  1. Hi - I have to create a website and wondered if Squarespace would be able to handle it. I read the support articles for creating forms & linking/integrating with 3rd party websites, but I wanted to hear thoughts from actual users. The site will be for a 3 day event and will specifically need: A way for event attendees to buy tickets and then download/print right then and/or send a copy to their email. Each ticket will need to be unique with a barcode or similar so they can't be copied and shared. I don't yet know exactly how the tickets will processed at the gate, so how we do this might change. This seems like the biggest challenge. The event will have vendors who will rent booths beforehand. The site will need a signup form for these vendors and a way for them to pay. Booth prices will vary depending on size. This looks relatively easy. Classes & presentations - The event will feature over a dozen classes & presentations that attendees will sign up for beforehand. Most of the classes will sell out quickly, so we need the ability to have it switch to "Sold Out" once the maximum amount of seats are sold. I could close the registration manually, but that would be a pain. The event will have a competition where attendees will be able to enter an item and then have it judged. We need a basic form where attendees can register to enter and submit a photo/sketch of what they plan to enter. The site will have a blog, a map of the exhibit floor and other "basic" stuff like a list of vendors, a volunteer sign up form, contact info and similar. We'd like a way for attendees to be able to log back in and see what classes & presentations they've signed up for if possible. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Events can currently be exported individually to Google Calendar or ICS by turning Show Export Links in Site Styles: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206543837#toc-events-pages-vs--calendar-blocks But I can't figure out how to export an entire calendar block of events to Google Calendar. What's the best way to do that?
  6. Can the Facebook Event Setup Tool be installed in our Websites to track events with the FB Pixel?
  7. I've searched and found some similar questions to this one, but for blog posts and tried using the code snippets on those threads to hide the banner that is pulled from the thumbnail image for the events, but it also hides the site logo and our navigation (because that's all in white). Is there a way to hide the banner while not hiding the site logo and main site nav? Or even using a solid color in place of white there, so that the site nav and logo show against it?
  8. In the last 2 days or so, I've started having trouble editing the Excerpt box in the Options tab of blog posts and events. It won't let me select any text other than something at the top of the box, and even with that I can only double-click and select an entire paragraph and not individual words. I can use the arrow keys to move my cursor through the text, but I cannot select individual words. For example, I wanted to italicize the title of a book, but I couldn't select the title. Instead, I had to use the arrow keys to move the cursor down to the text in question, use the keyboard shortcut for italics, and retype the title. Also, the text block toolbar has changed in the Excerpt box. It doesn't have the standard options it used to have, and even the Format dropdown menu has changed. I've included a couple screen shots to illustrate the problem with the toolbar. Is anyone else having a problem editing the Excerpt of a post or event? I'm using the Impact template (I mistakenly said Brine earlier). I checked my other websites (the ones that use the Brine template), and I'm having the same issue. So it appears to be independent of the template. I'm thinking this is a bug and hopefully not a "feature."

  10. hello, is there a way to hide the links at the bottom of an event's [individual] page that link to past or future events? CSS
  11. Is it possible to reorganize content on the event-item page? For example, in the event's content section, I have a lightbox form "request a quote". I would like to move the form over to the event-meta-data section (on the left) and have the rest of the content on the right, and all centered in mobile view. Is this possible? Also, is it possible to show the "request a quote" form but not the picture and additional content on the event-list page?
  12. Hello, I'm working in the Bedford template and I don't like how it displays the thumbnail image as a banner. I know how to hide the banner in custom CSS, but what I'd like to do is change it's shape. Rather than be the full width, I'd like it to be a rectangle centered in the middle. Any ideas on what CSS I'd need to accomplish that/ if it's possible? Thanks Toby
  13. We've been using Bedford and it's great. I'm wanting to display categories as an option to sort events on our events page. The events page is in list view, but I can't find a way to have a tab at the top or something that people can select a certain category and it show up just those events. I know I can make a gallery page and display only certain tags/categories, but I want viewers to view the main events page and sort them that way.
  14. I have an events page with a standard Squarespace calendar on it. When viewed on a desktop the tiles display the images that I have chosen, however, when viewed on a tablet or a phone the tiles just show a darker shade of grey. Is there a way that I can colour code the events (by category if possible) so that even if the image doesn't show the category of the event will be apparent. Thank you in advance for any helpful advice.
