anyone has suggestions on how to fix this or a better way to use more than 1 font in a line of text please let me know!
  13. Site URL: https://www.bloomboxus.com/seeds Hey - I need help on improving the text and color on the image when users hover over. Should I keep the Inline Image or should I replace it? Are you able to reach the text on the image — both WEB and Mobile? Are there anything else you’d like to suggest to improve text/font/color for the page. I wouldn’t mind created multiple pages linking to the info or overhauling the page. any feedbacks are appreciated!
  14. Site URL: http://multiplestoriespodcast.com Hi, I am trying to add a custom font to my website. This is the code I am using: @font-face { font-family: 'Cream'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5fc85217dac71e5b78803919/t/5fd3564d590d9171f96aad55/1607685710583/Cream+Peach.otf) } h1 { font-family: 'Cream'; } h2 { font-family: 'Cream'; } p { font-family: 'Cream'; } This just appears on my site as Times New Roman. I have tried an OTF file and a TTF file in both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Could it be the actual font type? Please help! Edit: I have tried another computer that still does not appear to work. I can see that the CSS editor is clearly changing font but not to anything close to my actual font. Please help I am very confused.
  15. i am in the process of moving from 7.0 to 7.1 and am redesigning my new site. I have added some custom CSS to mosaic gallery page to allow a hover effect which shows the image description on hover. I am a painter and what I would like ideally is for the description to have to lines, like the title of the work in one font and below it in a different size and possibly different font, the info of the painting (medium year size). Is there a way to add a second sort-of "subtitle" section into the image description that can make this a reality? I don't knw how to share the under construction site bc it isn't published yet. Thanks!
  16. I am using the Anya theme (I believe it's Bedford family?) and I wish to change the text size, color, etc only specifically for the footer, and not use those text specifications anywhere else on the website. I have tried a few custom codes but none of them seem to work. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?
  17. Site URL: https://hibiscus-amphibian-tl3g.squarespace.com/config/design/custom-css I have managed to change all the content on my site to custom font, but am having trouble with the product prices. I was able to change the product-blocks and prices on the products individual pages but not on the products all list page that has all of the products. This worked for product blocks: /* Product Block Prices */ .product-block .productDetails .product-price { font-family: Futura Light; }
  18. Site URL: https://sarahhinch.com/journal I have updated h1, h2, h3, and h4 fonts to ALTA font on all pages with custom CCS, but the blog headings did not change (both blog titles and within each blog). Is there custom ccs that can change the rest of the headings?
  19. 20. Yes, squarepace load too many fonts by default. I was able to remove all webfonts from squarespace and i'm using only safe-fonts now. There are few parts for the tricks and some glitches and bugs in squarespace that I learn in the way (using 7.0) so by using this method you wont download any webfont and squarespace junk, First of all, you you will need a Typekit account (adobe fonts). Use fonts from the typekit site by putting your typekit ID in “external api keys” and change all the group of fonts you able to find in each squarespace page as blog\products\album etc to fonts that you load from the adobe site only (typekit and not the one that embedded in squarespace) ... later you can add inject script of the css for the typekit as described in adobe site in the header for speed gain (and the trick). In december 2020 its <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://use.typekit.net/xxxxxx.css"> just change xxxxxx to your typekit name. first of all using typekit only fonts already remove lot of fonts that squarespace load by default (for some site in 7.0 it could be more than ten). later on, while still using typekit in "external api keys" page in settings - go and change all the fonts to a safe font that you like (ariel, etc...) or if you already ok with using one or more fonts only from adobe typekit site than its ok. Now you can keep only the injected code that load the css typekit and remove the “external api keys” (But more details after, because of another bug that it can cause) anyway for complete safe-font experience keep the type code in “external api keys” and after you change all the fonts in each page to safe font and you aren’t seeing other fonts in design-styles page even not the typekit that you choose from adobe typekit site (it shows typekit, but not selected) - you are able to remove the typekit code from the "external api keys" and then from inject header. for some it could already work, and you will be able to not using any webfont. but and this is a big but - each time you will touch the design style panel it will reset. so, each time you want to make a style change, put the typekit key back in "external api keys". after the changes you do, erase it. hope it helps someone. i'm aware there are lot of bugs in the process that i was able to find, and use it for my benefit. but i know it could be tricky and you maybe need to do it few times in different order. And by the way, i'm not in developer mode. Maybe one day I will write a more detailed (and organized) way to speed squarespace while still not using developer mode. Anyway its 3 am in the night- Sorry it came out messy.
  21. Site URL: https://llama-banjo-knmn.squarespace.com/ I'm trying to add a custom font for the blog titles and dates on this basic grid blog: https://llama-banjo-knmn.squarespace.com/blog The next and previous titles at the bottom of blog post pages: https://llama-banjo-knmn.squarespace.com/blog/2020/08/21/hold-on-to-summer-for-just-a-little-longer-watermelon-salad-recipe The title and pricing on this shop page: https://llama-banjo-knmn.squarespace.com/shop As well as all text on a product page: https://llama-banjo-knmn.squarespace.com/shop/p/qsokffa5fcubq6j1f85in9l5gdaeyr I've managed to customize the rest of the text on this site, but struggling with these final customizations. Any suggestions? I'm using Squarespace 7.1. Thank you in advance!
  22. Hi! How can I change typeface for monospace? My custom font works for everything else, but I don't know how to change the CSS for this. Seems that Squarespace automatically uses monospace when writing a description for an embedded block content. Also any ideas how to reduce padding between code block content and the text under it? Thanks!
  23. Site URL: https://fiddle-opossum-gmx4.squarespace.com/ Hi all Ive been adding custom fonts to a squarespace site, and I have to say its really annoying when you find areas (lots of areas) where for some reason styles don't carry through. I have an issue with the folder structure in my navigation, it reverts to the old font. Can someone tell me how to target it in CSS and change it? Many thanks!
  24. Site URL: https://www.riverrituals.com.au Hey there, hoping someone can help here. 25. Site URL: http://plavoizeleno.rs Hello, I would like some help with our fonts breaking on site in both mobile and desktop versions. We are using FF Tisa Pro fonts for our headlines, and our site is in Serbian language. We chose this font specifically because it was developed by someone who is using our local latin glyphs, like Ć, Č, Ž for example. But for some reason the display of those glyphs in our site looks broken on both the desktop and mobile version. The password for our site is edited out because site is live.
