  1. Hello everyone, Is there a way to make a fixed header within Tremont? I tried utilizing .site-header { position: absolute:} which does work at keeping the header at the top of the page; however, I noticed on mobile this allows the active page to be infinitely swiped off screen to the left revealing the index page. Is there an addition that could prevent this from happening or another method fo fixing the header? Thanks
  2. Hey all, Im trying to add a fixed image to the background of a single page on my site. I want it for when the user scrolls down, the image stays in place. I found a tutorial online, but it doesn't seem to be working on my site... It might be perhaps because I am using 7.0. https://thirtyeightvisuals.com/blog/fixed-background here is the link to the tutorial. I attached the image I am wanting to use for the background.
  3. Hi, I would be very grateful if anyone knows if this can be done? 7.1. I'm using a multi-page template (Alma) but the main page has Jump To navigation links at the top in a narrow horizontal strip. It's a long page for visitors who are time poor attending an event. For this page only, I would like to make it sticky at the top of the screen, so that when people scroll down, they can jump to areas easily. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
  4. Skye has a fixed, or sticky, header. It can't be disabled in Styles, so to have the header move with the rest of the page, I have to do something in CSS. I tried the following code - While this did solve the problem, it made mobile view a mess. Before the changed code, my site on mobile did not stick to the top and so it wasn't a problem. With this added code, it disables most of the header, leaving only the logo that sits on top of other content. Is there a way I can implement this code to only the desktop view so it doesn't affect mobile? Thanks, -Lisa
  5. Site URL: https://www.sugartoothtours.com Hi there, Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing the banner on the homepage? The banner is responsive, but I would like it to remain fixed so that it doesn't crop any of the image out. The template is Bedford and the homepage is www.sugartoothtours.com. Hoping to create a fix that would only affect the banner on the homepage. Thanks!
  6. Site URL: https://dinosaur-fennel-sh5w.squarespace.com/ Does anyone know CSS that can make the top "section" of a page fixed for specific pages? I am essentially trying to create a secondary navigation on an individual page, but have that section / secondary nav fixed when scrolling. Below is a link to the page I'm trying to do it on. I would like the dates fixed (2020, 2019 etc) https://dinosaur-fennel-sh5w.squarespace.com/paintings-2007-2015-1 Password: 2020 Thank you!
  7. Hi, I'm new to SquareSpace so I was wondering if someone can help me........... I'm using the Skye template for my website but in PC mode/view my logo drops down as I scroll, whereas in tablet and mobile view it stays put! Does anyone know how to make it stay put in PC mode too? Thanks.
  8. Site URL: https://authenticlifechurch.com/ Question. I had a fixed on scroll header, but when I added the announcement bar it got messed up. As you scrolled a gap remained above my header where the announcement bar was. If you clicked out of the announcement bar it popped back up to the top but I'm not confident people are going to know they have to do that. Is there anyway that as you scroll the header could cover up the announcement bar and then stay fixed? I took my fixed header code out so I could have the announcement bar but this is what I had in the custom CSS: .Header { position: fixed!important; z-index: 1000; width: 100%; } @media screen and (min-width: 641px) { .Index section:first-child:not(.Index-gallery), .Main--page, .Intro, .Main { padding-top: 81px; } .Intro + .Main { padding-top: 0px; } }
  9. Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to fix the footer to the bottom of the visible section of the page, for all pages. To clarify, I'm looking to have the footer behave just as the header does when you have it set to fixed position in the header style editor i.e. a fixed position on the page when scrolling. Hope this makes sense! Any help with this would be much appreciated. Many thanks John
  10. Site URL: https://www.joeandjenphoto.com Hello, I use the Maple template from the Brine family, and I'm looking for some code to do the following: I'd like the full page index gallery on my home page to have a fixed height on desktop only, but not on mobile. I prefer the crop of the 'fixed height' on desktop so the image doesn't stretch too far down, but do not like the vertical cropping that it creates on mobile. Basically - I would like the original crop of my photos to be maintained across all platforms. I've chatted with SS support and it doesn't seem to be possible within the site styles. Thank you for your time! Joe https://www.joeandjenphoto.com
