  1. Site URL: http://www.apadc.com Hi All, I'm in the process of migrating our emails from myemma to Squarespace. We've been having a problem with myemma opting people out of getting emails. (I've verified with the members that they didn't opt out themselves.) I've been trying to get as clean a list as possible so I've been asking people to subscribe from the website. Those email addresses are going into a 'default' list. We need to maintain several lists, some of which has names that are already in the 'default' folder. If I add them via a CSV dump, and delete them from the default list, will Squarespace remember that they opted-in? What is best practices for moving people from the default list (which is kind of a dumping ground for everyone) into more specific lists? Thank you and I appreciate any help. Best, matthew rakola, director, American Photographic Artists, Washington, DC
  2. I'm really lost for what to do here, and this is happening with several examples of email lists in csv format. I am trying to import a CSV of email signups that were people who came directly to a landing page and entered their information in order to receive ticket presale notifications. All of the emails are valid (I even recognize a handful of them) and are 100% voluntary signups of people who engage with our business. Additionally, there are a few I am importing from venues we work with. They are lists on which people opted into marketing communications. As for the quality of these email addresses, they MUST be real and valid and properly formatted - these are emails the customer used to receive order confirmations and tickets in order to attend an event. So in all of these cases, I get that error message, which is making me entirely regret migrating from MailChimp to SquareSpace for this part of our business. I get that spam and quality of email lists are a thing, I just can't think of a better example than voluntary signups by people who are clearly real individuals? I need a rather urgent resolution on this or else I will have to go back to MailChimp, so any help is appreciated!
  3. Site URL: http://laureninowicki.com TL;DR: Is there anyway to transfer a G Suite account purchased through WordPress to Squarespace? (Domain has been transferred from WP to SS) Years ago I built my website using WordPress . com since it was cheap and simple. A few months ago, I purchased my GSuite email account through WordPress using my WordPress domain. Recently, I decided that I wanted to put more effort into my website and made the switch to Squarespace (LOVE IT) and I transferred my domain from WordPress to Squarespace easily. I cancelled my WordPress plan so it is now "domain . wordpress . com" but want to shut down my WordPress account all together. Since I purchased my G Suite through them, I can't do that and Im essentially paying an extra $6 a month for the email through them and by having the Squarespace plan that allows for a G Suite account. I just want to have my website and email all in one place and on one bill. I'm hoping there is a way to keep my G Suite as it is so I don't lose any info on it or have to set it up all over again but move it to Squarespace where my domain now is. Is there any way to do that?
  4. So im new to this stuff so bare with me. I just registered my domain and want to start using the email associated with my domain. Do i have to use this G suite through google? or can i just start using the email manually setup through my domain? If so where do I find the setting to put in my email app?
  5. Site URL: https://themuahouse.com Hello, A website that I built for a client is not receiving emails through their contact form. The email address works. I have attached screenshots of notifications that my client received. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Mark
  6. Site URL: http://www,tycaws.com Hello, I'm wondering if there's a way of changing the wording highlighted in the attached - the shop is based in the UK and we tend to say 'Delivery' instead of 'Shipping' and 'Postage and Packaging' instead of 'Shipping and Handling'. I've asked on the squarespace chat but they sent me this way. I have limited coding knowledge so would be awesome if any answers were as clear as possible! Thanks
  7. Site URL: https://www.parlourofwonders.com/ As the title says, I'm not receiving email notifications of new sales on my Squarespace store. I can view the recent sales in the Squarespace editor, but getting the emails would make my life a whole lot easier. This has been happening since around the start of May and I'm at the end of my rope! A month or two ago I had to edit my domain's MX records to make email work with G-Suite so my employees could message each other. Could that be impacting it? I still receive administrative emails from Squarespace, like when I change the email that's supposed to receive the commerce notifications, but nothing else otherwise. For reference, my domain is managed through a third-party, which is why I had to edit the MX records for G-Suite manually. I'm fairly tech-savvy, I just don't know where exactly the problem is! My guess is Squarespace, since everything else works fine with my current email setup, I'm just not getting the commerce emails I would like. Any help or suggestions would be very appreciated!
  8. Site URL: https://www.bernadettemarciniak.com/flat-lay-photos I integrated my email service provider, Mailerlite with my newsletter sign up. I know Squarespace requires a double opt-in, but when I tested the link myself, it added the e-mail address to my subscribers regardless of whether they had confirmed their subscription to my newsletter. Any guidance on this?
  9. I'd like to add a pop up on my website that invites visitors to download a how-to PDF, then, using the email address they enter I'll begin an email drip campaign. I see Squarespace has all the tools I need but I'm not sure the best practices I should use to do this effectively... or maybe I should separate this and use Mailchimp instead? Here's a bullet list of what I want to do: - create a pop up that says, "hey there! sign up and download this helpful resource that'll solve your problems!" - once they add their email address a PDF is sent to them (it's the resource I mentioned in the popup) - In the following weeks/months I'll send a weekly email with more details, offers, testimonials, etc.. also: - Ideally this same email signup form can be used on my website too. That way I can have the offer in a pop up and in the body of some pages. - Can I export email lists that are created within Squarespace? Assuming this is possible and reasonable within Squarespace, how do I best accomplish it? Do I use Mailing List or Newsletter? Should the free PDF be part of a Store and I just create links to it within my popup? Or is it best to do all of this through a third party like Mailchimp? I guess I'm looking for best practices for creating a popup which trades a visitor's email address for a helpful PDF and a number of emails over the next few months. And should it be done entirely within Squarespace or using a third-party? For reference, I'm trying to recreate this on Squarespace: https://storybrand.com/automated-email-campaign/
  10. Are there any plans to expand the available font packs in email campaigns? I would like to be able to choose fonts individually, the current combinations are very clunky and unattractive and detract from any serious branding in my opinion. Will there be any expanded options in the future?

Site URL: https://www.moreeatery.com/ Hi, Is there a way to send a customized email for different product the client buys? I don't see any options, but is there a piece of coding that would allow that? Thanks
  12. Site URL: https://neighbourhooddinners.com.au I have set up the option for delivery or pickup in our checkout, and ideally, I'd like to be able to automatically generate a different order confirmation email based on what option the customer has selected. Is this possible? How would I go about this? I'm not much of a coder so a bit lost. Thanks
  13. I am selling services, not physical products. How do I get rid of the shipping information on the automatic order confirmation email? I created all of my services, as services and not products and the shipping info is still popping up on the email order confirmation. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?
  14. Site URL: http://www.swiftmotocross.ca/membership I have setup a form for checkout on my Squarepace site. The form is a waiver with the user having to check Yes, I agree upon checkout with a digital product. When this is sent to me after checkout, the description isn't visible in the email confirmation or the order. Is it possible to have the description of each form field be included in the checkout email? I have attached an example below. The description in the checkbox form is not sent to me, only the "yes, I agree" and the title "COVID-19 Waiver." Is it possible to include the disclaimer in the description box?
  15. Site URL: https://americancoopworthregistry.org/ The only info I see via our account Dashboard is that we're offered 3 initial campaigns for free. Upgrading to the $5/month plan provides 3 Campaigns/month, limited to a total of 500 Emails/month. Is there a limit on how many "users" we're permitted? Our treasurer handles emails concerning annual election of officers and director. We have a "Newsletter person" who sends out a monthly newsletter. I would welcome any and all comments you all might make about Squarespace's email campaign capability. Thank you! Jim Child, Maine
  16. Site URL: http://www.bsweat.com Hey guys I am Trying to use zappier to automate a few things but my squarespace store is not sending the client email over to stripe unless they have an account, can I inject code to the checkout page to push client email over to stripe? If so I did try and I can send a picture but it’s not working
  17. Hi! I recently set up a website and bought a squarespace domain, and would now like to set up a business email using the same domain name e.g. hello@domain.com However cheaper websites to set up email like BlueHost etc. don't seem to let me do so because the domain already has been taken (because I bought it through squarespace.) I know squarespace offer their own email but its not something I can afford at the moment sadly. I would be so grateful for any advice, I'm a complete newbie to this!
  18. Site URL: http://lrcss.com I'm looking to CC my in-house accounting team a copy of donation notifications whenever they go out from squarespace. How do I do that? I know I can download a CSV of transactions from the Donation section in the home menu but they want actual copies of the emails that go out to donors.
  19. Currently for me to get a copy of my monthly invoice from squarespace we have to login into the system and download the invoice manually. Is there a way to have monthly invoiced emailed?
  20. Site URL: http://sebastianlefeuvre.co.uk Hello, so: My emailing system is held with fasthosts, as is my domain. So I've transferred the domain to my website, but now I'm trying to sort out the emails. My contact sheet doesn't send to info@sebastianlefeuvre.co.uk (fasthosts) but it also isn't sending to my personal email: seb.lefeuvre@hotmail.co.uk What can I do? And secondly, how can I use my emails with square space?
  21. Hello, I'm looking to simplify my business and plan to move my site over to Squarespace. I would also like to move across my weekly text based email newsletter. The problem is that I have a list of 400,000 subscribers (all double opt in). That's 1.6 million emails a month! (I'm currently with Infusionsoft, but it's overkill -- -- we don't need tagging, and we aren't an ecommerce store -- it's a simple weekly text email broadcast). I've reached out to Squarespace Select, but they've been slow to respond. Questions: Would Squarespace email be able to handle this volume? Does anyone else have any experience with large lists? Anything else I need to know about the Squarespace email platform? Thanks Farmer
  22. Site URL: https://smilodon-ocelot-my5f.squarespace.com/journal/fapa-landscape-nominee-2020 Hi, How do I make this email text smaller on DESK and MOBILE view? (all pages in footer) pass: trythis
  23. Hi folks, New user, but I have a domain purchased thru SquareSpace, and a small website built. Now I need an email address. I thought a simple email address, like me@mydomain.com, would be free or very low cost thru SquareSpace. But I see SquareSpace's only email solution is GSuite for $6/month? I don't need GSuite's capabilities. I just need one email address, that I'll access thru my Gmail account. So...are there any email alternatives at SquareSpace? If not, do I understand there's a way to get someone ELSE to host just the email? Thanks...
  24. Site URL: https://clarescott.co.uk/ I regularly get notifications via the Squarespace app saying that someone has subscribed to my newsletter but the email is not added to my list. I have storage set up for both Squarespace and Mail Chimp, but the addresses of these subscribers never appear. I am still receiving some subscribers, but quite a few have never materialised. Does anyone have any insight that they could share on this please?
  25. I transferred a domain from 123-reg.co.uk to SS on 13.3.20. The email address for this domain is still with 123-reg.co.uk and I have tried to add the two MX records they gave me to the domain settings in the domain. They are as follows: MX record Priority mx0.123-reg.co.uk. 10 mx1.123-reg.co.uk. 20 However, I get a warning that this is "Not a valid host name". 123-reg.co.uk insist they are correct and this is the only information I need to be able to connect the email address to the domain. Can anyone advise on what the issue may be? Thanks, Mark
